Welp, during my week of vacation I freaking got Covid. I work in a damn hospital and never get sick. Go on camping on the Kenia peninsula and get Covid... WTF. But I digress. Since I was too sick to really do anything, including go to the Yelp Elite event, he took pity on me and we went on a drive around the scenic valley. While we were cruising around we got hungry, so I utilized my Jersey Mike app to pre-order us some dinner, so all my husband had to do was pop in and pick it up. My husband tells me the shop is nicer and bigger than the one in Anchorage... what else is new. The Valley always gets bigger and better. Our sandwiches were made as expected with no errors. I order in Anchorage all the time and this one was exactly the same. I like that dependability. It helps that their cheesesteaks (not Philly- you Alaskan weirdos- I was born in Philly, Philly is a place not a fucking sandwich) are perfect. Since moving to Alaska from Jersey a decade and a half ago, I have been longing for a proper cheesesteak. This is as close as you are going to get, minus the stupid red peppers, which ABSOLUTELY MUST BE OMITTED. They do NOT belong on the sandwhich and ruin the entire flavor profile. Thankfully the app makes it very easy to modify your sandwich to your preferences. What I think is the true proof of the quality of the sandwich is if it needs condiments. This sub does not. I typically drown my cheesesteaks in ketchup. But this sandwich has the perfect balance of cheese and meat, and the meat had an excellent flavor with no gross chewy pieces. I have a really REALLY bad meat aversion, so bad that I was a vegetarian for 5.5 years, because I can't deal with tendons and miscellaneous meat appearances in my meal. But my love of cheesesteaks is literally what brought me back to carnivorous lifestyle. I'd die in a sword death for a proper cheesesteak. And Jersey Mike's has it going on. read more

Went to Jersey Mike's in Wasilla Alaska multiple times. The first few times were impressed with the quality of food served and service. Stopped in after working late this past weekend for takeout. Complete disappointment! Opened the sandwiches at home only to find dried out stale bread on both sandwiches we ordered. At the high price point for commercially prepared food these days that is completely unacceptable and we will never go back. We are going to stick with our local sub shop, Krazy Moose subs, which produces a far superior product. Have been going there for years and never had any problems. Fresh bread daily. Locally owned. No more franchise food for us! Update: Jersey Mike's replied to the above review and said they're "sorry." Then said they hoped we'd "come back in the future." Not a chance. Spent over $30 to get dried out puckered bread on not one but two sandwiches. Don't need any lame, insincere boilerplate 'apologies.' Our money goes elsewhere. Great job, people. Your Wasilla shop served dried out, puckered, stale bread instead of throwing it out and lost us as customers for life. Great business model. All to save a couple bucks on inventory. When I lived on the East Coast, Jersey Mikes was a normal sub shop with the slogan of "a sub above." It was a solid place to occasionally go for lunch. This new location in Alaska looks exactly the same as the East Coast locale. Friendly service, fresh sliced meats and cheeses. The number of people who work on your sub is impressive: Person1: The slowest part is waiting to order and for them to freshly slice the meats and cheeses displayed in their deli case (like the deli at Carrs). Three size sandwiches to choose from. Regular and Giant were the only ones ordered while I was waiting. Person2: the assembler of ingredients. It speeds up from here. One can go with "Mike's Way" or choose the toppings for the sandwich. Pickles, pepper relish, jalapeños are a few of the extra add-ins. Person3: the cutter and wrapper. Then the sub goes to the next person. Person4: the cashier. Get your chips, fountain, or bottle drinks. There are at least four others working on the hot subs which takes up the back area of the order counter. Notes: - - The Giant sub is 19.99. Does that seem a lot for a sub? - - Parking and navigating the parking lot is a nightmare. Drive slow. Don't get mad about the others who don't. - - the flavors are dope. Soft bread, great blend of meat, to cheese, to veggie ratio - - lots of oil if you go mikes way. Be careful as it will drip and make the bread soggy. Eat quickly. Don't wait. read more

I have been going there since the opened, buying the same thing every couple of weeks. A regular #9. Since the first time I purchased a sandwich, have always been impressed by the product they serve. Went there today to get my usual sandwich and found a different product. The cheese slices were now halves and so thin you could see through it. The 1st layer of turkey was sliced so thin, again you could see through it, and there wasn't even enough to cover the bun. Same with the 2nd layer of beef. when I realized how bad it was I asked for some meat on the sandwich and they wanted to charge me for extra meat. I asked them if they all used to work for Subway. Asked for mustard and pickles and as they were closing it up had to remind them to put it in the sandwich. Got 1 strip of bacon vs. the 2 as in the past. Barely any mustard and twice the mayo. I have been a loyal customer since they opened, but after today, no more. I also pointed out that at 11:45am the lobby was empty, tells alot! read more

Great sandwiches, quality ingredients. The bread....... Anyway, I ordered a turkey, & provolone. It's kind of my thing, even at home. Added bacon, pepper relish, and Mayo. It was great, also got a chicken, bacon, ranch for the wife, and a regular Philly for the mother in law. First time they were quiet all day.... No complaints, better than subway, and a solid option in a city of limited sandwich options. Might I suggest only order the giant if you are sharing or plan on eating it at once. I think it may get soggy rather fast, and that would be super disappointing. Service was fast, we ordered pickup online, it worked well and gave us all the options. Everything was ready at the time we selected, and they were busy. I really think you can't go wrong, there is something on the menu for everyone. Plus the pepper relish is excellent! read more

The first month they were open they were epic. Not sure if staff turnover happened or if the staff stopped caring, but there is something wrong with every order we get now. We live quite a ways from the store and forget to check things out before driving home and the only response we get from the manager is "well it would be nice if you could come back tonight!" The nerve of some managers. A brownie means a brownie and oil and vinegar on the side means put it in the little sauce container ON THE SIDE!!! Giving me a cookie over a brownie and an oil and vinegar soaked sandwich is not ok, but don't say that to the manager. She will tell you it's really no big deal!! This is the second time in three weeks that Jersey Mike's got my online order wrong. They make great sandwiches, however they're getting a little sloppy with filling orders. If you're ordering online, then when you pick it up, make sure you open the sandwich and check it out. I know it's a hassle, but they need to know if they get it wrong. If they ask you what you're doing you say, this is happened too many times so I'm checking now. read more
