After happy hour drinks at the bar (if you love beer, you will LOVE the Austrian Stiegl they serve) the three of us shared a table and, depending how you want to see it, three/ four dishes: The garlic bread with the wood grilled Octopus. I find the $13 for the bread a challenge, but it was great nevertheless. For the Octopus, it was a 6 out of 5. Possibly the best I ever had. I am not a fan of celery, but I loved the salad that came with it. Who ever knows me: Guido bragging about salad? No way. Then we had the Vodka penne, followed by a Prosciutto pizza. We are good eaters, but we had to pass on desert, we were full. As I said, we went yesterday, a Wednesday. Featured item on the Happy Hour List: the Burger. I only saw them flying out of the kitchen. Take my word: next Wednesday. Same place. Happy Guido :-) $150 well spent, I can't wait to go again. Great ambiance, and even greater service. We were surprised that an Italian place offered an Austrian beer and also some carefully selected Austrian wines. One of our top Italian restaurants that we always come to. Service is amazing! Super friendly and welcoming! The food is super quality and amazing too! From their Pizza, bolognese and almost the whole menu. Including the drinks. We're frequently here 3-4 times a month and it never has failed us. We have tried almost everything on the menu. Jordan is also one of the reasons why we visit because we've never felt amazing friendly service with awesome energy as always! It matters especially these days. Cheers to her always! After having a very disappointing experience at another restaurant nearby, my mom and I looked at each other and said, "We have to get out of here." We ended up at All'Acqua, and I can honestly say it turned the entire night around. This place was 1000/10. From the moment we walked in, everything was incredible. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is exceptional, and you immediately feel welcomed. They make you feel like they're genuinely happy you're there, which is something that is so often missing at restaurants. The service was some of the fastest and most impressive I've ever experienced. Our food came out in about 20 minutes, which honestly shocked me. We ordered wine, and I don't know if our server sprinted to the bar or somehow telepathically communicated our order to the bartender, but our wine was at the table in less than five minutes. Everything was seamless and perfectly timed. The food was outstanding. We ordered the grilled octopus, chopped Italian salad, and eggplant Parmesan, and I honestly don't know which one was my favorite because they were all incredible. The octopus was unbelievably tender and perfectly prepared. The chopped Italian salad was full of flavor and had the perfect balance of ingredients. The eggplant Parmesan was one of the most unique versions I've had--they don't do the typical thin, breaded slices. Instead, they serve a thick-cut piece of eggplant that is incredibly tender and flavorful. The wine was delicious, the food was amazing, and the service was truly impeccable. So disappointed after ALL the years of support and Money I've spent here! I had a run in with the valet staff, who were more interested in the "out door party" than me who just dropped $250 on 4 take away dinners. We're on a mission to unlock more neighborhoods in our LA adventures. We chose this based on our want for both pizza and pasta. Parking lot is fairly small but we were able to find parking in the neighborhood adjacent to the place. The inside of the restaurant is very causal with great date night lighting. Our service was quick to arrive for drink orders. I ordered the che figata which was a maybe one of my top 5 mixed drinks to date. Our appetizer was the burrata with prosciutto, and we wished we could have just that that for dinner. We shared the margarita pizza, and opted for our own pasta entrees. This review is for the $20 weekday lunch special. I don't know how much longer they're running this promotion but it's incredible!! You get an appetizer (choice of soup or salad), entree, and scoop of vanilla gelato all for $20. The best part is that the entree you choose is a full size normal entree which includes pizza, pasta, or a panini, which can actually run $28+ at normal price! I've come several times and the pizza is by far my favorite choice of entree! You can't go wrong with any of them but the margherita was especially good. The dough is so light, chewy, and crispy and the toppings taste high quality. I've also tried a few pastas, the linguine vongole, orecchiette with Italian sausage, and bolognese. They're good but not amazing, however given the price of the lunch special it's still a good deal to get a full size pasta dish at this price point. I recommend going with a few friends and sharing your entrees, it feels like you're getting so much variety and an incredible price. read more

Bolognese - Tiny, tiny, portion (see photo, quarter for scale). Literally filled less than half the to-go container. 28. American. Dollars. Don't worry, if you could taste anything, it was only briefly. And for a "lamb, veal, and beef" ragu, it's pretty tasteless. A brown unappealing sauce with no onions, garlic, or seasoning. Called them and asked about the portion size and was told "it's probably the pasta, our portion sizes don't change" - about as little of a care as the puny portion that they served and charged me for. Had dinner at All'Acqua and it was such a nice experience overall. We sat on the outdoor patio, which had a great atmosphere -- cozy, not too loud, and perfect for a relaxed evening. The lighting and setup make it feel a little upscale but still very approachable. I ordered the Rabbit Ragù, and it was delicious. Rich, comforting, and full of flavor -- the pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sauce had a nice depth without being too heavy. Came here for Mother's Day and waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for a Caprese panini that arrived with a pale, insipid tomato slice, a few random chunks of mozzarella, no pesto, and falling apart. The side salad was just plain greens with no dressing. The restaurant was clearly overwhelmed and overbooked, but what made it worse was we had no check‑ins, no updates, nothing to hold us over. I loved their vegetarian lasagna verde - especially the fact that they weren't trying to imitate the meat part of the dish (like other places usually do) and instead opted for adding mushrooms. This is definitely one of those dimly lit, date night restaurants where you order a little bit of everything because the portions appear small. But since everything is mainly carbs, you'll feel satisfied real quick. The atmosphere is a little loud on a weekend night, but it's a vibe. Service is really attentive! Autumn farro salad (5.0) Super light and refreshing. I appreciate the layers of crunchiness from the pomegranate and pumpkin seeds which make it a good contrast to the softness of farro. Burrata (4.0) The prosciutto isn't as salty as I'm used to, but I'm probably eating cheap prosciutto? LOL. It was really good though, and it compliments the milky burrata really well. It comes with a fairly small, toasted block of seeded bread that isn't sliced. It's kind of comical when presented together since you're served a plate with a mound of burrata on top of a single layer of prosciutto slices and a toasted block on the side. We ended up ordering another bread block for $4. Funghi (4.5) Such a delicious and savory vegetarian, thin crust pizza. I liked the variety of mushrooms and how the cheese wasn't oozing or gooey, which made it lighter and easier to eat as an appetizer. The only drawback was that some bites were overly charred at the bottom of the crust. I normally don't mind charred bits, I think it adds a nice bitterness to food when done properly, but I think that since the pizza was so simple, the burnt bits really stood out to me. Fettuccine (5.0) I've never had rabbit before so it was a cool experience! The texture is similar to lean salmon and I couldn't tell if the sweetness of the dish was from the rabbit or the sauce. The pasta noodles were amazing and had a tender yet satisfying bite. I was expecting a more sour flavor profile but was pleasantly surprised with how sweet the dish was! read more

He was hustling and very friendly. Food was good. I kinda expected more considering that this place has been in business for so many years. My pasta definitely needed more salt, but it was good enough. I got the 3 course $20 lunch special. You chose from a soup or salad to start, a panini, pizza or pasta for main course and a scoop of Gelato for dessert. I would probably visit again, but only for the $20 special. If you're looking for delicious Italian food, we found one in Atwater Village. The entire staff provides excellent service. We ordered garlic bread that was very fresh and soft. I really liked their marinara sauce. My wife had the Spaghetti Nero with Dungeness crab. She loved it. We also really enjoyed our appetizers, the Calamari and the Cauliflower. The calamari was battered and cooked perfectly. The cauliflower was also great. Just a comment in observation. We love coming here for martinis and something else. But the observation is when a customer leaves a bag or a shopping bag. I recommend that the employees within three minutes don't go through the bag. Maybe they should wait a couple of hours in case the customer walks in and says oh that's mine. I have fond memories of dining at All'Acqua back when it first opened. I stopped going as frequently when I discovered other restaurants closer to where I I now live. But on a recent visit to Atwater Village, I decided it was time to give it another visit. We didn't have a reservation which is a must-have on a busy Saturday night. But we were there early enough to snag a seat at the pizza bar where we could watch the pizzaio plying his craft. We had sat here before in years past and have always admired how deftly they can craft the pizzas so quickly and efficiently. We were brought menus and greeted by a very friendly server. He was obviously very busy with a large group that was seated behind us, but he always made time to check on us. After bringing us a couple of beers, we decided on splitting one of their mouth watering pizzas, based on the suggestion of the pizzaio. We chose the Maiale, which included scamorza, fennel pork sausage, and red onion, but we added mushrooms per his recommendation. We are both fans of sausage and mushrooms so this combination seemed to be a sure fire hit! While waiting for our pizza, we continued to be amazed at his deftness in juggling both the pizza making as well as the wood fired oven, casually bouncing back and forth between the two. I was amazed at how easily he could be making three different pizzas at the same time while never forgetting to watch the oven to make sure everything was cooked to perfection. As he made our pizza, our mouths began to water. It arrived after a few minutes and did not disappoint. The gently smoked mozzarella, or scamorza, had the perfect amount of smoke, complemented by the fennel laced sausage and a lovely sprinkling of fennel pollen on top. The meaty mushrooms added an earthy bite of umami which sang harmoniously with the other ingredients. My only complaints were that the crust was a bit too charred and the dough remained limp. Charring in a wood fired oven is to be expected, but from my observation, the oven was a way too hot, necessitating the removal of the pizza sooner that it should have been. As a result, the outer crust had some badly burned spots and the bottom crust was limp and soggy which required using a fork and knife to eat. While the flavor was spot on, it was a little too messy to eat comfortably. I'm happy to see All'Acqua hasn't changed and I'm certain I'll return when in the area. Their menu, which is much more than just pizza, has changed quite a bit, so I'm eager to dive into their pastas and mains on my next visit. read more
