*I know I reviewed this place before. It's so annoying when reviews disappear. This mom & pop pizzeria has been in the neighborhood since 1977. I supported them during COVID much like many of the local residents did. In addition to pizza they also serve salads, sandwiches, pasta, & garlic bread. Recently, I was at a friend's house for a holiday celebration and they ordered some pies from here - Cheese & Margarita. (Their spelling.) I loved the crust with it's thick & chewy ends. The cheese was also exceptionally good. The sauce was a bit on the sweet side, which I don't remember it being sweet, but I still enjoyed the pizza overall. The Margarita wasn't a traditional Margherita, perhaps that explains the spelling. They were both good. I'd order again. read more

Old school since 1977. This hidden neighborhood gem is off the beaten main path. I ordered a 12 inch pizza half mushroom and the other side garlic since there was two of us sharing and with two different tastes. It took around 15 minutes to receive our order and we sat down on their patio area to eat it. The pizza was good but could have used a bit more mushrooms and the dough was okay. What can I say this is a stable in (NELA) North East Los Angeles I've been coming here since I can barely walk my family has hit this spot for 40+ years and it never fails! The service is always great especially when ordering over the phone or in person they're always kind! I ordered through Grubhub cause I know live in East Hollywood and I was hoping they were on the service and boom their they were it brought joy to my pansa (belly) lol. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza I would've gone large but gotta watch the carbs. As always the pizza was perfectly cooked with their fresh ingredients and their homemade sauce is a must! It be niece to eat at the establishment again someday cause highland park is the first place I touched down when we came into this country and this was the first pizza I ever tried. Love this place and hope the family keeps it going for years to come. The area is getting a makeover the place is chill if your trying to have a date with your significant other and the hospitality is always good. What a miserable experience. Our two pizzas arrived completely demolished. All of the toppings had slid off and were leaking out of the boxes. When I called to tell them I was told "once the pizzas leave, it's not our responsibility, it's Slice's. Call them." And then the person at Fidel's just hung up. After a hard day of hauling and cleaning out a unit, a mom-and-pop pizza sounded down right perfect! First time ordering at Fidel's for delivery from the Slice app. Tried the 18' Deluxe and 18' Meat Lovers pizzas and Hot Wings. So freaking good! The dough was deliciously amazing with the right balance of toppings. From the bottom crust looks like it was baked in a traditional open oven. Will definitely order from this joint again if in the L.A. area! Service was great, delivery came right on time, Fidel's got our order right. Thanks Fidel's for satisfying our craving! Ps. I recommend you go to this little mom n pops pizza joint, order a pie and eat it piping hot out the oven right on their patio. We got a medium, which had 8 large slices of mushroom, olives and delicious lumps of sausage. It was delicious. They sell no booze but the owner told us he allows beer and wine if you bring along or buy from the liquor store a few doors down from this pizza joint. read more

OG pizza since I was living here in Highland Park in the 00s. Loveeee the melted cheese. The crispy of the bread. I personally love the Milanesa torta here. Can't go wrong with that. Decent neighborhood pizza joint. Got a medium half pepperoni-mushroom half pepperoni-jalapeno ($16). The crust had a nice crunch. The sauce was was a little sweet. It was a bit soggy in the middle though. They didn't skimp on the toppings, some are under the cheese which I liked. And just as important, it tastes good in the morning after popping in the toaster oven. They also have pastas and garlic bread on the menu so I'll have to give those a try next time. Service was fast and friendly. There's a 15min parking spot in front and street parking up and down the block so it's easy to get in and get out. Cash only, they have an ATM machine. read more
