We always love coming here but because it's on the other side of town, we're not here nearly as much as we would like to be. The produce is always very good, but I will say it is best to get there in the morning when they're putting all the produce out and it's nice and fresh. We went there specifically looking for watermelons, which was fine, but a lot of the produce that had been out had been out all day so it didn't look nearly as good as it normally did in the morning. They have several watermelons and if you're like us, we hate paying $10 for a small watermelon that you'll find in a local grocery store. Good for some things, not good for others. I have gone once a week usually. I find sometimes the items a little past their prime. Such as the Chinese eggplant yesterday, the romaine once before and the tomatoes usually are bruised up. Somewhere stuff is really good. Lemons, limes bulk garlic and the fresh shallots. Not a lot of fresh herbs all the time. I usually go to another place for those. Best local grocery store for fresh produce by far. I got a big selection of peaches, corn, sweet potatoes, grapefruit, red and yellow peppers too! I love how they label which things are Florida grown too. The grapefruit and tomatoes I bought have been the best I've had in a while. They also have fun selections of pickled things, honey, and even some side dishes you can make too. Prices are decent and taste better than what I've been shopping for lately at Aldi. You can really tell everything is fresh there. The workers are friendly and offer assistance too which is nice. I will definitely keep coming back for fresh veggies! read more

Confession - I look at produce departments as an indicator of the people who live in an area. I was driving past and had to go in. Much of the produce looked 'rough' but was priced in the low range for the items. I love that. Who cares if an orange has an ugly peel? You don't ea the peel? And it costs the same to grow , pick, pack, transport and retail an ugly orange as a pretty one. So it should be a little cheaper but not free. Really liked their approach to produce. If I lived here , this would be in my rotation of grocery stores. read more

(UPDATE) Wow, Clemon's Produce has really renovated with shelvings and more variety of products! Clemon's really care about their products and customers because they put some descriptions of their produce. Overheard a customer say something along the lines, "You all did an amazing job! Love what you have done with the store!" The owner (I believe) thanked the customer and said they love their customers. The staff sometimes chat a bit with the customers, and I thought that made the shopping experience strengthen my pride for Orlando businesses. More snacks, and other dried goods can be found here, even salad dressings. I overheard the owner saying he is very picky on where he buys his products. The produce are also rinsed very well!! Staff is friendly, store is well-organized. I like going here because some of the produce is locally grown. They buy local honey, and products from an Amish family business. There are other items like popcorn, grits, some Bob's Red Mill flour (like almond), coconut oil, dehydrated veggie chips, some seasonings. I love that we have a few fab local grocery stores that offer you an alternative to the big chains that may have every fruit you could ever want, but never ripe and always carrying a HUGE carbon footprint (if only in transportation!). Clemons is my spot for picking up local produce and finding new fruits and veggies I may never have thought of using before. The staff is very friendly, and the people shopping are too, so I've definitely chatted with folks who looked like they knew more about the produce than I did. I also love the fact that they carry other goods including meat, cheese, canned goods, nuts, and sweet treats. Much of this is Amish and there's nothing better than a big roll of Amish butter. Literally nothing. Nothing is better. Overall, this isn't your one-stop shop for every whim, but it's got you covered for ripe and ready produce and perishables. read more

Shop small and support local business! We have loved Clemons Produce for ages. The variety of produce here is incredible, there is a good chance you will find things here you have never heard of. While the variety is incredible, the prices are just as good. You can come here and get so many amazing fresh items for a great price, I am always amazed at check out when the total is presented. Many of the items are local or purchased directly from farms. There is also an Amish deli and the store and the meats and cheeses they have available are some of the best. My suggestion is to go order your meats and cheeses first then go shop for your produce. They will have the items ready for you after you shop for your produce. Years ago they used to only accept checks or cash, but within the last couple of years, they started accepting Credit/Debit cards. Do note there is a $5 minimum for Credit/Debit card transactions. read more

Clemons has nearly all of the produce, veggies, bottled and deli items, flowers, herbs, etc that you might need and at good prices, although not everything is moderately-priced, nor the freshest, as I learned from experience. There is an incredible array of local produce, including Florida honey, seedlings, citrus fruits, and more. I came specifically to buy hot peppers and there must have been at least six different types and levels of heat for me to choose from. The deli is considered "Amish style" and there is an Amish "wilkum" (welcome) circle on the wall, something you might see in Pennsylvania Dutch country. Shopping here ever since I have lived in the area. I would rather buy my fruit and veggies here and at a few other small produce stores in the area. And I make it a point to stop in at least once a week. Especially when I prepare to make a salad at home, and I have a head of lettuce and no tomatoes. What is a garden salad without tomatoes? It's like my friend Lee would say, "What is a sandwich without chips?" And in recent months, Clemons has both to offer after going through some renovations and adding more packaged products. I do not buy potato chips and other snack foods, but I do like tortilla chips. And Clemons has some good brands in stock that you may not find at larger chain stores. There are more sauces, jellies, jams and preserves, and salad dressings available. Clemons also carries a brand of Amish made egg noodles from Millersburg, Ohio, which is not far from where I grew up. Grab a bag or two of these for the pantry. They are really good. Trust me on this one! Especially on the extra wide egg noodles. And Clemons is carrying bakery items again, which I am glad to see. Located at the deli, there are several different breads available, as well as bagels. I like being able to buy bread made by a small bakery and not have to go to a larger, more crowded supermarket. Clemons Produce has been a part of the community for a long time. And even if you do not live nearby, it is worth visiting if you are in the neighborhood. The quality and the prices of their product makes it worth shopping here. There may be times when there may be a wait at the register. Especially when a cashier rings up a purchase, only to have the customer remember that they left their wallet in the car. Uuummm....... But it is worth coming here for quality produce. And they are a few doors down from Charlie's Bakery. Which is a win-win. Something healthy, and something for the sweet tooth. read more

I have been eating much better since I started shopping at Clemons. They don't wrap everything in plastic like Publix! Non-GMO amish popcorn, awesome microgreens, different kinds of mushrooms, and Gluten Free necessities, and the best beef-steak tomatoes! And potato chips made in avocado oil! It's somewhat of a rarity to fall in love with an establishment after just one visit but I have to admit; it happened. From the moment I walked in and found all the produce organized neatly, descriptions on the tags AND they tell you what farm it came from; I knew Clemons was a winner. I'm just upset that I didn't know about them sooner. I kinda went crazy grabbing stuff, and what I considered a huge treat was finding muscadine grapes. Do you know how hard it is to come across this variety? Not to mention they were selling corn grown in North Carolina and I have to say that it was the sweetest, most delicious corn I've ever tasted. I bought some Alabama King fine ground corn meal here as well and made corn bread using the kernels of the NC corn, and it was an amazing afternoon snack with a cup of coffee. Prices were more than reasonable and as if things couldn't get any better, the workers here were super helpful and friendly, seriously; pay this place a visit. read more

Even though I get a weekly box of fruits and vegetables delivered to my home I still like to visit a few of my favorite produce stores. Clemons is at the top of my list. They have been open and serving the community for as long as I can remember. I like supporting small businesses that provide above average product at a fair price. Clemons sells the freshest produce in the area and supply as much as possible from local farmers. In addition to fruits and vegetables they stock other useful items. I mostly add their honey and nuts to my shopping list. The store is clean, organized and the cashiers are always pleasant. I have never had a bad experience here. read more

It's been 4 or 5 years since I have been here and coming back was.......ahhhhhh so pleasant. Always clean and never smelly, prices....sweet! They have ALL your favs plus some variations but nothing super exotic. Fine by me since I'm not a gourmet chef just a gourmet eater. The farmer fresh feel definitely lives at Clemons. Since my last visit, there is a all deli case. Can you see my tastebuds doing a happy dance? The deli meats & cheese are Amish. The prices reasonable. Oooh and green onion cheese - come here mashed potatoes. Interesting items were lots of ( dried) home made pastas, yummy snacks & spices oh my. There is also a wall of honey, or maybe I was dreaming that because they wanted like $7 a jar? Anyhooo- don't know why it's been so long since I've been. Can't wait to go back. Some of my friends had mentioned Clemons before and i'll admit, it took me a while to actually check it out. It's a produce store with some other items such as honey and dried beans. Most of it is local which is wonderful in my opinion and the prices are great too. It's a great spot if you like to stear clear of the big box stores and shop for local products. I got cucumbers (2), a pepper plant, a watermelon, oranges (4), apples (2lb) and 1 head of broccoli for $16. Afterwards I went to Home Depot for some other items and I looked at their veggie plants just out of curiosity. A small (3 inch pot) pepper plant was the same price for the 1 gallon pepper plant that I had just bought at Clemons. Quality on everything I've eaten has been great, no complaints! Local, family-owned produce place. I can't believe my luck after having moved to the area to find such an awesome spot to find my produce. As a vegetarian that does a LOT of cooking at home, I started noticing that after splitting my list and buying all my produce here instead of the regular Grocery store, I am now saving around 20% on my bill! Regardless, I love to support local businesses and this is one of my favorites. They not only have great produce but locally farmed "Happy Chicken" eggs and a SLEW of Amish canned goods, butter, etc. Tip, bring your own shopping bag and if you are alone and buying a lot of stuff try to park close. You can't take the basket to the lot (GOOD! Because people are not nice about returning them). Great service, also. You just have to stop by if you can. It is worth it! read more

I called and they were so pleasant to deal with that I ended up buying fruit and veggies for a couple of weeks partly because they offered to put it in our trunk with no other contact (we're seniors so that's important) and of course also because I was confident they would select the produce well. Locally grown produce is the best in the city, when it's in season. The bins at the front of discount produce from fresh harvests are especially great. However, when produce is not in season locally, their standards for it can be lacking. Off-season bins seem to often contain vegetables that are already starting to rot, so make sure to check them carefully yourself. During the winter, you might be better off going to walmart for things like lettuce or peppers. read more

Great local produce market. They have all your staples plus some really interesting things. For example today they had Brussel sprouts still on the stalk and a wide variety of beans, plus little kiwi fruit berries. In addition to produce they have cage free eggs, yogurt, cheese curds, bacon, deli meat, and a large assortment of pickled veggies. They also have raw honey, dried nuts and fruits, popcorn and other snacks. They also have dry pasta. For a long time they were cash or check only but just recently they started accepting credit and debit. Woohoo! I follow them on Facebook as well to get updates on what they have in stock. Monday's are probably the worst day to go as everything is all picked over and Mr. Clemons doesn't get a new shipment until Tuesday. Also, the carts cannot be taken out of the store so plan accordingly. read more

I think Clemons is how I want a produce market to be. This is my go to neighborhood produce market, mostly because I live nearby. If you have to drive a ways to get here, it'll be worth the trip. Good quality vegetables and fruits at low prices in a clean store run by nice people. What more could you ask for? They have clearly marked the items that are locally grown or organic. Want to save even more? They have a shelf of less than perfect veggies at half price! In addition to fresh vegetables at better prices than the supermarkets, they have recently added an Amish deli where you can buy meats, cheeses, and "home baked" style bread. Like the produce, the deli meats are top quality and priced better than Publix. Be sure to bring cash or a local check. Debit and credit cards aren't accepted here. Stopped here today for the first time to pick up some veggies for recipes. Upon entering, I noticed a cashier staring back, her face looked pained- like she hated being there, no greet at all, so a little awkward. I mustered a hello to her, grabbed a basket and moved on. Inside, the produce redeemed! Several rows of great looking and well priced produce! Quite a few veggies and fruits you typically don't see at a grocery store.
