I was in the Glendora Marketplace Aldi on Lone Hill Today, Store #111. I just have to give the Gentleman Cashier Good Feedback, His Name on My Receipt is ANTWON. The Cashier had a Beautiful Personality, He was Very Quick & Efficient. He Started Ringing My Merchandise Up and I Said to Him, No Those Products are Not Hers, They Are Mine. He Said to Me She's Already been Checked Out, These are Your Products, It Happened So Quickly I was in Shock, I Purchased a Bag, He Took My Bag and Placed the Items inside the Bag for Me, I Thanked Him. I Shop at Aldi's By My Home in Covina and I've Only Seen a Cashier do that Maybe Twice and I would Only have a Few Items Just Like Today. I really appreciate Aldis pricing. I was there yesterday 2/25 @ about 10:30 am. I always try to be cordial to the cashiers. I was shocked when I said good morning and he didn't reply. He was the only cashier working. Not my fault I didn't make the schedule. I made sure I said thank you and have a nice day to him when I left and he was done ringing me up. Still no response. I heard him greet the couple behind me (so apparently he can speak). It really bothered me that he didn't say anything to me. I found it extremely rude. That's why I'm writing this review. Employees are always helpful, even when they are expected to do more work with less help. Low prices, great selection and high quality store labeled brands make it my fav place to shop. Love that the large selection of GF, keto, vegan, DF foods are high quality and affordable. My absolute fav is the aisle of savings and the constantly changing low price treasures I can find there! The prices are low because you bag your own groceries & there isn't a whole lot of staff on the floor to cater to you- important to know before you get there. I have never had trouble getting help when I've asked and their twice as nice policy is above & beyond. read more

I went during the grand opening just two days ago. The place was crowded naturally. The shopping carts were free and they were giving away reusable bags. They also had a contest where you can win groceries for a year. If you're familiar with Aldi, you know they have the basic essentials and you know there will be details for snacks and drinks. I'll definitely be back for school snacks and possibly the meat counter. It was too crowded to leisurely peruse. The carts and people were definitely at a standstill at certain points. Which meant I weaved around as much as I could. Like most European countries and Japan, you will have to bag your groceries. No chip availability for payment yet. read more

This place has excellent prices, we usually purchase meat here because they have the best prices compared to other places. I would say there is not usually a lot of employees working so the costumer service is lacking . This place is mostly a self service store so if you are disabled you may not get a lot of help but the prices on food are really good and worth a trip. read more

Aldi is amazing! Their quality and prices on the items you use most often are better than anyone. The only place that comes close is Costco and they make you buy in bulk. Yah, if you need something weird or obscure you probably have to go elsewhere to find it. But in the meantime, everything else is so good and cheap! Time after time, I can't believe how cheap my total is. I feel like a millionaire every time I come here. The staff is friendly and nice and always ready to help. If you forget to bring a quarter for the cart, they'll give you one. As they say, there is no such thing as a free lunch. The prices are so good at Aldi because everything is built around efficiency and eliminating waste. Having an extra employee who chases after carts in the parking lot all day costs money - money that gets passed onto the customer. Service from an employee I am fed up with. I think she is one of the managers! Don't know cuz she had no name tag. 4/22/24. About 330 to 4pm. She was cashiering and I was checking out with my groceries. She is always flippant and impatient, like why am I talking to her the A type B#!@%...She cuts me off with her rudeness when I asked about a product. Saying we have all kinds of hellos, instead of welcoming me the customer to feel free to ask about anything at all...I am the customer and I can ask what time they open or close, if I want & especially about a product. Letting corporate know about this and the only reason I've been going to the Covina ALDI & From.now on. I had seen this place every time I went to Guitar Center next door but I never checked it out until this past weekend. I feel so lucky to have discovered this market because they were pretty well stocked despite all the panic & madness that's going on lately! And they have the best prices I have ever seen for organic, by far. Spent $50 getting over $100 worth of groceries at my usual Albertsons or Sprouts. Definitely check this place out! They are limited, but I can already tell the savings will add up to $200 or more for me monthly by switching to this place for basic items. read more

The concept of putting the quarter in to get the cart (HEY! you get it back!) didnt throw me like it did some folks, obviously.. It cuts down on overhead and that saves us money- besides, theree are never any shortages of carts while someone rounds them up in the parking lot. Once inside I was amazed at the prices and selection- the wines were amazing! the produce, a whole pineapple for 99 cents? raspberries for 89 cents?! Wow..and good quality too! Frozen foods were just as good- the KingCrab legs and whole roasted duck were great and I HIGHLY recommend their frozen eggplant parmagiana! I am glad that they save money, (iike Costco and Sams club) by having cashiers that do not bag- I prefer to bag my own stuff anyway.. Some of their prices were absolutely unbelievably low..True, they do not have everything, but neither does anyone (since they closed our Ralph's!) I found everyone there to be helpful- I find comfort knowing that they share a corporate identity with the Trader Joe's "Family", whom I highly trust- and will definitely continue shopping there- Just remember to keep a quarter in the car! read more

Unique store, high quality, good products. Fresh meats, cheeses, produce are good. We save a ton of money on food here. They have engineered in ways to do this. You bag your own groceries; they have limited selection in items; their sale items sell for the week till they run out; and you need to put a quarter in the slot to get your cart (its returned when the cart is) so no need for xtra staff picking up carts everywhere. The first time you go in all these things are a shock but when you get the bill you realize its ok. Restrooms are clean. If you want a full service grocery this is not the one. read more

So I have seen these new markets popping up everywhere. I finally decided to stop in. Its a nice market. This location is clean and in order, Everything seemed to be fresh. I spent less than expected. Prices are quite good actually. I was very satisfied with what I bought and like I said expected to spend more. It reminded me of living in England and going into a small local grocery store. I like the fact that there are lots of imported product's to choose from. I will be back to do more shopping here soon. I am so shocked by the bad reviews on here so far!! I love his Aldi! All of the employees have been wonderful. I had to open a baby food packet for my son to make it through the store and they were so kind about it. The last time I was there I forgot something and they ran to get it for me. I have reduced my grocery bill by an incredible amount by shopping here. I was hesitant at first to try their brands but so far it's been great. I'm very happy to see Aldi come to my neighborhood. They have fresh fruit cheaper priced than chain markets. Good variety of healthy foods. People are whiners complaining about the quarter used to get a shopping cart. I like the idea it makes lazy people return their carts to get their quarter back and you don't see loose carts getting blown into cars. I think Aldi just might be my favorite new discovery this year. Ive only been here twice so far and i really enjoyed my shopping experience each time. They have a fantastic selection of organic, keto (zero carb bread and low carb tortillas!), and exotic items among many other things.
