    Poke bowl
    Kim G.

First time here. We discovered poke bowls in SoCal, specifically a franchise called Poke Chop and it has spoiled us. Their fish is fresh - Aloh-o's fish does not appear to be. Not only does the ahi tuna's and salmon's texture taste like it had been previously frozen, they both emit a very fishy smell. All the sides were good as was the brown rice - but you get a poke bowl for the fish. In addition, the tables were dirty, probably because they are understaffed. Shame, we would frequent this place if the fish were fresh.

My boyfriend and I stopped off here to take a break and randomly saw this Boba shop that was open on Christmas! We figure that would be a nice dessert for after dinner so we got a couple of drinks my passion, fruit, green tea Boba was pretty sweet, but I always add water to mine anyways. My boyfriend got a jasmine green tea, and liked it as well. Everything was really clean except a lot of the orders were takeout, so I think some of the servers got the drinks mixed up. Two people that came in after my boyfriend and me were served before us, but I also noticed they ordered black tea drinks and we ordered green tea drinks, so maybe the green tea had to steep longer or something. Nevertheless, everything was very clean and organized within the inside of the restaurant.

The best poke I've had in the Bay Area, it's AMAZING and they clearly label what's gluten free (and have gluten free soy sauce!) base price for whatever toppings you want and it's so delicious!

The staff were very friendly and professional. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted warmly and served quickly . The food here is delicious! Each dish is carefully prepared, rich in texture, unique in taste, and very fresh in ingredients. Reasonable price, high cost performance. Compared to other similar restaurants, the prices here are very reasonable and excellent value for money. Overall, the dining experience was very pleasant.

Worst sushi I've ever had. Dragon roll, poorly made, unfresh, cheaply priced. Understaffed. Best thing about the meal was the canned Sprite.

I ordered the sushi party platter for my birthday. It was fresh, delicious and plenty to eat. (We added the tofu block for the vegans.) I will get this again next time we are feeding a crowd. I have also tried and loved the poke bowls and the bubble tea. The tea can be ordered with less sugar and the phone app is easy to use. Good quality, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

My Milk Tea Boba Drink (I drank the actual drink, I got 2x boba, it's hard to see)

This is one of the best places to get boba in Marin. Luckily the line is short now! First of all, the food is absolutely outstanding, especially the boba. They have so many different flavors of boba that it's just too good! I always get the Milk Tea with Regular Boba 2x! Also I get the cucumber and avocado rolls, which are just amazing! This is a perfect place to have boba in Marin, definitely coming back here again!

This review is on drinks only. Ordered a house milk tea and peach green tea both with tapioca (boba) the milk tea is watered down, might be made from powder but I can't be sure. It doesn't tastes as authentic as the share tea in San Rafael. Peach green tea on the other hand has too much of tea and it tastes a bit bitter . Boba is either undercooked or it was from yesterday. Some might find it chewy but I didn't like it. Price is on the high side, two drinks costs almost 12 dollars and I definitely didn't get what I paid for. They also sell some Asian snacks and bottle drinks and price is on the high side. But can't blame them since it's Marin. from my friends, they said the poki bowls are not the best but not bad. I will find a time to try their poki bowls and update the review. The staff are definitely friendly and helpful.

We had dogs with us so we were waiting to be sat outside, the server made eye contact from inside, but only came to greet us after we waited a few minutes and finally called out to her from the doorway. After being seated and given menus, we waited another 10 min with no service, and I decided to walk in and wash my hands. On my way out of the restroom, the server was finishing chatting with the only customer inside of the restaurant. I asked if we could have some water brought to the table, and she nodded. 5 min or so after I asked her for the water, the customer who was inside was walking out, and we chatted for a bit. Come to find out the sushi chefs and kitchen staff were not available due to the traffic on the freeway. I was in the same traffic, and I knew it was really bad. That was not the issue. The server never came out to our table. She never told us what was going on. We were left hanging for almost 20 min with zero contact, other than dropping the menus, and requesting waters that we never recieved. At an empty restaurant. There was no notice posted out front, there was nothing said from the server. If I was stopping in during a lunch break, I would not have been able to dine elsewhere due to the time I wasted sitting at this place waiting for service. All it took was for the server to let us know the situation and I would have tried to come back some other time. There were 20 full minutes - plenty of opportunity - to make best of a bad situation, and none were taken. Absolutely unacceptable.

The soft shell crab was delicious and the ocean was very good. The outside patio will be our next destination. Everyone was very nice and friendly. We're looking forward to trying a meal in the patio soon.

Despite the Friday night chaos (seriously, where did all these hungry people come from?), we scored a table faster than you can say 'table for four!' We went full family-style and ordered enough food to feed a small army: Crispy Angel Wings - sweet, spicy, finger-lickin' good, and frankly, slightly addictive. If there's a rehab for wings, sign me up. BBQ Pork Garlic Noodles - so packed with garlic you might ward off vampires for a week. (Worth it!) Braised Beef Short Ribs - the coconut tomato curry was so good it could probably solve world peace. Or at least a hangry meltdown. Burmatown Bao - the kids inhaled these little taco-bun hybrids before we could even steal a bite. Blink and you'll miss them! Our waitress was a total rockstar--friendly, fast, and somehow able to remember our complicated order without writing it down. Superpowers? Maybe. No regrets, no complaints. Just happy bellies, a lingering craving for more wings, and a unanimous family decision: we'd come back in a heartbeat... if we're ever in Corte Madera again!
