The parking lot at this Hmart feels traumatizing every time I visit. Cars coming and going from all angles and it genuinely feels like an ambush + car accidents waiting to happen. It's the worst on the weekends but I love going to their food court for dinner. The produce, condiment selections, and other aisles are nothing to write home about. The prices if anything feels slightly higher than what I find from Mitsuwa, Nijiya, or Tokyo Central depending on what it is. The meat looks cartoonishly red and well marbled. I marvel at the merchandising every time. My other favorite things about this particular Hmart is how much it reminds me of the ones from East Coast. The set up and the suburban feel makes me think of the ones I used to go in Sterling and Fairfax, Virginia. Alas, maybe that's why I visit sometimes to cure my homesickness. read more

I got Jachae and veggie steamed buns. The japchae spinach went bad and the veramine noodles stuck together,it wasn't seasoned at all just very salty.Also veggie steamed buns weren't cooked either and soggy so I threw them away. I don't understand how H MART can sell undesirable like this products to the customers. read more

Love browsing through H Mart. It is always clean, nicely organized, and you will find the most tempting snacks ever. They are a bit on the pricey side, but there are couple items I need to get routinely there. Ramen, kimchi, minced garlic, rice, and whatever else catches the eye during my visit. I especially love their produce, meat, and seafood items. Meat is a bit pricey, but quality is good. You will never guess how many ramen varieties there are until you visit a Korean market. They also have many delicious drinks there. I always end up getting boba or teas for my daughter. Other than grocery items, they have pre-made foods ready to eat. Also, very random, but I love getting dishwashing sponges there. Parking can sometimes get busy, but if you go first thing in the morning, it is pretty much empty. One of the bigger h marts around, this one has a bigger feel to it compared to other hmarts like the one in Chino hills. Ambiance wise, it's pretty clean and well lighted. The place has tons of parking. In terms of food, there's a lot of cooked items, instant items/ prepped items/ ready to cook items.... Service is pretty straight forward. Nothing special. This is probably one of the prettiest and biggest H Mart I've gone to in So Cal.. It has a big food court with a good handful of awesome eateries and a Tous de Jour bakery. . There's lots of fresh produce, seafood, meat and packaged items. Price point is good, IF you signed up to be a member. So out of the three locations here in irvine I think i like this location the best. Although very similar to the one on Irvine Blvd, i think the food court here is a little better. I also like the fact that at this particular location if you go late at night the food is marked 50% as opposed to the other location where its bogo. H Mart has a nice selection of hot ready to eat meals. I usually get the japchae, which you can get a box for lunch for under $7. I've also had other items like the galbi with rice, dumplings, meat buns, and eggs. Everything has been affordable and delicious. The bag of corn was a bit bland; definitely needs some butter and spices added. I also got a bag of the roasted sweet potato. It wasn't what I had expected. I thought it was one big one but the potatoes are actually rather small like the size of chicken nuggets but they make a good snack. There is also a good selection of drinks and Korean snacks, mainly corn based. Parking can be a pain sometimes because it's in a lot that connects to other restaurants and shops. Other than that, I recommend H Mart for some unique and convenient eating and drinking. read more

The "Art Box" aisle is filled with cute stuff, sure, but no one needed her help there -- because no one was even around. Pure performance art at its finest. Then, when we pushed our heavy trolley to another cashier, she magically reappeared at her station -- right back at her cashier machine like nothing ever happened. She took a dramatic sip of water, and sighed like she just ran a marathon. Same lady who puts stickers on every single thing we buy, always wearing that "don't talk to me" face. I really like this HMart! I feel like it's a lot larger than the one at DJ, and less crowded overall. Everytime I come into H Mart, I am always amazed at how gorgeous their produce looks, and is packed. On my recent trip, I picked up some persian cucumbers for $0.59 a pound, which was such a steal! I paid about $1.30 for 6 persian cucumbers. I also like that they have many other Asian food items, like Viet and Filipino cuisine. This HMart has a food court attached to it as well. It's a little hidden, but if you walk towards the bakery, you'll see it! I also really like this supermarket because of their spacious parking. read more

Good luck getting any help from anyone if you are an uber eats driver picking up items. I genuinely try my best with items in stores from other cultures i'm not familiar with, but to get shoo'd off like i'm not worthy of their time, its pretty much rude and disrespectful. This is coming from someone that's been in Food Service and customer service since 2006. I get the job can be rough, but at least seem like you care. H-Mart has what is necessary to cook Korean food. The prices for vegetables and fruits tend to be competitive with other grocery stores. You can buy a nice snack, like the bag of sweet potatoes which are roasted in-store. The cashiers and baggers are professional: efficient and polite. The store is clean and the food court is, too. I really love this H Mart and have been shopping here weekly for groceries. They have very fresh vegetables, meat, fish, and even live seafood. My friends and I have been loyal customers here for years, and we've always had a great experience except for the seafood department staff, who are incredibly rude and poor communicators. Even when it's not busy, you have to wait a long time for them to come help you. They're often on their phones and will see you standing there but pretend to be busy and ignore you. I'd accepted this as something that wouldn't change, until one day they crossed a line and actually mocked me, which is why I'm writing this to warn others. I bought a fish, and one of the employees processed and packed it for me. They put it in a box, but then a different employee handed it to me. There was one older employee wearing a hat he appeared to be Korean or Chinese, and I don't mean that in a discriminatory way, but his attitude was truly terrible. Since a different person handed me the packaged fish than the one who originally prepared it, I wasn't sure it was mine, so I asked this older employee to confirm. He seemed impatient and wasn't speaking English he apparently didn't understand my question. He looked confused, then turned to the other employees and started asking them what I was saying, with a very bad attitude. Then he turned to his coworkers and laughed at me for not recognizing my own fish. From that day on, even though I still shop here, I completely avoid the seafood section. Their attitude is the worst I've ever encountered at any grocery store. It left such a strong negative impression that it affects my mood every time I come here to shop. read more

Hmart is one of my go to asian supermarkets for snacks & korean food. i love that there's a food court and bakery inside the market. it makes it convenient for families to make this a one stop shop. they also have an art box inside! there's so many cute trinkets & it reminds me of korea. i love getting their prepared foods and mochi/tteok. they put all their prepared foods at a discounted rate after 7PM which is great. their sashimi is always fresh and tasty. read more

It's a good spot if you're looking for a huge variety of fresh fruits and veggies especially the exotic kind you won't easily find at a typical grocery store. Every time I walk in, I'm blown away by the range of produce, from rare fruits to the crispiest greens. Where it falls short, though, is on basic items like milk and eggs. These guys are resellers and they're distributors. Give them really bad deals . I've seen milk going for $7 and eggs for a whopping $18, which is just absurd. If you need staples, you're way better off hitting another store. But if you want the freshest, most diverse produce selection or some exotic Asian foods, H-Mart is definitely worth the trip. read more

We used to love going to this location since their opening. However, I am not pleased to see mold (3X) in the Chinese oily noodle package (fresh) and hair in the frozen pork and shrimp dumpling ~ really gross! Today I took Sun Noodle ramen from my freezer and it was moldy. It must have been moldy from the day I bought it as I placed it in the freezer on the day I purchased it. Ended up throwing it in the garbage. A lot of wasted food and $ down the drain. Ranch 99 will open soon close to our home. So, we're not returning back to H-Mart again. read more

Found the cleanest H Mart in town! Had a lot of good stuff offered. I was looking for a particular ice cream for a while. Most places ran out of them until I made a stop here. I feel this marketplace was much needed in the Irvine community, and it certainly has a lot to offer. From the large aisles of Asian food selections to produce, market items, and even a food court. It's impressive they managed to fit so many different things and makes it accessible for those who usually shop at other Asian markets. I really appreciate their new shopping carts that roll smoothly and also have a deep seat so that infants/toddlers cannot easily get out from the cart. I have yet to see sales but the prices seem relatively affordable. The place is definitely catered to Koreans and since our family does not really speak Korean, we did not really receive any good or bad service. Half the cashiers do speak Korean though, so I'm sure that's a plus for certain customers. Their seems to be plenty of cashiers which keep all the lines moving steadily. The store is clean, inviting, and has a great selection. Would certainly return for my grocery needs. read more

One of the best things about this location is really their food court. And after checking out some reviews here, I had to give this place a try! The Food Court has a number of great Korean and Japanese eateries, so you can have choices of noodles, rice, soondubu, and everything else in between. After having lunch at the Tofu House, I went on about the Hmart store itself. I wanted to apply for an Hmart card (forgot my old one...oh well!) and went immediately to the Customer Service booth. The staff there tried looking up my old card to no avail. So I told her I just want to apply for a new one. Told me to just apply for it on their Hmart app - but come to checking out, that didn't really work out! I was told by the cashier that I had to apply using one of their paper applications, so that I could get the new plastic rewards card (and I wanted to, as the card is the only way to get their discounts!)....but man, I had to walk all over the place to get the card. If only it was explained better by the CS person. This inconveinence could have been preventable. Anyway...besides that experience, the store itself is pretty big, has pretty much everything you'd find at any other Hmart. Walking through their aisles, everything looks very fresh and in stock. One star knocked because of customer service only. Parking here is on a lot shared with other shops in the area, so no worry, you'll be able to find parking. read more

I bought a bouquet on July 10th, and by the very next day -- July 11th -- the flowers were completely dead. Not just a little wilted, but gone. This isn't the first time I've been disappointed with their flowers, but now I'm 100% convinced: never again. I took proper care -- clean water, fresh cut stems, cool room -- but it made no difference. Clearly, they're selling old stock or just don't care about quality. I can't speak for their other products, maybe those are fine. But as far as flowers go, this place is a total letdown. Really disappointed. This is the biggest. Cleanest H-Mart that I have been in. It is located in Irvine, CA. It has more selections and aisles of food. Still has the same mixed of Asian food products. We will definitely be back as the whole family loves Asian cuisine. read more
