One star. I called ahead and was told acrylic removal would be $15. When I went to pay, the total was $17. I assumed maybe there was a card fee, even though I used Apple Pay, but then I heard the girl at the front say she added a $2 tip herself. I never authorized a tip. I did not argue because I was ready to leave, but adding money to someone's total without permission is shady and completely unacceptable. The sanitation was also a major concern. The nail clippers were not opened from a new package, and the drill bit did not appear to be fresh or newly sanitized before being used on me. The floor was dirty, there was dark buildup between the tiles that looked like possible mold or heavy grime, and the same old dirty mop was being used to clean it. The entire place felt unsanitary and poorly maintained. I would not recommend this salon. You are better off finding a private nail tech who takes cleanliness, quality, and honest business practices seriously. read more

I would recommend this place for everyone who is looking for quick stop o and get their toes done. I normally don't leave bad reviews because I understand situations happen. However this review is aimed at people who wanted to try somewhere new. I have my set pedicure and manicure places in town. I go to them religiously. But yesterday I wanted to try somewhere closer to my house due to time so I asked around and got this was a decent place. Walking in this place is huge and very well staffed. I asked for a gel manicure and a pedicure with normal polish. And I completely understand their job is to upsell but I'm very picky about gel on my toes since I go every two weeks to get them. Normal polish is A okay with me. Anywho - the lady doing my pedicure was incredibly nice but as the place got busier I noticed she started rushing. The 5 minute massage was 2 minutes of hot rocks and then 2 minutes of wiping my legs off. She rushed the layers of nail polish leaving them streaky (my fault I didn't notice till I got home) . Normally I wouldn't mind an in and out job but I was leaving on vacation and wanted them semi good because I wouldn't have time yo correct them till I got back. The lady got less her doing my hands was exhausted to say the least. She paid more attention to my hands than the lady on my feet did. But again felt very very rushed. Fast forward to literally less than 24 hours later as I'm picking up around the house I look down to two of my nails flapping in the wind (just the gel lol) but they came off like a bandaid that got wet. I noticed 3 more of my nails lifting and those came off just as easy. So as of 20 hours into this new set of nails I only have 5 that actually stuck on. And toes that are very very streaky. So maybe stick with your gut and stay at your normal place. And again I finish this with saying I know everyone's experience is different. But I don't think in 30 something years of getting my nails done has this ever happened. I'm also sorry to the owner I mean no ill will but this is unacceptable for a total of almost 80 bucks. read more

The place was clean, and my nails turned out okay, but the pricing was very misleading. I was quoted one price and then charged a much higher amount at checkout. I got a full-color basic pedicure for $51 and a basic white-tip full set. The full set was listed as starting at around $40, but I was charged $79 for it instead. If I had known it was going to cost that much, I would have never gotten a basic white-tip set. I don't mind paying for quality, but I do expect honest pricing and clear communication. The unexpected price increase was very disappointing, and because of this experience, I won't be returning. If the $79 -$100 was the total bill for both services rather than just the full set. The total was $130, mind you I tipped them $10 each before I knew my total so I literally paid $150. read more

As a regular who has came here multiple times and given them multiple chances I understand they have multiple different artists so I have tried many different ones and every time I am disappointed. Every single time my nails do not last more than week. I thought at first maybe it was the job that I work but no, I got my nails done and went on vacation this past week and they are still horrible. After just one week it's unreasonable to pay $100 for my toes and nails just for my nails to be fading and falling off in a week, especially gel. I seriously do not think I will ever come back maybe if I'm desperate, but then I'll be knowing that I'm paying extremely overpriced for nails that aren't going to last even a week. Time for a nail refresh so I popped into Allure Nails & Spa. I went in for a gel manicure and Felix worked on my nails. The place is very nice and clean. It's modern and demure decor gives upscale vibes. It's very relaxing in there and I was getting sleepy while Felix was working in my nails. This place is a tad pricier than others nearby and I think it's fair considering the great work they do and how clean and customer service oriented they are. My hand and forearm massage was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!! I didn't want it to stop. I am definitely coming back for more treatments and to try them again because consistency is key to success in a business like this. My first time was good, I paid 75 + tip for a new set. 2 weeks later, I go to get a fill mind you I still have all my nails still just needed a color change and a bit more maintenance around the cuticle area. The nail art is beautiful, but when I've done simpler nails I have also loved them. I have had Felix or his wife Tina do my nails and they are very talented and professional and friendly. They never hurt me and are really easy to work with. I also don't feel pressured to up sell. For my toes I have had Larry and Haylee, again both great, nice and no pain. The place overall is clean, smells good (not overly chemically like other places) and has a pretty calming aesthetic. All staff have been polite, friendly and made me feel comfortable. Advertised $26 for "basic pedicure" but that wouldn't include foot scrub, so upsale to $36. Foot bath had paraffin wax floating in it from previous customer. Ick! I pointed it out and they moved me to a different station (after I had already soaked in the used tub). Manicurist was very young and left my nails too long and uneven. My appointment was at 10 am. I get there and place is packed. There's a sign that says they don't go in order of arrival because people have appts and availability of the nail techs. I think, cool good think I scheduled an appointment. WRONG! I get at down at 10:15. You think they would start. Wrong again. 10:25 rolls around. A nail tech comes in at 10:26 and that's the guy that I was told was going to do my nails. Nope, wasting my time any longer. If you expect me to wait when I made an appointment and you overbooked yourself, im not going to give you my hard earned money. I already drove from lake isabella and waited on you. My co worker and I were looking to get a pedicure on our lunch hour ( I know risky business) so I started yelping some new options since she hasn't gotten one in years. We chose Allure since it was a short drive from the office but also that it was new and updated! We were pleasantly surprised that it's just as the photos if not better. Walk-ins welcomed! Place freshly opened about two months ago! The first thing you notice when you walk in is how spacious the place is, it's so elegant looking with all it's white walls and marble looking floors, the perfectly placed furniture, nothing out of order, and the huge massage chairs, with the classical music playing softly in the background, and the two big screen TV's showing all these sweet treats being prepared in the most elegant way possible too lol... It was all just so fresh feeling, soothing and calming.... It wasn't to crowded at all on a Thursday late afternoon, I was greeted immediately, waited about 5 mins and was called to a chair! considering I was a walk-in, I didn't have to wait long at all. Sat in the deluxe massage chair, and was even offered a soda or water while my feet soaked!! Talk about fancy hospitality!!! Lol. Larry was my technician today, He was so nice and funny! You can tell he's passionate about what he does... so gentle, yet precise and detailed! Your given the menu and a booklet sample of all the colors they have, and you choose your preferences... I choose the happy Pedi with gel Polish. And two different colors... Very organized. I got the full hot towel wrap around and the scrub down with the exfoliating sugar orange and coffee cappuccino products, it was so relaxing and my feet and legs were so soft afterwards (side not, wear easy to roll up pants so you get the full leg treatment lol), not to mention how great the products smelled!! Aroma therapy! they even set a timer while they massage you so you get your full 5 mins!! Awesome. And the hot stone!!! Yes Please!! Such an Honest. Friendly. And down to earth experience!!
