Nothing overly special. Not bad by any means, but a little too much bread and not quite enough meat.

We looked everywhere until an office worker told us they moved and to check the Facebook page. The Facebook page directed us to some bingo hall down the road and had a picture describing the hours as open at 11am, and another picture saying she opened at 12p.... ANYWAYS.... So we drove to the bingo place to find a little food stand, clearly closed. We ask someone who works there and they said "oh she'll be in later". Not sure what this business' issue is with establishing and conveying accurate hours of operation or even a location but because of all this running around and inaccuracy, we'll never try to come back again.

I've been here quite a few times as this turns out to be my one of my family's favorite spots ( I was having lunch with my son and mother, then my older brother walks in, so family lunch together.) My favorite has to be the pioneer sandwich! Its big enough for 2 to split so you can save room for their soup! I had a few different ones since I moved here to big lake, and each soup special is better then the next, I enjoyed the lemon/chicken/orzo/spinach soup yesterday... and im still thinking about it today... After all this food, since it was so light and fresh, i didn't even need a nap after. And with the breakfast sandwich's, burritos, & wonderful coffee in Wasilla! This place is becoming a needed daily experience. Your staff makes the experience of waiting like a vulture for a table so delightful. They are all doing such a great job for your business. Thank you wandering cafe!

It's a great place to stop for your morning coffee and also to get breakfast or lunch! The staff is super friendly and the service is very fast! We got the breakfast burrito and the avocado grilled cheese. Both were so cheesy and super yummy! I wish the grilled cheese had a sausage or turkey option instead of just bacon as it would make it 10x better! (I'm not a fan of pork meat) but even with it, it was delicious! I live right down the street so I'll definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu!

The interior design could use some work except the little fireplace nook they have is super cute. They had a Christmas tree that was only half lit and decorated which was weird. We got coffees; two sunrise sandwiches and the potato soup in a bread bowl. Both the sandwiches were very good! Definitely a great spot for them and with any of the bread choices, which there are MANY! I'll absolutely come back for them! The bread bowl is just white bread which was disappointing as I thought they'd have a sourdough option. The bread was super doughy inside as if the soup had been sitting in it for hours or it wasn't baked all the way through and it tasted like it was missing salt maybe. The soup was fine, nothing great but not bad. Similar to what you may buy canned at the grocery store. The coffee didn't come out until we were about ready to leave which I expected as it seemed they had barely 2-3 people working at one time. If they did more bread bowl options, experimented with the soup flavors more (or start making it homemade if they buy it commercially), and redecorated, I'd 100% give this place 5 stars. Regardless, great place for sandwiches and coffee and I'll totally be back!

I got a lovely lunch from Sherrie's Valley Cafe in Wasilla. It's a small cafe located inside a medical office building. They use Boar's Head deli meats in their sandwiches, and also serve salads, snacks & soup. This location used to be known as the breadcrumb whose owner moved to a distant location. I ordered the "Optimus Prime" which included roast beef, pepper jack cheese, horseradish, bell peppers, red onion & jalapeños. There were quite a few sides to choose from & I went with the Mac salad. The other options were chips, potato salad & pasta salad or soup for an up charge. Since the soup of the day was loaded baked potato I ordered a cup of it as well. If you're looking for a quick service lunch spot in the valley then you should check out Sherrie's cafe. It was a delicious & comforting lunch. Seating is very limited, but available counter style! They don't have an insta, but regularly post to Facebook. Sherrie is a sweetheart and customer service was excellent!

Since I was too sick to really do anything, including go to the Yelp Elite event, he took pity on me and we went on a drive around the scenic valley. While we were cruising around we got hungry, so I utilized my Jersey Mike app to pre-order us some dinner, so all my husband had to do was pop in and pick it up. My husband tells me the shop is nicer and bigger than the one in Anchorage... what else is new. The Valley always gets bigger and better. Our sandwiches were made as expected with no errors. I order in Anchorage all the time and this one was exactly the same. I like that dependability. It helps that their cheesesteaks (not Philly- you Alaskan weirdos- I was born in Philly, Philly is a place not a fucking sandwich) are perfect. Since moving to Alaska from Jersey a decade and a half ago, I have been longing for a proper cheesesteak. This is as close as you are going to get, minus the stupid red peppers, which ABSOLUTELY MUST BE OMITTED. They do NOT belong on the sandwhich and ruin the entire flavor profile. Thankfully the app makes it very easy to modify your sandwich to your preferences. What I think is the true proof of the quality of the sandwich is if it needs condiments. This sub does not. I typically drown my cheesesteaks in ketchup. But this sandwich has the perfect balance of cheese and meat, and the meat had an excellent flavor with no gross chewy pieces. I have a really REALLY bad meat aversion, so bad that I was a vegetarian for 5.5 years, because I can't deal with tendons and miscellaneous meat appearances in my meal. But my love of cheesesteaks is literally what brought me back to carnivorous lifestyle. I'd die in a sword death for a proper cheesesteak. And Jersey Mike's has it going on.

Stopped in after working late this past weekend for takeout. Complete disappointment! Opened the sandwiches at home only to find dried out stale bread on both sandwiches we ordered. At the high price point for commercially prepared food these days that is completely unacceptable and we will never go back. We are going to stick with our local sub shop, Krazy Moose subs, which produces a far superior product. Have been going there for years and never had any problems. Fresh bread daily. Locally owned. No more franchise food for us! Update: Jersey Mike's replied to the above review and said they're "sorry." Then said they hoped we'd "come back in the future." Not a chance. Spent over $30 to get dried out puckered bread on not one but two sandwiches. Don't need any lame, insincere boilerplate 'apologies.' Our money goes elsewhere. Great job, people. Your Wasilla shop served dried out, puckered, stale bread instead of throwing it out and lost us as customers for life. Great business model. All to save a couple bucks on inventory. Way to go!
