Good vibes , delicious menu and there happy hour goes late into the night overall nice experience

Happy hour is Wednesday-Friday 4-7pm, only a $2 discount. The food menu is pretty limited! Which kind of turned me and my friends off, but because we were already there we made the best of it. Order the DJ Rick Sensation (Rum Punch), you won't regret it! For food, we ordered the Wing Platter, Buffalo and Jerk Tamarind. If you like jerk and tamarind, highly suggest trying it! And Jerk Mac & Cheese hit the spot. The ambiance is super cute. Mirrors all over and the bathroom! Talk about IT! I would recommend this spot if you're looking for more of a chill night out. Side note: they offer hookah

Yummy matcha drink!…read more When you walk in you are in a cozy whimsical cafe with cafe inspired interior. There's some seating available , perfect for catching up with friends. Even though they are known for their matcha drinks, I decided to get their seasonal drink instead: Matcha Peach Fizz. Not too bubbly nor sour , there is a good amount of matcha and a touch of peach with every sip. Quick service even though it is busy af.

A great stop on a walk!…read more Kijitora is a really cute cafe and i absolutely loved the interior of the store. On the right side there's a wall of stickers and stationary that I think you can miss if you're not looking. The staff was on top of it, I usually don't order drinks and I had just stopped by here randomly so I hadn't prepared my usual order details and the cashier made sure to clarify everything just in case; sweetened, ice, milk or substitute, etc. And the drink was made on the spot and quite fast I got my drink within two minutes which I found impressive as a line had soon formed in the shop right as I came. I got the hojicha, which I find most shops can't do well. Theirs is really solid though! Not the best I've had but I think it's hard to knock my socks off in general for hojicha and very good compared to the average hojicha Ive tasted in my life. I don't remember there being place for you to sit or if there was it was only one or two places. the shop was a bit small but enough to accommodate a small line inside comfortably.

Polly's is a humble little spot on a quiet tree-lined street. There is a reason this place is so…read morepopular. Delicious iced coffee and seasonal drinks. Their baked goods are the best--their buckwheat scone is mildly sweet and earthy. Their sandwiches can't be beat. I HATE BLT's. They are usually presented as triangles of toasted whole wheat bread with limp iceberg lettuce, barely a tomato and a sliver of bacon with too much mayo. Everything I do not want. But at Polly's...the humble BLT becomes an art form. They get the bread correct first of all--a delicious toasted ciabatta spread modestly with a gently garlicked mayo. Sharp, nutty micro greens and arugula instead of pointless iceberg, thick tomato slices, avocado and oh yes, bacon. That is a sandwich done right. This place is well beloved by the locals so it's best to arrive early if you still want that chocolate croissant!

With a focus on community and comfort, we provide a haven for locals and visitors alike to relax, recharge' As my curiosity leads me to explore new coffee places, the one common thread I see is the focus on community. The cafes, coffee bars and eateries who recognize the need to connect are the real entrepreneurs. Polly's Cafe patrons are sipping coffee drinks made with La Colombe and devouring Balthazar pastries. As I waited to order my cold brew, the conversations ran the gamut from school, work, summer travel plans, catching up. I know I sound like a broken record, but today it is so much more than just grabbing a cup of coffee. It is unwinding, savoring each sip and bite with a friend or partner and just enjoying the connection. Polly's Cafe reminds me of a cafe one would find in the Hudson Valley: small, quaint and offering high end food. The interior is cozy, a few tables and a backyard garden. The menu packs a small punch: hot/cold beverages, breakfast burritos, BLT, salads and so much more. I waited around 10 minutes to order a cold brew, the pastries (croissants: chocolate, everything, goat cheese and herb, ham and cheese, butter, sticky toffee banana bread, chocolate babka crumb cake, brownies)were sold out and only olive oil cake remained. ( I arrived @2pm) I made a mental note to revisit to pack a few goodies to go for a future BBG visit. I don't go to coffee shops, and I was reminded why…read more Drinks: 1/5 We ordered the Espresso Shot 1 and the Chai Latte. The Espresso Shot 1 was unexpectedly sour like the kind of sour you expect from expired coffee. There are special notes including rhubarb, so maybe that was on us to order this shot, but we didn't expect a beef jerky-like aftertaste. My friend could not finish it, so I asked for a replacement shot--the Expresso Shot 2--and the staff were kind enough to offer it to us free of charge. This shot was also just as sour, with notes of passion fruit. There are no other espresso shot options, and both shots are $5-6 each. The Chai Latte tasted just like the concentrates I would get from supermarkets. When I finished my cup and peered at the bottom for any spice residue, I found the grainy texture you'd find in said supermarket concentrates. Service: 4/5 The people were incredibly friendly and welcoming. For a busy coffee shop, they were prompt in fulfilling any special request, such as an expresso shot replacement. Atmosphere: 2/5 This is a cute coffee shop with a warm interior! It has a modern and cozy aesthetic, and it was very pleasant to sit here for half an hour. We were fortunate to even have seating, though, because there was a line out the door and not enough tables for all patrons. The tables were low to the ground and close to other tables. I would recommend this place to people who need a quick shelter from the cold. I wouldn't recommend the drinks to anyone, and the line is not worth it. Final rating: 2.33/5 (rounded down to 2 on Yelp)

They carry beans from DAK Coffee Roasters, which is one of my favorite roasters from Amsterdam, along with Sey Coffee and other roasters known for their high-quality beans. I grabbed a bag of DAK beans, which came with a free single-origin drip. It was honestly great for drip -- clean, not watery, and nicely fruity and juicy. It was pretty busy, so I skipped the pour-over this time, but I'd definitely come back to try it on a calmer time of the week. If I'm looking to stock up on good beans, I know I'll be back at Villager.

It's been pretty humid, so I got a caffe ghiacco (apologies for the spelling if that's incorrect) and a breakfast sandwich. The coffee was absolutely refreshing! It was an iced espresso with almond milk. Simple ingredients but of high quality. And I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. The breakfast sandwich was yummy, too. It was a soft boiled egg sliced in half with cream cheese on focaccia. I get eggs are expensive, but for the price of $13, I wish it had a little more like sliced tomatoes included. You could add meat or avocado for an additional cost. There's a few seats inside, and plenty more outside. The back patio has plenty of tables for 2 people, and a few out front. The group tables are inside. I sat in the back, but noticed a bunch of mosquitos coming out from a crack in the wall, so I moved to the front. I'm one of those who attract mosquitos, so if you're like me, then sit inside or out front. The ambiance on a workday is pretty quiet. Many of the patrons have laptops and were taking work calls. There's a sign stating no laptops on weekends, which is nice. And the people who work there are friendly and efficient. My order came out quickly. I recommend this place if you're nearby and want a really good cup of coffee.
