A real neighborhood joint that's family-owned. It's definitely a level above the chains, and a good alternative if you're not willing to spend money on more "upscale" pizza. It's great quality pizza at a more reasonable price. Parking is easy since its in a plaza with its own parking lot. The supreme pizza here is my go-to. What do you do after spending a no break/4 hours round trip of exploring the Angeles Crest Highway? You search for a good spot to eat. I randomly took the San Fernando rd. exit turning right and found this spot in the middle of a strip mall of restaurants and neighborhood shops close to the exit. Small takeout place and thought they were a chain but was happy to hear they were local and family owned. A good amount of pizza offerings as well specials -2 slices and soda under six bucks as well whole pizza specials. I asked the friendly young man if their Calzones were good. He said they were. Alright then, Pepperoni Calzone it is! Just the right size with a great balance of sauce to cheese and pepperoni. I noticed there wasn't a side of marinara as we get on the east coast but I said to myself this must be west coast style so who am I to question? Excellent Calzone and I didn't need any Marina for dipping! I can only imagine the pizza would be just as good. For sure a local's favorite as they had good traffic around 5 pm. Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but one step in and it's a very nice clean pizza parlor. There's never a long wait. The employees have always been polite. I think we eat here a few times a week. Their special of 2 slices for $5 is a best lunch special around. You can call ahead to be sure they have your choice in slices hot and ready. I should preface that this isn't the type of pizza I typically eat, being I'm from Chicago, but I was more than excited to try it out. It kind of reminds me of New York Style, a good thin crust with good flavor. I just was missing a nice crispy crust, since it was floppy and required me to hold with both hands. But that could be just the fact that I got a slice from their hot and ready that was warmed up. It was still super tasty and such a deal for just like $3. I also tried their flan which was really good, you get so much for $3 again. My only complaint about the flan was that it was more on the runny side and kind of melted really quick, but that's a preference that I like my flan a bit thicker in custard. Overall, the place had a bunch of options and I definitely want to try their freshly baked pizza sometime soon. I do want to mention I really appreciated the employee working there being honest with me. I only get an hour to take my lunch and he let me know if I wanted the potato wedges, it would take 15 minutes to make, so I decided to pass due to time. Had personal pan and veggie calzone which were really great. Only thing that I didn't like was the taste and size of the beef and that the calzone was a bit messy because I guess the juice from the sauce was coming out as I was biting into it. Save your money. Absolutely asinine that they are charging $17 for 12 (very subpar, clearly frozen) wings. I went here two times in five days. I ordered the same thing both days. One day it was $29, the next it was $37. The first day he gave us ranch, 1 tiny container per 6 count of wings. This time I politely asked for it and he just said "we don't do that anymore." From five days ago?! Bruh. Like I said, asinine. They also treat your customers like crap.
