This Albertsons is located in the Quaill Hill shopping center. This store has its pros and cons. They have a really good low sodium turkey that I love. The flowers I have purchased here have never really lasted past a day or two... Pavilions has a 5 day guarantee on theirs, so I go there instead now. They dont have the cat litter I use.... and they always seem to be super low or out of the pre-cut veggies that I go for. They have amazing homemade tortilla chips and a decent fresh 7 layer dip. Their cookies are fantastic, too. I could go on and on, but the store is clean, the staff is friendly if you catch them at the right moment, and thats about it. If you park off to the side of the store near the end of the parking lot its way less chaotic! read more

I come to this Albertson's quite frequently because it's the closest one to my work. I love the service here, and what's even better now is that they just installed Self-Checkout!! Pretty cool! I've been waiting for this one and I'm glad it finally arrived! Also, the parking lot has plenty of space too during the day, so you can always find a space near the store. Love coming here! read more

I call this "the good Albertsons" to differentiate it from all other Albertsons. What an amazing store - yes, it keeps its shelves full of everyday items, it also has unique and unusual items that I'd never expect to find - but what makes this a 5 Star store is it's employees. Everyone from the produce folks to the butcher and deli attendants to the cashiers and baggers are super helpful and knowledgeable about their store. All employees are friendly, professional and wonderful people. It's my favorite store read more

I have enjoyed shopping at this store for years! It's not even close to where I live, and I travel to get here. It's that nice! Their selections are wonderful and very well stocked. read more

I accidentally dropped an item on 3/24 which made some noise but did not break or get damaged while two employees (male and female) were standing next to me by the dairy section chatting about vacation. I picked it up right away and made sure I didn't cause any damage as I was very embarrassed by the entire thing. The employees went quiet, gave me a dirty look, then the female employee says to her peer "I am ready to go on vacation again although I just came back" while both are staring at me. He validates her comment, they chuckle then she walks away. Extremely unprofessional. read more

Great supermarket. Good variety of products. Some of the staff are friendly but others are just ok. The space is spacious and clean. read more

An awesome place to shop. Lots of elbow room, special VIP customer service with an outstanding Manager Ken Gold overseeing everything. The store is like a Gelson's with Gelson-like international offerings. The shelves are spotless with fresh produce frequently being replenished. The store is clean smelling and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. It is nestled between Shady Canyon and Quail Hill in a ravine-like setting. read more

I shop at this Albertsons every 1-2 weeks for my groceries. The store is very clean and organized. I think they have a good item selection in every department and their bakery items I have tried so far are great. The employees are friendly, always asking me if I need help with anything. As I was checking out one day, they stopped me from buying a 20 bottle case of Bud Light and told me that they had a better promotion going on. Turns out it was cheaper if I bought two 12 packs, and the bagger guy brought it to me so I didn't have to walk back to the beverage section. Imagine that, they were helping me save money! They also do a great job in removing all the shopping carts from the parking lot. Don't you just hate it when you drive somewhere and have no choice but to park far away because there are too many carts in the parking stalls? My only complaint is that sometimes the quality of their fruits isn't too great and they can go bad really fast. Which is why I buy my fruits at Trader Joe's. Otherwise, customer service here is the best, I prefer Albertsons over Ralphs. read more

Cant say enough good things about this quail hill location. They are inclusive in hiring, which as someone who works with those with unique needs, fills my heart with so much joy. I have never had a any bad interaction with any staff member. I have gone twice when it has been my children's birthdays and they have gifted my children something that has made them feel extra special! I mainly do grocery pick up(for over a year) there have only been one or two times ive needed a refund (and thats just human error that i probably would have made myself shopping like not double checking expiration) . Thank you to this locations staff for always being extra kind and helpful! read more

Good ambiance with less noise. Today is December 26 so the meat counter is closed. Customer service is not good: employees are standing around chatting together and not helping me an old man to carry heavy water bottles to put it into my shopping cart. I had to do it myself! read more

I stop here to use the restroom and for when I'm in the area on my route, but never again. Came to use the restroom at about 11:15. I walked in, sushi chef walks in talking on phone, talks the whole time, does his business and straight up walks out. THERES A FREAKING SIGN, BRIGHT RED LETTERS, EMPLOYEES MUST WASH HANDS. And all the minor details of why it is so important. So I handle my buis and follow him out, still on the phone until he has to handle some fresh produce. Looked like some lettuce. And walks over to the deli area with it. I don't think I'll be eating at this one anymore. How many other places do this though?! Check the video tapes for prof. 10/10/19 from 11-11:30 AM read more

Anyone who's shopped here knows it's lousy or they're deluding themselves. So much is wrong here. Their snacks are oftentimes expired, it's hard to find someone who works there that's in any of the aisles...The prices displayed in the produce section are deliberately misleading. The prices are situated to make the consumer believe you're paying one price when in fact you'll be paying something entirely different when you get to the checkout. And the produce scale is evidently broken indefinitely. Just yesterday, I went to buy a cauliflower which I weighed in the produce section to be precisely one pound. At the checkout, the cashier charges me for two pounds. I told her "That should be a pound." To add levity and cheer at a tense vegetable-purchasing moment, I asked, "did my cauliflower gain weight from there to here?!" She told me the scale in the produce section is broken. I'm thinking: "ALL of them? How do you even know which one I weighed my vegetable on?" SMH... It's the fleecing of America, one Albertsons at a time!! At least at Whole Foods I knowingly and voluntarily buy overpriced fruits and vegetables. But I want to CHOOSE to overpay for stuff, not be tricked into it! To be fair, Whole Foods has been in the media in the past for its fair share of hoodwinking consumers. Cut out the shade, y'all, and fix your scales. This is why I just make the drive to Trader Joe's where I can buy one cauliflower for $2.49 flat without wondering what it's going to weigh on a Monday versus a Tuesday. On a related note, I left that sad cauliflower behind. read more

Decently sized store with attractive aisles and fresh produce. I didn't have a problem with the cashiers nor did I have any issues with finding what I needed. Not sure what all the low reviews are about. I typically just come in for fruit or a chilled drink between meetings because the plaza this Albertsons is in is full of dining options (albeit mediocre options). This is not my normal grocery stop so maybe I'd be more annoyed if I had to come more often, but the few times I've been here I've never had any issues. Most negative reviews for this store are for the customer service, specifically the cashiers and the lines. Guess I just get lucky when I visit. So I suppose what we can take away from all this is this: Don't come here if you're in a hurry; otherwise, chill the fk out and stop getting all pissed off over stupid trivial things. read more

Terrible shopping experience here lately. I bought something on sale with the digital clipped coupon, the system did not give me the sales price, the cashier did not know what to do, fumbling around for 5 minutes, he called someone who refused to help him, so he ran to another cashier asking for help, in the meantime the line got longer with shoppers visible annoyed. So management here is super lousy basically, cashiers are not trained properly, and there are no backup when they need help. I go to this location because it's the nearest but I'm going to skip it from now on. read more

This is my go to place for urgent supplies like their organic bananas. I like that they open early at 6am so it's great to grab groceries first hint in the morning after a workout. This review of one star is based on a few staff members who are highly lacking in friendly customer service. Kyle who is a manager and Neddie, they both need attitude adjustments. They are not friendly and do not make the customer feel like they want to come back to that store. This was on a few occasions not just once read more

Poor customer service, the cashiers at the self check out are not friendly or nice nor helpful

The Albertson's in the Irvine area are all pretty above average with a good selection of produce, often, also with an olive bar. Prices are on the high side like Ralph's, however, customer service is far better. I wouldn't ordinarily shop at any of these stores if I had planned correctly, but it's close by and if I needed something at the spur of the moment, I'd rather come to this Albertson's than the Ralph's which is a bit closer. Cashiers are also far more pleasant and friendly as are the baggers. read more

I hate coming here and the door being closed. If they staffed the store properly they could keep the door opened so you don't have to walk all the way around. It is seriously the most frustrating thing to walk up to the door after you found a parking spot in the always full parking lot near that door to find it closed when the sun is still out. They also often have super long lines although they are supposed to pride them selves on opening another line if more than 3 people are waiting. I don't blame the staff, they are all friendly.. there's just clearly not enough of them to properly run the store as corporate probably trims as much payroll as they can to increase their profits because they can and there's no other option for quail hill residents. If another grocery store opened they would probably go out of business. Especially since they consistently sell spoiled meat. I take it back getting to the door is not the most frustrating thing, getting home to cook dinner with spoiled meat is. read more

Worst super market ever. I've been coming here for years and it's just depressing. I don't know if it's the management or just the Albertsons way. 99 out of 100 times there is only one cashier and a huge line. This may not be a problem if they had self check out, but they do not. Half of the day they have one of the 2 entrance/exits closed so you find yourself walking all the way around. Half the tine you buy meat here it's either already spoiled or spoils after 1 day. The list goes on and on ..... read more

Great selection of all groceries. Produce fresh and varied and extensive bakery. Prices on everything, including "sale" items is extremely high. The convenience of this location brought me in, but I would never buy my regular groceries here. Example: my regular brand of coffee pods - normally the 12 pack is between $6.99 - $7.99 at Ralphs, with Ralph's sale price of $5.99. The exact product was $10.49 at this Albertson's. Ouch! I admit that I don't go to Albertson's often, so maybe the entire chain is overpriced, but I will avoid this one for any future shopping. read more

I was surprised that my total purchased amounted to $41.39 when I only bought 4 packs of soda, on sale for $6.49, would be $2.99 must buy 4, and 3 more small items. ONLY when I checked my receipt that I found out that the discount was NOT APPLIED even when I purchased the required number of items, 4 packs. The sale price ($2.99) was not automatic when they scanned that I did purchase what was required. I was then told by one of the managers that I have to use the app - needed to scan the barcode of the item and add in the "My List" tab of the app. So I have to scan and use the app 50 times if I have that many items to purchase? I thought the intent of the APP is to make shopping easier and that it signs you up to get the maximum discount. And is there a tutorial on how to use the APP? Local customers are loyal. Improve your app to work FOR us, your customers. Some customers would have been led to believe that they are saving a lot, BUT NO. In my case, that was $15 that I could have missed. read more

Here's what sets this place apart...this happened today. I ordered a tiered cake for my nieces 3rd birthday. I paid, walked to my car and DROPPED the cake! I had tears in my eyes as I walked back in the store with the damaged cake. Laurie, with a smile took the cake from my hands and said "Don't worry-I will make this perfect for you again". I stood there watching as she redesigned and frosted a beautiful cake and saved my nieces party & cake. THIS IS WHY I drive across town for this bakery. It's more than a cake. It's the bakery employees, especially Laurie. read more

Poorly staffed. New management with the recent merging of Safeway has this place falling apart. A noticeable difference in lame staffing and terrible inventory. Sadly this branch seems to be going downhill. Overall selection keeps getting worse, and they frequently seem understaffed at checkout. I really liked the self-checkout area, since I rarely buy that many items -- but they got rid of that. They also used to accept Apple Pay, but don't anymore. I used to be able to checkout in under a minute using self-checkout and Apple Pay. But now, I usually have to wait in a long line. "First-world problems" perhaps, but why take away things that were working so well before? Oh well, it just gives me extra motivation to do all my shopping at Trader Joes! read more

Large and nice store. Well stocked and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are higher than most other grocery stores, sometimes even their sale prices. This was our sole grocery store for nearly two years, and I still miss it. The selection here is incredible, and I very rarely waited more than a few minutes to check out my purchases. The staff here is always very friendly, and they have a huge variety of services available including butcher, baker, even sushi chef (though the selections of sushi are admittedly limited). It's also one of the cleanest supermarkets I have ever been in. If you live nearby, you can't go wrong shopping here. Highly recommended! read more

Can this store get self checkout?????? So sick of waiting in line with five in front of me.

This place is under staffed. Waited 5 mins at customer service on Easter Saturday. Finally I had to call them on my cell and asked when their customer service was open. The lady responded "it's open now" to which I replied how long I had been waiting at their "open"customer service to which she replied she will TRY to send someone over. I guess it's all about how "service" is legally defined, not expected, these days. read more

We have been shopping at this Albertsons because it's the closest market to us. It has a smaller variety of goods in comparison to the one on Alton but it's convenient. The staff has never been the most pleasant but I'm not there to make friends so it didn't bother me as much until the last few trips there. A few months ago I went shopping for a cake early in the morning, I asked the lady behind the bakery counter if they could do a special cake for my son. She answered "we are not open!" So I asked what time they would open and she answered "I don't know". It was already 8:30 am! How can she not know that? I was so unhappy with her attitude I left. Yesterday around 1 pm I took my son with me to pick up groceries. I had quite a few items and failed to see the "Express line 15 max sign". Tassie the little filipina cashier stood there as I unloaded my cart. Instead of telling me right away that I had too many items she waited halfway through the process to tell me that that line was an Express Line. I apologized and she started mumbling that it was lunch time...then her attitude just went sour, scanning my groceries and throwing everything down. I wish my huge bag of rice had exploded so she would have to clean it up! She threw things in the bags without any concern for fruits or vegetables, pile everything in with anger. I had my 4 year old with me and also people were waiting in line so I didn't cause a scene at that time. I left furious!!!! The audacity! The most rude cashier I've ever met. My son asked me in the car why she was throwing out things down! I had to explain that people have bad days... I was so upset by her that I ended up calling the manager to report her. If you can't handle customers maybe you need to find a job where you are left alone! I'm glad we now have Wholefoods close by, everyone there are so much more pleasant! read more

It's good clean place. The price is much better than Whole Foods. I don't know why they have so many bad reviews, but I like it here. Lines are usually pretty short and they pretty much have everything that I need. If you go early in the morning, the place is empty. Just don't have late afternoon or early afternoon. You don't even need to register your phone number or get a card to get the discounted price. I guess you can if you want to get discount on gas. Overall, great place to buy food and avoid the crowd. read more

Typical Albertsons joint right here. So besides hearing the same ol boring stuff written by every other person...ill give you a cliff-noted-stephan-certified version of it: the bad: -this market seems rather small -this market closes very early compared to the other supermarkets -in my opinion...the alcohol section seemed small the GUUDS: -easy parking -RED BOX RENTALS! -great hot food selection -great ASIAN section ***and the thing that makes this ALBERTSONS BETTER THAN THE REST....*drumroll -FREE ALCOHOL TASTING ON FRIDAYS/SATURDAYS/SUNDAYS! YES IM SERIOUS!! Come during the day time...and youll see this lady sampling different sorts of alcohol. I rolled into the Parking Lot early this morning around 7:30/7:45 to get some bottled water. I thought this Market was closed, the parking lot was a total Ghost Town, I guess people around the area had a rough Friday night and were sleeping one off. I was about to pull out of the lot when I observed a father & son or kidnapper & victim walk in so I figured they must be open. I walked in and this place is HUGE and it was empty. The night crew was still stocking the shelves and the curtsey clerk was sweeping the floors. I had just pumped gas so I asked a cashier where the bathroom was, they said at the end of aisle 12. I walked in and the bathroom was spotless with a filled out 'bathroom inspection card' on the door. This place was so BIG I had no idea where to go to find water, I asked another employee and they helped me. I walked up to the front, used the self service lane and was out the door within minutes. I did take a look at their produce section and it packed and looked pretty darn fresh. This Market is located in the Quail Hill Exit 3 off of the 405 parking lot, if you did not want a 2nd date you could take your date here and do something from the start of the day to the end.
