After a long research and visits to different stores and brands I decided to go with AE. Decided to pay them a visit at their store at Rockefeller on Dec 18th. Upon walking inside I was greeted by William which is the Assistance Manager, walked around looking at a few styles they had on display, although I had my mind set on 2 pairs from my research. After a few minutes I asked for William's help to get me the first pair which is an iconic shoe. The Park Avenue Oxford Cap Toe (wore by a few US presidents in their inauguration ceremony) he made sure I got the right measurements, the feel and proper fit. Oh man!!! When I tell you it was magical the moment I tried that pair! Just WOW. The shoes just molded my foot in a way I haven't experienced before. We then spoke a bit about shoes, he told me a little about him, he has been working in the shoe industry for over 22 years (now my friends, that's loving what you do) after a few minutes talking and making sure that pair was the ONE! I proceeded to get a second pair for a more casual look, he showed me 2 pairs of brogues in a Walnut color way. I picked the Strand Cap-toe Oxford (Half Brogue) it was like love at first side! Haha. He smiled and said "you got great taste" William's customer service was superb, in a big city like New York where everyone is rushing, full of stress it's hard to connect with people. I'm pretty sure we (William and Me) had some fun chatting and just loving the shoes and stories while I was there shopping. I came out of the store more than happy; with a bag of shoes and all sort of things to make sure they last me a lifetime! Pay this location a visit, but remember! Do not rush! We live in a world where we are always running to get to point X but we forget to admire what's in between! Less stress! Better life! Until next time William! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I found myself in New York for work and the Airlines lost my luggage...so I had to replace my shoes. I found the Allen Edmonds storefront on 61 W. 49th St and stopped by before my dinner reservations. I was assisted by William McLaughlin, who managed to set me up with the shoes I wanted and needed - Park Avenue Cap-toe Oxford. Now, I rated this 5 stars because of one main reason, other than the fact I love their shoes...the one on one service that is provided at this store. The one on one service, even if you have to wait a little bit as it is a small store, is top notch. Looking forward to my next trip to New York.

It's a tale of two Nordstroms... the Men's store, which has poor service, and the Flagship store…read moreacross the street, which has excellent service. I'm not sure I can remember a time when I've gone to the Men's store and had an overall positive experience...and I've been there maybe twenty times(!)? Perhaps once when all I was getting was a smoothie. Throughout the store the employees seem much more interested in talking to each other than customers; to the point that you have to interrupt to get their attention. Other times you'll feel like you're asking for a pony, BMW, and private beach house when you ask for directions. I've gotten side eyes and eye rolls there. Pushy salespeople are the other side of things. A lot of "do you have this in stock?" responded to with "no, I'm pretty sure we don't". Then you look at your app and it's indeed there, the salesperson didn't feel like finding it for you in the back. Aloof, disinterested, and just overall unhelpful. At first I thought it was just shoes (which is bad) but it seems the whole store needs the manager to actually manage. Because when you go across the street you suddenly don't feel bad for wanting to buy an expensive item from an associate. On the first floor where there is jewelry, body care, and fragrances, the people could not be more lovely. It's a little community happening and the customers are included. The shoe area is great, and designer upstairs, while hit or miss, is at least hit most of the time, rather than the other way around across the street. I stopped shopping at the Men's Store when I'm in NYC. I'll just order on the app and pick up and if something doesn't fit return it on the spot. If I'm spending $$$ on nice stuff, I want the service to fit the cost and at the very minimum, be helpful!

Specifically was looking for recommendations for a beard/mustache product - however I needed some guidance picking a product out. In the past I made the mistake of picking a product my brothers used and realized not all products are designed for all skin and hair types. I explained to Jazmin my prior mistake purchasing products and that my partner is half black and showed a picture to illustrate his facial hair type - so I was looking for a product designed for his skin and hair type. Jazmin could not have been more helpful and showed me two different facial hair grooming kits to choose from - and explained the price difference between purchasing the individual products vs. products as a kit. She was both knowledgeable and transparent. Also, she paid attention to details while not making me feel rushed at all. She noticed when I walked by the YSL colognes that I wanted to purchase a YSL cologne for my BF but he loved certain scents of the brand and strongly disliked other scents and I did not recall which one was which. So I commented in passing "I'll have to bring him back in person to get the cologne". While I was checking out Jazmin dropped some YSL cologne samples in the bag and my BF ended up really liking one scent- so now I know which cologne to purchase! Jazmin did me a great job with the facial kit recommendation, my bf LOVED the kit we chose and his bandmates were a bit envious- one said "my girlfriend doesn't buy me stuff like this after my performances!" You did me a solid!!

She walked my friends and me through several sections of the store to ensure that we found exactly what we were looking for. Ms Corita was personable and funny. He should not represent Macy's while interacting with customers. We were not deterred. Unfortunately we spent tons of time and money on three floors. Many department stores have sadly faded away over the years. Think, B. Altman & Co, Barneys, Henri Bendels, Lord & Taylor, Bonwit Teller, I miss them all like old friends who passed. However, we still have Macy's! - with its annual Thanksgiving Day Parade aired on NBC, plus don't forget Macy's lush Fresh Flower Show display in April/May, and the ultimate 4th of July Fireworks on the Hudson River or East River by the Grucci family over 100 years, now by Jesse Collins Entertainment of the Superbowl halftime shows. There will always be Macy's. Make Macy's your destination even if it's just for the nostalgia. They still have those chunky wooden escalators on the upper floors built in the 1920s by Otis Elevator Company. An Iconic Five stars **Thanks to fellow Yelper, Fawn for the trip down memory lane!**

Has three floors in total in which each floor caters to different categories like heattech + men's + women's + children apparel + graphic tees. There's even a Uniqlo coffee shop on the 2nd floor. A large fake Christmas tree is placed in the center when first walking inside through the entrance. Then, a huge red escalator of heading up and down to each floor is behind the tree. Additionally. everything's either being neatly organized or stacked on most of the shelves and inside drawers except for a couple of areas here and there. The price range is reasonable for most apparel items besides the thick puffer jackets + sweaters + graphic tees. Even though there seem to be signs for the fitting room and cashiers/self-checkout, it's still pretty confusing to walk around and find stuff imo because of how large the Uniqlo space is. I have to flag down and ask different staff about the whereabouts of cashiers as I'm paying with cash. There's a bit of a line for those paying by cash despite several 5-6 cashiers being present while no line at all for self-checkout (card only). No line for the fitting room though. Generally, staff is shown as helpful + amiable + patient in a professional manner towards customers. My favorite section is probably by the heattech area. There're 3 various heattech types of warmth for both adults and children. Of course you can wear whichever layer as you please at the end of the day. All the desired temperatures are simply suitable for preferred reference anyway. The Original (Mild Weather) - 5°C to 20°C or 41°F to 68°F Extra Warmth (Colder Days) - -5°C to 15°C or 23°F to 59°F Ultra Warm (Extreme Cold) - -20°C to 10°C or -4°F to 50°F I think The Original layer of heattech is already pretty warm for the 30s-40s temperature here in NYC. The fabric is the thinnest in material. Very comfy to wear without being too stuffy on the inside. I bought two long sleeved heattech pieces today ($19.90 each). They also come in different colors and styles that might be suited to the personal taste of each and every customer. I'm not sure if they have a restroom for the public, will have to search for it next time...
