Was there for breakfast. The place, even though it's big, it is quite hidden. There is plenty of parking and it doesn't get very busy. Their coffee is delicious and so are their organic teas (mighty leaf). Their lahmajoon is fresh out of the oven. However their pastries are a little on the stale side, including their borek (hence the one star knocked off). I feel like they shouldn't bake so many different pastries, they should just stick to baking 3-4 types of pastries, FRESH, just like their lahmajoon and they would get alot more customers. If only their borek was as fresh as their lahmajoon I'd go there every single day to grab some with a coffee or tea. They have plenty of indoor seating and a few outdoor. They have a good selection of your basic groceries, such as milk, etc...good quality juices. The customer service is excellent, the owner is very friendly, that alone makes you want to come back. Came in here just before I had a flight to catch. Ordered a chicken breast sandwich and was rewarded with my best sandwich of the year. I watched a very friendly employee pull marinated chicken onto a kebab and roast it in the pizza oven. He also went and grabbed a freshly baked sourdough baguette and started putting my sandwich together. Everything was delicious. The pizzas all looked good too but I just devoured my sandwich and caught my flight. The whole staff was very friendly and felt like a really nice local family spot. This is an Armenian bakery/sandwich place. The girl working there was an Armenian young girl with brownish hair. I asked her if she can make me a blended coffee . She didn't know how to make a blended coffee iced coffee. She told me what is that and she had to call somebody to ask them how to make it. I don't know if she was new or just didn't understand English . I ordered the coffee blended with caramel favor and with seven mini pastries . These guys are so great! I have seen this business thrive from a small mini mart to a gasoline station and is now a bakery that also offers pizzas, subs and other types of food. We go there for your everyday type breads like cookies, stuffed eclairs, slices of cakes, fruit tarts, etc. To their really good pizzas. They have a variety of breads that are recognizable to some bread that you must try. There are about 10 different types of pizzas or you can make your own. $12 any medium pizza however you like it. This is an awesome bakery. The desserts are simply amazing. I've tasted several kinds and they were all heavenly delicious. I had their pastry with cheese called khachapouri and it was great. I haven't tried their entrees yet but as I hear from other people they are yummy. Also, my father regularly goes to this bakery for coffee and he prefers it to Starbucks. This place has amazing sandwiches..and I don't even like sandwiches! My friend dropped of a sandwich for me and it was so delicious, that I had to go back and try some more. The bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I had their turkey and bed lule sandwich and would go back and try more! They toast the bread in a stone oven (used for their pizza as well). The sandwiches are huge and fresh, and comes with a small bag of chips. All for $8. I got the supstrami sandwich (I think that's how it's spelled) which was a more loaded pastrami sandwich and it was a pretty good sandwich in my opinion. The only thing I didn't like too much about it was it was a bit too salty. The bread they used was either a hit or miss with me because it did taste good and it had a nice crunch to it but a little too hard for my upper mouth that it got scratched up. Finally had the chance to go by since it was under new management. 360 degree difference. I walked in and right away one of the ladies approched me and gave me a quick overview of the store. I went to pick up bread but ended up getting pastries , salads, and bread. I had guests over and they couldn't stop talking about the pastries. Had the teramusi myself and it was great. Ehh! We used to order pizza a lot from here and lately it's just not been the same. Today's order they didn't have the right toppings and the ham had a really bad repugnant odor. Not sure if it was fresh or if the quality had been changed. The smell and taste of the ham Was so overwhelming that we just threw the pizza out. Double check to make sure it's the right toppings. It was a recent Friday afternoon and both of us were hungry after 2 job walks in the Burbank area. After driving around, we saw the front restaurant sign and saw parking right in front of the place! U-turn and parked in front. Walked in and we were greeted by 2 smiling guys who asked us if we were hungry. I said 'this is our first time here and what do you recommend?' They both proceeded to tell us the menu which offered the usual sandwich selections; turkey, ham, chicken, kebobs, etc and pizza made fresh in their own pizza oven.We decided on the 'Lula' kebob which was made fresh (medium rare for me), with everything on the fresh roll. The meat were told was rib eye and on the sandwich was so moist that it just melted in my mouth! The sandwich came with chips and we selected drinks from the cooler. We sat indoors at the tables and almost did not finish lunch because they were so big and filling!! After lunch, we walked next door to the bakery which had so many goodies that made my mouth salivate! I would dare say that the selection rivaled Porto's and lower $$.
