Allora, please, please bring back the Roman Artichokes! We love Allora. We come here often and have tried just about everything on the original menu but recently they updated their menu and took a few favorites off. Most notably the Roman artichoke appetizer in the most delicious garlic alio-olio sauce. The artichokes are now called Carciofi alla Guidia which is just the crispy artichokes in a Romesco sauce that was just ok. We probably would not order them again. The other favorites missing are the Braised beef, Rigatoni Manza and Short Rib medallions. We get it, short ribs are expensive but boy were they yummy. Everything else we had including the Chicken Italiano and the new Allora Caprese salad with crispy eggplant were excellent as well as our server Laura. read more

Had a reservation for 6 @ 6pm Saturday night. Got there a few minutes early. Our table was ready and we were seated immediately. Our waitress came right over to open our wine, and brought bread to the table. Then we ordered appetizers, calamari Suppli, & cavatelli carbonara. All were very good, didn't even get a picture as everyone was starving and it all went quickly. The bus boys were very quick to remove any finished plates. The waitress was very quick to refill the kids sodas. We ordered our entrees and they came out perfect. I got the chicken piccata and it was delicious, one of the best I've ordered out. My friend ordered the filet medallions w/ risotto & spinach, I tasted it & that was also delicious, the sauce was very good. The kids enjoyed their meals. My husband ordered the strip steak special, he said it was ok, he was impressed with the way it was cooked. We don't usually do dessert, except when my daughter is with us. I also had $200 gift card and wanted to make sure I used it all. We decided on tiramisu, which was very light & very good, and the tres leches cake, this was a very heavy sweet dessert. It was very good and all 6 of us shared these desserts which was plenty after all the food we ate. Overall, the service was great and the food was delicious. I will definitely be going back. It's also BYOB which is nice Not sure what took us so long to come back, but took a chance and walked in around 7 last night with no reservation. They have a 3rd room that is a little different from the other 2 and in the back, the couple in front of us refused to be seated back there. We didn't care and took the table, it was fine. It did take about 10 ministers before our server acknowledged us, but after that he was very attentive. The only complaint about the table is it was veryyyyyy sticky! I'm not sure why they don't just order more white table cloths and make that room the same as the other 2. I had the Brussel sprout appetizer and it was delicious, I could have eaten a bowl for as an entree. The chicken Allora was very good, although there were 2 pieces of chicken and one had a weird texture, not really their fault, as I know from cooking, sometimes you get a bad piece. My husband said the crab cakes were delicious. This restaurant is very loud, at least last night. There were a lot of big parties in there and everyone seemed to be having a great time. My bff was in town and we decided to check out a place near home. It was a Tuesday night and a handful of tables were seated. We both loved the open kitchen and decor of the dining room. Our server was knowledgeable and polite, giving us girls plenty of time to look over the menu as we had some catching up to do. After going thru the menu we did some items from there and some of the specials of the night. Holly picked the stuffed artichokes with a tangy lemon sauce and they were incredibly delicious. The gnocchi was some of the best I have ever eaten. The crispy shaved brussels sprouts had the prefect crunch to them. We devoured these three dishes and moved on for more. I was all about the rack of lamb special and she got the sea bass. Hers came with risotto and mine with a sort of rice cake. We chatted, we laughed, we took our time and loved every minute of it. It's always fun to go out with another culinarian who enjoys good food. The restaurant was closing up shop around 9, but did not rush us out and I appreciate that. read more

I happened to come across Allora while dining at the owner's other establishment, Nene's Italian Deli; also located in Marlton. This place, and the owner's other establishment played an instrumental part for my family during the early part of the quarantine. Their family dinner specials were beneficial to my wife and I were adjusting to working from home with kids. Great meals at a great price. When restrictions were slightly lifted, Allora was our second dining experience, but the first with just the wife and I. It was great to share a bottle of wine (BYOB), and enjoy this fine Italian cuisine. Their Chicken Parmigiana is the best around. Breaded perfectly, with a slight crunch. My next favorite is the braised beef. It's packed with flavor, and so tender that it falls apart with just the slightest touch. We usually order penne and sausage for the kids and they love it. I've enjoyed just about everything I tried here, but that Shrimp & Crabmeat Fra Diablo is something special. Whenever my in-laws watch the kids, I encouraged them to order from Allora. I have been a loyal customer for years and have NEVER had an issue in the past. My parents came to town and I wanted to give them the Allora experience. We had dinner reservations at 7:15 pm on Friday, February 23rd. We arrived at 7:00 pm and were seated in a timely manner. Our waiter, Nunzio (I believe that was his name but the receipt said Taylor S) was HORRIBLE. We ordered 4 entrees, one appetizer and one salad that came to $156.75. He took our order and then we didn't see him for 1 hour and 55 minutes. There were NO refills, NO checking in on us to make sure we didn't need anything and most importantly NO updates on what was going on with our order. Once the partial food order did come (1 hour and 45 minutes later) it was served by another waiter (very nice female). She apologized and 10 minutes later the other items came out (delivered by the initial waiter). This is not acceptable. I wanted to leave after an hour but didn't want to cause a scene so I sucked it up but this will never happen again because they have lost a customer (which they probably don't care about anyway from what they showed me yesterday. read more

I have to admit, when I saw they said "Marlton's Italian hot spot" on their website I chuckled a little bit. However, after dining here I can see why they market as such. Their food, atmosphere and overall experience was superb. The outside is nothing to see, it's in a strip mall. But, once you step inside, it has such a nice family owned Italian feel. They have a ton of gluten free and vegan options on their menu if you have restrictions. It's also a scratch kitchen so they can make anything to your liking. We shared the mussels are they were very good. Also, they have a pesto oil to go with their bread that we enjoyed very much. My fiancée had the Short Rib Ragu and she absolutely loved it. I tried it as well and it was super rich and tasteful. I had the Chicken Parmesan and loved it. You could taste how fresh the chicken and the sauce were. I had a very pleasant business lunch today at Allora. I hadn't been here since La Posata closed and the new space seems brighter and more open. Allora was doing a decent business for lunch. The dipping sauce that is served with their bread is excellent. The lunch menu is on the pricey side, ranging from $8.00 to $14.00. I had the Tuscan Braised Beef Sandwich, which was their signature boneless braised beef with red wine pan sauce topped with mozzarella cheese. It was a pretty good sandwich with nice flavors and very filling. The Da Soli people in Haddonfield own Allora. Our server was great and very attentive. What a wonderful dining experience! I live in Monmouth County and on 3/3/2024 was visiting my brother and sister-in-law who live in Marlton. They suggested Allora as they had previously enjoyed the food there a number of times. Our server, Steve, was by far one of the most accommodating servers I've ever had! I have an aversion to certain grated and "smelly" cheeses. Steve was exceptionally considerate of my "issues" and checked the ingredients of the dishes I wanted with the Chef to be certain that my needs were met. I ordered Wild Shrimp and Crab Fra Diavlo made very spicy over homemade rigatoni. It was DELICIOUS and very spicy as requested. The shrimp and crab and lobster bisque special was exceptional. Everyone else at the table also enjoyed the food. I am looking forward to my next meal at Allora. Would you consider opening a restaurant in Monmouth County????? I highly recommend this place if you're ever in the area, or are just in the mood for some really good Italian eats. Excellent Italian restaurant with a great menu. When you walk in, the kitchen is off to the side but open to the entrance area separated by a countertop. The smell of what is cooking makes you hungry. That's when you know you're in for a treat. We shared plates while eating. Their sausage & figs are the best around. The Caesar salad had the prefect amount of dressing on it. Not too much, not too little. The crab cake was good. Would I order it again? Probably not. I think the red pepper risotto threw me off with it. The Steve's Tuscan Braised Beef was exceptional. The pork chop was huge, and the fennel and hot pepper rub was a nice touch. But the fennel was a little overpowering...but just by a little. It's a nice little place, service, and food were great. Having had a great meal there about a year prior, we went with 2 other couples hoping for a similar experience. To begin with, the room was extremely noisy; one of our friends has a Db measuring app on his phone and the room was sufficiently noisy (between 95-101Db) to cause hearing damage. A good meal might have mitigated that, but 2 of the dishes that came out were burnt to a crisp. So burnt you could break it like a cracker (and that was eggplant parmigiana FWIW). Overall, a very disappointing experience. My extended family went in for dinner, thirteen of us. We're a loud, fairly demanding group. Table was ready for us including s space for my nephew's wheelchair. Several people including my husband had the Filet Mignon special - grilled filet mignon, pan fried crab cake over sautéed spinach and creamy risotto. My brother in law had the stuffed veal chop - a huge, bone in veal chop - looked amazing, smelled delicious and he could barley finish it! I went for the Shrimp and Crabmeat Fra Diablo- plenty spicy with lots of large shrimp and big chunks of lump crabmeat in a spicy tomato gravy.... just the right amount of spaghetti, spicy without ruin overpowering to the seafood. I'd order it again. Desserts were big enough to share but I wasn't giving up my Tiramisu to anyone! HUGE piece, moist, creamy and just enough coffee flavor! To end the night they brought out some pineapple- coconutcello. I've never been a fan of limoncello - this absolutely changed my mind... I'm surprised I haven't written a review for Allora yet, but here it is! I love allora, I love the atmosphere, I love the staff, I love the food. My fiance and I moved to Marlton, minutes from Allora, a year ago and saw that on their website it said "Marlton's new Italian Hotspot" we were like ooookay lol but it really is that great. We ended up here after another "where do you want to go, I don't know, where do you want to go" conversation. The second we stepped inside we could not believe how cute it was! A little gem hiding inside of a strip mall. The food is always good, their portions are just right where we almost always have left overs, and I love how so many of their options can be made gluten free! We love it here so much we actually booked her wedding rehearsal dinner here for November. Their banquet packages seem like they come with more food than you can ask, for a reasonable price for the area. The staff has been super helpful answering questions as to what we can bring, when we can bring it, etc. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone here! read more

This was a wonderful discovery. I had gone to the owners other place in the morning and he mentioned the restaurant in passing. It was just as good as his coffee cafe. The fried squid was prepared to perfection. The texture was right on and not tough, which happens when overcoming. I was pleased to see the chef knew how to cook it. The veal parm was made with real veal according to my husband. He enjoyed it not only when we were out but there was enough to bring home for another meal. Don't forget dessert. We were told a new location and then later found out that was incorrect and had to send out additional invitations. Service was very nice a little rushed to start but I think our server was new and had the jitters. Bread and olive oil provided which was a good start. We had the pear salad which was very good and the Caesar salad which was way overdressed for our liking. The main entrees were ok and acceptable nothing bad but not great either. The tuna in the tri seafood either was old or not cooked right tasted very chewy. My chicken parm was great and we sampled the carrot cake ok, which more than likely was out of a box. I was excited to see a new BYOB establishment in the Marlton area. My husband and I dined here on a very quiet Tuesday evening recently. We ordered a special crab lobster tomato bisque, Veal San Marco, and Pork con Fico. We began with fresh bread and a tomato oil dipping sauce. The bread was fresh, however, it lacked any flavor. Did they put the appropriate salt in it? It tasted extremely bland. The bisque was on the salty side but alright to eat. The veal was cooked well, but the dish overall was not overly impressive to me. I don't think I would encourage eating it again. It wasn't terrible, but my expectations were higher. The Pork con Fico looked really good. It was better than the San Marco I had. The risotto side was basic, nothing to brag about. I may give it one more try, but I am certainly not in a rush. read more

Came here for a work holiday party 'lunch' and was excited as apparently last year the office I work for said it was great so they are coming back again. Just had an amazing meal here. I ordered a special, which was a portobello-crusted strip steak over homemade mushroom ravioli in a truffle cream sauce. The steak had a bacon jam on it that I would literally put on everything I could. There clearly was a lot of hard work and creativity put into the food. I split a cannoli for dessert and loved the little touches that made the recipe unique. The head chef, who I believe is also the owner, wished us a good night on our way out from the open kitchen, which was very nice. I forgot my server's name (Taylor?) but he was excellent. I'm annoyed with myself that I never made to Allora earlier before today. I wish they had a liquor license since I don't care for the byob concept but that's just a minor quibble. read more

I was thoroughly unimpressed by the selection of food here. I was also disappointed with the chicken piccata that I ordered. I really didn't care for it that much. The only thing that I did enjoy was the dessert. They have a wide selection of items that you can order. I don't know if they order this from a bakery or if they make it themselves.
