Good-looking dragon fruits @$4.49 per lb.
Paul L.

Fancy Fruit continues ro bring new exotic merchandise in, and yes there is a noticeable difference between this and the other one in Altamonte Springs (price, variety, and quality of produce) and I continue to prefer this place, despite a recent incident. I posted a picture of a totally empty bin where oranges at $2.49 used to be. Two stories here. One, the outrageous good deal I often find here with my favorite fruit, which, despite the sign, look, taste, and eat like California oranges. In this case, the bag was almost 4 pounds, with a count of 6, and every one of them perfect - no one else even comes close to that price or quality. Two, this is a huge bin, which means there is a long stretch before it dwindles down to nothing. Sure enough, despite appearances, they hadn't sold out, yet; when I asked, they brought out a cart full of them. How many sales did they lose already not being well stocked? Who's watching the inventory!?

I love me some fresh veggies. And supermarket stuff just won't do. If you live in the east Longwood/Sanford/Casselberry area, you should check this place out. Tomatoes, yard long beans, artichokes, papayas, bitter melon, Chinese eggplant, yucca, and much much more. They have an incredibly wide selection of fruits and vegetables at low low prices. Its sometimes noisy and just a bit cramped, just like any good third world market. I like this place, I think you will too. Its in a strip mall on 434, just west of 17-92, across from Albertsons. [And there's a Colombian bakery next door...]

You can buy beans by weight.

The store has a wide variety of produce and fruits. The problem is that it is not all fresh and the prices are more than the food is worth.

Good fruit (for the most part) at really good prices. You can save a lot of money by going here as opposed to the grocery store.

The prices for the imported dry goods is insanely reasonable. I've looked some of the products up online and they were a third the price. Fresh spices, produce and frozen good selection was the best part for me. This is a place I have drove past so many time but now will make a staple. The customer service was friendly and they were stocking more fresh produce while I was there. You have a request, just ask and they will see if they can get it for you. If you're looking to eat. On those days it's like I just picked it from my garden. The customer service can be exceptional. Most of the employees give great service. However, there is one employee who seems to get testy as she seems to allow her moods to rule how she interacts with customers. She seems to be selective too, as I've seen her treat some customers badly and others well on the same day. She use to be nice with me until one day she accidently short changed me. When I brought it to her attention, she denied it. I smiled and said, "Well it's only a few cents anyway. If you find your register is over at the end of the day, you'll know where it came from." I had given her a quarter; she counted it as a nickel. It's very immature and unprofessional and petty to hold such a grudge, thus I couldn't give 5 stars. But I don't let that stop me from enjoying the good qualities of shopping locally. We are blessed to have a family run produce market in our neighborhood where most of the service providers take pride in their quality goods. They even have a few organic options.

There is a mix of food and beverage, vendors, arts, benders health and wellness vendors. Would I really like is how friendly a lot of the vendors are. And that they work together. For example, hoots and Mary bread actually promotes the Sanford cheese stand. And vice versa. While this farmers market is very small, it still provides for the things that I could use at home. They do have a vegetable and fruit spender that has reasonably priced vegetables such as $5, a bowl for potatoes, the tomatillas, onions, squashes, and so much other things. Amount of samples for the fruit so you can try before you buy. They've got a plethora of Chili's to spice up your food. Plus this farmers market is inside of a park next to the fire station and across the street from the police station. So I've never felt more safe going to a farmers market in my life. Definitely one of the farmers markets. I'll be venturing to more frequently.

Flippin' DELICIOUS!…read more Last week when we were at the Orlando Farmer's Market, Lisa D took a sample of the Spinach Pesto Organic Hummus but didn't purchase any. Throughout the rest of the day she kept talking about it. So, this past weekend I sampled it as well. WOW! I should have purchased a gallon it's so delicious. Need I say more? Okay... Dark leafy spinach, organic pine nuts, organic lemons, organic sweet basil & Italian herbs, fresh parmigiano-reggiano cheese swirled into creamy organic garbanzo beans. Sooooo... when we got home I dipped wheat thin sticks in it, YUM! However, later that evening I wanted to use the mushrooms I purchased as the market too but I have cream cheese so I opted to use this hummus in it. WOW, WOW, WOW! So delicious that I had them again last night. I can't wait to try more flavors!!!

It was just great to see her smiling and enjoying her talk about all of the foods she grew up eating. All the foods she ate were all right here in this supermarket. I don't remember the names of the foods we bought but I must mention that the pastries were very tasty. There is a little bakery inside the market with layered sheet cakes and pastries that are a must try. We grabbed few pastries--- each one with different ingredients. The cabbage one was my favorite.
