I dropped off my friends at LAX for a outgoing flight and it was a Saturday early morning. I was craving breakfast and had never been to any Aloha Stacks prior. Located at a large strip center, there was an abundance of parking available. I prefer the setup of how orders are placed at the counter and the staff brings out the food to your table of choice at the dining room, which is quite large and spacious. There's a self-service beverage bar and there's a condiment station too. We ordered the prime rib breakfast burrito and the Loco Moco with the hamburger patty for protein. My breakfast burrito was sizable and contained added protein of guacamole and the prime rib was tender and yummy. The loco moco was topped with requested medium cooked eggs and the yummy gravy was served on the side which I prefer. Portions were generous and filling. I'm looking forward to visiting another Aloha Stacks and trying their macadamia nut pancakes.
Their Hawaiian food is great. Long wait sometimes. You need to order your food before you can get a table. I tried the rib eye loco moco and it was one and done for me. I prefer the kalua pork loco moco or the classic burger patty.

Always a great breakfast - food and service! So many options, sweet and savory! Great coffee and tea drinks! Pancakes are amazing (especially their Ube Pancakes)! Portions are very generous! First time trying their salsa, very good! Can't wait unril.their Long Beach Store options! We drive to Cerritos for Aloha Stacks!
What an absolute let down. Been wanting to try this place out for years but they're always so busy that I have t had the chance. Came here on a Tuesday about 1230. The place was dirty. The tables smelled like dirty rags. The food was underwhelming and the portions are small for what you pay. I paid $21 for eggs, burnt Portuguese sausage and macadamia nut pancakes. The eggs had egg shells in them... The Portuguese sausage was burnt, and I've had better macadamia nut pancakes at Polly's! I will never ever come back here. I love supporting small businesses, especially.Island food being Hawaii is my home away from home. The person who brought us our food didn't even offer to bring us an extra plate. She saw that we were sharing our food, she didn't even offer to bring us any condiments when she saw that our table had none... didn't even ask us if we needed anything else.. don't. Waste. Your. Time. Or. Money.
I had a meeting that I was running late to so I need a quick nibble. I orded the kids meal which included fries and chicken Fingers. The chicken had a nice crispy seasoned coating it taste delicous. The chicken was juicy too. I also enjoyed ice ube latte with Carmel nice smooth and refreshing taste.
A craving for pancakes led my husband and I to "Aloha Stacks" in Cerritos. This place never lets you down. The customer service is good, the restaurant is clean and there is plenty of parking. The food is "Oh So Delicious" and worth every penny . It is across the street from Los Cerritos Mall in case retail therapy is needed. There are a lot of other restaurants and eateries available in case you get hungry after shopping as "Aloha Stacks" is only open from 6:30am to 2:00pm, 7 days a week. There is another location in Whittier. I recommend this restaurant.
This spot is located across the street from Cerritos mall. It's order at the register and they'll bring out your food. There's a good amount of tables that are spread out. It felt a bit cluttered though. I got to try the California omelette, breakfast burrito, and the Oreo pancake. The California omelette was good, but nothing too special about it. The breakfast burrito was stacked. My favorite was the Oreo pancake. I'm usually not a sweet breakfast girly, but this really hit the spot. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and topped with some Oreo chunks. The servers were sweet and attentive. Definitely a nice spot for brunch! Also good to note they do close at 2pm.
Went for breakfast and ordered the waffle trio. Looked great and tasted delicious. However, toward the end of my meal, I went to move all the fruit off the waffle and found a small hair embedded in the waffle. Possibly a nose hair or eyelash hair, or maybe even an eyebrow hair. Idk. I wasn't sure if I was going to say anything, but decided I should because I realized that I might have eaten many hairs! Hell if I know! So anyway, I go on to tell the cashier, and her reaction was "okay." I was like, okay just thought I'd let you know. And then she says, "did you want a refund or something?"... uh, no thanks. "Or another waffle?" OH, definitely not. "Are you sure?" Yes, I'm sure. Then she finally says, "well I'll let them know in the back. I'm really sorry about that." I was very disappointed in the reaction to my complaint. Her tone was very "okay, and?" (Run the tape and see for yourself if you're the owner and record everything). As a Business Manager and experience heavy in customer service, the apology should have been first and genuine. The refund should have been insisted or a gift card should have been provided for a future visit. Her "okay" remark made it seem like she was already expecting a complaint or was making me out to be a liar which I did not appreciate. I used to really like this place.
Aloha Stacks takes a more no-frills approach compared to a lot of other Hawaiian spots, and it really shows in their loco moco. Instead of the usual sides like macaroni salad or steamed veggies, they keep it simple: a juicy burger patty, perfectly runny sunny-side-up eggs, all sitting on a bed of steamed rice and finished with a generous drizzle of gravy. That's it. It might feel a little stripped down if you're expecting the full traditional plate, but there's something satisfying about how straightforward it is. The focus stays on the core elements, and when those hit, you don't really miss the extras.
Where Aloha Stacks really shines is the pancakes--they were delicious. Everything else tasted like your standard breakfast joint. Nothing bad, just nothing particularly memorable either. Seating is limited, and the place can get very busy during peak hours.
I was in the area to visit a family member, and we decided to grab some brunch. Parking: This is a very popular plaza, so it's always busy. Finding a parking spot can be difficult. Be cautious of pedestrians and idiotic drivers that have no patience. Ambiance/Environment: They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. It wasn't too busy for a weekday. The inside was decently clean. Service: The cashier that assisted us was quick & efficient. Throughput didn't take too long after ordering. All the workers were courteous and willing to help. Empty plates were constantly being removed and tables were clean. Food: I ordered the Breakfast Egg Burrito with spam, and my aunt ordered eggs, bacon, and potatoes. The burrito was stuffed with spam, scrambled eggs, cheddar jack cheese, and potatoes with a side of chips & salsa and beans. Their version of potatoes were diced and seasoned well. The spam and eggs tasted as expected. Pricing: I was actually shocked my burrito was $12. This is honestly considered affordable nowadays lol. Though, $15.50 for eggs, bacon, and potatoes seemed absurd. I'd come back for their breakfast burrito and possibly try their pancakes.
I've had Aloha Stacks on my radar for a while, so when my daughter asked where I wanted to go for Mother's Day, I didn't have to think twice! The restaurant is clean and spacious inside and also has a few tables outside for al fresco dining. Orders are placed at the counter, you're given a number, and your food is brought to your table when it's ready. I'd already pre-chosen what I wanted to order, but seeing all the delicious options listed on the specials and menu board had me wishing I could try one of everything! For today I chose the crab & mushrooms Benedict and a (secret menu) order of white lava pancakes to share. My daughter ordered the breakfast burrito with Spam. The Benedict was SO good! The crab is real, lump crab meat, YUM!! The eggs were perfectly cooked and the sauce was creamy and nicely seasoned. It came with a side of house potatoes that I also enjoyed. The pancakes' description and photos sounded so good, but they ended up being very disappointing. There's banana mixed into the batter, but the banana flavor didn't come thru. The sauce is a creamy white sauce that was very neutral in flavor. I ended up still using the table syrup to sweeten the dish up. My daughter really enjoyed her burrito! It's something I'd order on a next visit for sure! The table next to us got the ube pancakes that looked AMAZING! This is another item I'd definitely wanna try! Service at the counter for ordering was friendly and patient (since we had questions as first timers) and the gal who brought our food to our table was also pleasant and thoughtful. Looking forward to coming back to try more Hawaiian inspired food!

The food here is BOMB. The ice mocha latte is.... It should be the standard for ice mochas. Their ice mocha latte is what I think of in my head whenever I order ice mocha anywhere, and I can never accept anything less. So chocolatey you forget it's coffee. The strawberry banana French toast are sweet, fruity and don't leave you feeling heavy or bloated which is so nice. Prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly. Seating can be an issue around 11am because they get crowded around that time which is expected when you got bomb ass food. Definitely recommend. read more
A go-to spot for me when I'm craving Hawaiian food/breakfast. It's a fast casual spot, and you have to order before you can claim your seat (which is fair!) I've enjoyed everything I've had from here, and my favorites are their waffles, chicken katsu, and kalua pork. I also really enjoy their Hawaiian latte. Service is always friendly. This place can get very busy on weekends. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and arrangements can be made to accommodate for larger parties. read more
Plenty of customer parking is really nice and by the looks of the crowd that came in Sunday, Aloha stacks sure did need it. The staff are nice and the food comes out quickly and hot. You basically order yourself at the counter then find a table to sit, they do hand you a number to place on the table so they can identify you. The servers who come are really nice and friendly. The food itself was good. My kalua pork omelet was ok, the macadamia nut waffle was ok but the nuts seemed old and rancit. My mom had the corned beef hash, eggs and rice (2 scoops) and she said it was really good. Me sister had the kalua pork chiliquilas and said it was good and had some good heat. Overall the prices were fair, food was good and service was great. Seating may be a little difficult so getting there earlier on a Sunday would be recommended. On I almost forgot, the pancakes were really good. read more
Came here for Sunday breakfast. I would recommend getting here before ten to beat the brunch crowd. It's self seating and the line at the counter is fairly quick. They have an extensive menu so tough decisions will be made. We ordered ube pancakes, captain mac nut, and blueberry n cream waffle for our mains. For sides, we got spam musubi, fried rice, and portuguese sausage. Ube Pancakes- As an ube girly, these are my favorite! The pancakes are soft and fluffy and the ube sauce is rich and creamy. Topped with coconut flakes that add a layer of texture. Captain Mac Nut- This is a nice crunchy french toast! You get a lovely crisp outside and light soft inside with a hint of macadamia flavor. Blueberry N Cream Waffle- The waffle was crispy outside with a soft interior. They give you a generous amount of blueberries and the whipped cream enhances the flavors. Spam Musubi- Such a classic! Meaty and savory spam meets fluffy rice. Enveloped with seaweed wrap. Fried Rice- This was nice and soft with a generous amount of fried garlic and onions. Perfectly seasoned and tasty. Portuguese Sausage- This is one of my favorite sausages. It's a perfect balance of savory with a hint of sweet. Pairs beautifully with fried rice. Great place for breakfast! read more

This has probably been one of my boyfriend's best finds. Shout out to the chefs & cooks for this food. I sat in silence eating the loco moco it was so good. This was my first time trying loco moco and the rating is up there. The gravy was so flavorful, chicken was crispy.Portion size was so good. I also tried a strawberry Matcha latte, which is really good. It's really sweet, which is my preference. Would come back there are so many options of different things to try. I heard this place is really popular for the pancakes, but I was so full. I didn't get any pancakes. Definitely coming back to try some pancakes read more

Aloha Stacks is a family owned and operated chain of Hawaiian diners. This was my first interaction with the brand. There are ten locations in the network. This store has the look and feel of a family cafe. It occupies a corner unit, so there are a lot of windows, making the dining room bright and sunny when weather cooperates. There is outdoor seating, too. I think that the chain's claim to fame is it's breakfast menu. The stores open at 07:30a and close at 02:00p. I also see them mentioned on social media. Although the breakfast plates are photogenic, I'm not really into breakfast food. On this occasion, I ordered the kalua pork and cabbage ($15.00) and a fountain drink ($4.25). With tax ($1.88), my ticket was $21.13 before gratuity. In my experience, many other Hawaiian diners serve the kalua pork with the cabbage on the side. Here, they blend the kalua pork with the shredded cabbage. It's not good or bad--just different. This leads me to this question: this is the least salty kalua pork meal I have eaten. I wonder if they hold back on the salt on purpose; or if mixing the kalua pork with the cabbage toned down the salt in the pork. Nonetheless, the taste of the pork and cabbage was good. The pork was not too dry, not too wet. The flavor was light. If I am in the area again, the positive eating experience is incentive to return. read more
I ordered a spicy chicken and bacon waffle and for $17, I felt underwhelmed :( it was pretty bland and slightly burned as well. The sauce itself was way too overpowering. It's practically drenched in it. This piece would be better with a drizzle on top and an extra side of sauce to add as you continue the food. The waffle is clearly from a mix and again, for a price, just a bit unfortunate and definitely lack luster. As for the service, it was okay! No complaints on my end. Staff was extremely helpful and definitely kept up with cleaning and attending others. The place was decently maintained and seemed clean enough considering how busy things were. read more

Came here in a Saturday afternoon for brunch with my boyfriend, his brother, & his brother's husband. There was no line when we arrived. They had so many options of foods to choose from. I got brekkie tater tots, my boyfriend got the Mac nut pancakes & loco loco poutine fries, my boyfriend's brother got the rib eye loco moco, and his husband got a breakfast burrito. One thing I didn't like was the food came out at different times. First the breakfast burrito came out. It came with a side of fries. The meal like nice and freshly made. Then came out the pancakes. They were nice and warm and very fluffy. Then the loco moco poutine fries the fries look freshly made and it was topped with gravy which had a nice consistency to it and pico de gallo. Then the rib eye loco moco came out. My boyfriend's brother said the ribe eye was tough, and hard to chew/cut. It was overcooked and had the consistency of rubber. Luckily, we were able to return it and got a regular loco moco with a hamburger patty. I was able to taste this and it was very flavorful! I was the last to get my brekkie tater tots. If we didn't ask for them to check on it I probably wouldn't have gotten it. When I got my food, it was a bit cold. This meal has cheese on it and when I got it the cheese was melted but hard, as if it was just sitting out waiting to be served. It was good, but I wish it was warmer/hotter when I got it. I didn't want to return it cos then I'd have to wait again. But it was better when I took it home and warmed it up. The place was very busy and it was hard to finish a seat. But that's how good they must be. We were able to find seats outside, so it wasn't loud. I'd like to give this place another try as I see they have other foods they specialize in. read more
Breakfast in Hawaii? Yeah, it's something like that. I think if you're actually in Hawaii, you probably wouldn't get the same experience. It's more conceptual than realistic. I do dig the concept, and the execution was pretty good. The deep friend oxtails on the special piqued my imagination. It was not exactly how I pictured it, but I am glad that I tried it. It's a busy joint, but the line never got too long because they're efficient. The food came very quickly, surprisingly so. Everyone was friendly here, true to the aloha spirit. read more
2nd timer here! We came early and not crowded yet, very chill! Ordered the loco moco with corned beef rather than the traditional beef patty. It was good, not great. The gravy was a little too salty for my liking but the ube coconut pancakes??? Let me tell you about this pancake! I took one bite and immediately forgot my name, my responsibilities, and at least three passwords. This pancake is purple because it KNOWS it's better than everything else on the plate. It's fluffy in a way that feels illegal. Sweet, but not "toothache sweet"--more like "why am I emotional right now?" sweet. Every bite had me nodding aggressively like, yes... correct... continue. The sauce is sooo good! Like how?!?! How did they do this? 15/10 would betray all other pancakes without hesitation. read more

Came in for breakfast, wasn't too crowded at 8-9 AM, but the place tends to be bumping and busy around 10-11 especially on the weekends. Ordered the cheapest thing on the menu, which was the breakfast burrito. Asked the lady in front and she said that bacon and portugese sausage were the two most popular protein choices, and it comes with beans and salsa verde. The burrito was flavorful, but nothing too notable. The only thing that stood out was the Portuguese sausage which was a fresh take on the taste of a regular breakfast burrito. Comes with potatoes, cheese, egg, and of course the protein. Parking is plentiful, place is a fast casual spot, but the lines can be long and tables aren't as easily accessible during restaurant peak times. read more
Love coming here on the weekends! The line can get long but the wait isn't bad at all. Service is fast and efficient. Even when it's busy I've always been able to find a seat/table. The prices are amazing and the food portions are big. The food is always delicious and consistent. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean. The chicken katsu is my go to! read more
I had passed this place and lot and always saw a huge line out the door so I figured this place must be phenomenal. I was finally able to try it out with my family. The lady taking the order seems bothered to be there. No smile, no welcome, nothing. I ordered the kalua pork breakfast burrito which comes with beans and chips. I also ordered an iced coffee, a kids meal with French toast, egg and sausage and another kids meal with a waffle, egg, and sausage. We found a table and waited for our food to be brought out to our table. I spent $43 with tip. My burrito was very bland. Not an ounce of seasoning. Beans were also bland. And coffee was just sugary milk. I couldn't taste any espresso in it. The kids liked the sausages though. They have to go bags and boxes for you to help yourself. Claw machines don't work so don't waste money on it. Overall, I'm pretty shocked at how hyped this place is. Maybe I just didn't order the right thing? Anyways, don't think I'd return. read more
This is a nice breakfast establishment in Cerritos :) The food is pretty good and the staff are friendly as well. Given the Hawaiian menu, you can definitely expect to see 'Loco Moco'. The food is what you would expect for diner brunch. The Katsu and Waffles departs from that but otherwise a nice place to start the day. Is it amazing food? Not particularly... but it's good :) and the staff is nice! For instance their special was fried rice & shrimp which had --5 jumbo shrimp, fried rice, and a small side egg omelette by itself. Normally, this is a stir fry and not separate pieces on a plate. So it was a little bland tasting and needed hot sauce or ketchup. Stuff like that was a little disappointing, but it's nothing bad. And now you know--- so I might stick with their usual picks -- and skip the "Specials". Seating here can be tricky, with the place seating maybe only two to three dozen people max, but people move through here well enough. I personally would take it to go through because of this. A true gem with a taste of Hawaii. It's an order and then sit down place. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and lots of space to move around. We love the outdoor seating because it was a great sunny day to enjoy the outside. 1. UBE Pancake - 5* - not sweet and very favorable 2. California Omelete with Home Fries - 4* 3. Spicy Chicken Waffle - 4.5* Perfect portions and everything tasted amazing. Will definitely come back when we visit SoCal again. read more
Had this place bookmarked for awhile and finally gave it a try. We got the pork breakfast burrito and Portuguese sausage breakfast plate. The plate was ok but overpriced for what it is in my opinion. The burrito was 2/5 since all the fillings were soggy and mushy. No crunch in the potato. The staff who took our order was nice; the plaza is pretty crowded but wasn't too hard to find a parking spot. Not sure if I want to come back to try other items on the menu. read more

Great brunch place. The food is diverse; combination of Mexican, Hawaiian and American combined. I always have a hard time deciding on what to get. The ube latte is very weak, needs more coffee, it was pretty looking though read more
nothing beats local food early in the morning. i really don't think you can find hawaiian food this good early mornin anywhere else other than this joint. they be serving food that hits the spot every time. every time. i got the breakfast burrito with choice of meat. if you know hawaiian, you know its got to be portuguese sausage. comes with some beans and tortilla chips and was just great tasting all around. would recommend this place to anyone who misses the islands or for anyone who wants to try local soul food! read more
Garden stuffed crepes: so packed with eggs, veggies, and mushrooms! It was simple yet so tasty and filling. The side house salad also was surprisingly great. I really liked the light vinegary dressing it was tossed in and the crunch factor of the crispy noodles on top. Crab and mushroom Benedict had a good amount of crab on it. The potatoes that go with it are well fried and not too oily. The ube coconut pancake was sooo good when it was hot and fresh. Most of the ube flavor comes with the sauce so it was good that the pancakes were drenched in it! The kalua pork omelette is extremely filling and a LOT. It was very good according to my mom and dad but be ready for a food coma. service was good overall, mostly a self serve place. It got super busy after we came (around 11:30am) but the lines moved along well. I'd definitely recommend this place for a great brunch spot. I cannot wait to dine here again. Staff is kind, but the food is so dang on good! I ordered the crab omelette. My daughter ordered either blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes. My girlfriend ordered macadamia nut pancakes. We all enjoyed our food so much. I had nothing left over. I also enjoyed a one latte with oat milk. Super yummy. Steer clear of the table in the back near the kitchen door. Lots of staff traffic and it's easy to get hit if not careful. read more

what a cute place serving local hawai'i breakfast/brunch! i found this place on yelp looking for brunch and their pancakes looked so yummy. this area is near anaheim so if i'm ever in the area again i would love to try their other dishes and drinks! we got the loco moco and banana macadamia nut pancakes. i also got to try a bit of their ube pancakes which were INSANELY good. the banana macnut is such a nostalgic pancake to me (if you grew up in hawai'i and have been to koa pancake house, u know) it was nice and fluffy but i wish it was served a bit hotter. loco moco had a nice flavor but the patty was a little dry- the gravy and over easy egg compromised for it. nonetheless what a lovely place! workers were so sweet and the customers around us seem like regulars who love this place for a reason! read more

***BEWARE OF TO-GO ORDERS*** *NOT THE SAME AS DINE IN BUT SAME PRICE* This has been a go-to spot for island style breakfast over the past few years. The oxtail loco moco is my favorite. Or at least it used to be. I'd come in/pick up food from here about every other month. It's a breakfast spot that usually doesn't disappoint in portion size or flavor. Although it's decently pricey (you can expect to spend about $60-$70 on breakfast for two people including drinks and tip), I don't mind because the food is typically good. However, today was by far the most DISAPPOINTING experience. I've ordered the oxtail loco moco plenty of times both in person and to-go. Today was no different, but when I got home and opened up the box I was shocked at how little oxtail there was. Unfortunately, for the two tiny pieces of oxtail pictured on the top - there was almost no meat and was two pieces of bone! For about $25, I'd expect more from this restaurant. Maybe they tell their employees to cheap out on to-go orders now? It wasn't how it used to be in the past, and I've included what one of the old dine-in portions used to look like. I haven't dined in for a couple of months now so I can't say if that's still what the dine in portion is, but I'd caution anyone ordering this particular dish to-go because you might be in for a rip off!!! read more

We arrived around 8. Not too crowded but when we were half way through our breakfast, it was picking up. You order and then you sit anywhere that's open and they bring the food to your table. We had the Ube coconut pancake, the maca nut banana pancake, a spam masubi, and chilaquiles. Didn't get a picture of the Masubi or chilaquiles beca we were starving! Never had anything Ube before so I was scared it would be too sweet. It wasn't! It was so delicious! It's a nice little spot. read more
Came here with my cousin to try their unique menu. You have to order your food before sitting down which I wasn't used to but made sense. This place can get packed as they're only open for breakfast/brunch and close at 3pm. I had the loco moco over their version of fried rice. It wasn't what I was expecting for a fried rice as it didn't have any meat or veggies in it. Seemed like they just added soy sauce and upcharged for it. They also didn't drizzle the gravy over it and instead lined the plate with the food on top of it. The burger patty was ok but could have been better. I had mine with scrambled eggs. It was basic but I was hungry so it did it for me at the time. I had to order extra gravy since the patty was kinda dry. The ube pancakes was bomb! It wasn't too sweet and the flavor was perfect. My cousin had the Kalua pork benedict and it was really good! The potatoes were so good and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I'd come back just for those alone! Worth a try and definitely want to come back to try other food options. read more

I came here a few days ago with some friends. They opted to try this place as they don't have this where they're from. We went around 10, and there was no line. I've been here on the weekends and it's pretty packed. There was a line out the door. We ordered pretty fast. And the food came out about 15 minutes later. I got the eggs Benedict which was pretty good. My friend's got the breakfast tots which were crunchy and delicious. My other friend got the spicy chicken waffles. The chicken wasn't that spicy. All in all it was very delicious! read more

Got here after the gym with my son our first time here we were greeted and explained how to order got our order in and waited. The food was so goood I loved it. My son loved his crab omelet, it wasn't as busy as I thought it was gonna be but dang did it mid meal people poured into this resturant. All in all would. I go again? Yes just look over the menu a little longer they have a wide range of options. I'm not a fan of the layout but that's just my anxiety and antisocial asss talking. It's by target so there's a lot more parking you just gotta walk a little. read more
Tried this place for the 1st time and it was super yummy! It was a quick service sit down restaurant which I love. You order and pay and they bring it out to your table. Super family friendly, and appears to be culturally loved by all. The food I ordered was delicious! As I watched all the tables get their food delivered I saw how yummy it all looked! I ordered the strawberry and banana Nutella crepes and man were they delicious!!!! They give you such a large portion too! I also ordered a side of potatoes and they were seasoned perfectly! We went here for brunch on super bowl. Sunday wasn't very busy. Was able to order and get a table. The food was delicious. We ordered a crab omelette, chocolate chip pancakes, and spam fried rice. Everything came out great. read more
Since not having been to this establishment I'm pleased to know the quality of the food remains high. Service is always good even when it's packed on the weekends. The decor seems to be the same as I remember but still glad it's held its cleanliness. Always a great choice when needing a hefty breakfast lol read more
