Love their pizza! We got the Hawaiian toppings yes we like pineapple on our pizza lol and a pepperoni one, both were good. They also have wings and pasta. Come and check them out and support small businesses

Been here three times now - always amazing. Best NY style pizza ever. I have yet to try other kinds because I haven't been able to want any others. Becoming a chill Friday night ritual to order pizza here and eat it somewhere at a park. Ate on the patio tonight and it was cozy and lowkey. The owner is nice and he clearly puts so much love into this food. Such a humble gem in the wall thank you Pizza Cafe for the best way to end a busy week

Large 8 piece Detroit pizza (we already dug in )

Was introducing a friend to Detroit pizza. As someone who has lived it the D, this place doesn't get it quite right. The crust and corners they got down, but they need to pie more sauce on the pie!! Otherwise good flavor. We also tried the honey hot chicken wings. They were spicy (breaded). Good flavor but not my fav. Feel like the breading/flavor to meat ratio didn't work. Not enough meat on little wings. But interesting concept. As many others reported. The lot of very small so parking could be an issue. Lastly, not sure if the older gentlemen there was the owner, but don't think it's in good taste to engage in conversation with what seemed like regular customer about controversial political conversations. Huge turn off for us and between that and the underwhelming taste of the Detroit pizza, we won't be back.

My BF wanted to try a new pizza place and boy...he picked a good one. Pizza Cafe LA's Detroit style pizza was delicious. The pizza crust was pillowy yet crunchy. The sauce and the toppings were on point. Chicken Caesar salad was great as well... love their homemade croutons and their version of Caesar salad dressing. My BF and I really love their buffalo wings... We only got six to try but definitely will order more next time... They were just that good. The only reason I didn't give him a five was because of the location... we ordered their garlic knot (not pictured) and it didn't have much garlic flavor. Also was hard getting in and out of their small parking lot and their prices are a little bit higher than most, but their food quality makes out for it. So we'll definitely be back to try other items.

On ever growing pizza journey that I am on, eating the pies at Pizza Cafe LA is a milestone for me! Delicious! The cracker thin NYC style crust is crispy, thin. The margarita has a much appreciated 2-step garlic process that slightly roasts basil leaves and they have the brilliance to add fresh raw basil on the way out of the oven. This is the craft of pizza design in all its brilliance. Staff are genuinely passionate at what they do and care about customers immensely. I'm coming back until I've knocked out the entire menu, then I'm repeating everything!

Have been coming to this place for 3 years . Love the pizza and the owner ! Unfortunately, the past two times I came to eat here were unpleasant. I recently came when two new employees were working , I waited over an hour for my pizza and was given the wrong order. The pizza was burnt and they forgot the extra ranch I paid for. I spoke to the owner, he was kind and offered to remake it. It seemed like it was very disorganized that day as multiple people were waiting along time. This last time I came, I tried to use a coupon for 15 dollars off ( it said valid until feb 2026 instore or online ) and they did not want to honor it. The worker said it was for the next time I came and online orders only ; he then stated that the owner actually didn't teach them how to add it. They also forgot my extra ranch again :(! Very frustrating, I got that coupon 12/6 and tried to use it later that day . Nothing wrong with the food just the service has declined since the new staff has started. I hope things improve because I really do love this place.

D town pie with pep and jalapeno

Well deserving that 4.7 stars...this place delivers at least on the Detroit style pizza. The crunchy cheese edge makes for a pretty damn good pizza. It was my first time here so I asked the quirky (owner i think)what's the most popular pie and he said we don't have a popular. Well, now you do have a popular at least for me. The Detroit was giving 'most popular' vibes and I would recommend that. He must've warmed up to me as a pizza cooked because he asked how I heard of the place... of course I gave the nod to yelp. Yup it's always on point.

We went here by total chance and decided to give it a go! We spoke with Diego (who I'm assuming it was based off yelp pics and reviews!) and he was soooooo friendly and very helpful when we asked him questions about the pizzas/were indecisive over which toppings to order. Again, want to stress the service here is SO NICE. Diego was such a kind dude it definitely made me want to come here again. He even said "I hope this is the best pizza you've ever had!" T_T We got a make-your-own detroit style pizza with hot honey, pepperoni, mushrooms, minced garlic, and jalapenos. He said they drizzled sauce on after it was cooking (i looooove saucy pizzas!). We really enjoyed it and and will come again. :) also love how freshly made it was!! The patio was also nice to sit at and parking was easy, too.

Diego doesn't just make pizza--he conducts flour-and-fire symphonies in that brick oven. My margherita arrived with blistered crust singing opera-high notes, while the nduja honey drizzle performed bassline sweetness. This isn't LA's trendiest slice--it's its truest. 5-Star Moments: Farm-to-Oven - Toppings change weekly based on what Diego's daughter picks at the Wednesday farmers' market Oven Alchemy - 90-second bakes at 900°F that turn dough into cloud-like miracles Menu as Memoir - Every recipe tells a story (ask about the "Nonna's Revenge" pepper blend) Secret Order: The "Backstage Pass" - Diego's off-menu creation for regulars featuring whatever inspired him that morning. Yesterday? Smoked mozzarella with persimmon mostarda. Why It's #1: They'll never have neon signs or influencer walls--just life-changing pizza served by a chef who still blushes when you ask for seconds. LA's soul lives here.

Hot Honey and New Haven Apizza
    Deidre M.

Had higher expectations with regards to their menu and regional callouts lol. Ordered the "Hot Honey" (honey just melted and made things soggy - not sticky) and their "New Haven Apizza" with mushroom was not crispy or chewy. And although slight different way of cooking the crust - the taste was the same. Pepperoni was cheap thin cupped and overall tasted familiar like your local small town joint or chain restaurant. Not bad but not good. Edible sure but prefer others.

We tried this place for the first time after getting tired of the pizza chains. I found this place on Yelp and thought I'd give it a try especially since they offered free delivery over $50. The delivery was made by Door Dash which was prompt and good. We ordered 3 pizzas and sadly, 2 out of the 3 were burnt. Chicken Pesto: couldn't really taste much since the bottom was so burnt. I was looking forward to this one the most sadly. BBQ chicken: the second burnt pizza. Not as burnt as the first one, but that's all you can taste. New York style Pineapple: the only one that wasn't burnt, but where was all the pineapple?? They were all hidden in the cheese and the tiniest pineapple pieces you could ever imagine. Not worth the price. Overall, I wouldn't try them again.

It was getting late, so while I waited for the kid in the car at their activity, I went on The Heights website found an order form and placed an order for some sammies all in 5 minutes. I didn't even ask the hubs or the vegetarian kid what they wanted. I went with what I thought they'd like. 15-minutes later, I was picking the sandwiches up at the walk-in only shop. There was no line and better yet, they were wrapped up and ready to go when I walked in. The smiling lady asked if I wanted napkins or utensils. They have case after case of cold drinks so we picked out a couple of drinks, paid for those and left. It was easy and fast. Enjoyed the yumminess at home. I normally would save a half for another meal but my "Pasadena" hit the spot that I finished it up all at once. Quality bread, meats, cheese, fillings aka all the ingredients...to boot! PS the kid loved theirs and so did the hub. Thanks for making dinner: easy and delicious! There are no pictures because it was too delicious to take the time out and take any. Just order.

Sometimes the food is a bit salty, but otherwise full of healthy options (10 + kinds of salad and veggie dishes) with decedent choices, too (extra cheesy lasagna). It's a self service restaurant, but also expensive. You set your own table and pour your own water glasses. Dinner for two with beverages is easily $85 or more with tip. There are no refills on drinks like iced tea. The upside of it being self service, is you can hang out as long and chat as long as you like. There is good chance if you do linger that you might order desert or a second small $10 iced tea (with tax and tip). It would be quite easy to spend well over $100 for 2, without table service... If it were a little less expensive, I would be a regular... but if it were less expensive then it would be hard to find a table because that whole neighborhood would be hanging out here.

During a…read morelazy afternoon after visiting the Pantheon in Rome, we had our first experience with All'Antico after taking a 5 minute walk down the road. They actually had 2 separate locations flanking the pedestrian road, so there were two long lines snaking out in opposite directions. While we were waiting in line, we bumped into a couple from Spain who were also visiting. They gave my wife some personal recommendations, advising we get the blood orange soda with our sandwiches. After getting said sandwiches (the La Paradiso), we nibbled on them while walking to Sant'Ignazio of Loyola Church, which is that cathedral where there's a mirror directed up towards the murals on the ceiling and a huge selfie line. Hot damn were those sandwiches good. The thinly sliced mortadella paired perfectly with that buttery, green pistachio spread. The only challenge for my taste buds was the mild oral trauma I sustained from punching through the crispy bread; your gums started to feel it by the time you devoured your sandwich. But we liked it so much that when we later took the train to Florence, we sought All'Antico again at their original location. I thought that would be my last experience with All'Antico (unless, of course, I came back to Italy). So imagine my surprise when later that year I heard All'Antico had coincidentally opened a branch in Los Angeles, although rather awkwardly situated in Koreantown. Even though we live 30 minutes away, we made the drive immediately. There was no way this remote All'Antico location, thousands of miles from Italy, would live up to the experience I had in Rome earlier that year. But I was mistaken. Not only is the taste spot on, but the bread they serve is actually chewier and removed the gum calisthenics I suffered in Italy. And yes, they also have the blood orange soda as well. It's a little weird their location is in Koreatown, but not a big deal; we'll usually do a bingsu run afterward. Just like their locations in Italy, All'Antico is small but they do have a small collection of bar seats, some of which overlook the staff as they're making your sandwich. Be mentally prepared though to take it to go depending on how busy it is. Parking sucks too; there's street parking only, but if you come on Sunday you don't have to pay. Every so often now, we'll make the 30 minute drive just to relive that slice of Italy we experienced nearly 2 years ago. Thankfully, not a lot of people recognize how good this place is yet, as the lines aren't crazy long like they are in Italy. For all the other Yelpers in on it too, let's keep it our little secret for now.

Lunch rush came around 1:30pm. The workers were kind and helpful, each working diligently to complete everyone's order timely. Loved to see how they only use focaccia that just come out of the oven, and they cut your sandwich's meat from the meat hunk on an order basis. Very fresh, never greasy. I thought the Dante and Mamma Mia could improve by adding just one more ingredient as a cherry on top, like a sort of nut (walnuts, pine nuts) or something that helps the sandwich spark. Would love to see a bit more arugula too. No public bathroom--closest one is probably Hmart across the street (needs a code). Parking is metered, but there's free neighborhood parking 1-2 blocks away if you're able to find a spot. There's a few seats (5-6) and a standing bar around the perimeter of the store.
