I love Boba tea and have tried many Taiwanese places in major cities and can tell good from great Boba. This one has Boba tea and being a Hawaiian bbq place, my expectation was not high. I thought if it is just ok, then that's already quite good for being a Hawaiian restaurant in Visalia. So I ordered the basic Boba milk tea and wow I was pleasantly surprised. The boba was soft, perfectly textured and honey flavored. Definitely among the best - if not actually the best anywhere! Nice place with friendly service. We ordered the loco moco daily special, beef ribs ramen, short rib dinner special and of course spam musubi. Food tasted pretty good, my friend especially liked the ramen. My gravy was a little salty and had I been on the beach eating this I would have liked it even more. Our first time trying Aloha! We ordered it off of Grubhub so can't say anything about the in-restaurant experience, just the food itself. We got the chicken teriyaki bowl, chicken bbq and chicken katsu. The sauce on the teriyaki is really good! Only thing it could improve is the broccoli. It was super hard and didn't seem like it was cooked long enough. Chicken katsu and BBQ were equally good! Portions are big. After a trip to Hawaii for spring break and falling in love with the food there we were excited to find this place and give it a try. Decor was very tropical, Hawaiian feeling and everyone says Aloha and Mahalo. We ordered the chicken katus, which was good although we didn't get any sauce with it. Asked for teriyaki sauce and didn't care for it as it was too sweet. My husband found from duck sauce which turned out to be amazing. We also got the Spam musubi which was a huge highlight in Hawaii but this one was not to our liking. We couldnt even pick it up to eat it without it falling apart. The one we had in Hawaii was also deep fried and out of this world. My husband ordered the sushi burrito which was delicious!! The only thing that was a little frustrating was the amount of time it took to get our orders out. We waited about 20-25 mins for our food. With that said, we will probably be back to try the shaved ice and smoothies and it's nice to have a little reminder of Hawaii at home. read more

Giving this place a 2 (barely) because of the taro milk tea. Besides that...not worth the hype. We ordered the salmon and fried shrimp dishes and they looked/tasted like airplane food/microwaveables. Coconut Aloha!! Soooooo good!! The food is good, the servers are nice though some of them still need some training in my opinion. I have a son who is super picky and i asked if the server can separate the sides that came with the meal. Our order came and it was all together in one to-go plate. The next time we came back, we hot the same girl again who took our orders. I tried to be as specific as i can this time. I had to explain it several times and my uncle had to jump in and explain it too before she said ohhhhh you want it in separate container?? Yes! Thats it! They always have great food and excellent customer service! Today was the first time I've ordered from them since the start of the pandemic, and when I brought my order home, I noticed that there was an extra package inside my bag. I opened it and realized they had given us a face mask! It was such a surprise. I thought that was such an awesome idea for a business to do for their customers, especially since it might be hard for some people to get ahold of face masks. Decided to try Aloha Express on a whim. It wasn't bad but Im not certain that I'll go back. The bbq meats were extremely sweet and it made it kind of off putting. I did enjoy the mac salad and rice and worked to mix the rice in with the meat to tone down the sweetness. This did help somewhat. All customers are greeted and thanked upon entering and leaving. The associates at the counter notice the smallest things on the floor and are quick to get it swept up. We entrusted you to do the right thing and provide us with the missing meal that we already PAID for and you FAILED. You treated our group as if we were vagrants trying to scam a quick buck from you when it was you and your piss poor managing who couldn't see that we are medical professionals who just wanted the meal that we PAID for. Your absolute lack of customer service turned an easily rectified issue into an unnecessary loss of future business. We didn't want anything extra, just the meal that we PAID for. If you would have just given us the meal we already PAID for, you most likely would have had repeat business and good word of mouth as we would have acknowledged that as a business you did the right thing. The meal was about $13. You gambled on $13 that you STOLE from us. Because of this, myself, my coworkers that you have disrespected, my department, and anyone else that will hear us will know not to ever do business with your poorly managed establishment ever again. Ok I can't give a 3 1/2 stars. So I rounded up only because the food taste was real good. My first visit & the workers there are GREAT! Tues 8/27 5:30 ish .. the ordering experience was relaxed and even though I can tell the girl was new she did her best to answer any And all questions. So we ordered 4 meals a pineapple smoothie and shaved ice for after the meal (thank you restaurant.com for the $25 off $50!). BUT after the order there is really limited seating. The place wasn't packed but with way the tables were arranged & the MAIN FACT they didn't have extra chairs to place around the table. So we squeezed around the small table.. food was ordered and it was served in Foam take out containers for dine in.. I'm not a tree hugger but not healthy for the environment.. lots of trash (didn't affect my rating but just a personal preference). Food looked great except for the fact that there was a very noticeable hair (beard or side burn) in my sons island fish plate sitting right on top the bright white rice. The worker took it back (embarrassed but didn't apologize) she brought out a new plate minus the hair. Suprising enough no manager or supervisor came out to maybe offer a free shaved ice? Or anything?! Any how, good food, the staff tries, so I couldn't give them a three or anything less.. hope they can pull it all together and figure out better seating arrangements maybe just extra chairs on stand by??? read more
