I used this caterer for my husband's 50th. Everyone raved about the food for weeks. Thanks, Mr. George and team.

I tried to contact them about a catering event but they never returned my call or emails. Too bad.

SLOPPY JOES!! 'Member them? When's the last time you had one? Don't feel like cooking it? Well @neatmeat is the good truck that HAS them...that has perfected them!! Their menu is super simple and effective!! There's the Joey Melt ( which I mistook for their Stay Classy Joe) that comes with ground beef brisket in their special tomato sauce, honey caramelize onions, and classic American cheese (pictured-$10), their Pesjoe that is chopped chicken marinated in a Italian pesto sauce topped with a sun-dried tomato sauce, and mozzarella (pictured-$10), and their Miso Joe which is vegan, and is a mixture of tofu, mushrooms, and eggplant topped off with a spicy carrot pineapple slaw (pictured-$10). The Joey Melt was refreshing, and nostalgic to taste. Blended well with those caramelized onions, and honey, this is the upgraded Sloppy Joe you didn't know you needed in your life!! When you visit them, you MUST try it. Y'all that chicken jont!!! STAMP!! You tasted each ingredient in this sandwich. This is something you've never had before!! Get it!!Now the vegan joint was straight savory, with a meaty consistency. I don't even like slaw, but that pineapple carrot slaw made the flavor of this sandwich stand out. I also copped their Mac n Cheese (pictured-$4), bread pudding (pictured-$4). The Mac n Cheese was decent, and the bread pudding was delicious with that raspberry sauce that brought the whole meal together. Now on their website they have many other sandwich options like A Turkey club joint, a jerk chicken sandwich, and a all lamb Joe. Ok so there is no address to this spot, it's a food truck that sets up at events. To keep updated on where they're at visit them on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. You won't forget this spot when you go...cause I know you're going to go!! Well I am definitely satisfied, and cannot wait to try the mac and cheese plus other items on the menu. The jerk is spicy and flavorful, jerk you would not expect to have from a food truck! I am loving it. The portion size was on point, as was/is the freshness. I tried the 1/2 and 1/2 -- a little tooooo sweet for me, but the food made up for it! Neat Meat for the win!

Because I've not found real Louisiana boudin anywhere else in the DC area, and because of the family's hospitality, I will give them 4 stars. The Jambalaya Shack is a catering business that was present at this past weekend's Breaux Vineyards Cajun Festival. They're from southern Louisiana, and seem to get invited to cater many of their events. They had jambalaya, corn maque choux, and boudin links. Because I was waiting on live boiled crawfish from another vendor, I decided to just share a link of boudin for $5. Their young boy said after I ordered, "Sure! You have to ring the boudin bell!" So I did, while his mother laughed and wrapped up a link for me. She made sure I knew how to eat it (I did), and I asked her if it was spicy or not (she said not at all...probably due to the DC clientele...but that they were good and that they shipped them straight from Louisiana). They also had an assortment of mild Cajun seasonings and hot sauces. It was not the best boudin I've ever had (that one goes to the Boudin King in Louisiana), but it was slightly better than the boudin I can get at the grocery store in Texas (but bigger). The Jambalaya Shack's also had good amounts of little liver pieces in it. I wish I had had hotter seasonings (cayenne chile powder would have been awesome) to spice it up with... I wish I had also tried their namesake jambalaya, but it was the chicken/sausage variety and other than the boudin, I was in the mood for seafood. I do think I was the only person I saw at the festival that tried the boudin (or probably knew what it was). Speaking of seafood, the other caterer's boiled crawfish was bland, and Jambalaya Shack was nice enough to let us have some of their seasonings. They saved the day.
