The Albertsons in Glendora is one of the stuffiest and racist Albertsons in LA county. The butchers are rude and the deli workers with the exception of one nice lady are lazy. Recently I was up next to be helped in the Deli and a young Caucasian worker clearly avoided me since I'm Hispanic and decided to take off. There was the nice lady attending another person and she too witnessed this and even gave me a look of disbelief. Fortunately she helped me and clearly gave me extra attention as she had witnessed his behavior. More recently a lady in the meat department was bothered when I ordered more chicken skewers then what they had on display, which where only 4 and I asked for 8. She complained to me that I should have ordered in advance to which I replied, lady, they are on sale and I only asked for 8. Another butcher intervened and said that he had more made already when she became embarrassed that he was helpful and I was clearly upset. This is by far the worst Albertsons I have ever shopped at and clearly the employees here are unhappy and unhelpful furthermore I get this weird feeling that some of them are unhappy to see minorities walk in this store. Management really needs to look at this and address the rudeness, laziness and what looks to be biased behavior toward certain people of a certain skin color. I may take these complaints to corporate soon. I am so happy Sprouts recently opened down the street and the employees there are really nice and helpful. My husband and I have been doing our grocery shopping here for years, but lately I've noticed a lot of empty shelves. Whoever the buyer is, they are NOT doing their job!!! NO PINEAPPLES OR ZUCCHINNI SQUASH in the summer?? We ordered 4 cases of Ice soda...twice...from the manager. Did we get them? NO. This store is headed for closure if they don't change their policies NOW. Sprouts is looking better & better, and a new Smart & Final Extra is coming to Azusa, soon, Albertsons!!! Better review the new buyer's recent work and either get them to do it better, or get someone else that can do the job. NO MORE EMPTY SHELVES!!! Serious as a heart attack. read more

I've always liked the way this store is laid out. Beverage Boulevard is all decked out to look like a street. Everything is easy to find. The produce section is wide open and easy to navigate. The bakery and meat departments are the same way. The store is always clean and the employees are always friendly. We were in and out in ten minutes. read more

Worst experience ever! Brooklyn was working the Starbucks area and for 15 minutes she went back and forth from the ice area with an older ladies container adding more ice and letting the over flow go into the clean ice! Then after waiting all that time she says the cash register was not working- really she couldn't tell me before!!! Then when I told her I wish she had mentioned it prior to me standing there so long she rolled her eyes at me. That is time she wasted of mine I can never get back and although it is nice she is going to Citrus College and that her boyfriend has been accepted to the University I did not need to spend my time waiting for her to to finish telling her life story and to then roll her eyes at me. Another reason not to shop at Albertsons. I understand that people can become overwhelmed but customer service needs to come first. read more

They never have enough checkstands open. Always long lines. Store is nice and all but way understaffed

I used to love coming here for quick trips before going to the movies but now a quick trip turns into 30 minutes. They took out the self check machines and replaced all four with express lanes that are rarely manned. Add in the fact that the cashiers are chatty (normally very nice, but not when there's only one register and all you need is some milk). Even just bringing back two self checks would help so much. read more

I love this grocery store. I feel like they're pretty reasonably priced. Their deli is absolutely amazing. I love their potato salad! Also the rotisserie chickens they sell always have such a phenomenal flavor; they have a garlic one and a lemon one and they're both very good. I also think they have a very good selection of wine and ice cream. The only thing that took away a star from me is the people checking out are usually pretty slow and I've definitely waited longer to check out than I did shopping. read more

I am giving this store 1 star cause this is the 5th time I came in here cause it is less than a half mile away from my house, everytime I come in here it is always something. I ask for help in another department cause no one was in the bakery and I'm told sure I'll send some one over, fast forward 10 mins later and I go up front and wait even longer cause no one came back. Don't you hate stores that think you're stupid? So this week Albertson's had Tri-Tip on sale for $2.99 per lb. OK, that's a good price I'll admit. But when we got to the store, all the tri-tip in the butcher's case was loaded with fat - I mean chunks of fat hanging off them. So I asked the butcher if he could trim them off. He says "That'll cost extra". That "extra" wipes out the discount. Huh? WTF! Why advertise a cut of meat that is clearly inferior and looks like it was just wacked off with an axe. See, this is why we shop at Costco for meat. It may cost a little more sometimes, but at least they don't play games like this. And then there's the little "specials" where you have to buy multiples to get a lower price (that's the small print of course)- or buy 4 of another product by the same brand. Gimme a break. As consumers, all we ask is to be treated fairly. I can just imagine a bunch of old men in the back room down at Albertson's corporate office, back slapping each other over fooling the public. Consistently very slow check out lines. I have waited fifteen minutes in line on multiple occasions. Usually only two lines open regardless of how many people are in line. Additionally, products have been left on shelves past their expiration date. For example: multiple packages of greens were in the case to be sold 4 days after the sell by date they were rotting and dripping liquid. So I'm giving this review 1 stars due to how I was treated in the store today. at 12pm today I had done my recycling at the Erecycler next to Albertsons. I had to cash the voucher inside the store. so as I get in line the lady in front of me tells me to go in front of her because I only had the voucher to cash out. The asain cashier named "Tom" had seen that and started to look at me In a discomfiting way and it made me feel uneasy. as soon as the he was done with the other customer he checks his voice and tells me to to "come here on this side of the register" with a rude undertone in his voice, didn't say please or thank you at all. I handed tom the voucher and hs gave me my money and didn't say I thing. I asked him very kindly if he had the rest of my change in cents and be told me " I told you the change come out right there, remember?" now mind you I was not rude to begin with or said nothing that could aggravate this man. The remodel of the store came out very well. I will drive a little further to this Albertsons even though I have one closer to my house. The produce was very fresh, yet a little overpriced. They had a very large selection of the typical food items throughout the store. They will be seeing me again. read more

It always takes forever at the deli because they don't have enough help! It also takes a long time at the check out because they don't have enough people helping! I would prefer to shop there because it is more spacious than Vons but I can get in and out at Vons faster because they have more help. read more

Slow slow checkouts. Express line is long and slow. Many many folks shop for less than 15 items.

Unfortunately, there are not zero stars!! Beware and aware that they keep taking our money little by little and it is not right. Every time we shop there they charge more than the price that is advertised or posted, and I have to go back and stand in line to ask for a refund and is getting got old. Is wasting time and gas by coming back. Keeps happening and even though it might be only a couple of dollars, is the principal. Today after shopping there I noticed the receipt and had to go back in line, they did not have enough cashiers at the time and after being in a long line I was told I had to go to customer service and I showed them the fruit both strawberries and cantaloupe were getting bad, over riped and I was overcharged, so they refund but unfortunately, I did not notice there that they charged me more for something, I got some raw fresh chicken. When I came home I add everything and it does not add. And I can not go back to waste time and gas to get 2 dollars back, but still is the principal they should not do that to their customers whether we notice or not. When they are lowering the prices is because is getting bad, old or overripe and on top of that they always charge more. We have to be very careful and inspecting the receipt every time we go there before we leave the store because they always charge a few dollars more and it adds. A couple of dollars here and there it might do not look so bad but still not right. They should fix the machines or whatever and make sure the customers get the price they are offering. Don't use their recycling center (not where I usually go) I usually go to the one is West Covina on workman it was about 3pm on a Saturday and the guy at the center said he was closed that he had to leave for an emergency, so I went to another albertsons they're a bunch of frauds at albertsons glendora recycling center gave me a fake ticket for the plastic bottles I took. I took the ticket a few days later to albertsons (West Covina) to cash it and they kept it saying it was fraudulent and sure enough they brought out another ticket that wasn't fraud it's missing a lot of numbers it did not want to scan and you are screwed out of your money. Albertsons West Covina kept my ticket wouldn't even let me take a picture they would call me the next day because it was too late and that I need to speak to the store manager. It was a embarrassing people standing in line hearing everything that was going on, I definitely will be be contacting and make a huge complaint. read more

They did it again! Just as I was about to give Albertsons a poor review, they tackled the situation and made things happen! I was in line at the checkout and it almost looked like super bowl Sunday in here. The cashiers were doing their best to hustle everyone through...but with 4 cashiers and about 26 customers, it looked pretty bleak. But, with help from produce and a few other departments, they opened more check stands and eased the traffic a bit to make everyone's shopping experience much better! I've been a customer of their for years now and cant say enough about their customer service, and the store in general. This Albertsons is very racists. My mom went there the other day to buy a fresh sandwich and the lady at the deli counter and manager turned her away because my mom is a minority. This is what happened. My mom was trying to buy a sandwich that was freshly made because it was her lunch break. When my mom finally got the lady's attention and asked the lady at the deli if she could have the sandwich made the lady at the deli said she doesn't do that here. So my mom walked away knowing that they do. Then she decided to see if other people will get served and she saw other customers who aren't a minority get served with fresh sandwiches (hence they were Caucasian) and when she went back, My mom was ignored. When the manager walked by my mom asked the same thing and the manager just pointed to the OLD sandwiches that were already made and has been siting there for a couple of days and said that they were there. So let me get this straight if you work for a customer service industry aren't you supposed to serve other people regardless of race and color? So in short if you go here be cautious because if your not Caucasian you will be treated badly, poorly and disrespected. Go somewhere else. read more

this store is terrible! The store is too big, confusing layout. The produce is mediocre, the meat selection (outside of the butcher counter) has a very poor selection. I am frequently frustrated shopping here because I can't find item because they are out of stock or they don't carry it. They recently removed the pretty decent gluten free section now you have hunt for gluten free items hidden in the pasta isle but the crackers, snack, etc who knows. The final straw was when I needed boneless skinless chicken thighs and they don't even carry them. Really? On the same trip I needed Hawaiin rolls didn't find them in the bread isle but on a table by the butcher counter they didn't look free and were smashed. I left the store and I am not going to shop there anymore. The only reason I shopped in the first place is because its across the street and convenient. I will drive to Von's which I about a mile away because their grocery selection is so much better. read more

I'm not sure how to feel about Albertsons right now... I came in a few months ago and ordered a cake for a high school graduation, the design was originally for a cookie cake, but I just wanted it on a sheet cake, and they made it exactally how it was pictured on the cookie and it came out perfect.Now I just ordered a cake this week, with the same situation, I wanted a cookie cake design on a sheet cake just like I had ordered before, and while the lady was taking my order she read it back perfect to me, it was exactally how I wanted. A friend went and picked up the cake for me and when it arrived it was nothing as I asked for. It was just a sheet cake with a complete different design from which I asked. They didn't even put a filling, even though the lady at the bakery repeated to me that I wanted a filling. I called and they said to come in with the receipt and they'll see what they can do. I'm hoping for a refund because to be quite honest I'm very disappointed. read more

DO NOT ORDER YOUR HOLIDAY TURKEY OR ANY OTHER HOLIDAY FOOD FROM ALBERTSONS GLENDORA MEAT DEPARTMENT!!! I ordered a fresh turkey from Albertsons Glendora and they were not able to fill my order. It left me in a very bad situation during the holidays. I filled out an order form out for a fresh turkey for Christmas and was reassured by Carmen that my turkey would arrive. I called two days before the pickup date to confirm that my turkey would be there and no one knew anything about it. They also said that if you fill out a form it does not mean you will get your order. Then why do they have you fill out a form!! Does that also mean that if you order a birthday cake from Albertsons you might not get it? The people in the meat department have no clue as to what is going on when it comes to customer service and what they are able to provide to the customer. I called their division office in Fullerton and spoke with the meat department manager for all stores. He was very helpful and could not believe what happened. He contacted the meat department manager at Albertsons Glendora and she called me and said that Carmen did not process my form correctly and that filling out an order form does not mean you will get a turkey. SO WHY DOES ALBERTSONS HAVE YOU FILL OUT AN ORDER FORM??? Everyone I spoke with at the meat department did not have a clue as to what was going on. One young lady was too busy talking to her friends over the meat counter and I had to wait a long time. The Glendora store meat department needs training or a new crew. The good thing is I was able to find a fresh turkey at Stater Brothers for my Christmas dinner. The person at the meat department at Staters was very kind and helpful and he was able to provide me with a 21lb fresh Zacky Farms turkey for my Christmas dinner. He was a very serious, helpful and knowledgeable young man. Not talking over the counter to his friends like Albertsons Glendora. Smart and Final also had fresh turkeys.
