All Set is one of my favorite restaurants in the DMV! Consistently delicious! Service is always great and the restaurant is super cute with a lot of seating. Good- Food was delicious. Tuna and Salmon in the salads were perfect. The cornbread was yummy. Would have liked to see more breakfast options on the menu at Sunday brunch time, but what we had was good. The waitress was prompt and helpful. The decor and settings were very nice. Bad - Staff needs serious training. 1. The runner dropped part of my salad (hard boiled egg) onto the bench next to me and then picked it up and put it back on my plate. (Yuck!) The manager saw what happened and removed the dirty egg from my plate (with his hand and without asking me) He apologized and did at least bring out two fresh egg halves soon afterward. 2. When we were mostly done our meal, the bus boy interrupted the tables's conversation to offer water. My husband (who was sitting next to me in the booth) and lifted his glass to be filled. I was treated face full of sleeve, right over my food, in order to fill the water glass! The bus boy should have walked around the table. So I ignored that lack of training and I tried to restart the conversation. BUT, the bus boy in his serious need to provide water RIGHT THEN interrupted me again to ask if anybody else in our table of 4 wanted water. I looked down at the 3 remaining half-empty glasses. Could we have lasted the meal without more water? YES. Was it necessary to interrupt me again ? NO. He should've just gone away or silently filled the other glasses (no drought here) and let the conversation continue. Or perhaps the water glasses could have been refilled when the entrees were served? (My son suggested that I speak to the manager at the time. I would have save for a knee injury which limited my movements for the last week. I was happy just to walk in and out of the restaurant!) I hope training occurs and this lovely restaurant continues. Had a pleasant late lunch at the All Set Restaurant & Bar. The music was at a good volume, staff was nice, and service was relatively quick. I had the fish & chips which was a decent portion, two of the fish pieces were decent quality and good but the third was oddly chewy and had a thick skin, it seemed notably lower in quality. The fries were decent and I will say I liked the tempura batter on the fish. A friend with me had the smash burger and a salad... the salad was a bit simple and wilted and the burger was unimpressive. Overall I will come here again to give their other dishes a try and will revise my rreview after a few more times! Three stars, nothing exceptional about the ambiance, food, or prices... but nothing that drives me away either. Extremely mediocre. Service was abysmal. Went this past Sunday because its just about the only place in the area with last minute reservations. The hostess was fabulous. Our server was very nice but either high or hung over. It wasn't busy at all and the service was either slow or non existent. $48 for a 7oz lobster roll...never received the butter i asked for so I continued to eat so the lobster wouldn't be ice cold. Speaking of which...the coffee is good but if you add cream , even a little, you'll be drinking iced coffee. The cream was near frozen. So couldn't enjoy a piping hot cup of coffee either. Decided to stop in after seeing it on TikTok and being in the neighborhood. Sat at the bar and was serviced by Janae. Let me preface this review by sharing that a kind manager offered me a full refund the next day. So, you ask, why is it a 2-star review? Let's dive right in. We arrived just a few minutes after their noon opening. It was mid-week but there was already a splattering of folks seated at tables. That, along with their rating here, seemed promising. We were seated out front. At the time, there were two other tables seated in the section. A couple of minutes later, the section's server announced herself and said that she would be taking all of our orders at once but didn't know who arrived first. An older couple was quick to wave her to them. She took her time with them, was very friendly, and then moved on to the second table. She was a little more rushed with them but still pleasant. By the time she arrived at our table, she was frazzled and just wanted to get the orders in. I literally couldn't even finish ordering my steak and cheese. I was trying to tell her I wanted a side of fries, but she jumped to ask my boyfriend what he wanted to eat. I then chimed in and asked for the fries, she wrote it down, then turned back to him. I then chimed in again asking for a side sauce. She then turned back to him. She had not given me time for a drink order, so he asked for coffee, and I chimed in asking for coffee as well. She then ran off. SUPER bizarre ordering experience, but okay. The first table gets their drinks. The second table gets their drinks. The first table gets their food. The second table gets their food. The first table is wrapping up their meals. And we did not yet have our coffees. I looked inside and saw the server chatting away with a large party at a booth, so I waved down another server and asked for our coffees. He was confused. Another server came out. We asked for our coffees. He was confused. Eventually, our meal arrived. Still no coffees. Alas, by asking again, we got our coffees. The OG server then came back over glad that we got our coffees and explained that they were simply slammed with just two of them there (we saw more, but okay). Not an apology in sight. If she came over explaining that and also apologizing for the delay, I would've understood. As for the food itself, it was okay...at the time. My steak and cheese was pretty bland, but the feta mayo side was quite tasty. My fries were good also. My boyfriend ordered the brisket, but he was given a sauce he didn't want with it since he wasn't given time to fully order. He sucked it up by dipping his food in my feta mayo also. Props to that feta mayo. Then it was time for our check. It came in a little billfold. I was planning to treat, so I put my CC down and it was taken much faster than our coffees took to arrive. It came back, I signed it, and the server asked if she gave me my card back. I assumed I put it away on auto-pilot and she checked the billfold. It was not there. So of course, we walk down to the metro station and when I go to pay, my card is not there. I called and Bill answered SUPER apologetically. Turns out she had not given it back to me. Partially my fault for not checking, I know, but still annoying. Then, as we were partway to DC, I asked my bf if there was a restroom in the metro. Nope. We hustled to our next stop and BOTH of us were immediately very sick. It was atrocious. I won't go into details. The next day, when I retrieved my card, I relayed all of this to the manager on duty and asked him for a refund for the coffees. That's when he decided to comp the bill. All told, while I appreciated that action very much, you could not pay me to return. read more

Stopped by here before a concert at the Filmore since it's just around the corner. The inside has an elegant Boston-feel and the outdoor seating (although a bit limited) is nice with heaters. They weren't too busy when we were seated but our service was still slow. Our waiter ended up attending to other patrons instead of us--which he ultimately apologized for but it prevented us from ordering during the happy hour time frame. Our favorite thing we got was the cocktails! I had the chickpea fries which were delicious and a different type of thing! The sauces they came with added a nice flavor too. We split the cesar salad which they were nice enough to splint on two plates for us. It was good but nothing special. I visited All Set after having a pretty busy day, wanted to have a nice solo date. I sat on the patio which was clean and had outdoor TVs. I ordered oysters which came out quick and fresh. I ordered a burger and fries which came out hot and were tasty. Food and service were great, would highly recommend. Just keep in mind that there isn't any dedicated parking so you will have to park in the garage which is a 3-4min walk to the restaurant so not bad at all. read more

I visited All Set last Saturday with a group of my girls for our annual New Year's gathering and I must say the food was VERY good! We ordered a bunch of appetizers as well as entrees. Everything was good but what stood out the most was the SMOKED WINGS and SKILLET CORNBREAD! Those are definitely a must try! The french toast was delicious as well! It's not very convenient for me to get to (I'm in VA) but it's probably a good thing because I would be there quite often lol. Came here for brunch on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. The interior is cute and bright, with nautical style decor. Their brunch menu is pretty small, tried the smoked salmon avocado toast which was good. Side salad that came with it was pretty basic, like the spring mix you'd buy at the grocery store. My partner ordered the French toast and enjoyed it, though the presentation wasn't impressive. The old bay wing appetizers were good- crispy outer shell and tasted great. We ordered a mimosa pitcher for $43, overpriced for the value. While it was enough for two people, it came in an ugly plastic pitcher and you could only choose one flavor, which was disappointing. Our waitress did a good job of checking on us but when we ordered a side of scrambled eggs, the eggs that were served were clearly egg whites with white cheddar- and waitress simply took it off our check, and didn't offer to bring out the correct dish. Probably won't be back for brunch. Suggestions for improvement: Expand the brunch menu, create a bottomless mimosa special, allow customers to order different flavors if they get the special. read more

I came here on a Saturday night for dinner with my husband and kids. We had reservations, and we were seated promptly. It wasn't too crowded. Our very nice waiter came over to take out orders. I started off with the Caesar salad as my starter, and the Hi Bish cocktail. The drink was absolutely delicious. I'm starting to get more into gin cocktails, and this one was on point. As for the salad, I was happy to taste that it was real Caesar dressing. It may have even been homemade. The brioche croutons set everything off nicely. The entrees took a little long to come out, but everything was hot. I ordered the Texas brisket. The presentation was beautiful, and the portion size was deceiving. You get a lot more than what it looks like. I was able to take home leftovers. I can't tell you how many times I have passed this restaurant and I didn't even realize it. I've heard many good things about their brunch so I decided to finally try out their Sunday brunch. I made a reservation beforehand but I'm not sure if that's mandatory but I highly recommended because they get packed quickly. The restaurant had a really clean and welcoming decor that was really family friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Although there were a lot of people in the restaurant, it didn't feel too loud or overwhelming. I ordered the chicken and biscuits which was really good. My favorite part was the cheddar sriracha biscuit. It had a berry-ish flavor and I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese and the Perfect Storm drink which I enjoyed. My friend ordered the blackened ribeye and eggs. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely go again to try their dinner menu. They also have specialty happy hour events that I would like to try out. I wish I hadn't left my phone in the car because the plating here was beautiful! A friend and I picked this on the spur of the moment for New Year's Day Brunch! We walked in without a reservation and were seated right away. Even before our server came by, one of the other servers greeted us so warmly as we sat down. Neither of us could make any decisions, so we really leaned into our server for help with the menu. For drinks, I ended up getting the Provincetown, while my friend had the hi bish. Provincetown was very refreshing. I was initially hesitant because I don't love ginger, but it was a faint note and not at all overpowering. The hi bish was definitely stronger with its ginger flavor. We then started with the tempura vegetables, and we swapped ranch for the bleu cheese dressing, which our server also agreed was the way to go. Crispy, crunch, and warm as it arrived on the table. There was a little kick, despite my best efforts to avoid the jalapeños. Nothing I couldn't take though. We left the jalapeños that we could find on the plate. I had the tuna nicoise for my main--and they hit it out of the park. Deliciously seared tuna. Lovely dressing. (Olives pulled out just because) The rosemary potatoes were not overly rosemary. I would have preferred if the potatoes had been a little hotter given the salad, egg, and tuna were cold, but that's if I'm looking for things to complain about. My friend had the Lobster Roll which was overflowing with lobster meat. It looked delicious, as did all the other plates that we saw being carried past us to other tables. We finished by splitting the deep fried oreos. You get 7 oreos in the order, which was way more than we bargained for. They had clearly just been pulled out of the fryer. Looks like things are getting back to normal because it was packed! I heard about the recent addition to this restaurant - they now serve bbq so I was excited to try it. I ordered brisket with a side of mac and cheese and to be completely transparent, I didn't care for it at all - was very bland, way too fatty and the sauce I had (north carolina) didn't help. The macaroni and cheese was also very bland and a bit "watery." I had the Harvard yard cocktail (basically an old fashioned) and it was so tiny. Like did they forget to add more bourbon? The best thing I had while there was definitely the SKILLET CORNBREAD! So soft sweet and a great texture! However the biscuits were confusing to say the least not great we sent them back. The wings were good needed some blue cheese and didn't care for their house blue cheese. Overall we had a great time ate good food and will we be back? I've eaten here twice, once for dinner and another for brunchand both times I wasn't impressed. Most recently I order chicken wings and I didn't really enjoy it. This isn't how I typically enjoy wings. The chicken itself didn't have enough salt and then all the salt in the form of old bay was on the breading. I only got this because I had low expectations and didn't want to spend to much money for food I wouldn't enjoy...glad I did. Everything was amazing from start to finish. The staff was so accommodating to my large party of 16. Jen, who I believe is the manager was so helpful and responsive with my concerns and she even helped with a fixed menu for my daughter's birthday. Our server Sophia was amazing as well. My party consisted of mostly teenagers. She was so patient and personable with them. Everyone enjoyed the "Pretty in Pink" mocktails and cocktails for the adults. It was really good. My favorite cocktail out of the three I tasted. The old bay wings and siracha cheddar biscuits were fan favorites. The ambiance was nice as well.
