I love this place. Staff are so nice and are always so welcoming. The services they are reasonable compared to other nail places. The vibe here is chill. They have music always playing that is so relaxing. The nail salon is always clean and they are constantly sweeping or picking up things. They are getting lower stars because of integrity and using an altoids as storage. The lady started my massage timer before the actual massage!!! It didn't dawn on me they were cutting corners until my daughter said something about her service being good until they got busy and her lady went faster. Disappointing! Our services were pedicures. They did great jobs on our gel colors but be warned to pay attention. I'm saddened I have to even write this because we have been going here for a while. The facility was clean and friendly. read more

I was trying to find a place close to home and didn't have to make an appointment. I called and the guy said come on in, no appointment needed. I've driven by this place so many times but never stopped. It is clean, lots of pedi chairs, two kids chairs and more nail tables. They quickly sat me in a chair and I had a technician working on me within a few minutes. Tau (spelling?) is who worked on me. She was great!! She made my toes look great!! She gave me a great massage, which I needed. And I walked out with my toes looking better than ever! Tau was very nice, friendly and great at her job. I will be back! read more

Went in for a $36 gel manicure and they did acrylics on my daughter without asking me and then charged me $65 for it!!!! The staff are very friendly and I was able to make a same day appointment for my 14 year old daughter. HOWEVER, I made an appointment for a GEL manicure because I specifically did NOT want her to have acrylics going in to school. They had her pick out a color and sit down and when they rang me up they charged me $65 for an acrylic gel manicure! They did not ask me about this change, they did not tell her to ask me about this change. That's a significant difference in price and materials and just wanted to warn others to make sure you know what service they're doing. They did do a great job on her manicure but I am pissed that they upcharged me without asking permission! read more

It was my first time coming here today with my sister in law. We got a basic acrylic full set with a natural color. I don't know who I got but it was a male and he was super rough and rude. I never speak up when someone is being rough on me but something told me to say something. This guy got upset when I told him I wanted the nails shorter & he gave me a snappy response... I ignored it but kept that in mind. Then, when he trimmed the acrylic nail he cut my index finger on the cuticle & I told him to please be gentle because he cut me & it hurt. He disregarded me... then he proceeded to put the acrylic coat when he trimmed them down he cut me YET AGAIN! This time on my other index finger. Then i told him yet again, you cut me I told you that hurt and you ignored me. He got so upset, he dropped everything on the table and looked at me like I was in the wrong when I explained I told him not once but twice to please be careful he got so mad he got up as to walk away so I said you know what I want you to take them off I'm done!! He left me hanging... & walked out of the salon. THATS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME! I was very patient and super calm, I never get defensive or upset over things like this I'm an introvert who hates confrontation so the fact that I actually spoke up and he acted like this was just SUPER DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE!! I was so close to walking out when the owner said he will finish the job. & i said alright but I was really upset and in shock at that guys attitude. The owner was really gentle and nice but I could tell he felt bad. I guess this isn't the first time that man acted that way according to my sister in law. She came once before & he did the exact same to another woman but the other woman was not having it she actually said NO IM LEAVING & got them to take off her nails and she left. So honestly, this experience was enough for me not to come here ever again. I hate saying that, but I've never been one for confrontation and this was well deserved. I had to say something & I don't think me saying more than once to be gentle was rude. If anything I was being very calm and nice & he was not having it. I paid $42 which to me was NOT WORTH IT. I shouldn't have paid. But honestly, the owner was nice enough so I went ahead and paid them but I left no tip. & its way too expensive in my opinion and to top it off that man was way out of line. So save yourself the trouble and don't get your nails done here. It's not worth it read more

Don't go here!!!! Save your money and go elsewhere....Omg! Had the most horrible experience! Nails look like crap! Super short! Bumps! Awful . My pedi was uncomfortable. And the guy and girl who worked on me suck! They talk in their language and I have NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE SAYING. They don't listen to what I like. They do not know how to work on long nails all they work on is short nails. Had my nails done somewhere else just went in here for a fill because my regular girl was out the next day a big crack right in the middle of my nail. I didn't hit or bump my finger whatsoever, so I don't understand what the big crack was. They do not know how to put acrylic. Anyways, that was so painful half of my real nail came off. This never happens when I go to my regular gal. All they know is basic, but they charge the same.. definitely will not be back read more

I love darling nails. I always get my nails done by Vivian here. She is really good at her form and shaping of nails. They have a great selection at darling nails of gel colors as well as normal polish. They are in the Jacalito and Verdugo market shopping center. I always come to Vivian and she is really good at nail art designs! I also get my waxing done here by Vivian she's really good at waxing. I feel for Bakersfield darling nails is a very reasonably priced and affordable. The have nice pedicure chairs, And they even have one or two for the kids. I really like darling nails! They except credit cards. A lot of nail shops are cash only and have ATMs inside of them and do not take credit cards so it is nice that darling nails does! If you are in the Rosedale area And you're looking for a nail lady I highly recommend Vivian! read more

Let me just start by saying they did the complete opposite of what I asked for I asked for I had an old set on before I came in and I asked for a soak off because they were hard to take off and instead they ripped the nails off my fingers and they damaged my real nails underneath and left my fingers in pain and after that I asked him to do a short Moon cut set on my nails and The woman doing my nails didn't know how to do the shape correctly so she just filed my nails down all the way really short I was so disappointed when I left here I was crying read more

This is about my 8th time going here and I absolutely love this place. Darling Nails is my ultimate go to if I need my nails done. They are very patient and efficient at their work. Never once have I had a rude worker. The staff here is really nice and professional and never disappoint! I have and will always recommend my friends to go here. I have only gotten full sets and acrylics because I'm not huge on getting a pedicure, but my nails always come out fabulous! read more

What's the first thing a teacher wants to do when school let's out for winter break? Be pampered, of course, and Darling Nails is the place my fellow teacher and I chose to do just that yesterday. Darling Nails is located on the Northwest corner of Hageman and Verdugo, in the same center at Jacalitos and Krush. They have ten pedicure stations, five down each side of the salon, and all of them have massage chairs. (There are also 8 manicure stations, four up front and four down the middle- sorry, no massage chairs at those) Honestly, it's worth half the price of the pedicure just to sit and enjoy the massage while they work on your feet! We were seated together and two of the women started working on us. Mine suggested that we use the controls on the massage chair to cause it to recline and REALLY enjoy the experience. I wouldn't have believed what a difference that could make ( I already had my sore and tired feet in a basin of warm water being massaged by jets and my the chair was kneading my back) but it made me feel all warm and sleepy. That may have been partly due to the fact I had only two and a half hours of sleep last night while prepping for this final day of school. Both of us chose the Deluxe Pedicure which cost $40 and included callous removal, salt scrub, mask, even a hot stone massage. As the water began to fill the basin both of our pedicurists asked how we liked the temperature of the water. I announced mine could be hotter and Megan announced it was a bit on the hot side. I'm pretty sure that both of our chairs were dispensing water at about the same temperature but everybody has different preferences so it was nice that we were asked about ours and they made the proper adjustments to assure each of us had the maximum enjoyment out of this experience. The pedicure was excellent, but my favorite part was at the end, when we were done. Megan had her nails finished first and her nail girl didn't rush her out of the chair, but told her to feel free to wait till I was done. When I was done, my girl put the single use flip flops on my feet for me (so I wouldn't mess up the polish by putting my boots back on too soon) and told me not to rush. I enjoyed the ability to spend an extra five minutes in the massage chair. We went up to the front to pay. They take credit cards in payment for the pedicure, but be aware they ask that you tip your girl in cash. This should not present a problem as they have an ATM machine inside that charges only a $0.50 transaction fee. Let's be honest, it'd be worth it to come in just to use the ATM as that fee is significantly less than most other ATMs. As we paid, the lady taking our money said "Merry Christmas" and gave us each a little gift, I think it holds a pumice, a buffer, and a little lotion. It was the finishing touch on a lovely pampering experience. Oh, we'll be back. Count on it. read more

Rude customer service when I asked why it was $55 dollars for a fill for a French tip with no design. I proceeded to tell them I wasn't paying that because the last time before this set I paid the same amount but got designs and that was still for it being a fill. I still don't understand why the fill cost just as much as a whole new set. I mean I might be wrong but I thought a fill was supposed to be cheaper than a new set not the same price or sometimes even more. read more

i've gone here multiple times, and each time i've left disappointed in some way. there's really only one lady who's good at art work, but if she's busy, you're out of luck. that's not really the point of this review. i've found someone else to do my nails, but i still thought i could come here and get my toes done, right? pretty hard to mess up. actually, no. i got my toes done yesterday and today, my right big toe is infected. i noticed when she cut my cuticle that it was pretty painful, and she took a lot of skin off. it didn't bleed, but only barely. i'll spare you the picture, but it's not pretty. not only the infection, but the paint job is not great. it's white gel, and there's patchy spots as well as paint still on the skin. i paid over 60 dollars for a nail infection and a crappy paint job. super disappointed, but i've learned my lesson. i will not be returning. read more

Overpriced and now my daughter's toe is infected because obviously they didn't use clean equipment. She had a pedicure done on Thursday and now this is how her toe looks. Stay away from this place. My husband and I just visited Darling Nails for the first time and we both had the $42 pedicure. We had a full hour of services that included a wax treatment and hot towels (my favorite!). Tiffany and My were very gentle and wanted to make sure we were happy with their service, which we were! I like their hours of operation, to include Sundays from 10 am - 5 pm, which is convenient for folks working Monday through Friday. We plan to go back for more relaxing pedicures! read more

I walked in they seated me right away. But on the phone the worker said a full set would be $37 I got there and ended up having todo polish. They also did not cut down my cuticles. They got messed up and are way longer than I asked. Over all I don't like them! read more

Unfortunately they have raised there prices but didn't raise the service expectation. I usually go here and it's hit or miss whether I get a great pedi or mani. Probably more good than bad. This time to my surprise they raised each service about $9. Nothing extra, nothing special just a average pedi. I can't even say my massage was good. It was more like rubbing my lotion in. Disappointed "In response to their comment" This is my opinion and yes the prices were raised considerably, not $1, and your $22 dollar pedi is basically a polish. Whom ever reads this is entitled to see for themselves but I stand on my review. read more

They are probably busier for this reason but it works in their favor. You can have high prices, bring in less people because of it and not make as much money. I hope they realize what a good thing they have going on in their business and keep things as they are.
