I'm a loyal customer and shop here at least once a week. My husband is a commercial driver and will sometimes park here overnight utilizing 3 spots WHEN NO ONE ELSE IS THERE NEEDING THE SPACE and TAYLOR called the tow truck on us. This is our bread and butter. We tried talking to him asking for leniency since it is overnight and we are not bothering anyone. He was so rude and not compassionate at all. No problem. We'll just take our business to Ralph's across the street. They're more affordable anyway. What is going on with Albertsons lately? The jacked up prices are bad enough... if that was really necessary, other stores would be doing the same, but Albertsons has theirs significantly higher. For that, you'd expect quality, but we keep having milk go bad before the expiration date! We've been storing it the same, not keeping it in the door, and yet when we open it, it's either turning or fully turned. This has happened at least 5 times in the last 6 months with more than one brand bought at Albertsons. Our friends have had the same. In the last year I also had 2 consecutively purchased tubs of cottage cheese that had the foil seal opened. I can overlook a lot but people tampering with the foods, and spoiled milk, are a bit too much for me. It was bad enough finding broccoli that was full of moth larvae, cauliflower that smelled like sulphur (that's not supposed to happen until after you eat it, man) or slimy precut packaged fruit, all within the last year. This place is like a freind of mine; clean, stylish, symetrical and always has beer. Unlike my friend, as he does not have a starbucks inside of him, I hope. Not far from CSU Fullerton, the 57 freeway and quite Fullerton areas lies the Albertson store. This place is as previous reviewers have described excellent. I will have to come back a few more times before I give it a 5th star. The place was clean from deli to fruit to toilet paper. The employees seemed to be on game, no lazyness, always professional, this may become one of my key grocery stores. The Deli, you will not see ham being sliced and pepperoni logs hanging but you will see what grocery store deli's are famous for thier Americana fare. Fried chicken, wings, meatloaf, mac/cheese, potatoe salad etc. The Deli person was cool, she had a smile, very quick and knew her wings. BTW, I love thier tangy wings, I am a fan now. Cereal Ralphs has cereals on sale at times, but they had Fruit Loops, the larger box for under $3, hell yea!! They also have little toys and club card bargains, good bread section, watch out Ralphs. Purpose of review and reccomendation: For both families, students and older singles this place has a variety of items. Between this store, Ralphs and the Spanish speaking stores you can get almost everything. Additionally, for entertainment purpose, I have no complaints on thier wings, or thier stock of soda, chips and beer. They do not have the cheapest school/office supplies, but in a pinch you can get them here. I will be back. read more

This only pertains to my incident last night at this particular Albertsons Bakery...Otherwise, we love this store and it's Bakery... I called the store Friday August 3rd at 4:15pm and spoke with a gentleman (very friendly) over the phone and he replied..."We can write on any cake as long as it is before 9pm"...I said Great...I will be there by 8:40pm to pick out a cake and have you simply write "Goodluck..." ...I get there at 8:40pm rush to the bakery and picked out a cake in seconds flat..Only to be told (by a different guy) they can't customize the cake...it's too late... Had I known it would've been too late I would've had the guy on the phone at 4:15pm to pick a cake and write something. Then to top it off...there was approximately 10 people in each line for check out...(rant over)... I would encourage Albertsons to have a protocol in regards to certain things and stick to it...regardless of the situation... Tony read more

Love this Albertsons! It's always clean, the workers are always super friendly and helpful, and there's a Starbucks inside of it! There's always some good deals going on, they have a pretty big clearance section, and their baked goods are always pretty tasty and cheap. This Albertsons also has a nice variety of beers, wines and liquors. You can find something for everyone and you can even build your own six pack or buy a single beer if you don't want to buy a whole case. The only thing I'm not a fan of is how there aren't ever enough cashiers checking out. There's usually 3 registers open and they all have 5 or more people waiting in line. So the lines can take a while and get backed up. read more

Let me start by saying I frequently visit this store for both Instacart and my personal shopping and am always greeted positively and receive great service when I need to find something. With that being said I had an Instacart order here today and I could not locate an item. I approached an employee by the name of Martin and politely asked for assistance. The first thing he says "is that for DoorDash"? I said no, it's Instacart, and he immediately replies that "we're not allowed to help because you guys should know where the stuff is!!!" Seriously...just WOW! First of all, if I was in the store with a list from my significant other and couldn't find an item what is the difference? Second, the sale is still Albertsons sale! And, third, I AM REPRESENTING THE CUSTOMER!!! I have never received this type of attitude here and, when I brought it to a managers attention, they GLADLY HELPED ME and apologized on his behalf. The worst part is that after I approached the Manager this MARTIN guy came by and harassed me two more times while I was shopping! Martin is DEFINITELY NOT an employee I'd have working anywhere near customers and, likely, will bethe reason I do not return to this location.i read more

This grocery store is always clean, organized, well stocked. Their cashiers are always very friendly; great customer service. Some bag boys even offer to help you with your groceries out to your car. Okay, so I'm only giving them a 4 because every time I come in this store they have some lady walking around asking you if you want to buy cookies, I have no clue if she works for the store or if she works for some other company but it's annoying when I just told her I'm on a diet and do not want any cookies then 5-7 minutes later she comes back and says hey kind sir, would you like to try my diet cookies?" Really? Their the same cookies she showed me a few minutes ago now all of a sudden their diet?! I have mentioned this to several employees and they tell me they will talk to her and I even seen one tell her not to bother me. But I went in yesterday's and sure enough she approaches me again. Horrible customer service. I work as a vendor for a big distributor. I am bummed that this store and all it's new employees are so Clueless as is the store director Jim. I have shopped here for over 20 years. Ever since Luis left this location a few years back, this store has tanked. You have young kids ringing at the register who are clueless. I'm a student at CSUF and over the years I've had to go to the really expensive Whole Foods in Brea to get all the gluten free needs in one location. My cashier "Ricky" he checked all my checkmarks on my cell phone and asked for a phone number. After checkout, I received a receipt. I found out something wrong so i asked another worker and him but he said Customer Service would help me, but customer service worker helped other peoples except me I was first in line.he said to me lined up but when I turn new men coming i had to line up agin. Always panhandlers or Girl Scouts at the front of this store. Someone is always doing some kind of fund raiser there. The Girl Scouts are ok but I don't know about the others. If you're looking for fresh made chicken from the hot deli forget it they don't restock and remove the old chicken. You can get nice fresh golden fried chicken at the Albertsons on Tustin Ave and Seventeeth St. They still do it right at that store. I don't know what happened to this Placentia store they have some tired workers, I'm guessing they just want to go home. read more

They have a friendly staff, clean bathrooms and a huuge selection. They also have a wide variety of Foreign foods and low carb/low sugar section. I have done many of my grocery shopping at this particular Albertsons store due to the convenience of the location for me. This is an extremely clean grocery store & very well organized. The produce section is filled with a selection of FRESH fruits and vegetables - both organic & non-organic foods. The bakery contains freshly baked breads daily as well as a variety of sweets such as cookies, cakes and pastries. The deli section is filled with ready-made pastas, salads, chicken wings & roasted rotisserie chicken. The meat selections are rowed section by section accordingly and well packaged ready to go. Each isle is clean and very detailed with the food items. Customer Service to me is always number one. This particular Albertsons has some of the most friendliest cashiers & helpers I have ever encountered. One person in particular is Robert who even went out of his way to get the paper ad to scan some of the coupons for me & helped me save a few dollars! This man should be acknowledged for his great customer service skills and making customers happy. I have been here many of times and not a single customer service worker has ever let me down. Also, I would like to acknowledge Suzanne whom I always see when I check-out and by far the most sweetest and friendliest person to be around with. She always has a smile on her face no matter what dreadful hours she's been at work. I am very pleased with this Albertsons & everything they have to offer to their customers. This store itself is okay but I fell in their parking lot after slipping on an oil slick. I was treated very nicely and told to go and get medical treatment and that they would pay for it. Well, fast forward....after five weeks of physical therapy they call for an update. When I tell them I am nearing the end of my treatment, their insurance rep says to me "Well you know, it's not our fault". Really Albertsons? So it's my fault there was an oil slick in your parking lot? This was going to be a simple cut and dry case and now apparently I need a lawyer. I just wanted to go grocery shopping and go home. Ok I know this Albertsons store is a bit cleaner and bigger than the other average stores. But I have to take 2! Stars away for being the only grocery store that doesn't provide shopping baskets. They use to have it like a year ago, but they stop providing them. I asked one of the employee why, and she told me because people are stealing them. Ok I am not sure if it is a trick to get shoppers to use the grocery cart to shop more, or was the employee was being honest about stealing, but 99% of grocery stores I been to provides shopping baskets. This Albertsons is not in a bad neighborhood either, I don't see how more people would steal their basket in this area. I just don't like to use shopping cart when I shop, unless I know I am buying a lot of stuff for a big party. This is the best Albertsons, by far. Their selection is insanely large as it occupies a former Super-K building. There is small, but dedicated section of organic and other natural products that is definitely the biggest selling point of the store. Not only do they offer natural and organic food, they stock popular natural or organic version of big brand foods (like natural Cheetos!) and greener alternatives for things like paper towels, toilet paper, household cleaner, etc... I have a (smaller) Albertsons a bit closer than this one to my apartment but I happily drive here instead because of the larger selection, huge amount of organic products, and the self-checkout lanes! read more

I usually buy my lobster tails at sprouts but they were out of lobster tails today. So I went to Albertsons desperately wanting lobster tales. They show me these flimsy looking lobster tales. but I just took them. Came home baked them in my usual seasoning. The lobster tail was rotten or just off. The minute I put the lobster in my mouth it tasted gamy and just off. Ten minutes later I started getting rashes on my stomach. I go to this Albertsons for the majority of my grocery shopping since it is the closest to where I live...but man oh man, it's often such a headache. - THE LONG LINES! Yikes! Whatever happened to that "3 or more" thing where they would open a new register if there was more than 3 people in line???? Ugh, this is such a pain in the ass. Most of the time when I'm in here, there are only 2 registers open and each line is somewhere around 5 deep. - NO MORE SELF CHECK OUT! It has been replaced with the "Express" lanes for like 15 items or less. But this line is just as long as any other line. It particularly sucks when I have one item but I'm stuck in a long line since they don't bother opening up more registers. Those are my 2 main gripes with this location. I know its one of the busier Albertsons in the area, but the lines are killer. read more

They have a extensive selection of organic products! Just in general they have a a lot more to choose from and a lot more specialty products. I go out of my way to come here. This Albertson's location is awesome! It is well-lighted and well-stocked. I've been going to this store for about 11 years. The employees have always been friendly, especially the produce guys. Don't be afraid to ask them to pick out a good cantalope or watermelon. They are very helpful. In addition, I once ordered a floral arrangement and gave the lady a $65 budget and very little detail (color and size) of what I was looking for. What I got was a huge and beautiful arrangement that was easily worth more elsewhere. It was outstanding! (I don't give compliments like that very often.) I also love that this Albertson's carries filipino eggrolls, barbecue sticks, and ice cream in the frozen aisle. Totally saves me from having to drive all the way to West Covina. This store has a decent selection of healthy/organic and ethnic foods. If I ever move away from here, I would definitely miss this Albertson's. read more

Sure you might be able to find slightly cheaper prices at some international market or farmers market, but the quality here is TOP NOTCH!!! Typical grocery store. Tried their premade food last week. Their egg salad has a ridiculous amount of mayo and their tomato salad was sour. They have a great selection of produce. I bought the most amazing watermelon last week. Yum! And they have a great selection of a vast range of products. They have a pretty large frozen food section, too. This review is for the bakery department. I needed a "Minion" themed cake for my sons' 4th birthday party and didn't want to spend a fortune. The three quotes I got from other local bakeries were all over $100. I went to Albertsons and asked if they could make a Minion cake. Lisa helped me and couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. She'd said she had never made one before but thought she could do it. I have to say, I was a little nervous about how it would turn out since she mentioned that she had never made a Minion themed cake before, but when I picked up the cake, it was absolutely PERFECT!!! It turned out better than I had expected and my boys LOVED it. To top it off, the cupcakes were really good and the price was under $30. Thank you, Lisa, for making the BEST cupcake cake ever! This is the normal Albertsons I shop at. Today I came in for a 99 cent watermelon on sale with a coupon. There were small and larger size watermelons in large boxes. There was a sign posting the special price and no price next to the two pallets of larger size melons. The assumption one can make is that these are also eligible for the special price. Come to find out at checkout that only the small size melons were on sale and instead I had to pay the inflated price of 6.99 for a regular melon. This was an attempt in my opinion by Albertsons to fool you into thinking all melons next to the sign were on sale. Nice work you duped me.
