First of all the gentlemen that work here are always helpful, kind, and fast in helping you with your selections. This is an easy way to drive-through to get whatever you need milk ice eggs, bacon. You name it they have it. Prices are great and you have top-notch VIP service! Whether you just wanna drive through for a ice cold refreshment or to plan a complete dinner at home, this is a hidden gem. I feel that doesn't get enough recognition. They've been there in our community serving us for a long time I believe since the 70s. Inland dairy gets our five star Yelp review in our personal recommendation! read more

They have so many things here, this place is so convenient! It has been here for so long since I have lived here a long time ago when i was a child. I drove back in the area and am glad to see that it is still here. You can still come to get milk, some snacks, a drink. or even the lotto! The prices aren't bad at all compared to going to going to the store. The staff is always nice and quick with your order, I am sure anyone that lives in this city knows about how awesome this store is! read more

The employee helping me gave me attitude because I came in a few minutes before closing. I'd rather be told "we're closed" than to be yelled at. I'll be sticking to stater bros next time I need some milk at 852pm. Also the stuff is overpriced. $10 for a gallon of milk and Gatorade. read more

This place is so convenient, it's just too bad California doesn't allow drive-through alcohol sales! I mostly come here to get a lottery ticket twice a week, I rarely buy anything else but the employees are still super nice to me (I kinda feel bad that I only spend $2 at their store). I haven't had a lucky ticket yet, but if I do, I'd be happy to know that they'd get the retailer bonus from Mega Millions, lol read more

This is my second review as Yelp reached out and has removed my previous review. I have never had an issue with this place until recently. In short, the sexist employees at this business were rude and one even berated me in front of my kids. The owner messaged me and apologized for their behavior and I believe reported my review to maintain his 5 stars. Shame on Yelp for accommodating because this practice keeps customers in the dark about TRUE customer experiences. As for the owner, don't bother messaging me with your farce of an apology. You have made it clear you use grimy practices to skew your ratings. read more

I love this place! When you want a snack fast and don't want to get off the car, this is the place. They are fast and very friendly. My co-workers and I come here alot. How I love thee, Foothill Dairy Drive In! I grew up back East, and fondly remember my mama frequenting a drive-in dairy called Dairy Barn. Most times, she had 3 screaming toddlers in the backseat and still in her nightgown. It would be snowing, sleeting, or raining, and boy DB was my mother's savior I am sure. This place is my savior when its ten-million degrees out and I am too scared to leave my nice, cool, air-conditioned auto for a dozen eggs, or milk, or a 24-pack of ice-cream sandwiches. Ooh drive-thru. Quick and convenient when I need to pick up something on the way home and I don't want to stop at the market, lol. Friendly employees and good service. I love this dairy! I came here when the grocery lines were horrible and still come here! Everyone is soooo friendly and nice and patient.....as we know working with the public can sometimes be a nightmare...but these guys are always respectful. I love the variety they have here...they have my fave ice cream here...it's a secret!! We also get lottery tickets here..lots of winning scratchers. They have milk, bread, at times produce, lots of diff drinks, creamers...give them a try! The lines can be a bit long at times but they move quickly. Thank you Foothill Dairy---we love you guys!! The most amazing and convenient and friendly establishment in all the lands. Although I've never had to purchased one, the grocery bags (stocked with essentials: eggs, tp, etc.) are a godsend in the time of COVID. This place is the quintessential "essential" neighborhood market. read more

They have a large variety of products stocked. The staff is ALWAYS courteous and friendly. The prices are competitive with local grocery stores and much cheaper than any other dairy I've been too. I appreciate that they are not taking advantage of the fact that a drive-thru dairy is convenient. I even was given a complimentary café mocha today when I stopped for ice. I will continued be a customer as long as they stay in business. read more

do you need to pick something up from the market? eggs, milk, water, or a pack of smokes?? are you too lazy to get out of your car and walk in the grocery store??? if you're like me...and you get lazy sometimes... this is the place for you! i've driven by this place so many times but have never tried it until recently. i just wanted to pick up some eggs so i can make myself some breakfast. drive-thru mini mart! that's the coolest thing ever! you drive up, the guy walks up to your window, you tell him what you want, and they grab it for you! yay! for those days when you just don't feel like getting out of your pajamas, just stay in the car drive on thru foothill dairy! just don't get too crazy and do your whole grocery shopping list here. i don't think that's the purpose. read more

I love this place. Everyone is always so nice and it's so convenient! They even try top stock up on things they know I come for and always let ne know when they have it. They carry so much stuff, they will likely have what you need. I have been to other drive through diary's , but this place has the best prices and really go out of their way for you. read more

How I love this place. It's right across the street from where I work (and live!) and it's the cheapest place in the area for cigarettes. Not that it matters. I'd gladly pay a few extra pennies for the convenience. They have pretty much anything you need, which is amazing. I don't know how they cram it all in there. They're also super friendly. I always want to tip them for retrieving my items for me but they have your change ready to go as soon as they hand you the item you're purchasing. Love love love love. read more

I love the drive in dairy, the employees are always nice and it's quick to pull in on the way home from work. The last few times (4 to be exact), the milk we bought soured way before the expiration date and we've bought old, crystallized ice cream 2 times now also. It makes me think they are not storing their dairy goods at the proper temp, so I've stopped buying dairy there. Which is ironic, being a dairy.. read more

I started working at Foothill dairy In late 1969, all thought High School. I started out making "one dollar and twenty five cents hour! I was in heaven. I worked at store # 3 that was at 5th and Cerritos. Every now and then would work store #1 up on highway 39 as a back-up, I remember when McDonald's gave there employees a raise to 165 an hour, The owner of Foothill Dairy, Wilford not to be out done gave us 175 Hour. Most of the lettuce can take it, but their red lettuce cannot, which is my favorite. Every time it is soaked, I mean hold-upside-down-dripping- with-water soaked, and then it deteriorates quickly even if I wash and roll it in towels immediately when I get home. I've asked them if there is a way to change where the red leaf is, so it does not get so much water, but they don't seem to care. Now I can't even buy red leaf at this store, which is really inconvenient. The red leaf is not like soaked at other stores, so I'm not sure why it is here. Well, it's winter now, and I'm getting all my lettuce from my garden, but I'll check the red leaf again when my crop runs out. Also, they have a million types of the same bread (how much white bread do we really need?), but only have one selection of dark rye that is often out. If you see this, please try dark rye. It makes great meat sandwiches. I love it for my Tuna and Turkey Sandwiches. Maybe if more people get it, they'll buy more! ;) They also got rid of my favorite Pomi boxed tomatoes. I wonder if it's the tariffs.

She took our order and gave us our items and again we said thank you very much and smiled, and she just turned away. As he went on with our shopping, we felt that we imposed on her and that we were bothersome in someway just on her body language, and the fact that she didn't respond to our smiles or hellos. I feel Albertsons could do a lot better in managing their employees to treat customers with respect and kindness. I think from now on, we'll go and do our shopping elsewhere. . Apparently, customers are expected to accept his choices without question. If you disagree or ask for something different, be prepared for him to raise his voice and challenge you. God forbid a paying customer wants to choose her own steak! What is even more disappointing is management's apparent unwillingness to address this behavior. Poor service is one thing; tolerating an employee who speaks to customers this way is another. There are plenty of better options in the neighborhood where customers can purchase quality meat while being treated with basic dignity and respect. No one should have to settle for subpar products, rude service, and employees who appear to lack both proper training and professionalism.

I got a couple of bananas, a dozen eggs, saltine crackers, and a rotisserie chicken that I wanted to try since it was Rosemary and Garlic on it. The supermarket itself seemed pretty organized and the shelves were stocked with a lot of products. The checkout though had only two staff members and the line was a little long. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough." I wouldn't drive a long distance for this spot, but it's a decent option if you're already nearby. 4.5 out of 5

For the matcha hobbyists, there are plenty of whisks and chawan bowls at reasonable prices. I've even scored two Hello Kitty cups from their clearance section. Nice employees here are definitely a plus. I prefer to be left alone, but they are quite helpful at the register. Take advantage of their membership for their perks. Returning for more great buys.

But you walk in and are asked if you have a reservation. If you say yes, much joy! If you say no, it's like you've created a major inconvenience for them. Myself and wife have sat in the little bench waiting to be seated and we can definitely tell that reservation guests get treated much nicer than walk-ins. My advice is do not walk-in, make a reservation if you want to try this place. The spark is gone and I don't know who's in charge now but there are other better, much more customer service oriented places, around La Verne.
