Hello, My husband was craving mariscos on since most of you know it got to 100 degrees and maybe a little less in some areas or more in others. First thing we thought about was a different place we had been too, but most mariscos restaurants close at 7pm or 8pm during the week. Which is a big time bummer! So we looked up other mariscos places and one that was open and near happened to be Mariscos Alas which is open until 10pm during the week. Never been here before and or heard of it, but it had some good reviews. We tried it and I believe the owner was helping us out serving us. My husband is a big time fan of ceviche, cocktails, seafood tacos, etc...We decided to go with the sampler that has 4 different styles of ceviche and marlin fish tacos. Didn't disappoint because my husband liked 2 of the samplers and I like the other 2 because everyone has their own style they like better. The tacos were also good, just put some salsa on it. The salsa for chips had great flavor, not spicy but good for chips. Next time I will be trying the Alas Tacos which has steak and shrimp since I was too full to order more. The service was great, there was a family having dinner right before us and it seemed like they enjoyed it as well because of the way out they talked to the owner/server about coming back. While we were there others came in. The server/ owner had great service at least for us. He also gave our lil one some ice cream. Definitely will be coming back! read more

Came here for the first time, food was tasteful. The salsa was spicy but so good you couldn't stop eating it if you tried. I had the shrimp al mojo de ajo and it hit the spot. I had a refreshing Michelada. Cured my and my boyfriends hangover! read more

Food was good but the customer service was a bit "OFF" not rude but a little dismissive. Three different waiters kept asking us if we had ordered our drinks and food, to which we said yes all three times... we ordered water and took q good 10mins to get; we ordered a second cup of coffee which we ended up canceling because we were done with our meal and by that time we were just annoyed other tables were being server faster even though they got there way after us.. We understand staff gets busy and we weren't difficult about it but there were only three other tables with people and bigger parties so maybe those tables were priority. We tried Mariscos Alas today and were very pleased. The menu is all in Spanish, but our server was helpful to explain certain things. I asked about Tacos Alas, and she said "beef, shrimp, cheese and avocado" and I said "That's for me!" And I said not spicy, and it wasn't and yet so flavorful and tasty. Hubby had fish tacos and the topping included mango, which was unusual, and it came with an optional sauce that was a bit spicy, but he was happy. We'll go back! read more

I was told about this gem of a restaurant and I am so glad we went to check it out. The food is amazing! We love their lemonade and the service is pretty good. You have to try the plate " camarones plebes" and camarones "Costa azul" oh MY, it's heaven in your mouth haha. Came here a few times with family and friends and they always treated us real good so I thought they deserved a good review. Usually get a coctel or ceviche but have tried about half the menu from the soups, appetizers, tacos, breakfast, to filets & everything has been delicious. What I especially love about this place is that they don't skimp out not saying the plates are huge but definitely not small. In New Year's Day and there's about 7 people here. We sat down and did not get greeted. It took about 10 min for the waitress to come and tak me our orders. Another 10 min for her to bring us waters (even tho we orders beers and micheladas). Our drinks finally came and the birthday girls drink was wrong. Yup it's our friends birthday and not only did it not gEt acknowledged her drink came out wrong. 45 min later half of the table food comes out. And we're talking ceviche and oysters (stuff you don't have to cook). I ordered Camerones culichi that wasn't real culichi so I sent it back. At this point we are waiting for our check to be taken from the table that they dropped off about 10 min ago. Horrible service I WILL NOT be coming back. We were charged 80+ for two plates. Found this spot on Yelp and omg you will not regret coming here! Was a little skeptical with the store front since it's a little hole in the wall spot but sooo worth it. Ok so this was my first time here and I ordered take out obviously due to everything going on. So 1st of all this place doesn't even give you tostadas with your ceviche. Am I suppose to ask for it even tho I ordered ceviche? If so why didn't the lady on the phone tel me? I speak Spanish she could've let me know an advance. I LOVE this place. The food is simply fantastic! If you want a hangover cure, try any of their delicious mariscos. La Chabelita is my all time favorite, first try and I was obsessed! I went back next day for another one. The food tastes freshly made, the shrimp feels as though it's melting in your mouth. They clearly use fresh ingredients. The only thing I haven't liked has been the cocktel de camaron, I prefer a different type of broth. Everything else I've tried has been delicious. The enchiladas were surprising savory. I have tried tacos of Marlin in many different locations even in TJ and I am yet to find a location better then this one. Everyone who I have invited to join me to this place have agreed that the tacos of Marlin are great.... The other seafood plates are also good and the shrimp is clean. Food is good here. I have visited twice in the past month. The only issues I have is that the girls here are not very attentive, not paying attention to the orders they are taking & giving orders to wrong tables. When I visited last month, they were missing three important ingredients for two of the meals we placed, but they didn't tell us until after the food was on our table. Then they gave my order to another table ( the party arrived way after we ordered). So I ended up waiting 10-15 minutes more for my order. By the time my plate was ready, the people in my table were done with their food. Not cool. So I went back today, and they disappointed us once again. They didn't give us the drink we asked for, and they misinformed me of the quantity of an item on my order. Sorry, but this is the last time as we will not be coming here again. read more

Man, I love this place. Foods, especially the coctels and the tostadas taste really good. The seafoods are very fresh and cool! I fooooking love Tostadas Mixtas. I like the music playing here *sometimes*. To be honest my first impression at this place was really good because this place was clean and the music was playing that afternoon was some euphonic spanish rock music.
