While we were checking out the ice cream options, we were greeted and asked what we'd like. We both went with one scoop: my wife chose the Michigan Pothole, which was super chocolatey and loaded with tasty chocolate bits, and I got the butter pecan in a waffle cone--and wow, that was a huge scoop! Both ice creams were creamy, rich, and absolutely delicious. We also picked up a Sky Bar, which is such a cool candy bar with four different fillings in one! If you have to turn left, you have no choice but to use the suicide lane and hope to the good Lord above oncoming traffic doesn't ride that lane to turn at the light while you pull out into it. However, there were no signs or menu indications of the promotion. After a couple of minutes waiting in an empty shop, the manager appeared and was unhelpful. She claimed she'd never heard of No Weigh Wednesday and said there were no specials. My daughter got a cup of yogurt and when she went to add toppings, the manager wouldn't let her and insisted on doing it for her. Not only did she not add enough of the toppings my daughter wanted, but she kept suggesting things my daughter didn't want. It didn't help that the regular prices were outrageous, $12.05 for a single cup of yogurt is absurd when a gallon of ice cream at a grocery store is far less. If Orange Leaf wants to keep customers, they need to train their staff better and honor their advertised deals.
