The first time I came here People were really nice so I decided to go again but when I tell you it was one of the worst experience I've ever had I mean it. I went super excited to get my pedicure ready to enjoy my birthday to only come out, upset, crying, and feeling insulted. The man who did my pedicure came up to me looking upset so I decided to make conversation as I always do. I'm a very cheerful person and a very social person. I even complimented his tattoos and smiled and said hello and all he said was OK. When he began on my toes he kept pushing and pulling my leg for my toes to lay down flat. (keep in mind even though I do acknowledge I have flat feet and unfortunately curved toes. I've never had a problem getting a pedicure.) now this man look frustrated with me even after I apologize multiple times. had my chair pushed up so close that I was in an uncomfortable position. He kept pushing my toes down and signing an anger and frustration. He kept pulling my toes and then getting upset with me when I would cramp up and moved because I couldn't stay in that position that he wanted. finally, after being in so much pain, I told him " I'm so sorry my toes just don't stay like that. This is really uncomfortable" with almost tears in my face, and instead of fixing his position and or hiring his chair he yelled at me, saying just look away, waving his arm at me upset. He said it's so loudly that a person sitting two chairs away from me. Tried to comfort me by saying mine tells me that all the time. I tried to stay still as possible so he wouldn't yell at me again. He only had the massage part left, and I thought to myself finally maybe a few minutes I can relax. He started my timer, then began to fix things on his cart with about two minutes left on the timer he began my massage, tapped my legs and said there. At that point I just wanted to leave. Went in for a $36 gel manicure and they did acrylics on my daughter without asking me and then charged me $65 for it!!!! The staff are very friendly and I was able to make a same day appointment for my 14 year old daughter. HOWEVER, I made an appointment for a GEL manicure because I specifically did NOT want her to have acrylics going in to school. They had her pick out a color and sit down and when they rang me up they charged me $65 for an acrylic gel manicure! They did not ask me about this change, they did not tell her to ask me about this change. That's a significant difference in price and materials and just wanted to warn others to make sure you know what service they're doing. They did do a great job on her manicure but I am pissed that they upcharged me without asking permission! read more

It was my first time coming here today with my sister in law. We got a basic acrylic full set with a natural color. I don't know who I got but it was a male and he was super rough and rude. I never speak up when someone is being rough on me but something told me to say something. This guy got upset when I told him I wanted the nails shorter & he gave me a snappy response... I ignored it but kept that in mind. Then, when he trimmed the acrylic nail he cut my index finger on the cuticle & I told him to please be gentle because he cut me & it hurt. He disregarded me... then he proceeded to put the acrylic coat when he trimmed them down he cut me YET AGAIN! This time on my other index finger. Then i told him yet again, you cut me I told you that hurt and you ignored me. He got so upset, he dropped everything on the table and looked at me like I was in the wrong when I explained I told him not once but twice to please be careful he got so mad he got up as to walk away so I said you know what I want you to take them off I'm done!! He left me hanging... & walked out of the salon. THATS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME! I was very patient and super calm, I never get defensive or upset over things like this I'm an introvert who hates confrontation so the fact that I actually spoke up and he acted like this was just SUPER DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE!! I was so close to walking out when the owner said he will finish the job. & i said alright but I was really upset and in shock at that guys attitude. The owner was really gentle and nice but I could tell he felt bad. I guess this isn't the first time that man acted that way according to my sister in law. She came once before & he did the exact same to another woman but the other woman was not having it she actually said NO IM LEAVING & got them to take off her nails and she left. So honestly, this experience was enough for me not to come here ever again. I hate saying that, but I've never been one for confrontation and this was well deserved. I had to say something & I don't think me saying more than once to be gentle was rude. If anything I was being very calm and nice & he was not having it. I paid $42 which to me was NOT WORTH IT. I shouldn't have paid. But honestly, the owner was nice enough so I went ahead and paid them but I left no tip. & its way too expensive in my opinion and to top it off that man was way out of line. Had my nails done somewhere else just went in here for a fill because my regular girl was out the next day a big crack right in the middle of my nail. What's the first thing a teacher wants to do when school let's out for winter break? Be pampered, of course, and Darling Nails is the place my fellow teacher and I chose to do just that yesterday. Darling Nails is located on the Northwest corner of Hageman and Verdugo, in the same center at Jacalitos and Krush. They have ten pedicure stations, five down each side of the salon, and all of them have massage chairs. (There are also 8 manicure stations, four up front and four down the middle- sorry, no massage chairs at those) Honestly, it's worth half the price of the pedicure just to sit and enjoy the massage while they work on your feet! We were seated together and two of the women started working on us. Mine suggested that we use the controls on the massage chair to cause it to recline and REALLY enjoy the experience. I wouldn't have believed what a difference that could make ( I already had my sore and tired feet in a basin of warm water being massaged by jets and my the chair was kneading my back) but it made me feel all warm and sleepy. That may have been partly due to the fact I had only two and a half hours of sleep last night while prepping for this final day of school. Both of us chose the Deluxe Pedicure which cost $40 and included callous removal, salt scrub, mask, even a hot stone massage. As the water began to fill the basin both of our pedicurists asked how we liked the temperature of the water. I announced mine could be hotter and Megan announced it was a bit on the hot side. I'm pretty sure that both of our chairs were dispensing water at about the same temperature but everybody has different preferences so it was nice that we were asked about ours and they made the proper adjustments to assure each of us had the maximum enjoyment out of this experience. The pedicure was excellent, but my favorite part was at the end, when we were done. Megan had her nails finished first and her nail girl didn't rush her out of the chair, but told her to feel free to wait till I was done. When I was done, my girl put the single use flip flops on my feet for me (so I wouldn't mess up the polish by putting my boots back on too soon) and told me not to rush. I enjoyed the ability to spend an extra five minutes in the massage chair. We went up to the front to pay. They take credit cards in payment for the pedicure, but be aware they ask that you tip your girl in cash. This should not present a problem as they have an ATM machine inside that charges only a $0.50 transaction fee. Let's be honest, it'd be worth it to come in just to use the ATM as that fee is significantly less than most other ATMs. As we paid, the lady taking our money said "Merry Christmas" and gave us each a little gift, I think it holds a pumice, a buffer, and a little lotion. It was the finishing touch on a lovely pampering experience. Oh, we'll be back. Count on it. read more

Tiffany and My were very gentle and wanted to make sure we were happy with their service, which we were! i've gone here multiple times, and each time i've left disappointed in some way. there's really only one lady who's good at art work, but if she's busy, you're out of luck. that's not really the point of this review. i've found someone else to do my nails, but i still thought i could come here and get my toes done, right? pretty hard to mess up. actually, no. i got my toes done yesterday and today, my right big toe is infected. i noticed when she cut my cuticle that it was pretty painful, and she took a lot of skin off. it didn't bleed, but only barely. i'll spare you the picture, but it's not pretty. not only the infection, but the paint job is not great. it's white gel, and there's patchy spots as well as paint still on the skin. i paid over 60 dollars for a nail infection and a crappy paint job. super disappointed, but i've learned my lesson. i will not be returning. read more
