Cute corner poke store in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Service was fast and the interior is small but it was nice and clean. They have an area that has Asian snacks and bottled drinks that you can purchase. You fill out a form with the toppings and sauces that you want for your poke bowl and take the form to the front where they ring up your order. They also have a self serve kiosk. My miso soup came out piping hot and the poke bowl was a decent size. Next time I will try a teriyaki bowl. Definitely give them a try if you're looking for something quick and delicious! read more

I have been into Aloh-o a few times now. I am a big fan of poke bowls and have been to several up and down the 101. What I love about this place is its convenience on my commute. I wouldn't necessarily say their poke bowls are amazing, but they are pretty solid. They also have other menu items that sound pretty decent. The cafe is small, but it's a cute space. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I went in with my two kids, ordered sushi and a boba tea, and somehow got charged twice. They told me the first payment didn't go through, but when I showed them the duplicate charges on my online banking, they still insisted my card hadn't been processed. Despite clear proof, they refused to make the order, issue a refund, or offer any real help. The girl at the counter was extremely rude and dismissive--her only suggestion was that I "wait until the bank calls back." When I asked how long that would take, she just shrugged. I ended up leaving with no food and two charges on my card that my bank confirmed had been processed - Completely unacceptable experience--be careful. read more

It's a small place that serves poki bowls, sushi rolls, boba drinks, a few teriyaki items(like chicken, beef, salmon). Their poki bowls are good and they put a lot of sides in the bowls. Their service can be a little better, I ordered something on DoorDash and my order was late because they mixed up my order ticket with the in store orders which made my order delivered late. When you order a poki bowl you fill out a paper menu on what you want in your poki bowl. It's a pretty good system. They get busy during lunch and when kids get off from school, it's a small place, a few seats to eat inside, it's a good place to do takeout and sit outside to enjoy the ambiance. First time here. We discovered poke bowls in SoCal, specifically a franchise called Poke Chop and it has spoiled us. Their fish is fresh - Aloh-o's fish does not appear to be. Not only does the ahi tuna's and salmon's texture taste like it had been previously frozen, they both emit a very fishy smell. All the sides were good as was the brown rice - but you get a poke bowl for the fish. In addition, the tables were dirty, probably because they are understaffed. My boyfriend and I stopped off here to take a break and randomly saw this Boba shop that was open on Christmas! We figure that would be a nice dessert for after dinner so we got a couple of drinks my passion, fruit, green tea Boba was pretty sweet, but I always add water to mine anyways. My boyfriend got a jasmine green tea, and liked it as well. Everything was really clean except a lot of the orders were takeout, so I think some of the servers got the drinks mixed up. Two people that came in after my boyfriend and me were served before us, but I also noticed they ordered black tea drinks and we ordered green tea drinks, so maybe the green tea had to steep longer or something. It's now my go-to fix for poke bowl - very easy and quick to self-order with the form (either paper form, or there's a big touch screen "kiosk" on the wall). This review is for the poke bowls. Now that I'm becoming a regular and soon the staff will recognize me and know the frequency of my "guilty" pleasure... I thought I'd give some praise. I live in Sausalito and this is the nearest poke I've found. The price is very reasonable for the area... Around $15 a bowl + tax... BUT one thing they do differently from other poke places: You get 2 scoops of fish, but the catch is (no pun intended), if you want that crab meat (I think it's krab actually) besides the 2 scoops... that's actually extra. They count is as 1 of the 2 fish otherwise. Not too upset about it bc their bowls are a good size, could be a dinner portion, I'd say. With that said, all the ingredients are delicious and super fresh, they have fun toppings like pineapple and mango. Lots of options for the base of the bowl. Will be back. Again and again. read more

I ordered the salmon teriyaki bowl and that was horrendous, it was a thin piece of salmon that had the chewing quality of jerky. no vegetables or anything. Just a huge bowl of rice with a tiny, dried piece of salmon. I was starving so I put that food aside and ordered a poke bowl. They added a bunch of ingredients I didn't select and also missed out on a bunch of ingredients. I was with 4 other friends and every single one of their bowls was wrong as well. This review is on drinks only. Ordered a house milk tea and peach green tea both with tapioca (boba) the milk tea is watered down, might be made from powder but I can't be sure. It doesn't tastes as authentic as the share tea in San Rafael. Peach green tea on the other hand has too much of tea and it tastes a bit bitter . Boba is either undercooked or it was from yesterday. Some might find it chewy but I didn't like it. Price is on the high side, two drinks costs almost 12 dollars and I definitely didn't get what I paid for. They also sell some Asian snacks and bottle drinks and price is on the high side. But can't blame them since it's Marin. from my friends, they said the poki bowls are not the best but not bad. Rejoice, rejoice, oh ye who love bubble tea! For a long time there hasn't been a consistent spot in Marin to satisfy your cravings. I've been bashing Marin's lack of good tea options for a while now because I am super picky about the consistency of my boba pearls, and now I (happily) have to zip it. Last night we picked up a lychee tea w/ 50% sweetness, less ice and taro tea with 75% sweetness, regular ice, both with regular pearls. The pearls were the perfect chewiness, the tea was delicious. I got big fresh lychee in the lychee tea, and the taro flavor was amazing. They have tons of options for jellies and popping boba as well as like 20 different flavors so I will have to try more later. Run, don't walk, to try this spot out. By the way, another reviewer said they wished there was an option to order online. There is indeed such an option, you can order ahead of time online and then pick it up. When we got there, a little ahead of our pick-up time, the order was waiting already. read more

Having passed by many times, I had high hopes. The person behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. The first thing i noticed was that there was no poke bar where u pick your items as someone makes your bowl. Here, you fill out a slip with all of your options. Their toppings selection was good and gave you all the toppings if u wanted, including avocado. The y have their sauces listed on a piece of paper taped to the counter, and you can not read the description. After you fill out the slip, you turn it in, and they make it in the kitchen. It came out fast 5-7 minutes. I was very excited to open it and dig in. It looked great, and the bowl was packed. Lots of delicious looking toppings! I dug in, and it tasted great. However, as I continued, it became quite noticeable. There was very little fish. It came with 2 scoops, but you can not see how big the scoops are. It seemed to be a lot less than all the other poke places I've been to. This place also has a limited sushi menu of which I hoped to try next time. read more

I come here once a week and my orders have always been correct and well prepared. I also always run into the same cashier every time, and she is so nice and accommodating. She does a great job clarifying orders, providing the right utensils, and giving clear instructions on the screen for payment. I also notice that she checks every order to make sure everything is right before she calls the number. Came in here on Sunday and encountered owner yelling at the girl working counter, while I waited on my order. A business owner should never do that in front of a customer. So unprofessional. The owner stormed off after yelling giving everyone stink eye as he exited his own establishment. No employee should have to put up with that kind of crap, and it's an unpleasant experience that drives customers away. Also having been treated like this by employers in the past, it's not behavior that I can condone. A shame this dude has a franchise and has no class. Such a terrible experience, ordered 2 poke bowls, both with salmon and they didn't put salmon in the second bowl! Ingredients were mediocre quality (hello canned pineapple, mixed greens aren't mixed greens- it's romaine lettuce) and they over indexed on the base ingredients 3/4 of the ingredients were rice or salad, very little on anything else. To top it off they don't have a phone number so I can't even call to get a refund. What a waste. We needed a good poke place on this side of town, but sadly, this isn't it. read more

Great concept and location. Really want it to succeed. People serving are nice. But the wait was so long. I stood there waiting just to put my order and I was first in line. It took 5 mins to wait to order order even though there was no one in front of me. Then it was confusing to know which line and how to use the form. The pens didn't seem particularly clean or sanitized to write on the poke bowl form and wish I could have done this online or through my phone. By the time the food was ready fir pick up, my son had already ordered eaten his food next door at High Tech Burrito which was much faster. The food itself was super sweet. I got the bowl with the meatless option. I don't recommend the meatless meat and tomago. They both tasted not super high quality. Strike two- I was waiting for my order and I kept looking at my phone wondering why it was taking so long.. it wasn't busy and there was one person waiting for an order - she then proceeds to ask me " miss are you waiting for something" Really? Didn't remember to make my drink that takes like 10 seconds to make? Getting so sick of these rude people who work in customer service type jobs. I'm not asking for conversation just don't be fucking rude. For anyone who is interested in how the milk tea tasted.. mediocre but I kind of knew that going in- it's very obviously the powdered shit kind.
