BEWARE! This place is a joke. Lee did a TERRIBLE job on my nails started lifting after not even 1 week of my nails being done! When speaking to Lee his recommendation was to get something from Walmart or Target to repair ones that were broken or lifting REALLY I PAID $40 for a fill for Walmart or Target products. He told me to come in and get a refund. When I went in there to get a refund he tried to short me $10. When I tried to walk out with my $39 which was $10 short Lee followed me out of the building saying I stole $30 after he grabbed the money out of the bag FULL OF CASH and handed it to me. ****UPDATE*** Went back 2 days later at the behest of several people to ask for either a repair or refund, not really thinking it would happen. Thankfully I was very wrong! Kelly agreed to fix me up at no charge, and Boy! is she wonderful. She worked a miracle on my nails, and I couldn't be more thrilled or appreciative! She is so sweet and talented, and takes pride in her work and place of employment. Let me emphasize, Kelly is not the owner nor a manager, therefore she was not obligated to fix another employee's work. And yet, she didn't even hesitate when I asked to sit with her. The reviews of her work do not lie! She has a new customer for life....that is, if she can fit me into her crazy schedule!!!! Conflicted review....First, the salon is clean and comfortable with a lot of polish, gel and acrylic options. I went in as a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon, and had a little bit of a wait, which was perfectly fine. I was planning to do a gel mani/pedi, but my nails were so short that I decided to do gels on acrylic. I also wanted to be a little creative, but after being sat with an older, Asian gentleman, and not knowing his particular skill-set or how to cross the language barrier, I changed my mind and just chose a a basic square shape and a single color. He was very kind and gentle, but unfortunately the job was very sloppy. I asked for my nails to be cut short, slightly longer than my fingertips and thin. He didn't do either, instead said he'd file them down. I tried to press him further, but eventually gave in. The acrylic went on very thick, uneven and lumpy. All my nails are shaped differently. They are so thick, it feels like a growth on my nails. The polish job is not any better. Very uneven, and not cleaned at all. I even went back after my pedicure to have him clean some of the excess acrylic off my fingers, but he was adamant that it wasn't acrylic, just dry skin from the acetone and would be better after washing my hands. After my manicure, I was moved to a pedicure chair....this was a much better experience. Santana did my pedicure, and was Amazing! Very meticulous and attentive. I could tell she really enjoys her work and is good at it. I just wish I had had her do my nails. Not much more than I can say, other than very happy about my toes, not so much about my fingers. The total was $79, before tip. Not outrageous for those services, but definitely too much for the quality of the full-set gels. I'm sad too, because this was an unnecessary, last-minute splurge for my upcoming vacation, so I don't have the time/or money to have them re-done. The more I look at them, the more upset I get. I might go back in the future, but only if I can make an appt with Santana or she's available as a walk-in. read more

I've been there twice already. First time my nails lasted 3-4 weeks and still looked pretty good. The second time, I'm going on 5 weeks and they're barely starting to lift. Walked in, requested a spa pedi & got a young American guy to do my pedi. Not something that iam used to, but okay.. I desperately needed one. Once sitting in the chair, I noticed a ugly stare from the American girl sitting in the back doing nails... I had my feet soaking, and kindly asked the young man a few questions. He mentioned the girl staring was his fiancé. Anyways, he starts on my feet. He never clipped my nails, only trimmed 1 and was done in 10 minutes. His nail polish skills sucked & at that point after being stared at by his fiancé I just wanted to get out. $20 later I walked out with soaked feet and sloppy nail polish splashes on my feet. Not the best experience. My mom, sister and I came in to get manicures & pedicures. The older man that did my moms nails didn't clean up her cuticles, put on a vase coat or anything. Basically polished her nails very sloppy. The guy that did my manicure didn't do the best job, but did at least try to. The same guy that did my moms manicure did my pedicure and it was ABSOLUTELY AWEFUL! I don't even think he changed liners, cleaned the tub or got fresh towels. I honestly wanted to just leave. When scrubbing my feet he used excessive force and when I said, that hurts he didn't let up. Pedicures are supposed to be relaxing and it was not! He never offered for the callus remover and at that point I just wanted to be DONE! My sister was getting a polish change by Eric and he was okay. My sister and i have been going to kelly for about 10 years and this was when she was sharing a shop with a partner. Now shes on her own and doing improvements on her shop and workers. Her business is her life .Her Shop is her money maker and values everyones business . I've never once walked out of her shop unhappy she meets my needs everytime .The Shop is always clean she welcomes anyone. The ladies that worked here were really nice but the man that did my nails seemed to rush through them, even though it was super slow(Wednesday afternoon) resulting in a bad filing job and thin nails because he didn't put that many layers of my gel paint. I asked for a design I saw in one of the yelp pictures and he couldn't do it, tried something else that looked terrible so I ended up with just plain polish. I'm on my husbands account, but this is from a female experience at this location. I first would like to say I've been to this salon three times every other week. The first time I went, I was with Tiffany, and she did a great job. The second time I went in I had a male manicurist do my nails and he did a great job, but didn't do designs. So, if I had done my review based on those two experiences, I would have given this review 5 stars! On my third visit, I spoke with the owner and she welcomed me early in the morning. I wanted to get my fills done and a simple Disney design. I was sent to Tiffany and right off the back she was very rude and not friendly. I told her I wanted a Disney design, I didn't care what she did. She replied, "Well if it isn't Picasso." Ok, so I couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or even more rude than she was already. So, she began designing a rose on my nail and before she started on my second hand, just one nail done on each hand, I told her I didn't like it. It was not at all Disney and she didn't even talk about some ideas she had in mind before doing so. She immediately got mad and said to the owner, "Can you finish her nails, she said she didn't care what design but then she doesn't like what I did." She did his in front of the entire store. I was so embarrassed and felt so out of place there. I went to sit with the owner and she was great, as usual she seems very energetic and likely. Then as I'm doing my nails, Tiffany stormed out towards the back and a white male manicurist went with her. You could hear her complaining and saying, "I must be starting my period soon." I really liked this place, up until this experience, and it is sad because finding a good nail place is hard to find on the East Side of town and with two previous excellent experiences I really thought this was the place. I had myself set up to go every two weeks to this place of business. However, because of Tiffany, I will no longer be coming here, I have already taken away 4 clients who I brought with me during my first visits and have stopped going to there as well. I am going to continue telling anyone I know, or have told about this place being positive, not to come here anymore because of how horrible Tiffany treated me. She did a bad job on my fill too. I was never apologized either by any of the staff. I feel bad for the owner because she is wonderful, but if she continues to allow her employees to run the store like Tiffany did to me, and based on other reviews this isn't the first negative customer experience, she will lose the clients who used to enjoy coming here. HORRIBLE! I've never been more dissatisfied with a "salon". I went in and requested a full set with gel nail polish, no design. When I sat down I noticed the work station very dirty, this guy didn't even bother to clean his work station before his next client. I then questioned how sanitary this place really is, with nail clippings everywhere; brushes and jars with build up. Disgusting. As I was getting my nails done I noticed he was speeding through the process and not paying attention to detail, the end result was a disaster. Every single nail was lumpy and not filed right, keep in mind I had to bring it to his attention to correct it through out the process. Which brings up my next subject, this guy charged me $40 bucks!! When just the other day my sister in law had her full set gel nail polish done for $20! Something isn't adding up. I had gone to this place in the past a few times, my neighbor actually recommended it to me as she has gone to this nail salon for many years for her nails. I returned with my best friend after telling her how this place was great and how they salvaged my nails from another nail salon that had butchered my set at the time. My gosh how I regret it now! We went in and asked for a full set for me and a mani/pedi for my bestie. First off the man who did my nails never fit the nails tips correctly, just began to guess and glue them on. Then he began to work waaay too quickly, he kept getting me with the nail drill, to the extent that he cut me up really bad on my cuticles and left me bleeding. As he sped on through he didn't clean his mess so I had nail glue and acrylic stuck to all my fingers. I even had glops of acrylic under my nails that I had to try and chip off. Once home I was taking off the acrylic when I noticed that the nail tips that were placed under my acrylic weren't pressed down and that I had gaps between my original nail and the nail tip. My mom in law told me to get it fixed soon as I could get a nail infection from having water trapped in there. I am so disappointed and embarrassed. I raved about this place to my best friend who was extremely disappointed on the way her mani/pedi came out. She swore to never return and I regretfully agree. read more
