    Alton's Cheese Omlette
    Diane H.

With speedy service and a smile I received my cheese Omlette. It included home fries and choice of toast and cheese and was excellent. For dessert I ordered the very creamy and delicious rice pudding. Lots of choices on the menu and plenty of on site parking.

We love to come here for the wonderful cozy ambiance and the Greek chicken souvlaki! It's a huge plate of delicious chicken, salad, and a side of pita. Service is always friendly! Definitely one of our fav lunch spots!

Breakfast special: Two eggs, toast, home fries, $7.99

Quick, clean, and cheerful. Huge parking lot, spotless restrooms, and anytime after nine am it's packed. If you eat eggs, it's vegetarian friendly. Daily specials, full coffee bar, and the noise level is average for the size of the room. In good weather, there's a covered patio with ten tables. These are a great spot to sit and unwind with a friend.

Do better Alton's on Transit in Elma, we ordered a side of Greek potatoes at $5.99, it consisted of 3 potato wedges with seasoning. Save your money on this side dish

It was my first time coming here, the staff is great and the food wasn't bad. The staff and other customers are fantastic, I'm in a wheelchair and the one bathroom I couldn't fit and but some of the customers pointed out a bigger bathroom and staff helped me with doors.

My wife and I have been going to Alton's for more than 30 years. First on Walden Ave and for the last 20 yrs, to the Elma, Transit Rd location. For a moment I thought I could not have been more disappointed in the food that I was served. I was so wrong! I am even more disappointed in the response from the "Shift Supervisor" (after I requested to speak with the manager). "The owner is buying the smaller chicken that is more tender" I agree the smaller chicken breast pieces are very tender when you are served those. As you can see what I was served LITERALLY should have never left the kitchen and if I was the"Shift Supervisor" called to handle this matter I would have assured the customer that this was not acceptable and would address the matter with the kitchen and wait staff! AND in my day the meal would have been comped also. Sorry, not sorry at all, just dating myself. As I sat there trying to maintain at least a minimum of my composure. I yet again stated that the chicken in my salad was unacceptable. She offered to have more chicken delivered as drolly as possible, implying that you have no clue how many of the rubes o.Ops our costumers would accept what I was served! Let me repeat that for you in all capitals! YOU HAVE NO CLUE HOW MANY OF THE RUBES I WAS SERVED! Alton's did reply to the Google review Response from the owner 8 hours ago Hi Timothy, We value all customer feedback and strive to provide the best possible dining experience. We apologize for falling short of your expectations and will use your comments to improve our service and quality. Please be assured that we valued all our guests and thank you for your continued patronage over the years. I do thank you for a reply. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! UP YOUR GAME! I am adding a picture of a $15.99 Caesar Salad with Chicken from one of your competitors. A breast and a half grilled chicken on top of twice the amount of romaine lettuce, slathered in Caesar dressing & copious amounts of Parmesan cheese. Alton's you spent ton's on the refurbish but are now going to lose loyal customers due to .... I'll call it what it is Short Changing The Customer! Open and then Zoom in on these pictures!!!

Great diner with a Greek flair. I loved my gyro wrap - it was quite big and served with lots of fries. Had the dill sauce on the side for dipping. Yum! It was sweet of the server to have the cooks split the sampler platter evenly on two plates so that my daughter and her friend could have their own portion. Looking forward to coming back to try some more Greek dishes. FYI - there's plenty of parking and a nice area to sit to wait for a table if it's during a meal time rush.

    Open Beef Souvlaki

This is definitely the better option of the 2 Alton's restaurants. This space is much bigger and I think the service is better too. Today I went for a classic open beef souvlaki. Everything was absolutely delicious and I wouldn't change a thing. The beef was tender and cooked perfectly! Very nicely done. We also decided to try the gyro to see if the beef tasted differently. The gyro tasted more like Italian sausage or something more seasoned. The gyro was in a quesadilla which was good with all of the flavors but I preferred the beef souvlaki over everything. Overall- come here if you're looking for good Greek food and wonderful service.

The food was good, I love the way the server interacted with the table. I'm going to have to do their brunch on Sundays because the waitress told us, that they have unlimited brunch.

    Spinach and feta omelet
    Linda M.

Pulled into their very full parking lot today and honestly expected service to be slow simply because of the amount of customers. Well was I wrong! Server came over right after we were seated and took our drink orders 2 coffees and a raspberry tea. Then took our food orders once those were delivered. Both my friends ordered the spinach and feta omelet. I actually was going to get the same but then decided to try something different, the breakfast melt. It included scrambled eggs, cheese, turkey, and bacon on a nicely toasted sandwich. My home fries were a bit disappointing. They were dry and very bland. Could definitely have used maybe some salt and pepper and perhaps onions. The sandwich made up for it though. Very tasty. Both friends seemed to enjoy their omelets. Best of all was the service. Fast and friendly with many offers on coffee refills and general follow-up. Overall good meal. Maybe next time I'll venture away from the all day breakfast menu. 2021-192

During this mornings visit, I decided to go with a light breakfast that included the traditional breakfast option--eggs, ham, rye toast--all complemented by a generous fruit cup. The presentation alone was enough to whet my appetite, with the vibrant colors of the fresh fruit beautifully arranged alongside the classic breakfast fare. The eggs were cooked to perfection, with the yolks oozing out gloriously as I cut into them. The ham was flavorful, offering a balance of saltiness and tenderness that left me craving more. The rye toast was toasted to a golden perfection, providing a satisfying crunch with every bite. The real highlight, though, was the fruit cup. Bursting with an assortment of fresh strawberries and blueberries and , it added a refreshing and healthy twist to my meal. The ambiance at Alton's Restaurant is warm and inviting. I'm definitely a breakfast person, but most days I don't enjoy waking up early and getting breakfast between the designated times most restaurants serve it at. So, I guess I'm just a brunch person. My friend and I met at Alton's around 11am on a Sunday. The parking lot was completely full and I pulled in at the right time and secured a spot. While waiting in my car, I watched some people fight over a parking spot. I walked into Alton's to give them my name and there were people everywhere. They were seating people pretty quickly, though. I know many COVID restrictions were lifted, but I am still wearing a mask and trying to social distance. I have been trying to social distance all of my life, though. They do have separators between the booths, which was nice. We were seated after about waiting 20 minutes, which wasn't bad. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. I wish I got her name, but I wasn't on my "A" game apparently. I ordered the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and sour dough. I asked for orange marmalade jelly because the container of jelly is no longer at the table. My meal was delicious, as usual. I rarely divert from the corned beef hash when I go out for breakfast. My friend enjoyed her omelet. Apparently her and I are both creatures of habit and we always get the same thing even though we need some more time to look over the menu. We like options, but we also like the comfort of knowing what we want and like. I missed drinking cups and cups of of coffee out, and had my fill at Alton's.

The pulled chicken for me was a stand out, so good! 10 piece chicken wings, cheeseburger with fries, pizza logs and crab cake platter. For our sides we tried the mac and cheese, pasta salad, baked beans, mash potatoes and sweet potatoe fries. Everything was good and would get again, except the crab cakes. These were just not good, very fishy, and burnt. The pizza logs were huge! The Mac and cheese had no seasoning, but was cheesy and after little salt and pepper wasn't to bad. My seabass was tasteless and was sat on top of a mediocre risotto...which is saying something since it was a Gouda and red pepper risotto. Also unseasoned overcooked green beans on the side. Criminal at the price. My husband's giant steak was also under-seasoned as were the sad mashed potatoes and carrots that came along with it. The steak was good quality, cooked fine, but could have been exceptional if it had any flavor beyond being a good piece of meat. The Thai shrimp appetizer was good but if you put Thai chili sauce on anything it will taste good. The scallop was decent but again not really seared well and lacking flavor even with the balsamic drizzle. Would not come back to waste hundreds of dollars on overpriced unseasoned food again.
