Aloha Stacks takes a more no-frills approach compared to a lot of other Hawaiian spots, and it really shows in their loco moco. Instead of the usual sides like macaroni salad or steamed veggies, they keep it simple: a juicy burger patty, perfectly runny sunny-side-up eggs, all sitting on a bed of steamed rice and finished with a generous drizzle of gravy. That's it. It might feel a little stripped down if you're expecting the full traditional plate, but there's something satisfying about how straightforward it is. The focus stays on the core elements, and when those hit, you don't really miss the extras.
This spot is located across the street from Cerritos mall. It's order at the register and they'll bring out your food. There's a good amount of tables that are spread out. It felt a bit cluttered though. I got to try the California omelette, breakfast burrito, and the Oreo pancake. The California omelette was good, but nothing too special about it. The breakfast burrito was stacked. My favorite was the Oreo pancake. I'm usually not a sweet breakfast girly, but this really hit the spot. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and topped with some Oreo chunks. The servers were sweet and attentive. Definitely a nice spot for brunch! Also good to note they do close at 2pm.
Another Sunday, another Aloha brunch! I decided to get French toast, but was craving the banana nut taste. I'm glad to have discovered my new breakfast go-to order! The crab omelette was good, I do think there could be more crab meat. The iced ube latte was definitely hitting with the ube flavor. All in all, a delicious visit.
I was in the area to visit a family member, and we decided to grab some brunch. Parking: This is a very popular plaza, so it's always busy. Finding a parking spot can be difficult. Be cautious of pedestrians and idiotic drivers that have no patience. Ambiance/Environment: They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. It wasn't too busy for a weekday. The inside was decently clean. Service: The cashier that assisted us was quick & efficient. Throughput didn't take too long after ordering. All the workers were courteous and willing to help. Empty plates were constantly being removed and tables were clean. Food: I ordered the Breakfast Egg Burrito with spam, and my aunt ordered eggs, bacon, and potatoes. The burrito was stuffed with spam, scrambled eggs, cheddar jack cheese, and potatoes with a side of chips & salsa and beans. Their version of potatoes were diced and seasoned well. The spam and eggs tasted as expected. Pricing: I was actually shocked my burrito was $12. This is honestly considered affordable nowadays lol. Though, $15.50 for eggs, bacon, and potatoes seemed absurd. I'd come back for their breakfast burrito and possibly try their pancakes.
The food here is BOMB. The ice mocha latte is.... It should be the standard for ice mochas. Their ice mocha latte is what I think of in my head whenever I order ice mocha anywhere, and I can never accept anything less. So chocolatey you forget it's coffee. The strawberry banana French toast are sweet, fruity and don't leave you feeling heavy or bloated which is so nice. Prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly. Seating can be an issue around 11am because they get crowded around that time which is expected when you got bomb ass food. Definitely recommend.
Aloha Stacks is a great spot for a quick and satisfying breakfast bite. The food is really good, and the setup is casual, you order at the counter, then find your own table. Just be ready to order when you get to the front of the line, as it moves pretty fast. We ordered the Spam Fried Rice, which was my favorite, super flavorful and delicious. We also tried the Loco Moco Poutine Fries with two over-easy eggs. It wasn't bad, but it could've used more loco moco sauce and meat on top. My daughter had the Chicken Curry, and the curry had a really nice flavor. I had a Hawaiian Iced Latte, which was really good, on the sweeter side and not too strong on the coffee. The orange juice tasted very fresh as well. Overall, a solid breakfast spot, and I'd definitely come back to try more items on the menu, everything sounds delicious!
It's been a minute since I've been here again and one thing I can definitely say is that it's a great little spot for some island comfort food. I was craving breakfast and going to Aloha Stacks satisfied it quite a bit. I ordered the loco moco with the hamburger patty and eggs over easy. It took a little bit for it to come out, which I'm fine with as it means it's being made fresh. The moment it came though. Boy was it delicious. It reminded me of the loco moco I would get whenever I visit Hawaii. The only knock was the gravy. It wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. But other than that everything was great.
This is a solid spot for breakfast if you're looking for something filling and delicious. The setup is you order at the counter first, pay, then grab a seat wherever you'd like and they bring the food out to you. So don't expect traditional table service, but honestly...it works fine for a casual breakfast. We tried a bunch of dishes and everything had it's pros and cons. The kids got the ube pancake and the strawberries and cream waffle and they were both tasty but more in the sweet side, as expected. The Kalua pork Benedict brought a nice Hawaiian twist to a brunch classic, and the soft shell crab omelet was surprisingly well-executed and my favorite dish. Pricing felt fair for what you get, especially given the quality and portion sizes. They also have Hawaiian coffee if you want togive that a try . They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can take your pick depending on the weather. Just remember this is a serve-yourself kind of place. You order, pay, sit, eat. If you need a lot of attention from servers, this might not be your jam, but if you're cool with low-key service and good food, it's definitely worth a visit.
Came here to say I need to come back to try the other items on the menu! I was really wanting to try the Ube waffle....next time. Instead I tried their new item which is a breakfast croissant with egg, ham and cheese with side of potatoes. Not bad and it was filling. Parking was easy before 9am. Walk to the counter and order, pay and find your seat inside or outside. Service was quick and good for solo or big groups. Not too loud, just enough to hear a conversation with a friend. Will up the ratings next time.
one of my best friends from high school back in FL came to visit LA for her birthday so I decided to treat her to Aloha Stacks! we ordered the kalua pork omelette with potatoes, then a guava toffee french toast with a side of bacon. the french toast was super good, just wish it had a little more of the sauce it comes with. the kalua pork omelette was also pretty good but it *also* needed a little extra of the chipotle sauce it comes with. there was a lot to eat so I ended up taking some of the leftover omelette to go lol. the inside of the place itself is okay, lots of tables and chairs. and the way you order is at the kiosk then they bring the food to you after. there's a restroom in the back and ample parking outside.
This place was pretty decent. The seating was a little difficult because it is order first then find your own seats. But the staff were very helpful in helping us find a table for our party of 7. The food was yummy. The fried chicken was crispy and as expected. The cheese/sauce complimented the chicken and waffle well for a sweet savory taste. The ube pancake was my favorite. Was very soft and reminded me of mochi waffles a little bit, which I loved. The breakfast burrito is your very typical breakfast burrito and was hitting the spot and satisfied our craving for a breakfast burrito. The loco moco was a good yummy choice if you want something with rice. The sauce was really flavorful! I would definitely come back if in the area!
I had passed this place and lot and always saw a huge line out the door so I figured this place must be phenomenal. I was finally able to try it out with my family. The lady taking the order seems bothered to be there. No smile, no welcome, nothing. I ordered the kalua pork breakfast burrito which comes with beans and chips. I also ordered an iced coffee, a kids meal with French toast, egg and sausage and another kids meal with a waffle, egg, and sausage. We found a table and waited for our food to be brought out to our table. I spent $43 with tip. My burrito was very bland. Not an ounce of seasoning. Beans were also bland. And coffee was just sugary milk. I couldn't taste any espresso in it. The kids liked the sausages though. They have to go bags and boxes for you to help yourself. Claw machines don't work so don't waste money on it. Overall, I'm pretty shocked at how hyped this place is. Maybe I just didn't order the right thing? Anyways, don't think I'd return.

Ube Pancakes | The pancakes are so pretty and such a surprise when they arrive, so vibrant! Haha! Purple, gooey, fluffy & delicious with every bite, as well as plentiful! I don't normally like coconut flakes, but with this dish, it absolutely works! Eggs | Fluffy & delicious! Note | This is the second location I've been to! It's also a super popular place, as there was a bit of a line, which went by quickly! Customer Service | Super friendly! Parking | Free & shared with other stores/restaurants nearby; easy breezy! Overall | Yes, please! Great customer service, fluffy, purple Ube pancakes & easy parking, it's a win!
Came in for breakfast, wasn't too crowded at 8-9 AM, but the place tends to be bumping and busy around 10-11 especially on the weekends. Ordered the cheapest thing on the menu, which was the breakfast burrito. Asked the lady in front and she said that bacon and portugese sausage were the two most popular protein choices, and it comes with beans and salsa verde. The burrito was flavorful, but nothing too notable. The only thing that stood out was the Portuguese sausage which was a fresh take on the taste of a regular breakfast burrito. Comes with potatoes, cheese, egg, and of course the protein. Parking is plentiful, place is a fast casual spot, but the lines can be long and tables aren't as easily accessible during restaurant peak times. read more
This is a nice breakfast establishment in Cerritos :) The food is pretty good and the staff are friendly as well. Given the Hawaiian menu, you can definitely expect to see 'Loco Moco'. The food is what you would expect for diner brunch. The Katsu and Waffles departs from that but otherwise a nice place to start the day. Is it amazing food? Not particularly... but it's good :) and the staff is nice! For instance their special was fried rice & shrimp which had --5 jumbo shrimp, fried rice, and a small side egg omelette by itself. Normally, this is a stir fry and not separate pieces on a plate. So it was a little bland tasting and needed hot sauce or ketchup. Stuff like that was a little disappointing, but it's nothing bad. And now you know--- so I might stick with their usual picks -- and skip the "Specials". Seating here can be tricky, with the place seating maybe only two to three dozen people max, but people move through here well enough. I personally would take it to go through because of this. Came here with my cousin to try their unique menu. You have to order your food before sitting down which I wasn't used to but made sense. This place can get packed as they're only open for breakfast/brunch and close at 3pm. I had the loco moco over their version of fried rice. It wasn't what I was expecting for a fried rice as it didn't have any meat or veggies in it. Seemed like they just added soy sauce and upcharged for it. They also didn't drizzle the gravy over it and instead lined the plate with the food on top of it. The burger patty was ok but could have been better. I had mine with scrambled eggs. It was basic but I was hungry so it did it for me at the time. I had to order extra gravy since the patty was kinda dry. The ube pancakes was bomb! It wasn't too sweet and the flavor was perfect. My cousin had the Kalua pork benedict and it was really good! The potatoes were so good and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I'd come back just for those alone! nothing beats local food early in the morning. i really don't think you can find hawaiian food this good early mornin anywhere else other than this joint. they be serving food that hits the spot every time. every time. i got the breakfast burrito with choice of meat. if you know hawaiian, you know its got to be portuguese sausage. comes with some beans and tortilla chips and was just great tasting all around. would recommend this place to anyone who misses the islands or for anyone who wants to try local soul food! read more

It was pretty good loco moco. The best one in California so far. The patty itself was good and the gravy was also good. Nice fluffy eggs. Service is good. You walk up to order, find a seat and they will bring it your table. It's nice and bright inside. Outside seating is available. Fountain soda is good and free water. 2 restrooms and the one I used could be a 1 bedroom apartment. Pretty clean too. I'll be coming back to try more of the menu. read more

Garden stuffed crepes: so packed with eggs, veggies, and mushrooms! It was simple yet so tasty and filling. The side house salad also was surprisingly great. I really liked the light vinegary dressing it was tossed in and the crunch factor of the crispy noodles on top. Crab and mushroom Benedict had a good amount of crab on it. The potatoes that go with it are well fried and not too oily. The ube coconut pancake was sooo good when it was hot and fresh. Most of the ube flavor comes with the sauce so it was good that the pancakes were drenched in it! The kalua pork omelette is extremely filling and a LOT. It was very good according to my mom and dad but be ready for a food coma. service was good overall, mostly a self serve place. It got super busy after we came (around 11:30am) but the lines moved along well. I'd definitely recommend this place for a great brunch spot. I cannot wait to dine here again. Staff is kind, but the food is so dang on good! I ordered the crab omelette. My daughter ordered either blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes. My girlfriend ordered macadamia nut pancakes. We all enjoyed our food so much. I had nothing left over. I also enjoyed a one latte with oat milk. Super yummy. Steer clear of the table in the back near the kitchen door. Lots of staff traffic and it's easy to get hit if not careful. read more
what a cute place serving local hawai'i breakfast/brunch! i found this place on yelp looking for brunch and their pancakes looked so yummy. this area is near anaheim so if i'm ever in the area again i would love to try their other dishes and drinks! we got the loco moco and banana macadamia nut pancakes. i also got to try a bit of their ube pancakes which were INSANELY good. the banana macnut is such a nostalgic pancake to me (if you grew up in hawai'i and have been to koa pancake house, u know) it was nice and fluffy but i wish it was served a bit hotter. loco moco had a nice flavor but the patty was a little dry- the gravy and over easy egg compromised for it. nonetheless what a lovely place! workers were so sweet and the customers around us seem like regulars who love this place for a reason! read more

***BEWARE OF TO-GO ORDERS*** *NOT THE SAME AS DINE IN BUT SAME PRICE* This has been a go-to spot for island style breakfast over the past few years. The oxtail loco moco is my favorite. Or at least it used to be. I'd come in/pick up food from here about every other month. It's a breakfast spot that usually doesn't disappoint in portion size or flavor. Although it's decently pricey (you can expect to spend about $60-$70 on breakfast for two people including drinks and tip), I don't mind because the food is typically good. However, today was by far the most DISAPPOINTING experience. I've ordered the oxtail loco moco plenty of times both in person and to-go. Today was no different, but when I got home and opened up the box I was shocked at how little oxtail there was. Unfortunately, for the two tiny pieces of oxtail pictured on the top - there was almost no meat and was two pieces of bone! For about $25, I'd expect more from this restaurant. Maybe they tell their employees to cheap out on to-go orders now? It wasn't how it used to be in the past, and I've included what one of the old dine-in portions used to look like. I haven't dined in for a couple of months now so I can't say if that's still what the dine in portion is, but I'd caution anyone ordering this particular dish to-go because you might be in for a rip off!!! read more

We arrived around 8. Not too crowded but when we were half way through our breakfast, it was picking up. You order and then you sit anywhere that's open and they bring the food to your table. We had the Ube coconut pancake, the maca nut banana pancake, a spam masubi, and chilaquiles. Didn't get a picture of the Masubi or chilaquiles beca we were starving! Never had anything Ube before so I was scared it would be too sweet. It wasn't! It was so delicious! It's a nice little spot. read more

I came here a few days ago with some friends. They opted to try this place as they don't have this where they're from. We went around 10, and there was no line. I've been here on the weekends and it's pretty packed. There was a line out the door. We ordered pretty fast. And the food came out about 15 minutes later. I got the eggs Benedict which was pretty good. My friend's got the breakfast tots which were crunchy and delicious. My other friend got the spicy chicken waffles. The chicken wasn't that spicy. Got here after the gym with my son our first time here we were greeted and explained how to order got our order in and waited. The food was so goood I loved it. My son loved his crab omelet, it wasn't as busy as I thought it was gonna be but dang did it mid meal people poured into this resturant. All in all would. I go again? Yes just look over the menu a little longer they have a wide range of options. I'm not a fan of the layout but that's just my anxiety and antisocial asss talking. It's by target so there's a lot more parking you just gotta walk a little. read more
Tried this place for the 1st time and it was super yummy! It was a quick service sit down restaurant which I love. You order and pay and they bring it out to your table. Super family friendly, and appears to be culturally loved by all. The food I ordered was delicious! As I watched all the tables get their food delivered I saw how yummy it all looked! I ordered the strawberry and banana Nutella crepes and man were they delicious!!!! They give you such a large portion too! I also ordered a side of potatoes and they were seasoned perfectly! The servers here were all awesome and the restaurant it self was busy and constantly doing turn overs! Definitely put this place on your list for some yummy eats!!!! read more

Since not having been to this establishment I'm pleased to know the quality of the food remains high. Service is always good even when it's packed on the weekends. The decor seems to be the same as I remember but still glad it's held its cleanliness. Always a great choice when needing a hefty breakfast lol read more

I found this place on yelp. I was so excited to go since i saw their menu. I took my daughter. She wanted the moco loco and i couldnt wait to get the spam breakfast burrito. Loco moco was good. Service was also good. Here comes my issue. The spam burrito had almost no spam in it. The spam pieces were the size of a pencil eraser.....and in the first half of my burrito there was literally 4 pieces. And on the other half there was 5. In the picture you can see the second half of my burrito. You can see one piece of spam. There were five pieces that size. Crazy. I still might go back and give it another try but what a let down. I was so beyond happy when we found this place! I go to Hawaii as much as possible. This place gave me straight to Hawaii restaurant vibes. As I was looking over their yelp review, the one thing that stood out was a fruity pebble French toast.. that was the star of the show! We decided to share it and we devoured it I like really simple breakfasts so I did the egg and spam and rice ! And surprisingly, I heated it up the next day to finish off the leftovers and it was delicious! My boyfriend really enjoyed the Kahlúa pork omelette. One thing I did not get a picture of was the guava juice , hands-down, the best guava juice I've ever had in my life... if the line wasn't so long. I was gonna have Him go get a second cup! Note- if you do want to eat altogether, I would come a little earlier or bring someone to hold a table. The place is extremely busy. But don't worry the food comes out fast and delicious! we got our food within 5 to 10 minutes of ordering it read more

Was looking for a quick breakfast with family. Getting there , you order then you find somewhere to sit at the open tables that say reserve. It was full when we got in line but by the time we ordered there were numerous tables to sit at. So no need to worry about sitting before you order. I got the triple berry waffle thingy which I wish I didn't order because I thought maybe the batter was berry flavored or something . Which it wasn't, just a plain boring waffle with fruit on top and watered down toffee. My mother got a breakfast burrito that was literally whatever. I had a few bites and it just tasted like any other drive thru place you can get one. So that was another disappointment. Fortunately my gf got some veggie crepe thing which was actually really good. So that kind of saved breakfast since for the most part all of use were sharing each others food. I give it 3 stars because they actually do have numerous other items that look really good that I probably should've tried instead. I saw a lot of people order the ube pancake so I'm guessing it's good and popular there. Either way first time was whatever and 2 of the 3 things we got were a miss. Would still kind of give it another try if I'm in the area again. I would say just maybe stray away from the boring regular waffle and breakfast burrito. read more
Went in on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy. The line to order moved fast and our food came out fast which was surprising! They have indoor and outdoor seating. We were lucky to find a table outside at the very end! We tried a few things, not pictured is my iced matcha which was good but nothing special. The breakfast potatoes were good but could've used salt. The ube pancakes were very buttery which made them salty. The ube cream? Jam? on top is really good but still didn't take away the saltiness. The breakfast burrito was also missing salt/seasoning. The beans, chips and salsa were good. Overall, probably wouldn't return. read more

How good was it? I forgot to take pictures, that's how good. If you gonna market Hawaiian food, then I'm gonna have to judge your loco moco by the gravy. Rice was the right kind of fluffy. The hamburger party actually had very good flavor to it without the gravy. Sunny side up egg was perfect. The gravy was not your average gravy. It had a different taste, a little pop, and I liked it! Good flavor and filling, as expected. I will come back to try some other dishes. The only ding...where is the Mac salad? This island boy needs my Mac with my island comfort food. Just sayin. We came on a weekday morning so plenty of seats available. The daily specials included deep fried oxtail or deep fried ribs. Ended up with deep fried rib with chimichurri sauce which came with macaroni salad rice. Wow that was a nice crispy rib with tender meat inside. We ordered 3 mac n banana pancakes because of course macadamia nut reminds us of hawaii. It was pretty good but not exactly reminding us of hawaii. I'm still looking for a macadamia nut sauce syrup for pancakes. Also tried the crab fried rice with eggs, this was wow tasty crabby just what you wished for. I was very happy to see they have Lavazza coffee and free refills. They have interesting latte options but I love a good brand coffee when it's available. I can imagine this place is crowded on weekebut. Its spacious inside and clean good for families. read more

I don't know the answer to that but they are good. I would look on their website to see if they provide that information.
