Most sandwich shops (in my experience) are order, pay at the front, and sit down establishments. That is not the case here. It is a sit down, service oriented restaurant. Food - the key to a Philly (according to my Philly born and raised college roommate) is the roll. And he says the rolls in Philly taste a certain way as a result of the water. I would say these rolls are tasty and soft, but they lack the "water." The chicken surprised me. It's breaded. The cheese was plentiful, and the grilled onions were tasty without being overwhelming. I could have gone for more avocado. The potato salad was tasty. It's mayonnaise based, southern style with pickle. And maybe boiled egg? Service - friendly and fast service. Looks like two people are running the show. Cleanliness - one of the first things that struck me was how clean and good smelling this place was. There was a scent of the cleaner and the aroma of sandwich creations from the back. I peeled around the corner in to the kitchen and the floor was spotless. Ambiance - I can't place the exact theme. It's Alaska meets Philly? Commercial, yet homey. Table and booth. Fireplace in a corner. Big windows. Industrial exposed ceiling. If they had a bar, it wouldn't be out of place. Notables - if you're looking for takeout, just stop by and they'll hand you menu. Or you can look on here (YELP) for the menu. When you're ready, head to the hostess stand. My sandwich took about 15 minutes. They packaged it up in a styrofoam container and a plastic bag.

Delicious family owned and operated restaurant. Lots of options and everyone is very friendly!

Oh man, this was a fantastic cheesesteak. First impressions - it's a BIG cheesesteak. When the server first brought out the good, I thought there was no way I could finish. And then I took a bite, and there was no way I was going to stop. It was that good. Had the South Philly - meat was tender and well seasoned, and all the fixings blended together perfectly. Wife had Palmers Best Philly. She enjoyed it, though I thought the asparagus was a little weird, and I wasn't a fan of the mozzarella. Overall, excellent meal and an excellent value.

Stopped by this place on a whim, when we walked through the doors we were drawn to the delicious aromas. I got the Mac n Cheese Philly and it was really good. The bread was soft (not soggy) and the meat had a great flavor. Also got a side of onion rings that were fried to perfection that came with homemade ranch.

Delicious! I had the Palmers best with fresh asparagus and zucchini, sliced mushrooms, onions and spinach. The bread was fresh and the perfect texture for a Philly cheesecake. The steak was yummy. The potato salad was homemade and a delicious side.

Sorry. Not even close to east coast philly sands ad really small portions. Service was really slow.

First time eating here, as I'm visiting from Arizona. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, the place has a good vibe and the owners are such great people! I definitely recommend trying this place out! You won't be disappointed. P.S. although they don't have gluten-free bread, they're accommodating in offering you sandwiches without bread or as a wrap.

So we chose this place on reviews. At first was a little nervous cause it was in a strip mall. Walked inside and the smell made your mouth water. The restaurant was clean with beautiful art adorning the walls. We were greeted by a young man name Omar who sat us down and asked us what we wanted to drink. He ended up sealing the deal on this place, he made sure our beverages were always full. If we looked unhappy; which we weren't; he was right there asking if everything was okay. He was very attentive the whole meal as well. To learn from Omar that the wing sauce is homemade with habañero made my mouth salivate. I couldn't decide between a cheese steak or wings so I did both! The cheese steak was very hot, flavorful and the bun was soft and edible. Then came out the wings, Omar's dad made homemade habeñero sauce. Very sweet and tasty, with a little heat at the beginning! Then the real heat came on. It was perfect. My wife had the Philly combo salad. She said it was so good and flavorful she didn't need the dressing. To top the evening, her flan was perfection. Firm but creamy with just the right amount of sweet. The love for authentic food is truly wonderful.

The food: Portions are huge, the burgers are great, Mac n cheese isn't too shabby either. REALLY good fries. I hear they cut their own steaks in house but personally I haven't ordered one, the picture below was a friends and kinda tough. If you like an adult beverage, they've got a well stocked bar with local beers and a decent whiskey selection The French Onion Soup was really good. I've had worse and haven't had much better I didn't care for seared tuna but appreciated the creative liberty with the sauce Here's the real deal.....I like this place. The food isn't going to win a Michelin Star but you can tell the Kitchen is invested in the craft. The restaurant is relaxed, casual, and the people are super friendly. If you're in business attire just leaving work or bibs and boots leaving the river....this place is for you.

So I did exactly that -- nothing out of line. Suddenly, a worker that I'm familiar with named Joe , cussed me out, and kicked me out in front of everyone. Totally unprofessional and uncalled for. I wasn't being rude, I wasn't causing problems -- just following what I'd been told on previous visits. It is located at the intersection of KGB road and Clapp RD in a large parking lot next to a larger green building selling AK Happy Weed. I am giving these detailed instructions because it seats back from the road and can be easy missed. I had the Loaded Chessesteak #2 sandwich for dinner. The bread was soft, fresh and held the many layers of ingredients. Seasoned Rib Eye Steak slices, grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, provolone cheese and I added jalapeños. The rib eye was flavorful and tender. Seasoned well and abundant. The other ingredients were excellent and the cheese melted. I enjoyed this sandwich and will have it again. I also picked up a #8 Daniello's Sub for my love. It is served on a fresh baked roll, Genoa Salami, spicy Capicola ham, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and aside of Italian Dressing. All the sauces for the sandwiches are served on the side and is an excellent alternative as they have only pickup and takeout sandwiches, fries and drinks. No on sight eating unless it is your vehicle. The menu has two headings for sandwiches. The first labeled Cheesesteaks and the second Italian Grinders. Grinders is a regional term for Subs, Hoagies and similar sandwiches in different regions of the U.S. and World. They have seven number Cheesesteak choices and 7 Grinder choices that includes the popular Smash Burger. In addition the sides are very interesting starting with 2 sizes of Hand-cut French Fries baskets plus 3 loaded Fries choices , the #15 Cheesesteak Fry with Steak or Chicken, onions and homemade Cheese Whiz, #16 the Soprano Fry topped with rib eye steak, capicola Ham and mozzarella cheese. Served with side of red sauce. The last is a tribute to our hopeful 51st State the Oh Canada (Poutine) Fresh cut fries topped with cheese Curds and beef gravy. They offer several soft drinks, bottled water and freshly baked cookies. A photo of the menu is provided so you can call in your order for pickup or delivery. Phone number 1-907-671-0288. Open most days from 10AM to 9PM. The sandwich's are made to order when you arrive. I would recommend this location for anyone desiring an excellent sandwich and fresh fries for lunch or dinner.
