Celebrated my birthday here!! Made reservations for dinner after the theater we were hoping for live music which we found out does not happen on Sundays so please keep that in mind - the food is delicious. The service is impeccable. This is definitely not an inexpensive place so definitely be prepared for that, but you will get ambience you will get a vibe you will get energy and if you like hookah, they have that here as well. A beautiful place terrific for date night or dinner with friends. You will definitely have a good time and you will have a very enjoyable and delicious meal

Very tasty and great ambiance! They also have hookah, but I skipped on that. The staff attends to you well and the music is upbeat. Nice!

We reserved our table online and seated right away. This was our third time there, and the reason we kept going back is because the service is truly amazing. But it's truly insane how loud and for a lack of better word ratchet this place has gotten. Also for a place where the menu already isn't so big to begin with, they were out of the chicken skewers (our fav item on the menu) and the burrata. And the quality of the food just felt off. The music was so freaking out that I genuinely lost my voice trying to speak to the person sitting right across from me. Like i couldn't even hear my thoughts. The fact that everyone can do hookah everywhere is also not very nice as the air can get very heavy from all the smoke. My recommendation: go right when they open up after their little afternoon break. It's emptier, parties that early aren't smoking, the music is quieter, and the food tastes better when it's not rushed. Be aware of the very cramped walkway through the bar space to the seating area in the back. They really need to think about expanding soon. Lastly better for small groups.

If I could suggest anything I would say, not everyone smokes , hookah especially so get rid of the option . We came here very random one night after shopping and to our surprise they had seating for us . It does get packed so we had to wait QUITE some time for our food, however, the waiter was very kind and entertaining. He suggested we ordered some drink where we can eat the butterflies (its paper, we dont recommend) however, our 2nd and 3rd drink choices were good. The place is dimly lit, very modern. Looked like there were 2 Saudi mobsters scoping the scenes on a regular basis , very unnecessary lol. The food however was so good and they had a really dope dj . I would come back again earlier in the evening so we can miss all the hookah elites .

We came here for a birthday celebration and had a great time. The restaurant is beautiful feels very much like a Tulum/Greece restaurant. It also doesn't have any windows so one you're inside you feel like you're just in that world. When we started they brought us a dish of nicely cut fruits/vegetables to put in our water and I loved that extra effort. We got the casablanca margarita - it was really good and I loved the addition of the grapes. The bread was nicely grilled and came out nice and hot. We got the whipped eggplant dish to go with it and the dip was so good. The addition on the pine nuts on top enhanced the flavors. The drip was well seasoned and looked beautiful. The shishito peppers were nicely cooked and the sauce it came with enhanced the flavors because it felt nice and cool. We also got the Greek salad and the vinaigrette was very well seasoned. As the main dish we shared the rigatoni pomodoro and its as a nicely seasoned sauce - you can clearly see all the seasonings in the picture. The pasta was also nicely cooked. Price: Some of the items on the menu can be expensive but overall I feel like the meal was the usual amount for a fancy meal. We did have an InKind deal which helped as we got $50 off $150 meal. If you're not using InKind, check it out. It gives you 20% back for dining. Here is a link: https://app.inkind.com/refer/HLT6FRUZ

This is my first stop when I arrived to the city.. the location is perfect the food was OK ( I was expecting better) grilled octopus was salty and the lamb chops was not bad ( it could be more better ) nothing special! Service was good overall experience is just ok. Romantic light and well detailed decoration. New restaurant and lounge u gotta try it once..

A group of 3 of us had dinner reservations on a Saturday night. Upon arrival we were immediately seated. I must say I thought the place was actually much bigger than it actually is. It's definitely a vibe ( live DJ: dope violinist); the food was good & so were our cocktails. However, since there's a two hour limit on your table they kinda "rush you". It's definitely not a spot I would say let's go there again. My major complaint was that the two restrooms available were beyond disgusting to the point where I actually contemplated not using it again.

Beware! The vibes of the restaurant is misleading. Looks nice and quiet but that switches up on you. At least the food was good. And drinks were well balanced; great to have cocktails that weren't watered down. Maybe because it was a Thursday, thirsty Thursday and almost Friday? Service was above average. However the place went from quiet cozy and comfortable to loud and clubby with a live DJ to go with it. I don't get it - Are people there for a nice sit down meal or to dance like it's a club? There isn't even a dedicated open floor space for dancing, only a long entryway space dividing 2 sides of the dining room and is only wide enough for two servers to hold trays of food to pass each other comfortably with space in between them while going in opposite directions. Not a space you can use as a dedicated dance space. So why have a live DJ playing loud dance music? Is it a new trend in the restaurant business? Is the business trying to compete with the trendy clubby restaurant spots like TAO or Buddakan? But those places are much bigger so sound travels and don't hurt your ears, they also have dedicated lounge areas that AMAVI does not. The restaurant setup doesn't even give off night club vibes or else my bestie and I wouldn't have chose this restaurant for dinner. We haven't seen each other in a few months and was trying to have a long dinner to catch up on a lot. We definitely could not continue our conversation. We were screaming and still could not hear ourselves. We waited for our dessert and ate it quietly. Dinner was cut short due to the super loud music. Minus 1 star for that. This is not a place for older people who want a quiet dinner or for people who have outgrown their loud party drinking phase. It's a place that looks classy until the loud DJ music which made the vibes feel a bit trashy. The restaurant is trying to hard to appeal to a certain crowd (probably younger, they drink more than eat) and not drive away another crowd (eats more but can drink a lot). Pick one and stick with it.

    Neha S.

Um okay. Lets start. For the food- we ordered the shrimp skewers (4/10), the chicken skewers, pomme frites(5/10), lamb chops(halal 7/10), mashed potatoes(6/10) truffle pasta (3/10) & the hazelnut bar for dessert (5/10) . For the drinks, we ordered two zero proof drinks (one was strawberry, one was colada). Our service was great and the ambiance is pretty decent too Now heres the bad part - the outrageous price and the value for those prices doesnt justify it. For the amount that youre paying here you can go to a different, more established, and frankly better high end restaurant (Tao, Budakkan, Meduza were all less for the same amount of food) I'm in no way being cheap, I came to spend. I just think the value for the amount of money wasn't justifiable of the prices we paid. If everything is under 7 out of 10, there must be something off

Update: It's been 2 months since my visit and since then, I've reached out to the business manager directly as requested below and never heard back. I followed up twice and received no response. Customer service is clearly not a priority for them and that is still evident now. I was looking forward to changing my perspective on Amavi but it's a shame that this was a missed opportunity to do so.

To sum up the long review: food and drinks were great but due to the service, I will not be back. If you do decide to try it out, the apple tart dessert is the absolute best thing on the menu. I had a 6:30 resy and arrived early so I had a drink at the bar. The bartenders were super polite and welcoming, and the Amavi Martini was really good. When we got to our table, the waitress was a little standoffish. She was annoyed when we said we might do both wine and cocktails (why, I would love to know) and then we also had to order all our food together (apps+main) which was annoying but fine. Food was all great, no complaints. The waitress was never around except to take our order, and we had to keep asking random staff members for more water. The manager came around to check in on us, and mentioned that later in the evening they would have a DJ and hookah. He seemed super sweet but then we didn't see him again. After dessert, they immediately brought our check without asking if we wanted something else. After we paid, we asked if we could still get another round of drinks to which they said yes. A different guy came and told us we had to leave bc the next party was there. We told him that we ordered another round and he just said we can't because we had been there too long, no apology no nothing. Meanwhile, there was an empty table of 4 across from us and seats at the bar, seats that could have been offered to us instead but weren't. I know they just opened but anyone who has experience in the service industry would not have handled the situation in that way. A time limit was never communicated to us and the whole interaction, paired with the rude waitress, just left a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention the place is not cheap and we spent a pretty penny trying many things off the menu. Such a shame bc this place really has potential.

After hearing about this restaurant for some time, we decided to give it a shot! The Lamb Chops were amazing, the pasta was a bit too oily, the skewers were okay. We wanted to enjoy the restaurant to the full extent, including the hookah, which begins after 9pm. We had mentioned to our server we would like to order hookah. Our server was overall okay, except they ignored our request to see the hookah flavors after reminding her. We were told the hookahs weren't ready? We asked another server to show the flavors, and were completely ignored by her after she said she would. We asked for the bill after seeing her and our server continuing to show tables the hookah flavors but skipping us! Despite the hookahs being ready or not, it would have been nice to at least put our order in!

The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.

Drinks were a highlight: bright, refreshing cocktails (we loved the mint/cucumber moment and a spritz-y option). We ordered a few plates to share and everything hit. The bao were fluffy and satisfying, and the crispy chicken was a standout. Finished with a light, not-too-sweet dessert that was the perfect ending. Would recommend for a casual celebration or a coworker night out.
