Uncooked veggies added to my pizza slice. I didn't like that

I'm just a girl from Chicago loving pizza but I was disappointed in my experience here. Some may love it, but this just isn't for me a deep dish, authentic pizza girl

This Za hit the spot! Not only was it a perfect palate holiday cleanser but it was some of the best tomato sauce I've tried on pizza since Mozza. We went with a traditional cheese pizza and it was perfection. I truly had my very own Kevin McCallister moment last night when we tried Garage Pizza. It was so good, had to order some more today!

Great New York-style pizza! The Annihilator has a delicious thin crust and a generous mix of toppings (meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni). I was impressed by how well-balanced the flavors were without being too salty. It's the ultimate pizza to have with a beer. Love the harmony of flavors!

Margherita pizza

Wow one of my fave pizza places for sure, but I've only tried their margherita slices and it's really good. Big slices. Will come back to try their other pizzas.

Big slices for big prices and solid flavor. The ingredients themselves are good quality, and it's cool they let you choose your own topping for slices. Slices came out quickly and hot, employees were cool and the place was really clean.

Ever since I was a small child, I've been coming here for the pepperoni and mushroom slice. I love how it's so flat and it just comes out so good every time. service is pretty fast and the ambiance is very grunge.

Did they discontinue Monday Madness Pizza Discount?

No. We just had to raise the price so we can stay in business. Thanks!

What is the indoor and outdoor seating like? Is the outdoor seating available after midnight? How large is the indoor space?

Do you sell by the slice?

Yea they do ! I believe it's about 4$ a slice and they are huge slices .

Is anything vegan?

If I recall they had one option the night I went.

The Caesar salad was probably one of the best Caesar salads I've had. It was light, crisp, and refreshing without feeling overly heavy. We also had the crudo, which was excellent, and the burrata with tomatoes and crispy bread -- so simple but so good. Everyone at the table was loving it. But the pizzas were definitely a highlight for me. I love the square shape and that thick, crispy dough. And the chili oil they give you on the side is SO good. Such a great little touch and definitely something I kept going back to. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a really nice patio and a lovely indoor space. The staff was friendly, they have a great wine list, and we had a delicious Blanc de Blancs sparkling that paired perfectly with dinner. Overall, De La Nonna is just a great restaurant for a relaxed dinner with good food, good wine, and good company. I'm glad I got to come back because I definitely appreciated it even more this time around.

The dough was extremely soft and had a texture more like sliced bread than a properly baked pizza crust. The service was also questionable. The cashier didn't seem familiar with the menu and was trying to handle three different things at once, which made the whole ordering process feel disorganized. Overall, the atmosphere has potential, but the food and service didn't live up to it.

The ambience is very metallic which perhaps goes with the overall car theme of their menu. Staff is always attentive and orders are ready promptly. A great decision for ang DTLA night out.

Visited 01/2024…read more Pretty unique car themed restaurant in DTLA! Pi LA serves la style pizza, which kinda reminds me of Detroit style pizza. Every pizza on the menu is based on a retro car with the restaurant's interior decor to go with the theme!! The lovebug pizza with potato gratin, onion confit and ham snow (aka shaved ham), was my fav so far. The ham snow was was a really nice touch! (Half $10) I need to have a shout-out to their chili oil sauce on the table. I often see dry chili flakes at pizza places and the chili oils at Asian restaurants, but they went pretty well with the pizza! Not 100% what's inside of them but they have a pretty good herb aroma with pine nuts. (Low-key interested in buying a jar but didn't see any being sold on the way out.) Got a Caesar salad ($10) and it was actually the first time I had it with the leaves whole and not chopped. For desserts, the s'mores pi ran out so didn't get to try it... But the chocolate chip cookies ($3) and dulce de leche brownies ($5) were bomb! Even better when they are warmed up. Though both of these do get pretty sweet (to me) after a few bites so be warned. Parking was hard cuz DTLA but I think might be able to drive into the alley for pickups? Crossed posted IG.

They were all really good, but the Saint Barb stood out to me. What really made the night, though, was our server, Jayson. He was super friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to accommodate our friend who's vegan. He really made the whole experience that much better. Servers were also very friendly and the interior is cozy and clean. Parking is street parking, good luck. We arrived 5:15pm on a Saturday (15 min after opening) and we didn't get reservations so we had to wait one hour to dine in. We could have gotten it to-go, but there's only 1.5 tables outside where you can stand and eat in front of all the people waiting. Even after getting seated and ordering, it still took a while for the food to arrive. Seating is tight inside and my partner & I were seated at a 4 seat table next to two women, so we couldn't help but listen to their entire conversation about going to therapy & problems with their moms. The princess cake is good but I'm not sure what the hype is. I don't think it's worth $15... I would just stick to the pizza if I come back. I do have to say the pizza is very greasy, so much that it did end up hurting my stomach, but I still enjoyed each bite.
