Self checkout lanes
Tina F.

I stopped by this store while I was in the area to grab a few things. My usual Aldi's is in Clermont, 30 minutes away. I like this location because it is so visually spacious inside and usually has all the products I need. The produce is the first section you walk into. It is set up similar to a Trader Joe's produce section, in size and appearance. After picking up more than I had planned on getting, which is my usual here, I saw the self-checkout lanes. There are 4 self-checkout registers. They were so easy to use. You don't even need to take the items out of the cart. Just point and click with the handheld scanner. I definitely prefer this to the attended registers here. You can't use the argument that you prefer the human cashiers because let's face it, they really do not talk to you anyway as they race through scanning your items, tossing them in your cart. Using the handheld scanner, I can confirm the prices and make sure everything is handled with care. I knocked off 1 star because there weren't any staff at the registers when I was there. They may have been close by but I didn't see them. Not that I would've used them after seeing the self-checkout lanes but others might have.

GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SUBSTITUTE AMAZING
Wendy B.

WANT GIRL SCOUT COOKIES ALL YEAR????? We usually shop for produce and basic groceries at Publix and Trader Joe's and dry goods at Walmart. We get/stock up on organic chicken breasts on Tuesday at Fresh Market and Whole Foods for specialty items such as Bee Pollen, vitamins, etc. I really wasn't thrilled about adding another stop to our list but... I've heard of Aldi forever but the quality of food is extremely important to me so I dismissed Aldi fearing it would be terrible. My guy said Trader Joe's and Aldi is from the same company so it peaked my interest if the products were the same. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos about Aldi & decided to give it a try. Yes! You must have a quarter to get a cart. I never have cash anymore so secured my quarter before I got there but lucked out with a cart someone left with the quarter in by the front door. I thought ok off to a good start lol. Yes! I had my refrigerator/freezer and regular reusable bags with me which I try to use at the regular stores anyway but at Aldi you must bring your own. Walking in - the store is spacious and open. I forgot to take pictures of the actual store while there. There were several people restocking and a couple of them said hello and asked if I was finding everything ok. I have mixed feelings of the produce. The garlic looks great and was very cheap but I'm holding my excitement until I use it. I had bought garlic at Sprouts and although it looked great - it was the worst garlic I've ever seen once unwrapped so I'm optimistic but will not be surprised if it's horrible! I'm a believer of you get what you pay for. Some of the produce looked great and some... well I would not have taken even if it was free. The prices for the produce I did purchase were fantastic. When we got home, I destemed the organic baby spinach and it just didn't feel as crisp as I thought it should, however the cilantro was great. I found my biggest score soon.. someone had told my man that their cookies were Girl Scout Cookies in a different package. I'm a fan of the Samoas ( Carmel Delight- I think they are called now). I count the days down until I can get them - as you can only buy the Girl Scout Cookies once a year. I usually stock up for a while and buy everyone around me the cookies! Well down the first aisle- there they are... I couldn't wait to get out of there to try them - part of me was hoping they were not the same because God knows I do not need anymore junk food in my life but... YES I CAN CONFIRM if they are not exactly the same in a different package- they are as close as you could get - if blindfolded there is no way you would know!! They are not going to help me get rid of my quarantine 15! Next up, coconut macaroons! Hands down, the best I've EVER HAD!! They are worth the trip. Junk food is not what I should have been buying but OMG they are Heaven! The cheese section is what had mostly interested me from what we had been told. Well it was a small section but once again great prices. I bought sardines and tuna for the outside stray cats we feed which were cheaper than Walmart. The wet cat food for our in house cats looked to be pretty good so we bought a couple of cans and will see if our babies will eat it. $.40 cents a can verse $.60 at Walmart - great to save money but I think the ingredients are better so double score. They had 2 aisles of random house junk. Would have been a lot better if they had groceries instead of house junk. Im sure they make more money of the house junk then the cheap food. Rest of refrigerator and freezer food was not appealing to me except I did get some bacon for $5 that's $10 at Publix. Overall store was clean, staff was friendly, prices are amazing however there were only a few food items that met my expectations to take a gamble on trying. Besides the cat food ( which I will have to review at Trader Joe's next time to see ingredients and price) and the cookies - I wouldn't make a trip to buy anything else because although I appreciate the lower prices my time is more valuable. The store is in the opposite direction of our other stores so for us we couldn't justify the time for the special trip. If it was closer I'd consider it more. I think this is a classic example of you get what you pay for - which is fine - I didn't expect anything fancy. Overall I feel 3 stars is fair since I would give Trader Joe's 4 stars for the simplicity but it's limited, Publix 5 stars since I love that you can get everything in one place if rushed on time, Fresh Market is 4 stars considering I don't like that their bakery uses a lot of preservatives that I feel are unsafe - especially at a place called Fresh Market, and Whole Foods 5 stars although pricy - I do like many items there I feel are better than anywhere else.

Spacey spacey! What Groceries! I love picking up fruits and veggies from Aldis. The selection was plenty and seemed fresh Environment Right in the plaza beside Windermere High School. Stand alone building with plenty of parking available in the lot. The interior is nice and spacey! Definitely not the typical Aldis I have been to. Looks very modern and nice. Niceness of the staff The staff was nice. Didn't have any special encounters. Dollar Typical Aldi prices. I like their fruits and vegetables. Especially the fruits! Yes? I would definitely shop here if I am in the area. I do have another one that I am closer to.

My cheese board haul

Went here for the first time this week and I was very impressed. This location is MUCH nicer than the (Almost) downtown Winter Garden location. This store is big and beautiful inside with lots of nice offerings at great prices. The other location made me feel like I was in a discount store, while this location felt more like a real grocery store. I was specifically there for items to make a nice cheese plate and I was NOT disappointed. Wonderful cheese selection at great prices. I also found some great wine at good prices too. I will definitely be going back for some regular grocery shopping. If you've never been, just know that you do have to have a quarter to use the carts and you have to either bring your own bags, or buy bags.

Tons of milk options!

I've been wanting to try Aldi for the longest time after viewing grocery hauls from TikTok influencers that I follow. My husband and I finally went on a Saturday morning around 9 am and lucky for us, it was not packed. There are three things to remember when coming here: 1) Bring a quarter! When you enter the store, you will notice carts are chained up and to release a cart you have to put a quarter in. You will get the quarter back when you return the cart. I've heard that in the event you don't have a quarter, an employee will be happy to provide one. 2) Bring Reusable Bags! When you checkout, the cashier will not bag your groceries. They just scan and put the items in the cart. You can purchase a reusable bag if you forget your bags. After you checkout, there is an area where you can bag your own groceries. 3) Apparently on a Wednesday, they restock items and have new selections of certain products. This location is quite spacious and very clean. The only thing I did not like was the produce section. Bananas are spotty and some of the onions are starting to rot. If you do buy produce, just thoroughly inspect it. They have good deals like avocados for 0.39 cents and a bag of red onions for $1.89. There are many knock off brands or generic brands that are priced lower than what you would find at Publix. They have a large selection of breads, buns, and flatbreads! In addition, they have some unique german chocolate bars along with dove, m&ms candy as well. If your vegetarian, in their frozen section, they have some great veggie burger offerings! I also liked their take n bake pizzas. We got the cheesy bread and it was pretty good! Our overall total was under $45. I'm still a Publix snob as I'm sucker for bogo deals but I would definitely come back here again!

Whenever I need something in a pinch, I always stop to Aldi. The only thing I wish they would do is organize their aisles a bit better.

I ended up having a little cheat day and enjoyed a delicious soft serve with fresh strawberries -- it was so good! The staff members were very friendly, especially the cashier who helped me at the register. Her smile felt so genuine, and it honestly made me want to come back again. I even decided to pick up some peanut butter while I was there. The store was very clean and well organized, which made shopping comfortable and enjoyable. This trip, though, there was absolutely no Disney involved -- and we finally stopped here on our way home Sunday morning. I feel like you know you're getting older when you get excited about grocery shopping. Normally when I go to Publix, I'm irritated before I even get inside. But this place? A completely different experience. Walking through and seeing all the locally grown vegetables and the meat selection -- clearly labeled as hormone-free and without all the extra junk you get at typical grocery stores -- was honestly mind-blowing. The prices were so reasonable I couldn't believe it. I purposely brought a cooler for the two-hour drive home, and even with everything I bought, I didn't spend over $100. If I had purchased the same items at Publix, I'm convinced I would've been close to (or over) $200. Beyond the prices, the quality and overall vibe made it so enjoyable. You're not breaking the bank feeding your family, and you feel good knowing you're getting better-quality food. The staff was incredibly sweet and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I was looking for boneless chicken, and one of the employees asked if that's what I needed. A few minutes later, he came back with multiple packs in his hands to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I really appreciated it. One thing to know: the produce and meat sections are in two separate, unconnected rooms, so you check out separately in each. And if you're still riding that high from all the money you saved, there's soft-serve ice cream outside with seating -- which just makes the experience even better. For someone who truly despises grocery shopping, this was actually fun. I will absolutely make a special trip to Orlando just to come back here -- and next time, I'm bringing a bigger cooler.

I initially thought Orange World was a fruit market because of the citrus stands outside; however, once inside, I realized it was also a gift shop. There was a large selection of citrus-themed souvenirs, Disney-themed souvenirs, key chains, mugs, plush toys, and so much more. I was informed by a gentleman who works there that the fresh citrus (navel oranges, tangerines, honeybells, and grapefruits) can be sold individually or in a bag at a reasonable price. Citrus fruit samples are available for tasting. There are also citrus trees available for sale as well. I was really amazed by the sweetness of the honeybell orange, which I learned was a cross between a tangerine and a white grapefruit. I ended up purchasing one of them and a tangerine. That was a very unique experience. Will definitely come back and visit again.

I decided this summer today was the day I'd finally step inside and see what it was all about. I was pretty underwhelmed when I went inside. I wasn't expecting greatness, but I was expecting more orange-related foods and objects. It felt like 60% to 70% of the store was filled with knock off Disney paraphernalia. I figured it'd be a tourist trap and it definitely is. I checked it off my to-do list and browsed the place but I didn't find anything worthy to purchase.

They are a grocery store but the emphasis here is on convenience. From the cut up fruit, extensive prepared foods, large butcher counter, liquor, snacks and a huge cheese selection this store is the antithesis of Walmart. An interesting fact is that Cencosud, a Chilean retail giant, owns 67 percent of The Fresh Market. This store has lots of beautiful plants and flowers at the entrance but lately seems like everything is crammed together. There is rarely a wait to checkout because they have plenty of helpful employees. Fresh Market does offer daily loss leaders like the Tuesday chicken breast and ground beef sale but generally their prices are not as competitive. They sell limited grocery items but presently have 3 aisles of candy including bulk Jelly Belly products and Dubai chocolate bars. Do not shop here when hangry. In the past I was a big fan of their deli salads, specials and weekly family meals. Shop before 6 pm to get a good selection in the deli. The TFM Bakery is very popular for their quality and they often have a sale where if you buy a pound of deli chicken salad you get 4 large croissants free. Lately I go to Costco instead of TFM because I can find a larger variety of items, their prepared foods are priced competitively and food is available until closing.
