Lol, the manager's review is wholly inaccurate. No manager or server "stopped by to clarify" anything. Lmao. The fact that the manager is lying speaks volumes about the business. Oh yea, and I was not able to enjoy the $3 sangria and mimosas that you claim. I don't even drink those cocktails; I only drink gin and was referring to being able to order FOOD happy hour items. So, that's another lie. Just don't even respond this time. read more

What a fantastic meal! We had been wanting to try this place ever since being referred from a friend, and it did not disappoint. The service was also solid too. One of our apps wasn't quite right (they gave one beef and one chicken empanada instead of both chicken) and they gave us a whole extra order of it without question. To start, our drinks were very good. For apps, we had the ceviche and the empanadas. Both tasty. The ceviche is non traditional Peruvian inspired ceviche. Wasn't the best we have had, but I would still order it again. For my main, I had the sea bass and it was so flavorful. Would order again. Couldn't turn down the coconut tres leches for dessert. I do wish it was more coconut forward, but it was still delicious nonetheless. Overall, a cool spot with great food. We will be back! read more

Ata Toro has a colorful and eclectic vibe that has live entertainment and a festive atmosphere. We parked in front on the street for free, and there is also a garage nearby. Our server was excellent, knowledgeable, and helpful. The only thing they need to work on is the food. Drinks: Amor Latino was not very tasty, but could be worse. Appetizer: The tiny portions of guacamole were super salty, and their housemade chips were unbelievably hard, not enjoyable at all. Main: Salmon A La Plancha was pretty bland and needed more flavor. The Herb Crusted Lamb Chops were tender but had way too much going on. Sunchoke mousse, crispy quinoa, roasted corn, oranges, olives, frisee, lemon vinaigrette, rosemary demi glaze with a cilantro green sauce. Go for a good time, not necessarily for the food. read more

I recently had brunch at Alta Toro & it was so good. My friend and I started out with a sangria. She had the red & I had the white. Both were really good and only $3 per glass. For food I decided to go with the Chilaquilles. I substituted the fried egg for egg whites only. It was a $3 up charge. I selected chicken as my protein for an extra $6. The flavor was really good. My friend had the churro chicken and waffle. She wasn't impressed and said the waffle didn't taste like a churro at all. She said she wouldn't order it again. read more

Came in after a long walking tour of Midtown. Already had a meal so I was looking for a drink and a small plate to finish out my evening. I ordered the croquettes which were a much smaller portion size than I would have liked for the cost. The drink I settled on was Amor Latino. The croquettes were small and were not anything like what I expected for taste. The drink looked better than it tasted and was nothing special. To top it off, when the bill came the gratuity was already added (Your Welcome!) I travel and eat out often and I have NEVER had a place charge auto gratuity for one person sitting at a bar. I tip 20% so the bartenders would have got their tip and this encountered would not have left a bad taste in my mouth. This place has not been open very long and and based on other reviews and my own experience, I predict this place will go the way of the dodo bird soon. read more

Delightful and fun spot for a casual dinner, especially for large groups or chill birthday celebrations! AltaToro serves an array of Latin American tapas, primarily centered around seafood. My favorite had to be their pulpo zaradeado -- the octopus was perfectly tender and springy, and the butternut squash mole and heirloom tomatoes gave the dish a great freshness while still feeling satisfying. I was also a huge fan of their gambas al ajillo, a lovely, flavor-packed shrimp served in a light but well-seasoned lobster stock and with crispy grilled bread. Beyond their food, the real star of AltaToro is their nightly fire dance -- the dancer has a phenomenal performance and is super interactive with the crowd, often weaving between tables to ensure everyone can watch the show. The entire restaurant also has the atmosphere to match, with their incredible artwork, fun and lively music, and super friendly staff! All in all, highly recommend AltaToro for a chill night out with either family, friends, or a date, especially if y'all want some entertainment with your dinner! read more

Chose this place because of the entertainment. They have live music and a dancer performing on the weekends from 6pm-10pm I believe. Check the website to verify. I went on a Saturday and caught the end of the performance! They have a cute tree in the middle of the restaurant and beautiful artwork on the walls. They also have enclosed patio seating. The service was decent. It was the end of the night so maybe it could've been better if we weren't there at the end of everyone's shift. Again, overall the service was decent. I ordered the FLAUTAS DE TUNA. It was just ok to me. I think because I wasn't expecting it to be served cold. And the tortilla was too hard in my opinion. I feel it could've had more flavor. So to make up for that which was disappointing, I ordered the CHICKEN EMPANADA. It came with 2. I was instantly upset that it wasn't my first choice and felt I'd wasted my money on the Flautas lol So yes the empanadas = yummy! PAPAS BRAVAS...surprisingly delicious. The aioli.....just perfect!!! The potatoes were roasted to perfection! We got the frozen margs which were good. I definitely will be back to try the mussels, get more empanadas, and possibly explore the larger plates! I would recommend this place for the ambience and food. read more

The food and hospitality was not great, so much for k5 hospitality, and their motto. Food was late and cold and the staff was not showing of any importance to our table. read more

New restaurant in Midtown that's been open for almost three weeks. Service was a bit slow, quality was okay, and the ambiance was good. We ordered grilled octopus, fried yuca, and seafood paella for two (which takes about 25 minutes). About 15 minutes later, we got our grilled octopus and the fried yuca. The octopus was tasty with a nice presentation. The fried yuca was nice and warm, and the sauce had a nice kick to it. Ten minutes later, a server brought out our seafood paella. Good chunks of seafood, plenty of rice, but the scallops were undercooked and lukewarm at best. read more

I went to this restaurant this afternoon (Saturday) for their brunch. It did not disappoint. I had the Chilaquiles. I substituted the salsa verde (green and mild) for the salsa borracha sauce (red and spicier) and I was glad I did. It was delicious! I ended up taking half of it home as I have a small stomach. However, it is a good portion. The black beans are served on the side. My husband had the Toro Breakfast Burrito and loved it as well. We sat on the covered patio and it was perfect. On the weekends, they have the bottomless brunch mimosas and sangrias for $30. While I did not partake, this seems like a great deal! Overall, great experience and I will be back! Pictures are of the patio and the menu as of 5/31/2025. read more

The curb appeal takes your breath away as soon as you pull up to the door. When you walk in you're greeted by very welcoming hosts and a tree of love. Now that's my word for it. I don't know what they call the tree. I was pleasantly surprised as how quaint the restaurant felt. I wasn't expecting it from the outside view. The food was delicious! You're able to get small plates (tapas) and full meals. The food recipes have a twist that is different but so good. We went for our daughter's 15th birthday and they were so accommodating. We took her and eight of her friends. So needless to say it's a restaurant suitable for teens and above. Great place for date night, celebratory dinner or a girls night out. I highly recommend. read more

My colleagues and I came here for something different from convention center food, and we were not disappointed! We had great service and the food was absolutely delicious! I couldn't get enough of the sauce for the mussels and the paella was packed full of goodies. We went on a weeknight and it was not busy. We had reservations and they were closing as we finished up, but no one ever made us feel rushed or that we were inconveniencing them. The fire dancer did a great job and there's someone nearby to support her if anything goes wrong. The décor was nice and cohesive; the backdrop in the outdoor area is so very pretty! Great experience and food to match! read more

Attended a girls night on Friday night at 8pm. My friends were late so I got an app at the bar. It wasn't too crowded but I think it's because the establishment is fairly new. I can see this changing soon. The wait staff were all very nice, checking in periodically and getting what I need. The ambiance is Beautiful and delicate and not too overly done. Every dish was tasty. I have chicken empanadas, grilled chicken and Brussels sprouts. Overall I enjoyed. The menu is a limited with my preferences so I don't think I'll be back soon but definitely recommend. read more

We came here for brunch during a weekend trip to Atlanta. From the moment we were seated to the moment we left, service was excellent. Our waitress was so sweet and encouraging of all of our drink/meal choices. The food itself was absolutely delicious! We shared the seafood paella (not pictured), Spanish french toast, and patatas bravas. Not to mention $3 mimosas and sangria!! The sangria is made in house with gin and as someone who typically does not like gin drinks, it was tastier than I could've ever imagined. The ambiance of the restaurant was so well thought out and there was even live music on the patio. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Atlanta! read more

First impression: Aesthetics are certainly on point. Fire twirling and festive decor. Service was attentive and friendly. Drinks were good! Food was generally good, but quite salty. The paella was very salty and didn't quite have the crunchy quality that I was expecting with the rice. The saltiness of the food and lack of "wow" factor there is what brings it down just one star... otherwise, a pleasant experience. read more

So. Saw this place on instagram and was super excited, not much parking , but we used valet, we walked in immediately greeted and seated. They really put effort into the decor and ambiance. Our server was nice and knowledgeable of the menu. I did get a margarita however man it was soooo bitter ! I didn't want to send it Back but it wasn't just not my thing, we got the guacamole and chips - really enjoyed the chips the salsa was super watery but not too bad but not the best I've had. So I ordered the steak - it was tender and flavorful, didn't care for the salad that came with it and I liked the yucca fries. My bro got the chicken it wasn't bad but it wasn't his fav. Loved dessert - tres leche was great. The fire dancing lady was great really cool performance. I liked the experience but I wasn't wow'd by the food. 3.5 read more

I met some friends here last week and I was interested and excited because I love me some Spanish food. I walked in and the restaurant is very spacious and it reminded me of Miami Beach. We sat down and next thing you know there is a girl performing with fire. I was caught by surprised. I did not see that caught my attention but some friends ordered the empanadas and they loved them. Some ordered the croquettes and they loved them so much that they had an additional order. I just had the burger as nothing caught my attention and I was not impressed. They had no ketchup and it was very spicy. The potatoes were also spicy and I could not eat them. The burger comes with an aioli and the chef was eager for me to try it because it was placed on the side even when I told them that I did not want it. Maybe it was expo but they sure did not hear my request. I asked for another cloth napkin as I dropped the one that I had. I asked the waiter for another napkin and I was never given another one. Clearly, he forgot so I waved at the hostess and she brought me drink napkins. Something it is better than nothing. It was an okay experience. read more

Sadly, I think you're paying for the entertainment and not good food. Everything looks to be fancy, the aesthetic, the hosts, the managers, the glassware, but it lacks sustenance and flavor. This was date night and the next morning we enjoyed IHOP more Th wagyu steak is American, so it was chewy and also lacked flavor. I just don't think it's worth the dollar you pay... I can get $1 empanadas off of Buford highway that are more filling and tasty, or 4 for $6 on papis ladies night! read more

I've been wanting to visit this restaurant the moment it opened. This restaurant is gorgeous. I went during brunch, so the menu I originally saw online was for dinner. Everything my friend and I ordered was delicious. I started with a cocktail that the waitress lit on fire when it came to the table. The guacamole was so fresh and seasoned well. The star of my meal was definitely the salmon tostada! It was beyond delicious, fresh with a spicy kick. I also had an omelet with a side of potatoes and arugula salad. Since I was full, I only ate a few bites. But everything tasted great when I ate it at home. Can't wait to return here again! read more

Table for 4 for Birthday celebration Approaching the restaurant, I snagged some nearby street parking on West Peachtree Street and paid via the park mobile app.  While walking around, I noticed a parking garage right next door to the restaurant, but not sure if it was open to the patrons. We entered the restaurant and Wifey advised that we had a reservation.  We were seated immediately. We wanted outdoor seating, but it was not open because it was an extremely hot Atlanta day.  Our arrival at 2:30 fell within the brunch window, and we were advised that the kitchen would temporarily close at 3, resuming service at 5. They emphasized that our entire party needed to be present prior to 3 pm to ensure accommodation and service. They took our orders, and we definitely did not feel like they were trying to rush us out. The restaurant is nicely decorated with great ambiance. There is a huge metal tree-like sculpture in the center of the restaurant and a huge full bar right next to it. Our server came by to check on us. We ordered a couple of appetizers,  including some Plantains and a Cachapa, which is a corn cake with some pork pieces and soft cheese. We all enjoyed the appetizers, reviewed the main menu and  decided on our entrees. My daughters and I all ordered the Chicken and Churro Waffles while Wifey ordered the Patasca de Pollo y Puerco Soup. The food did not take very long and arrived in about 10 -15 mins.  Regrettably, Wifey did not love her Patasca Soup. It was not what she expected from the description and found it to be bland, but the pork pieces were good, which she eventually started picking out. The rest of us really enjoyed the Chicken and Churro Waffles. The waffles were good and crunchy.  The staff at AltaToro was very friendly and the manager even came by to check on us. Overall, we had a very good experience and would return to try some other menu items. read more

The overall appeal of Alta Toro is amazing. It is designed well and has a beautiful aesthetic. From the large decorative tree to the colorful artwork you will take in a lot of nice visuals entering the restaurant. I went for weekend brunch. The host was able to sit me before my reservation time. He was nice and friendly. I want to thank the the menu creator for not going over board with the price of mimosas! It takes on a new sense of brunch vibes when you are not forced to purchase bottomless. You tend to over indulge when you have the option of bottomless mimosas. $3 for mimosa glass is great! My server was Brian. He was exceptional! Not only was he attentive but he made sure the visit exceeded any expectations I walked in with. I ordered the Torrijas (Spanish French Toast), Omelet A La Mexicana, and the Guava Swirl Cheesecake. I did not care much for the chocolate whipped cream on the Torrijas but everything else of flavorful with the French Toast. You get one large slice of toast. It will satisfy your French Toast craving. The potatoes that came with the Omelet A La Mexicana was really good. The drizzle on top elevated the overall taste. You get a lot of food for the price at Alta Toro. I definitely plan to go back to check our their lunch/dinner menus. read more

And just like that...she's graduated from law school and is back in Atlanta! My cousins wanted to go out for dinner. We started out with drinks because every girl's night deserves drinks. I had the Green-Go!, and they had the Amor Latino and the Avocado Margarita. All were great. Alta Toro specializes in tapas. We shared the croquetas de manchego, gambas al ajillo, camarones and guajillo, and skirt steak tacos. My other cousin ordered the tostada de salmon. The food was alright. Our waitress was amazing. The fire breathing entertainment was pretty dope. The food, that was sub par and not worth it. I am not a mole fan and the manager lady came to check on us and I asked about mole being on a certain dish and she insisted there was nothing with mole on it when I in fact had just had a dish with it on there and it was stated on the menu too. She was condescending and rude. Then when she asked to take the dish and said she would take care of it, she later changed what she said she would do. I won't be coming back, everyone at the table said the same thing about the food. Presentation is nice, flavor, not so much. The ambiance was pretty chill and nice we came for my friends birthday.
