If I could give a zero i would, this location is extremely unprofessional and unpleasant. They made my experience so horrendous that I refused to ever step into an albertsons/vons ever again. They canceled my order 1 minute prior to pickup and thought that was considered acceptable and professional. They told me if I wanted to get my order I had to reorder and I could pick up as soon as it was done. I showed up 1 hour later and my order was denied because I had to pick it up during new allotted time. My original order was for 10am and they wanted me to wait until 4pm even though my order was paid and my account showed the order was paid for. Management was terrible and did not care even though what they did and how they acted was completely wrong. Another year and Vons doesn't have ANY FOOD FOR PASSOVER!! Instead, they had YEAR OLD MATZO when the best used buy 2025 stamped on it just sitting on their shelf!!! This Vons has always been a 5 for me until the last year. I'm struggling to give it a 3 but I'd like them to take notice. When you switched to self-serve stations you still need to have a decent amount of staffed checkout lines. And by decent I mean more than 1. The first time I mentioned it to an employee they said it was just due to the time and I excused it. But, It's all too common now I go in and there is only one staffed checkout. If you buy alcohol you have to stand in line for that checkout. But even if not and you have a lot of items, which I typically do, then I have to juggle that. They don't put bags next to self-checkout. There are some by the counter where their employee who watches over the self-checkout stands. Sometimes. Today, they were empty and no one was even standing there. On top of that, the handheld scanner had a taped message it's broken. And as I went to grab my receipt the front door popped open and it gave an error. The other day, I was in self-checkout and there must have been like 5 employees standing around at the front. One checkout staffed and everyone else going through self-checkout. It's just a bad look. I choose to go to you typically due to selection but also because it was good service too. When I have a basket full of groceries, it would be nice to have a better checkout experience. Side note, I'd love to see some more organic options in the bakery and breads. It's very limited. Thus, I have to go to Costco or Sprouts. Again, for years, this Vons was a 5, and for other reasons I can still recommend it, but I'd suggest management look at the checkouts and fix it as it's soured my opinion of what had been my favorite local grocer. read more

What is happening to my Vons Glendora? Few minor things but the biggest thing is the service and attitude of one of the supervisors (name starts with an "I") and it's not the first time. She was working the register and was rude, didn't greet any of the customers until she was almost done scanning the groceries, threw items in my bag (I reorganized some of them), seemed rushed, and then after I paid and was waiting for my receipt, she stops to look at her phone, then gets the receipt and says, "here". I don't normally shop at this store only because of how it sits in relation to my home but I was in the area today so I figured I'll go into the store instead of going to albertsons bad move on my part, the people that work here none of them at 8:30 in the morning were friendly. None of them greeted me. No one smiled, including the manager on duty. The only person that I heard speak was jenn, And that was because she was my cashier. Otherwise, this store has no personality. No one is personable at or polite. Actually the butcher handed me the fish, The only thing he ever asked me was how much I wanted and that was it. Went in today, May 16th, to pick up some flowers. Lisa, who "helped" me in the flower department, was very rude! She lacks basic customer services skills and human decency. She made me feel like a nuisance when I asked her if I could add babies breath to flowers. The mangers should have her in the back stocking, not interacting with customers. She also didn't care to cut the stems of the roses even though they were obviously too long, I mean LONG! I did it myself when I got home which is annoying because she gets paid to do that. When I go on vacation, only my family get presents. In this store I feel like I'm with my family so they get souvenirs from me , everybody is polite and always willing to help when I can't find an item. Everyone seems happy working there. I've visited this store for many years and never have I run into any issues. We have ordered sandwich plates for Christmas and cakes for birthdays but, yesterday I was really disappointed in this store. I ordered finger sandwiches from a young gentleman a week prior to picking up my trays. The man seemed new , as he took my order he tried to answer all my questions. After placing the order I was asked to take the barcode to the check stand and pay for the items. I did this and returned and gave him the receipt and he said we were good to go. My husband goes in the store yesterday to pick up the sandwiches and they told him he needed to pay for them. He told her we had already payed for it. The deli manager than proceeds to call over a manager, my husband gets a copy of my bank statement with the charge on it and there continues to be an issue of payment. The policy to order the sandwich's is to prepay for the items so he asks how could I order these if I didn't already pay for them. This all the while being sandwich's to be put out for my mother's funeral. My husband finally convinced the manager to give us the sandwiches. To add insult to injury, the sandwiches were dry and disappointing. I don't think I will be using this store again for such necessities. read more

Please clean up and maintain your restrooms. Small improvements like replacing old graffiti covered trash cans (these are cheap and plastic-easy to replace) and eliminating the smell of urine would be appreciated. It's incredibly embarrassing to your brand and your customers. I recommend putting a keypad lock or something to keep homeless people out in the restrooms, maintain a clean and safe restroom that represent our community. Your customers deserve a safe and clean environment for their families and those of your local community. I have withheld this feedback for several years assuming that the store would resolve the situation. But quite frankly, these restrooms are disgusting. read more

As someone who has managed multimillion-dollar businesses and worked in customer service, I understand that mistakes can happen. One negative experience doesn't define a business, but when subpar service becomes a pattern, it reflects a systemic issue--and this Vons has one. I have visited this location several times, and every single time, I've noticed a troubling trend: White customers are treated with courtesy and respect, while customers of color are met with dismissiveness, impatience, and even a lack of basic professionalism. Shockingly, this behavior extends to employees of color as well, who seem to emulate the same dismissive attitude. Hoping things would improve, I placed an online order for a fruit platter with a confirmation receipt and pick-up time. Upon arriving, the chaos and disregard began. 1. The Deli Incident: I started with the bakery, but it was unmanned and so I went to the deli only to encounter an employee who rudely dismissed me, claiming the deli doesn't handle fruit platters and sent me to the bakery. When I asked if there was anyone working there since I didn't see anyone, someone could help, she suggested knocking on a door that didn't even exist. She offered no assistance whatsoever. 2. The Bakery Disaster: Next, I went back to the bakery. Eventually, I managed to get the attention of an employee wearing AirPods. She seemed annoyed at being interrupted, touched her AirPod to pause her distraction, and asked me, "Do you have a question?" I explained the situation, and she informed me that the bakery doesn't handle fruit platters and to go back to the deli. When I mentioned I had just been there, she said, "if you don't believe me you can talk to the manager, he's the guy making sushi." 3. The Gordon Exception: Frustrated and fuming, I returned to the deli. An employee named Gordon finally stepped in and offered to help. He looked into the issue and, after some time, informed me that my order had never been received by the deli. However, he said they could make the platter if I waited. While I appreciated Gordon's effort, by this point, I was running late and beyond disgusted with the overall experience. This is not just about an online order mix-up--it's about a pervasive culture of apathy and disrespect at this store. The dismissive attitudes, lack of professionalism, and outright condescension I witnessed and experienced are unacceptable. The only bright spot was Gordon, who at least made an effort to address the issue. But one competent employee cannot fix the glaring problems at this location. To the management: -Train your staff on basic customer service. - Address the clear bias in how customers are treated. -Prohibit employees from wearing Airpods while on duty. Their focus should be on customers. -Train your staff , to make eye contact with customers, smile, and acknowledge people waiting in line. -Train your staff on basic common courtesy (Good morning, please, thank you, I'll be right with you, I apologize for the wait). This stuff really doesn't cost you a dime. If you don't care about your diverse clientele, at least pretend to, because right now, this store's service is disgraceful. If you're a person of color expecting to be treated with respect and decency, save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere. read more

I decided to shop at this Vons location. It's a large store with a Starbucks inside. The store had some perks. The deli person on the day I was there seemed a bit tired and grumpy. The fruit and produce looked better than the local stores have been putting out. Associates are helpful when needing help in looking for certain products. Overall, a nice decent Vons to shop at. Make sure you have the vons app for specials. I especially liked the floral area. I've ordered flowers twice from here and price was decent, and flowers were fresh and lasted about a week for me. read more

I had ordered a custom chocolate chip cookie cake for my birthday from the Bakery that looks delicious. Vons always has so many more options than my usual grocery store, Target which is closer to my home. There are lots of fruit and vegetable options, as well as all the delectable desserts and breads. I like the blueberry pancakes with sausage on a stick, Nestle Toll House cookie and ice cream sandwiches, and the plethora of Simply One fruit juices. They are tasty! As I was checking out there was this obnoxiously rude cashier who kept trying to tell me to hurry the heck up and pay . I had put in my Vons phone number to see if I had gotten any discount and he said these exact words. PAYMENT PLEASE YOU DONT HAVE TO WAIT FOR ME IF YOU ARE WATING FOR ME YOUR AT THE WRONG STORE. To my delight, I found everything I needed with ease, and the helpful staff members were as knowledgeable as ever. If an item was out of stock, they would kindly offer to check for its next availability. I have a deep affection for this store and its staff. They are always friendly, courteous, professional, and make me feel like I'm part of their inner circle of friends. I'm grateful for the assistance of a family member who has been doing the grocery shopping for his parents, grandparents, me, and his own family at this store for an entire year. This Vons is very nice. There is always parking out front and alva says shopping carts available. On the inside, they have a Starbucks, a pharmacy, a ballon and flower area, and a deli. Everything inside was very clean, fresh, orderly, and has signage marked well. The food is always clean and fresh and the staff are always helpful as well. Workers are usually always easy to find with help in locating stuff and the butchers always help out in making a great selection! Yes, I'm reviewing a Von's Supermarket. Here's why: I made my way up to Glendora yesterday to watch Stage 7 of The Tour of California with a few friends. For those who don't know, it's for bicyclists which I'm not as I prefer the cooler two wheeled variety of transportation. Anyway, I'm driving the support vehicle so I ended up at Von's to buy drinks, lunch and snacks. I've never - and I mean never experienced a friendlier bunch of employees at a Supermarket. Not only was I greeted by each one that I came into contact with, several engaged me in conversation about my purchase or options. Twice I was escorted to the aisle where what I wanted was located - I wasn't just given directions or told what aisle it was on. In fact, after I made my purchase, I made it out to the car to find out I forgot to buy ice. When I got back in, when I asked the cashier where the ice was, he offered to have someone get a bag for me. As for the rest of the store, the floors were clean, shelves organized there were other services offered right in the store as well: Starbucks, a Pharmacy and a Florist. read more

I really like this Vons. It's the closest market to me and well stocked. A really nice selection of cheeses, crackers, etc. The Starbucks in there seems to be overkill since there is a freaken starbucks 4 stores down in the same shopping center, but hey, whatever. I once had a very cute guy ask me to coffee while I perused the gift card rack. Every store you can imagine. So yea, if you know me and I need to give you a gift, your're getting a Pottery Barn gift card from Vons. They also have little gourmet sections in many different departments, like the Salad dressing section, pasta sauce section, etc. When I can't make it to Trader Joe's or the Health Food Store, Vons really covers everything I need. Oh, the deli sandwiches you special order are pretty darn good also. They also have a hot soup center with different soups of the day. They have have a Health Food Aisle now. While the selection is nice, the prices are not. Stick to your local Health Food Store for better prices. read more

Came by here yesterday afternoon to purchase some produce for dinner that evening. They had quite a limited selection of Boston Bibb lettuce that I was looking for and the ones that were available (only 6 heads were in stock), they kind of looked a bit sad looking and semi wilted. But Boston Bibb lettuce was essential to my evening meal (I made lettuce wraps for dinner last night and w/o the lettuce, it would just be ground meat. Yes people traditional use ice berg lettuce but that doesn't hold up nearly as nice and also there is just a bit more fiber in the Boston Bibb). After I picked the least wilted lettuce head, I ended up waiting in a rather long line to pay. With only 3 cashiers open and the self check out area being closed, I waited a long time to finally pay for my item (yep, all I came in there for was this head of lettuce). The cashier who waited on me was just standard. She kind of mumbled so it was hard to understand her and she did seen a bit tired, so I won't hold her to a higher standard. There is plenty of parking in this lot. Overall, just an average shopping experience, thus the 3 stars. read more
