    Pepp Swayze

Pizza was a 10/10. BOMB ASF. My wife and I got the pepp swayze and I kid you not, finished it in about 10 minutes. Loved how the ricotta is in little dollops throughout the pizza, and the basil is oh so good. And the hot honey is the cherry on top. Will definitely be retuning whenever I get the chance.

Neighborhood pizza joint connected to a general store and across from Verdugo bar. Limited bar seating inside and a few spots right outside, but loved the vibe and cool staff. Pizza is legit with fresh simple ingredients and they do not skimp on the toppings. The menu isn't crazy, but good pizza doesn't need all that. Nice thin pizza that isn't floppy but has nice chew, wasn't bland, and not over sauced. Definitely worth checking them out and they're opened late on the weekends. Also, grab a drink from the general store to enjoy with your pizza. They have a wide variety of specialty drinks.

I enjoyed my pepperoni pizza! I ordered online so no insight on the actual customer service but the pizza is great. I like the crispness of the crust and the sauce/cheese ratio. Will order gain!

Awesome neighborhood pizza place that I wish was here 15 years ago! If you're a soft thin crust lover in Glassell Park, here is your place. I got a veggie pizza on the way home from work and enjoyed every slice of it. The veggie is not your regular veggie - No greens but has roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions and basil! To top it off, they put a little bit of lemon zest which sounds weird but honestly was something i didn't know I would love on a pizza! It's almost as awesome as adding hot honey to pizza! There is a little niche market attached to help get some sides or drinks to take home! I'm looking forward to my future stays! Parking is simply street, can be hard to find parking depending on the day and time.

Not a super extensive pizza menu, but the pizza is very good and reasonably priced. Online ordering thru their website is easy and it was ready on time.

As for style goes this is up my alley and my preference, super crisp and light. Very delicious dough and cheese along with the pepperoni. The sauce is so dam good! The cheese is different and in a great way I haven't had cheese like that before Highly recommend this spot!

Basic cheese pizza. But definitely not basic!

A delicious and unique pizza spot! Pies are thin and crispy with light and fresh toppings. It's kind of like a mix between New York and New Haven style? Also it's attached to a bodega style convenience store where you can get drinks from. I dig it.

Inviting relatively new pizza spot in Glassel Park, with attached general store. The veggie pizza was perfect, great crust, delicious toppings, simply wonderful and the right choice. The service was prompt and friendly. Didn't try the packed dessert choices which seemed a bit less inviting and rather bought some ice cream from the general store.

Located in the heart of downtown and situated on the corner is this little pizza place. It has the real home vibe, which is really comforting. They offer their own specialty pizzas, as well as the ability to create your own masterpiece. The only limitation is your imagination. While they're making your pizza, there's a general store attached to the pizza joint to wonder around through. They have some unique offerings as well, so enjoy your shopping experience.

Ordered park pizza while having drinks at the verdugo bar. food came super quick and staff was friendly! we got a pepperoni pizza and spicy guy sandwich to share. very delicious the pizza had the right amount of everything and sandwich was perfect to share. it was very nice n convenient to order it at the bar and have with drinks! will definitely get again. fair price for the quality of food too (ranch was $2 tho).

A great addition to the neighborhood! Park Pizza offers whole pizzas and by the slice. We were pleased with our pepperoni slices that were fresh and crispy. Definitely worth stopping by for a family meal or quick bite. Be sure to check out the general store next door that has drinks, snacks, home goods, and so much more.

Half of the 14" pizza couldn't wait

Ordered today around 12:30pm got a whole "Marcella" pie. Gahhhh daym! This pizza is seriously good. Price is solid! I feel they fermented the dough very well. Crust is crispy and airy. Toppings were aromatic vs being extremely greasy. Loved the sweetness the caramelized onions gave and the chili flakes kept each bite from flattening out. So happy i have a neighborhood pizza spot. I live a few houses down. The owner owns Verdugo Bar across. Thank you Park Pizza fantastic food.

There seems to be a lot of pizza places opening in NELA lately and well, I love me a good pie, so tonight, we ordered up some grub from Park Pizza, a tiny little shop that opened up near the Glassell Park Pool and comic book store Revenge Of on Verdugo. They offer slices from 12-4pm and whole "14 pies after 4pm. I have to say, these guys surprised me. Their pizza dough is particularly yummy. Light and fluffy with big air bubbles. For all of you vegetarians, they have an especially good "Veggie Jackson" pizza which my vegetarian kiddo gave high marks for taste and creativity. Creative in that it doesn't rely on peppers , think carmelized onions and mushrooms and basil. For the carnivores, they have a really good Pepp Swayze, which I didn't understand the name until I went in the shop and saw the pencil drawing of Patrick Swayze on the wall (awe). It was super tasty, think mozzarella, fontina, parmesan, pepperoni, red onion, whipped ricotta, and hot honey. The pizzas come with 6 big slices and are actually reasonably priced. Oh and next door, is a an eclectic bodega aka a tiny market where you can pick up beverages, snacks, ice cream, sandwiches and more.

    Eaten pizza slice! Soooo good!

The menu was smaller than expected. Our group of four shared the caesar salad, meatballs, pepperoni pizza, and roasted mushroom pizza. The appetizers came out quickly, but the pizzas took a while due to what seemed like a miscommunication. They were waiting for us to finish our starters before bringing them out. The pizzas were easy to share, though a bit salty. The pepperoni pizza also had a few overly burnt slices on the bottom. Service was a little confusing. We ordered at the register, had to flag someone down for water, and weren't quite sure if it was self-service or not. Overall, the food was good and the patio has a great vibe, but it's not a spot I'd go out of my way to revisit.

I'd suggest looking for street parking along 3rd St. if you can. There's also a parking structure nearby. The first time we came, we ordered a whole pie, half supreme and half BBQ chicken. It also came with ranch that tasted freshly made. The supreme was great. You could taste a little bit of spice from the sausage, and all the other toppings worked really well together. I also really liked the crust. It had a nice crunch to it without being too hard. Came back for a second time and got another whole pie, this time half supreme and half white. The white pizza was good. It had fresh mozzarella, garlic, and seasoning on top, and the crust was just as good as I remembered. I think adding something like mushrooms would make it even better. It is pretty cheesy though, so I could see more than one slice being a little too much for some people. The supreme was just as good as the first time. I'd definitely keep coming back. I think next time I'm going to try one of their square pizzas.

My friend and I dropped by around 2 pm and it was bustling. They have a number of pizzas available by the slice in the display, so it was super easy to pick a couple slices and eat quickly before heading out. Most of the pizzas available by slice were vegetarian, with only a handful of meat options. I wish they had the meat lovers available by slice. All slices were in the $5-6 range. We got: -Sicilian -Grandma -BBQ chicken -Spicy pepperoni I wasn't expecting much, but surprisingly I really enjoyed the pizza here. The crust was nice and crispy for all the slices. My favorites were the bbq chicken and the Sicilian (because of the pesto), but they were all solid. My only complaint is that it was a hot day out, and I wish the inside of the restaurant was cooler.

The pizza here is so killer, I was nodding my head(Yes!)as I was eating it. I rarely do this. The crust was so thin, the cheese had great flavor, and the cupped pepperoni added a salty richness. Every bite was chewy and a flavor blast. It makes you wanting more and more.

The…read moresicilian was not cut properly - the top was cut through the pizza but not at all through the crust. The sicilian was also strangely salty as far as the sauce and I don't know why. The regular cheese pie I got, which I assume has the same sauce on it, did not taste salty or odd like the sicilian. Their Monday deal of a XL cheese pie for $15 is a great deal. Now the few not so good things this second time. There is no parking. They have a small alleyway with maybe 6-8 parking spots on the side of the pizzeria. Considering the place was pretty empty when I came midday but the lot was full, I have to assume staff take the spots. No street parking. You're supposed to be able to pull out of the alleyway by going forward and turning into another alleyway that crosses the parking alleyway. Unfortunately, there was a motorcycle someone was working on or just left there so you could not get past the bike and the car parked in the last spot. I had to back out onto the busy main street, which was dangerous. Also annoying is that the menu has zero prices, and it's not like the girl at the counter knows the prices. She had to punch in whatever I asked the price to on her tab in order to give me a price. When I asked how much for toppings added, she couldn't give me a concrete answer. Even more frustrating is that the prices on your bill will not match what you were quoted. I think what they quote is the price plus tax, and then the bill has the real prices and all the tax bundled together at the bottom, so it's near impossible to figure out the cost of each item. Who doesn't have a menu with prices?! I do not like this!
