Very clean, food looks just like it was advertised. The birria is the best in Lufkin by far, and the flautas were great

We walked in during a busy breakfast rush, but there were still plenty of open tables. Once we reached the front of the line, the young lady behind the counter greeted us right away, took our order, and handed us our cups. The drink station was clean and stocked with a good selection. We grabbed a table--both the tables and floors were clean--and within about 10 minutes our food arrived. I ordered the French Toast Combo, which came with four slices of French toast, two eggs, sausage, and seasoned potatoes. The meal came out on two plates, and everything was spot on. The French toast had a perfect light crunch on the outside while staying pillowy soft inside. The scrambled eggs and sausage were solid, and the seasoned potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft inside. My wife ordered the Breakfast BLT--bacon, lettuce, tomato, fried egg, and Duke's mayo. She added a little hot sauce and absolutely loved it. Not a crumb left! She liked it so much that we also picked up a tub of their chicken salad to take home, and it was delicious later that day--no complaints at all. We'll definitely be back to Roost to try more of their menu!

Food is made fresh and is well seasoned. They have great prices and both indoor tables, 1/2 booths, bar seating, outdoor seating, and they also do to orders. The atmosphere is casual with light music playing in the background. When you walk in you order at the roster and then choose your seat and they will bring your food to your table. Customer service was great as well!

I tried it out today for lunch judging hamburgers around Lufkin. I order plain burgers with everything on it except mayonnaise. Only one patty of beef, hands-down mom's is the best in Lufton. I would rate second raise and third Whataburger Whataburger only lose us over Reyes because of the size of the overall burger it's as good as Reyes moms is huge packed full of extra good ingredients besides the beef patty and the fries are homemade. I'll be back here for breakfast and other things. This is a great place.

The food here is exactly what you want it to be--hot, fresh, flavorful, and served in portions that definitely won't leave you hungry. The standout for me? The liquid butter. If you know, you know. You can pour that golden magic over the toast, the pancakes, the biscuits--basically anything that'll hold it--and it takes everything to the next level. It's the kind of simple, old-school touch that makes a meal unforgettable. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, grabbing a plate lunch, or just craving some true diner comfort, Mom's never misses. Great people, great food, and great prices. Absolutely a Lufkin gem--and we'll keep coming back!

But it just doesn't taste as good as it looks. Kind of bland. My favorite is red velvet cupcakes and these just don't do it for me. I have also tried the key lime pie. It was good other than the fact that they put too much lime zest in it. The people there are also very nice and they do have great service. The one thing that counts the most is what I'm paying for and that is the food. It's just not something I crave.

I don't often post about places when I'm out of town but I had to make an exception here. This place is incredible. Low key flex, I have had pastries in soooo many different places. This place goes toe to toe with all of them. SoCal, NorCal, PNW, Italy, whatever. All places I've had baked goods and all of those places this spot is competing with. You probably can't go wrong with what you pick but the scone options, cinnamon rolls, cake balls, bon Bons, edible cookie dough, cookies, truffles, cakes, and idk is there something I'm missing? It all looked incredible. I tried a cake ball, a bon bon, a truffle, and a cookie. All strictly elite. Farmhouse bakery I love you and I hate you. I love you because yum yum so good. I hate you because it will be forever until I can come back. Someone else go see her and tell her I love her please. (4.9 Stars)
