I tried it out today for lunch judging hamburgers around Lufkin. I order plain burgers with everything on it except mayonnaise. Only one patty of beef, hands-down mom's is the best in Lufton. I would rate second raise and third Whataburger Whataburger only lose us over Reyes because of the size of the overall burger it's as good as Reyes moms is huge packed full of extra good ingredients besides the beef patty and the fries are homemade. I'll be back here for breakfast and other things. This is a great place.

Mom's Diner is one of those classic spots that reminds you why comfort food is called comfort food…read more From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with friendly service, a warm atmosphere, and that nostalgic diner charm that makes you feel right at home. The food here is exactly what you want it to be--hot, fresh, flavorful, and served in portions that definitely won't leave you hungry. The standout for me? The liquid butter. If you know, you know. You can pour that golden magic over the toast, the pancakes, the biscuits--basically anything that'll hold it--and it takes everything to the next level. It's the kind of simple, old-school touch that makes a meal unforgettable. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, grabbing a plate lunch, or just craving some true diner comfort, Mom's never misses. Great people, great food, and great prices. Absolutely a Lufkin gem--and we'll keep coming back!

Hand formed patties that are comparable to a triple or quadruple sized patty from a fast food joint. Everything I've eaten here is great. The quesadilla burger and kontondo burger are our family favorite. The onion rings are hand dipped and you "only" get 4-7 giant rings, but they're totally worth it. I've also had the fried chicken sandwich, other burger styles, and the Philly, none disappointed. My only complaint is they are open til like 8 on week days but close early like 5 pm Saturday. Not really a complaint, just a personal inconvenience when you want a damn good burger After 5 on Saturday.

This is not merely a place that can claim the region's best hamburger; it is a kitchen operating at a remarkable level across the board. The server was not friendly (i.e. no greeting or "how can I help you?" Only a blank stare). After talking our order, made both blizzards for us. When finished, he handed them to us without a comment and not inverting them as we typically would expect from Dairy Queen. This may appear trivial but it has been the trademark Blizzard presentation at Dairy Queen for years. It was nice to see the manager on duty, hopefully she can observe first-hand that employee customer serve training is needed. We like Dairy Queen and are hoping this franchise continues to be open and thrives unlike nearby the Diboll that closed recently. The Lufkin location certainly has had a rocky past year but hopefully management will intercede to ensure continued improvements are made. For instance, half the dining room has been blocked off for months and the old tile floor has been removed. Most of the customers seem to be using the drive-thru and they are very likely oblivious to the state of the interior. Overall, the blizzards were acceptable and I took a star off because of the poor customer service and the condition of the restaurant.
