Expired havarti cheeses were being sold for 50% off with a expiration date of April 10,2026. Whole raw milk ( not fit for human consumption ) is selling for 16.99 - 21.99 a gallon; which is significantly more expensive than other raw milk sellers in lake/ Orange County. Meat prices are listed as $/lb; but all frozen meat beef, chicken lamb, duck, pork only comes in more than 1 pound packages.They sell more prepackaged foods in Plastic than glass or paper packaging, than they did in the past. They have 1 small bison, 2-Emu, 2-Bramaha cows, 1-llama(recently sheared), ducks, and chicken to look at and pet if you want to. Sadly it looks like end stage Capitalism is happening at Lake Meadow Farm too. They seem to be more interested in profits than they do in customer satisfaction and customer service. They carry lafermière yougurt at 5.99 a container while target charges $3.19, and a instant charges $3.49. On on a sidenote, they do have little placards along the walkway from the parking lot to the store where you could put your child's face on a picture and show them as being a cow or a farmer if you choose. in retrospect, they used to always be expenses but now they're just ridiculously expensive. I hope you enjoy this review and if Lake Meadows wants to continue in business and not go under, they may wanna look at investment brokers to invest in their farm so that they can sell off the property and then close it off for a profit.

Plus its fun! 4Roots Farm came across my IG feed and immediately, yes, had to visit. It is located on John Young Pkwy, off of E. Colonial Dr. There is plenty of parking. It is so pretty. As soon as you drive up you can see all the different types of flowers planted and growing along the driveway. Zinnias, dahlias, sunflowers & marigolds. As you walk up towards the vendors there are many more flowers, herbs and trees planted. There are flower, juice, tea, mango vendorsand the farm stand outside. The farm stand has lettuce! So happy to see lettuce. Peppers of every kind, mellow star shishito, poblano, cubanelle, jalapeño. There were not much tomatoes. But there was squash, ginger, potatoes, a variety of mushrooms, okra & green beans. Inside, in there class rooms there are food vendors, sweet things like marshmallow treats, jams, honey, spices, sourdough bread. They have jewelry & other knick knacks. They hold classes where they teach gardening & eating anti-inflammatory, creating moss balls. I was gifted a chocolate mint plant and a giant branch of Hawaiian Molokai purple sweet potato to plant. It's a fantastic program and though I love an IRL farmer's market, I don't have the ability to go weekly. The delivery fee is under $10 and so far every week has provided plenty of produce that has challenged me to cook more and eat healthy, farm fresh veggies! Highly recommend checking out their CSA program and trying it out. You can skip weeks, cancel, add one-time items (like amish butter!!), etc very easily from the website.

Also loved the tent sampling all the dips -- they give you pretzel sticks to try as many as you want. They were very tasty. We brought the whole family out today and it was SO HOT. The only bummer is that there's like zero shade coverage and the sun was brutal. We couldn't stay very long because my toddler was getting overheated. We'll likely go back once the weather starts to cool down.

All of these are from farmers or more artisan businesses and it's a great way to support local. Pricing is going to be more premium - if you're looking for deals, look at a chain store and not here. I bought a half dozen of premium chocolate chip sourdough cookies to share with my folks for $18. (Pricey but delicious and they were fresh - no preservatives or additives you find in generic grocery store or mass-made cookies.) The staff were friendly and working to stock the store quickly. I was originally referred to 4 Girvins by the owners of Everoak Farm and started ordering their eggs, meat & produce. It's so easy to order online and have it delivered to my doorstep! But now the convenience is even better because I can stop by the farm store on any day that I need to grab a few items. It has also helped introduce me to other items they sell - like their sourdough cinnamon sugar bagels, Musgrove dairy butter, and 2nd Breakfast mangoes! It's nice to see the different cuts of meat - from chicken, to pork and beef - and knowing they are all locally raised using the best farming practices. This past week I picked up a large whole chicken for $34, a flat of eggs for $18, various herbs like sage, thyme & rosemary for $2 each. The prices match the quality and the investment you are making in your health, the environment, and your local economy. For me, it's a worthy investment. I frequent the Audubon Community Market on Mondays and if you're a fan of that market, you'll love this farm store! It's located right next to Kelly's ice cream and Chiffon Culture bakery - both wonderful local businesses - sharing the shopping plaza with other gems like The Owl's Attic and Coro. Parking was easy, free, and conveniently located to all the festivities which is a huge plus. This is also one of the few local markets where I've actually seen a large selection of fresh produce and and farm goods available. It was refreshing to see so many people bring their market bags on wheels, wagons, etc. ready to purchase fresh fruits & veggies and support our local farmers. Beautiful watermelons, tomatoes, papaya, lettuces, corn, peppers, zucchini, and more. There's a good mix of vendors ranging from jewelry and handcrafted goods to food trucks and specialty food items. We got mango coladas, mango flower with tajin, breakfast tacos, and of course, kettle corn. Huge plus that there is the downtown splash pad for all the kids to play right in the middle of all the action. It was a HOT one and this was a great way for my little guy to cool off and burn some energy while we sat and enjoyed our food. If you have kids, I highly suggest they wear their swimsuits and bring some towels to dry off.

We picked up some very reasonably priced produce from Ace and some raw milk pesto cheese from HOC. I was disappointed that by 7:30pm Olde Hearth was out of most of their breads but the woman working the tables said she planned on bringing more next time. The woman representing Bee's Knees was extremely friendly and cheerful. She had 4 varieties of mini-cupcakes, of which we picked up 5 for $4.
