    Stylish as always.

Service always begins at the door with "welcome" in Japanese. Smiling faces and cheerful employees moving to assist their Guests. I elected to sit at the Sushi bar as I was alone. I saw the delicious fresh presentation of the lunch special at the entryway and knew it was for me. So I ordered one for now and take out for my wife for later. My order came to me within 10 minutes. Before I began I took in visually how fresh and colorful it all looked, and appreciated the eye appeal. I was ready for it all. I had the Teriyaki chicken, and tempura mix. It came with Japanese salad, and white miso soup. Also it came with pickled vegetables, a large scoop of rice, and dipping sauces. The food was good and it's what I expected, but I really had a nice surprise with their tempura. It was light crispy and not overladen with residual oil. The flavor of the prawns came through the flavor of the other vegetables came through, but my surprise was the perfect cooking of the broccoli tips in tempura batter.. I know from home cooking broccoli can be tricky because it does have a specific smell to it and sometimes it can be better but this was perfect and the texture was so delicious. I really enjoyed it. I look around the place just before I left one last time for the day and it has a nice appearance of comfortable energy to the room. It's not too dark not too bright it's definitely comfortable and everyone is well taken care of everywhere I looked. It looked very clean And slightly handicapped I was very happy that everything was accessible to me. I will come back again. My thank you to the young lady that greeted me coming in and into the chefs behind the counter, and my waiter who is very attentive.

Found this place through friends years ago and it was good to go back. The staff are friendly and the food is good at reasonable prices. I highly recommend the grilled yellow tail collar. It's hamachi Yaka. This was so good with buttery meat just delicious. We are still talking about it days later. The tempura was standard. I like the variety of vegetables like broccoli, bell peppers, green beans and squashes. Good shrimp too. The hella roll was very good with asparagus. Overall it's a good Japanese place with sushi. In recent years the ownership has changed but the people working there are the same.

Roboto is good. It's much nicer inside than you would expect. Their fish is fresh and it's overall a pretty good deal. I haven't gotten food from here in a while but we were present pleasantly surprised this evening. It was all tasty. We need to go back more often.

Very disappointing all around. The deluxe miso was thin and flavorless. Softshell crab was overcooked to the point of charring.

My favorite thing about their sushi is that they don't overload it with rice. You actually get to taste the quality of the fish, which makes such a difference. Everything feels fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. Their ramen is another favorite of mine. The broth is rich and flavorful without being overly sweet like some ramen spots can be. It's comforting and delicious every time. The service is always fast and friendly, and on a beautiful day, I highly recommend sitting on the patio. It's such a relaxing spot to enjoy a meal. If you're looking for great sushi and ramen without all the hype, Oni Kuma is definitely worth checking out. I'll definitely be back!

Was very excited to try this place…read more Arrived at around 11:50. We had dogs with us so we were waiting to be sat outside, the server made eye contact from inside, but only came to greet us after we waited a few minutes and finally called out to her from the doorway. After being seated and given menus, we waited another 10 min with no service, and I decided to walk in and wash my hands. On my way out of the restroom, the server was finishing chatting with the only customer inside of the restaurant. I asked if we could have some water brought to the table, and she nodded. 5 min or so after I asked her for the water, the customer who was inside was walking out, and we chatted for a bit. Come to find out the sushi chefs and kitchen staff were not available due to the traffic on the freeway. I was in the same traffic, and I knew it was really bad. That was not the issue. The server never came out to our table. She never told us what was going on. We were left hanging for almost 20 min with zero contact, other than dropping the menus, and requesting waters that we never recieved. At an empty restaurant. There was no notice posted out front, there was nothing said from the server. If I was stopping in during a lunch break, I would not have been able to dine elsewhere due to the time I wasted sitting at this place waiting for service. All it took was for the server to let us know the situation and I would have tried to come back some other time. There were 20 full minutes - plenty of opportunity - to make best of a bad situation, and none were taken. Absolutely unacceptable.

The restaurant doesn't allow modifications, which was one reason we waited until now to try, since both of us have food allergies. We selected the miso soup (my husband said it was difficult and he liked it, but has had better), the seaweed salad (I loved it-clean and not dripping with dressing), four types of sashimi (all very flavorful and fresh), and two rolls (ocean, and soft shell crab). The soft shell crab was delicious and the ocean was very good. The outside patio will be our next destination. Everyone was very nice and friendly. We're looking forward to trying a meal in the patio soon.

Service by main waiter was great as always. Getting our food was very slow and left some with ordered items and others of us waiting 20+ min (I expect timing differences in sushi restaurants but not to this extent) Sushi (tuna only) and also the Roll with tuna on top did not look presentable, as fish was probably older than it should have been, and/or not handled properly, or a poor section of fish, and should have been used for a different purpose (or discarded), rather than give us something that does not look or taste great. Another roll (Akira) as well was not at the same level as it had been on other visits. We should have complained, but waited so long that we just moved forward with items that were still good. Food should look beautiful or intentional relative what it represents, which normally it does at this restaurant. Experience last night was a 2 star given a couple of the items were still good (salad, salmon, others). Adding 4 stars to this review given the normal 4 to 5 stars based on prior exceptional visits. Hope last night was a one-off and doesn't represent something else going in the restaurant. I will be back and hope this comes back up to higher level.

The flavors were authentic and flavorful without being overly Americanized. The pork curry was absolutely delicious and is definitely a must-order. I also got the tea leaf salad and immediately wished I had ordered the large because you can never have enough tea leaf salad. The palata was a great starter -- flaky, warm, and exactly what you'd want. The miso black cod was another standout. The broth it was simmered in was incredibly flavorful, and the fish was perfectly cooked. The garlic noodles were also done really well with the right noodles and great flavor -- honestly better than some places known specifically for garlic noodles. And of course, the coconut rice is always worth ordering. We skipped dessert since nothing really stood out, but I would love to see them add more traditional Burmese desserts like faluda in the future. Parking wasn't too difficult, especially if you circle around the back neighborhood area. The wait was reasonable, the outdoor patio seating was nice, and the service was attentive throughout the meal. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when craving Burmese food.
