Tastings are $25. I don’t think outside food is allowed since they have a restaurant. We never bring in outside food.

Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We were a group of 10 people, and our server was very pushy about ordering the chicken paella and suggested getting two small paellas instead of the large seafood paella we originally wanted. I felt like she was not listening to what our group actually wanted, and the service was not good. The seafood paella was $70, which I expected to be worth the price. Unfortunately, the rice was burned, and there was almost no seafood--just one shell and a very tiny piece of calamari buried in a large amount of rice. The rice tasted like packaged or prepared rice, rather than freshly made paella. We also tried the chicken paella, and it was just as disappointing. There was only one piece of chicken with a large amount of rice, and nobody in our group liked it. Almost everyone at our table had a negative comment about the paella. In the end, we were so disappointed that we left most of the food and threw it away. For $70, I expected a much better-quality dish, especially from a winery restaurant. The should call "RICE PAELLA," Unfortunately, the food and service did not live up to our expectations, and I would not order the paella again.

When we arrived there a large party just leaving that included one couple with a young child. Imagine what could have happened had those parents not been careful, which they were. Both the dog and your husband need a major time out in a dog house.

So, take what you like from it. Overall, the cave restaurant is a bit pricey, but it's a great option for a group outing. There's a distillery on-site, but it has a long wait if you don't make a reservation. The grounds are beautiful, surrounded by rolling hills of grapevines, and many people are taking photos. Parking is a bit of a hassle. You can park down the hill and take a complimentary golf cart up, or you can pay $10 for valet parking. Cash or card payments are accepted. The bathrooms are located outside the dining area. I would coming here again.

No reflection on the bartenders and staff, they were all lovely. Just a rude owner and directing the clean up start way before the wedding was slated to end. My husband and I wanted to get involved prior to our son's booking, but our son is 27 yrs old. We thought he's old enough to handle doing business with this venue. Wrong! This venue knows how to up-sale about their property. They know that young brides and grooms are emotional. They capture on that emotion and tells you anything to get the booking. Lisa, the manager couldn't careless after she received the deposit and final payments. I've called and left numerous messages multiple times with the venue staffers that I needed to speak to Lisa. Not once did she ever returned my phone calls. On the day of the wedding, as the mother of the groom, I was served pizza!!! Our son asked about a special menu for vegetarians, pescatarians and vegans. During the sales pitch, their salesperson told our son and his bride that there wasn't any issues making special meals for those guests, me being one of them. Can you believe the nerve of this venue served me pizza on the day of the wedding??? Before the wedding, our son and his bride did the food testing. They were told no one else could come to do the food tasting. Mind you, we were the ones that paid for this venue. Our daughter in law forwarded me an email from the venue, by their chef, that no one else could come to the food tasting. Anyhow, not only myself was given pizza, our other 2 guests were also served pizza. Mind you, there were only 3 guests total that had a special dietary restriction. I was so embarrassed and horrified. I had to tell my aunt and the bride's grandmother weren't notified ahead that the venue was serving individual pizzas to dietary guests. The venue could at least offered some sort of vegetables or couscous, but nope, nothing!!!!! I can give you a very long list, but I'll only give 3. Number 1: Food wasn't cracked up to be. Even their regular menu like the basic of chicken and red meat, was real bad. Number 2: We paid for a Photo Booth thru the venue. The photo booth folks never showed up. Although the venue refunded the money, but all was lost of having our guests take pictures for memories are long gone. Luckily we paid for good photographers (like 4 photographers+videographers). They were able to capture some moments of our families and guests. Number 3: We had wedding crashers! The venue told our son they will have 3 security guards on the wedding dat. We saw none, not only 1 insight. These wedding crashers had the gall to eat cakes, ordered alcohol at the bar and joined our guests on the dance floor!!! Mind you we paid for a premium package which included open bars. Our daughter in law contacted the venue to let them know about all these issues, they didn't offered any compensation or some sort of refunds accept for the photo booth that never showed up. We have 2 other children. We'll never use this venue going forward. We told all of our friends about this venue. A lot of them were at the wedding, so they too know not to book this venue for their own children's weddings. This venue isn't worth mentioning their names. Lake Oak Meadows is pretty but not worth your money to book. There's plenty of beautiful venues around. So please, please ask questions, do comparison before booking. Don't let them tell you that they've a special going on and if you don't book right then and there that you'll loose the deal. It's not worth your money!

I was told by a staff member that the only food was out of the food truck in front of the building. I ordered nachos and a quesadilla, the waited for 1 hour to get my food, I had ordered by 6pm. I did not get my food until 7:05pm. Two employees were running the food truck and only one was working on the orders. By the time my food was handed to me it was past the time to go. Post ordering I was given a buzzer and was told to stay near because if it went off and I wasn't close it might not buzz. All of my friends were in the member area of the winery so I opted to stay near the food truck. I did ask about my order, I asked for it to just be cancelled but was told that it was being worked on; one hour later I finally received the smallest most bare carne asada nachos and a small quesadilla.

On the night of the event, 15 people actually showed up. We had three tables inside. There was one party of 4 in the back corner. The place was empty. There were a few people outside enjoying the live music. The music was great. Anyway, we brought some of our Somerset wines from home but also ordered beers, pizza and champagne. It's not like we were merely using their facility with no benefit to them. A couple came in and used another inside table. Again, there was still open seating inside. We weren't loud. We were respectful. We spent money. When it came time to cut the cake, we asked to borrow a knife. The female employee's comment was, "We can't lend you a knife. This is why we tell people to bring cupcakes" in a very condescending and rude tone. There was absolutely no excuse for that demeanor. She should have been kind. And as a side note, any time someone from our party walked up to the tasting counter, the employees didn't acknowledge them. A male and female were talking to each other and told us we needed to wait. What kind of customer service is that?? I've read through many of the comments and it sounds like bridal parties and bachelor parties are perfectly acceptable. And we all know how rowdy they can get. But our quiet retirement party did not feel welcomed. Go to Peltzer if you're in the area. Great vibe! Very chill! Amazing Sangrias and slushies.

I recently had a truly disappointing experience at Altisima Winery, and I feel compelled to share my negative review. My family and I have been loyal members of Altisima Winery since they first opened their doors. We've always enjoyed bringing our kids along and spending quality time on the patio and in the grassy area. However, our most recent visit for a friend's 40th birthday celebration left a sour taste in our mouths. To start with, I made a reservation for lunch well in advance and never received any indication that there might be an issue with having children present. When we arrived and spent over $800 on food and wine, we were repeatedly bombarded with complaints about our kids being on the premises. The staff's attitude was not only rude but also disrespectful. After lunch, we decided to relax with a glass of wine and take in the beautiful view while capturing some memorable pictures. Shockingly, we were confronted by three separate individuals who told us our kids needed to leave the area. In fact, their suggestion was for the kids to sit out in front of the winery by themselves! This was not only unacceptable but also completely unsafe. I understand that Altisima Winery may want to create a more adult-oriented atmosphere, but the way they handled the situation was nothing short of appalling. Their approach to addressing the presence of children was utterly embarrassing and humiliating. I had previously recommended this winery to our friends, but after this experience, I can confidently say that I have no desire to return to Altisima Winery ever again. In conclusion, Altisima Winery's treatment of us, loyal customers of many years, was unacceptable. Their lack of professionalism and their disrespectful approach to dealing with children on their premises has tarnished my view of this establishment. I sincerely hope they reconsider their policies and learn to treat their customers with the respect they deserve. Until then, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Altisima Winery to anyone. read more

There's a nice variety, and the quality has noticeably gone up, making for an overall better tasting experience. That said, the service is still a weak spot. The staff is often cold and unwelcoming, which takes away from the experience. It feels more transactional than inviting, which is disappointing for a winery with such a great setting. One thing to note--they are NOT kid-friendly. If you're planning to bring children along, this is not the place. Some wineries are more accommodating, but this one clearly leans toward an adults-only vibe. The atmosphere is beautiful, making it a nice spot for wine tasting, but with the lackluster service and unwelcoming vibe, there are better options in the area. read more

My husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely in Temecula Valley this past Memorial Day, booking Altisima's Tour Elevado ahead of time. We learned about the area and land, the vines, winemaking, trying an almost ready wine, and then sitting out on the balcony drinking five of their good wines paired with five tasty cheeses and the most yummy fig-jalapeño jam (with surprisingly no bite/heat to it!). Extraordinary views! Their Muscato took us by surprise as we generally do not like them but this one is not super sweet and more flavorful. A bottle came home with us:) Ty was our personable and experienced guide throughout the tour - a keeper! The winery is only a one hour scenic drive from San Diego and it was well worth it. Plus, there is a loop of 40+ wineries in this valley and lots of horse farms if you want to spend more time up there. But Altisima had top notch service and is known as having one of three best restaurants. read more

Not only does he make us feel like valued guests every time we step through the door, but his knowledge about the wines is truly impressive. Altísima Winery is a beautiful spot with great wine and an overall enjoyable atmosphere. The views and setting alone make it worth the visit, and the tasting experience was relaxed and well-paced. A big highlight of our visit was Jay. He was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. Jay took the time to explain the wines, answer questions, and made sure our group felt taken care of throughout the experience. His professionalism and positive energy really elevated the visit. While there's always room for small improvements, the quality of the wine and the service we received--especially from Jay--made for a very good experience overall. We came by 11 am to enjoy the music and enjoy some good company. Unfortunately the umbrella that we got was badly accommodated and it kept turning sideways giving shade to everyone around our group except where we were sitting. We were a big group with kids. I tried to accommodate it myself to not bother anyone since I have the same umbrella at home. They sent a security guard to tell me not to touch the umbrella. I told them I knew what was wrong with it and they didn't care. They they called the managers and one guy named "Elliot" came to tell me I couldn't touch the umbrella. My husband and I joined the wine club due to the amazing service Connor gave us in the tasting room the first time we visited the winery. Fast forward to our experience yesterday we were possibly going to be late for our reservation and Aspen helped tremendously and was very kind on the phone. When we got to the winery of course it was packed and busy but Amber (hostess) was so sweet and accommodating. Michele was our server in the lounge and checked in on our party several times to make sure we didn't need anything and was so sweet. I had such a wonderful experience at this winery! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious -- beautifully presented and full of flavor, pairing perfectly with the wines. I went a lot of times at altisima winery. Everything is so nice and beautiful. We went to celebrate our 1st anniversary with my husband in june 2021 and since that this winery is my favorite place in temecula. Especially for the manager Crystal, she is so nice, she is smilling all the time and she is taking care of the customer. I went to the gala too and everything was amazing. I am already married but I recommend this place for a wedding or any other events. The staff is nice, the food is really good and the place is so cute and perfect for a instagram post! We had the BEST experience at Altisima Winery thanks to our waiter Jay! From the moment we sat down, he was completely on top of everything--attentive without being overbearing, quick with every request, and genuinely kind the entire time. Jay made us feel so welcome and taken care of, like we were his top priority even though the place was busy. Our glasses were never empty, everything came out perfectly timed, and he had such a warm, friendly energy that made the whole experience even more special. Altisima Winery is one of my favorites and is a staple in my family and friend group! The wine is great, and if it's not too crowded and you can snag a seat on the lawn, it's the best. My friend is a member so when I go with her it's always a treat to be in the members only lounge. On hot days we get the blended sangria's and they even have beer for any of the non wine drinkers of the group. The restaurant is also AMAZING and has such great food to choose from. I got the steak frites and will probably get them every time. The days with live music outside are such a vibe, and I could sit there all day. read more

I recently visited Altísima Winery and was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. Nestled in the rolling hills, this place is a true escape from the everyday. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautiful panoramic view of the vineyards. Date: 3/22/24 Ambiance: it was raining the day I attended the winery but the ambiance was nice. Open environment you can hear everyone's convo and laughter. Price: $$$ Charcuterie board $35 Bread $10 Service; below par. It was raining. Leo is an asshole waiter. He follower me around and assured I couldn't put my board down. When I finally did my drink was removed, it was a full glass. The concierge star also a bitch. Management really needs to purge staff. Connor made our afternoon! He was a wealth of knowledge for tasting notes and new vintage releases, was friendly and fun, and helped us navigate our wine pickups with whatever substitutions we wanted (definitely a selling point for Altisima's wine club!). We let him know we had a lunch reservation across the street, and he got us in and out efficiently, while also making sure we got the most of our membership perks. We came back after lunch! Altisima Winery in Temecula wine country provided a wonderful experience for an early lunch on the Memorial Day holiday. Our waitress, Shanice, was friendly, patient and professional. She was the highlight, as well as the food. Try the parmesan fries and grilled cheese sandwich - THE BEST! The view and outdoor ambiance is incredible. Overall, the winery is very classy. It's a nice addition to our Temecula wine country and is a recommended stop along anyone's wine tasting route. read more

At first they tried to seat us outside on tall top tables that would not work for wheel chairs. We were then moved to the way outback corner of the property with filtered shade and some misters. No help arranging table and chairs. Meanwhile they never offered to seat us in the air conditioned space when they could have easily accommodated our group. We then discovered that there are no food servers-you have to order food at the bar and then someone eventually delivers it in phases. Plastic hardware, condiment packages. There are MUCH better places to enjoy in Temecula.

We had a tomato salad with that was lacking in flavor and very underwhelming. The paella comes we have the seafood one. It is hot. It is also overcooked, and I saw no calamari and we had very little seafood. I would say this was not the best paella I have had. Which is unfortunate as my friend kept saying this is the best she ever had when she had been there before. I asked her if she ever had been to café Seville. Where they have what I consider the best paella. But this is also Temecula so I really don't expect much from this area.
