One star strictly for the service deli service. The two ladies who work there are ALWAYS rude/in a horrible mood. On top of that I went today and there was a 13 minute wait for chicken, not that big of a deal because there was a sale (BUT you'd think they'd prepare for a sale.) so I just ordered chicken strips instead. I came home and they are ROCK HARD. No one in my family is eating these without breaking their teeth. I am a former service deli worker (for Fullerton albertsons) and it's obvious this chicken has been sitting there way past the allotted time there's no other explanation for it to be this hard. I'll still shop here because I'm a huge albertsons fan, but will avoid the service deli at all costs. read more

Floral department only a week before graduation I ordered three dozen balloons gold, the night before graduation I called and verified the order, was verified. Arrived to pick up the Balloons day of graduation, the order form was sitting on the counter in the floral department. Order hadn't been filled for three dozen balloons, produce manager spoke with me and my son about the balloons nothing was ever done, no balloons for grad party. produce Manager wanted to come in next day for gift card? Didn't offer replacement balloons that day of the party. Semi reason I was given by produce mgr why order wasn't filled? " 3 dozen balloons that's like 50 dollars?" I go to Albertsons every single day and this is extremely disappointing to me, will never use the floral dept again. Fried to get some balloons on the spur of the moment just so we'd have a few balloons, they were all picked over and the Produce Manager couldn't use the helium tank. Want an amazing cake that taste as great as it looks? The bakery at this Albertson's location has the best tasting cakes and has a very talented cake decorator. I live 30mins away (without traffic) but this is my go to cake location. They are always fresh and a great price. The staff is friendly especially Cynthia. I always ask for her when ordering any cake. She does fantastic work. At my parties the cakes are always a huge hit and my family and friends can't believe how beautiful the cakes are and how great they taste. Trust me you won't be disappointed. read more

I needed to cater an event for a party at home. Of course, price was a huge factor and a friend suggested Albertson's. I ordered online and had my mother pick up the items since I live in Altadena, CA. My mother said when she picked up the items, the staff was extremely helpful and even helped load the items in the car! It was all packaged very securely so there wasn't any spills or mishaps during transportation. As for the food, I received countless complements on how good everything was! I ordered two 6' sub sandwiches, wrap tray, fried chicken, fruit platters, and vegetable platters. Everything was so fresh and presented very well!!! I am so pleased with how well Albertson's catering/deli services were. I cannot wait to use them again. This review is only based on Luis Mejia. I was in register 4, Quinton was my clerk while Luis kept checking his phone for something, talking about Tina Turner, etc, distracting the clerk. LUIS was apparently higher in rank than Quintin, due to his attire, regardless, of that, that conversation is left for break times not in front of customers. Great inventory. One stop shop for anything you need, as long as you can deal with the staff. Ive had bad experiences multiple times with multiple cashiers, Tim's name is the only one I remember, the other were two ladies. I go here a few times a week and the cashiers are routinely in bad moods, and complain about their job to ME! At what job anywhere is it acceptable to bitch about your job to THE CUSTOMER?!?! Today I bought things for a barbecue with me and my girlfriend. We said we were celebrating the beautiful day and making some burgers. The cashier launched into a monologue about how much she hates the sun and heat and how much she hates her job in the summer and complained about every facet of her life that sucked when it is hot and sunny outside. Wow. We didn't get another word in and we're still being complained at as we were trying to walk away. If she doesn't like her job, quit. If you don't like where you live, move. Don't bitch and complain to the customers at your work. I work in the service industry as a server and I have to deal with people all the time, and NEVER is this acceptable. These experiences make me want to find a new grocery store to frequent. read more

This is my go to grocery store! Though it's not the closest to my house, it consistently has the best quality food and service. They always have what I need in stock. It is definitely worth the extra drive. The staff is friendly and helpful. Especially the seafood counter specialist Gracie. She goes out of her way to ensure you get what you need and always with a genuine smile. Whether it is counting out an exact number of scallops, cutting salmon to a precisely requested weight or walking out from behind the counter to show me a great deal in the meat isle, she is fantastic! read more

Local, convenient, huge selection and nice clean isles. I love the kiddie carts so that children can play grocery along with the parents. They used to give balloons to kiddos but they don't anymore. Booo!! It's a bit pricey compared to say Aldi, but the selection and fresh produce makes up for it. I keep coming back even though I keep saying I'm an Aldi shopper. I want to like this store, especially because its so convenient for me, but they make it difficult to like. My number one complaint is the 3's a crowd campaign which they totally ignore. I usually only pick up a few items and it often takes me longer to check out than to shop. I complained to the store manager and to the Boise headquarters. They promised me a $20 gift card whenever they weren't enforcing it. I relayed that to a cashier and he laughed at me. Another pet peeve is that you have to read the price labels carefully. They are often misleading and I often get burned at the register. And what's with the having to buy 5 of anything in order to get a fair price. That seems to discriminate against single customers who have no spouse or family. I'm sick of the games like "monopoly". Forget the games and offer better prices! On the plus side, most of the staff is friendly and I love their deli fried chicken, even though the price keeps going up, up, up. This store is my preference, but they have driven me to Walmart, where many of the items are half the Albertson's price. read more

They don't tell you they won't bag if you don't pay for their bags - the girl was holding my grocery items and then just drops them next to the bags! She THEN says "we can bag in your bags" well put up a sign or move then! And when I proceed to bag before I paid the checker takes my card and was rude loudly saying "it's not my fault my manager won't let us" what do you expect I. This city! I switched from Vons to Albertsons several years back because Vons kept discontinuing items I regularly use, and Albertsons had an amazing selection. Now Vons and Albertsons are all under the same Safeway umbrella, and instead of Albertsons elevating Vons, Vons has brought Albertsons down. Was in there again today, and have concluded they have stopped carrying turkey Italian sausage altogether, along with the International Coffee I drink, which is now only available in decaf. Add these to the list. Complaining to the manager does NOTHING--I was told the shelves are filled according to the supplier paying for space. Seriously? You mean it doesn't even matter what your customer wants? If you've ever noticed, this explains why they can have 3 rows of the same item and no space for other products. And don't bother following their advice to go online to make a suggestion--it's really just a ploy to get you to fill out a survey. Additionally, the "3 in a line" promise is a farce. I use to come here more frequently but ever since they removed the self check out.. the lines are always long!! They usually only have 1 cashier and SOMETIMES open the express , but even that gets long. Every time i go now, i expect to wait 10-15 minutes at the least in line. They should of never got rid of the self check out. Have more cashiers because customers wanna be out of there fast!! read more

I don't normally write reviews but today's experience definitely warranted one. I stopped in to grab some formula and other items for my newborn. My wife and I just brought her home today. Luis (Manager?) Opened up one of the registers and he immediately struck up a conversation regarding the formula I chose. I informed him that I just brought my daughter home today and he said "let's give her a little something from us." He chose a very nice flower arrangement in a nice glass vase and handed it to me. Gracie or grace was very knowledgeable and hospitable when helping me in the meat department. She was extremely professional and had wonderful tips on keeping my meat cold and free from spoilage. She was nice enough to provide a bag of ice when I attempted to plan on leaving my meat in the car for about an hour in 82 degree heat. She is terrific! Plus this is the best cleanest albertsons I have ever been to. Produce is among the freshest I've seen. read more

I go here to recycle in the back on Sundays because it's usually not crowded and you can feed the machine the bottles and cans so it will count them that way you make more money rather then wieghing them because then it's not even worth the money they give you. This is about the bakery. I asked the girl if she would draw a couple palm trees on my cake, since my dad's birthday was a Hawaiian theme. She says they don't do freelance. Not very helpful. Just went into this Albertsons. Grabbed a couple things around the store. At check out I was greeted with a generic "Hey what's up" and that's it. Yet the older lady ahead of me was treated much differently, with a "Hello, how are you". Followed with small talk from the bag boy ... In closing, I just found the silence a bit awkward. To top it off I was charged full price for something I had handed "Russell H" (the cashier who rung me up) a coupon for. Bought bad organic carrots and organic white mushrooms. Over a week past the sell by date. I came back to exchange and all of the organic white mushrooms on the shelf were past the sell by date by at least a week(!!!!). Luckily, there were fresh organic carrots. I am glad they let me exchange my items without a hassle. Really disappointing, inconvenient, and perhaps hazardous. I wanted to notify the store director / manager but the customer service desk was empty with a long line forming... I ended up calling the customer service line to file a complaint after leaving. Overall, there's usually only one or two check out lines open. There is self checkout but these things are problematic and stop working all the time. Prices are a bit on the high side. Store is clean and so are the restrooms. My advice: shop at Trader Joes or Costco for food items if you can. Check the dates on the food you buy, especially in the produce section and on organic items. This place could be so much better if just a few things could be fixed, starting with keeping fresh food on the shelves. read more

I have not always been an Albertsons fan, but Ralphs left me no choice closing the Duarte store, the Covina store some years ago, and now the Glendora store on Grand is going away soon! Anyways, I was mildly surprised at how large this Albersons store is inside, it took me a while to find everything, but I usually go later at night to avoid crowds, so getting around was no problem. One of the Cleanest most organized supermarkets I've been too.. always love going to Albertsons and this by far one of the nicest. They have a real nice section dedicated to prep foods. Prepackaged stir fry veggies, stuffed mishrooms, stuff for salads, stews, fajitas, etc. Makes it nice to have to go around and by everything separately sometimes. I live close to this store and visit it often but I will say the last 5-7 times I have been here there are no lanes open. Today it was Saturday afternoon with 3 lanes open and each one is 10-12 people deep. I work retail, I understand shift changes and coverages as well. I like the store but I am over waiting in those kinda lines. Every now and then if it happens, I understand. But every time I go in he last two months? The poor checker even called for assistance 3 times and still no one came in the 15 min I was line. They also took out the self check out. So the poor people standing in line with 1-2 items were left waiting. read more
