How I love thee, Foothill Dairy Drive In! I grew up back East, and fondly remember my mama frequenting a drive-in dairy called Dairy Barn. Most times, she had 3 screaming toddlers in the backseat and still in her nightgown. It would be snowing, sleeting, or raining, and boy DB was my mother's savior I am sure. This place is my savior when its ten-million degrees out and I am too scared to leave my nice, cool, air-conditioned auto for a dozen eggs, or milk, or a 24-pack of ice-cream sandwiches. Reminds me of good times. Plus they have friendly service with a smile and all the emergency goodies you need.

I still really love this store overall, but after years of shopping here there are a few issues,…read morethe main one being their overly soaked lettuce. Most of the lettuce can take it, but their red lettuce cannot, which is my favorite. Every time it is soaked, I mean hold-upside-down-dripping- with-water soaked, and then it deteriorates quickly even if I wash and roll it in towels immediately when I get home. I've asked them if there is a way to change where the red leaf is, so it does not get so much water, but they don't seem to care. Now I can't even buy red leaf at this store, which is really inconvenient. The red leaf is not like soaked at other stores, so I'm not sure why it is here. Well, it's winter now, and I'm getting all my lettuce from my garden, but I'll check the red leaf again when my crop runs out. Also, they have a million types of the same bread (how much white bread do we really need?), but only have one selection of dark rye that is often out. If you see this, please try dark rye. It makes great meat sandwiches. I love it for my Tuna and Turkey Sandwiches. Maybe if more people get it, they'll buy more! ;) They also got rid of my favorite Pomi boxed tomatoes. I wonder if it's the tariffs.

Two minutes had passed by before she even acknowledged us. We smiled and said hello and she didn't smile back, which made things feel very awkward. She took our order and gave us our items and again we said thank you very much and smiled, and she just turned away. As he went on with our shopping, we felt that we imposed on her and that we were bothersome in someway just on her body language, and the fact that she didn't respond to our smiles or hellos. I feel Albertsons could do a lot better in managing their employees to treat customers with respect and kindness. I think from now on, we'll go and do our shopping elsewhere. . Albertsons, please do better.

The staff here are always so friendly and kind. It is obvious they like their work environment as it reflects in how they treat their customers. The store is always well stocked and clean. So, I usually aim for a midweek visit, like Wednesday or Thursday because then it's just a bit more chill, and you can actually breathe in those aisles. One thing I always count on; no shortage of gorgeous flowers. I mean, their selection is top-notch! I usually pick up a pot of blooms, and I love that a lot of them come from local businesses, some are even women-owned, which just gives it that warm fuzzy feeling. Plus, their fresh produce is a total dream. And I swear, when it's not packed, the aisles are like a dream clean, well-stocked, and just waiting for you to do a little shopping dance. I keep thinking, if only we had more Trader Joe's like, maybe one in Walnut (does Walnut even have one? I hope so! Felicia was busy putting out fruit trays, and I saw an employee behind the fruit counter shopping up fruit, he was so busy too. I asked are you out of corn ?. Felecia said we have a big stand in the front of the store and I said oh we never saw the stand of corn. Felecia said I have a BIG Fresh box in the back and I will bring it out for you. Felicia didn't just bring the box of corn out and place it in the Ben, she brought it to us on a big cart and Sette pick what you want. We said thank you and we picked five years and they were beautiful and big and fat so nice of her to go out of her way to take care of us and I greatly appreciate that. Felicia is the reason I will keep coming to this stater brothers over any other grocery store service like this is one in 1 million and Felicia is one in 1 million service with a smile even though she's busy in the store is crowded she was so kind and so professional and so thoughtful.!! we truly appreciated Felicia service today and we will be back and I highly recommend stater brothers market on Route 66 in GLENDORA.
