Excellent pizza with very high quality ingredients. Large slices as well! Cheech's is a super small restaurant located in Los Feliz. It's definitely easy to miss with only two small circular tables outside on the sidewalk and about two tables inside the restaurant. Parking is metered street parking. Coming on a Saturday afternoon, this was not an issue and I easily found street parking in front of the restaurant. I ordered their lunch special which is daily (even on weekends) until 4 PM. Their lunch special goes for either $13 or $17, depending on if you want one or two slices of pizza. It also includes either 4 wings, mozzarella sticks, fries, or a side salad. Also includes a drink (eg canned soda). Honestly, considering how BIG these slices of pizza are, this is a pretty good deal. Slices here are typically $6 for cheese with 50 cents per additional topping. Honestly, I was pretty surprised by how good this was. The slices of pizza are made to order with the toppings you want. These slices are huge by the way... one slice is easily two slices at other pizza places. You can also tell these ingredients are high quality. My girlfriend got a slice with artichoke hearts and they were so good. I opted to get the buffalo wings too with the lunch special and... oh my god... these were so good!!! I highly recommend eating it there because the wings have such a delicious flavor and are SO juicy and crunchy when you first bite into them. I was so shook. I will be back! We've been coming here for years. We love that we can customize all of the pizzas. So happy that they have anchovies because not all places carry them. The S'more's pizza is my daughter's favorite. The workers are all so nice. The owner especially, she is the sweetest, so fun & very welcoming. The whole place makes you feel like you're at home. Everything is so nice inside. I perused their menu and decided to get their Lunch special #2 (two slices of pizza, choice of two toppings; a drink, and a side). It was my first time on this cute pizzeria. I was given a complimentary two extra slices of pizza. (Thanks!) I enjoyed their thin crust tomatoe and basil pizza, and their crispy tender juicy chicken wings. I got the spicy Buffalo wings extra crispy and the potato wedges. This meal is one of those meals that makes you appreciate life! I believe this is a family run business and both the workers I've seen are super sweet. They will offer to put your sauce on the side for the wings or toss it in. The wings are so delicious and the meat literally falls off the bone. I'm not even a huge fan of potato wedges, but these ones were perfectly crisp on the outside and the herbs/parmesan was such an amazing touch! Cheech's was the spot for me in the 90's and they're still the best pizza in all of LA for me that I'm happy to make the trip from the west side for it (even if that means sitting in traffic for an hour LOL!). It's mostly a takeout place, and their dining area is small and far from luxurious (no AC, fyi), but we couldn't really be too picky at that point. I saw with surprise that they had vegan meatball subs (extra star for that), so I went with that (with real cheese) and the hubby had the cheese calzone. I got a soda (no alcohol also). On Mondays you get a slice of cheese pizza (basic cheese over tomato sauce) for $1.50 which I thought was a good opportunity to try a slice with some extra toppings. I was astounded at the generous size, and got it beautifully loaded with jalapeno, artichoke, and sun-dried tomato resulting in a $3.50 final tab. While the crust is not Napolitano, it is quite biscuit-like and holds its own. More to the point, they have a good tasting dough mixture, with a hint of sweetness. I appreciate that its not too "bready" and thick. I prefer sourdough fermentation sure, but this basic pizza crust works fine. What I like is that the slice was good value for $3.50. I'm not a snob, and I do like an old establishment with a mom-and-pop local owner vibe, who keep a business going in an era when capitalism has eaten most small businesses and insists on fake-glamorizing food. I like my food served with heart and there's a little rustic feel to this little hole-in-the-wall. The toppings were generous and delicious. All kinds of herbs, crushed red pepper, and parmesan available to pile on.
