The drinks were large and perfectly blended. The ice cube in the old fashion was even rose shaped. My wife had the short ribs, they were so tender. The server who brought them out said, " I will leave the knife but you won't need it." Boy was he right. I had the shrimp short rib 4 cheese tortellini. The flavors melded so well. It made for a completely different flavor from the regular short ribs. The butter for the table bread was an interesting mix of garlic & herbs (it is green) and full of flavor. We completed our meal with the Bonbonerie Opera Creme Cake, oh my, what a finishing act. The chocolate cake, crem icing and chocolate pieces melded together to make a perfect flavor combination. Sit outside if you can, the area in Covington has a nice view of the local charm. Several restaurants along one of the main streets. The food was OK - we had the truffle combo, table bread, and shrimp short rib tortellini. I wasn't impressed with the food. Cannelloni was just right. OMG the Cacio e pepe! Best I've ever had. Skip the protein and let the truffle shine. Cocktails were great. All that was perfect. Our server Tristan, though, was next level. Spot on with everything we needed, but also engaging and fun. They really took the experience to the next level. Just a perfect night. Thank You!!!

Glad to have had the experience and my salad was good. It would have been nice if it was a bit larger since it was my meal. They offered me chicken or beef but I don't eat it. Pasta was a vegetarian offering but not if you want some protein. Very popular space that look us weeks to get into. With so many local Italian options I believe I will try another one.

Tasted fresh, and came with a slightly sweet tomato sauce. Would highly recommend! Gnocchi with pesto sauce was freakin incredible! Was hard to not finish (even though we were so full!) could eat the sauce by itself Pasta vodka was delicious too! Was slightly undercooked (pasta was a little hard) but the sauce was really good and would get it again! The tiramisu would delectable. Creamy and good size to share for two. Definitely a must get! If we lived in Cincinnati, this would be a spot we frequent once every few months. Its high quality ingredients and recipes, as well as reasonable prices, would drive us here for every date night. Highly highly recommend!!

I ordered salmon and it was nicely prepared and crisp on the outside with summer vegetables. The butter sauce was too voluminous for the dish and overwhelmed what was supposed to be a "light" dish - it was super heavy with melted butter. The environment for a Wednesday evening was busy! We had a bit of an issue in that we made the reservation over two weeks ago with the specific request to be seated away from the kitchen door, and we ended up being seated right near the very small hostess area and of course, next to the kitchen door. Our server mostly made up for it with good service and a very nice demeanor.

Loved seeing some menu throwbacks to the previous restaurant. The rigatoni, beets, bread service, squash & fish were all delicious. We only had two sour notes all night - celebrating a birthday (directly told our server when she asked), and no birthday dessert was offered. Normally wouldn't expect that, but TWO tables next to us got a cake slice with a candle. It felt a bit rude to have our special night missed when others were acknowledged. Our table ended up ordering the chocolate cremeux which had the worst, over-smoked ice cream flavor any of us ever experienced -- mother of god. Not sure why that exists.

Have been here four times and certainly feel comfortable with this rating. While ambiance and food…read moreare top rated, my experience fell flat when leadership failed to deliver. Walking in a bit awkward. One door is locked and the other is open. One has to guess correctly. The entrance is a little cramped. Goto the left for the bar or the right for the dining room. I've always enjoyed the open kitchen; the focus, hustle, and discipline is admirable and fun to watch. Decor is modern. Feels upscale. One can make this a casual date or dress it up for a bigger night out. All of our wait staff have been polite and are good at timing visits. The food offered here and all of Salazar's restaurants is excellent. Most recently, we enjoyed the lobster rolls, fried oysters sandwich, fries, steak, and scallops. Two desserts were taken to go. Each dish, no matter how advanced or simple, presented with elegance, perfect spice and texture, and spot on internal temps. Certainly it's the excellent cooking that justifies the $300 check that chased this outstanding experience. Everything I've mentioned is positive. Where do the two stars come from? Well in our last visit, we took dessert to go. We utilized valet that Salazars/Mitas contracts. It took forty minutes for our car to get to us. Forty. Minutes. We got ice cream as a part of a dessert to go. While one could argue we are taking a risk, and I agree, we actually had a cooler in the back of the car that was ice cold from earlier in the day. Thusly we felt we were taking a calculated risk. We get our car, see the ice cream is melted, and I go back. I explain the situation to the hostesses. The GM shows up and I provide a gentle explanation. Following this I say I'd like to the replace the included ice cream but end up ordering a couple other flavors. I get cashed out - no apology for the under performing valet, no offer to cover the melted scoop, just take my money and move forward. I understand that nothing is owed to me. I understand that restaurants aren't successful by giving out hand outs. My frustration comes with the lack of recognition of arguably restaurant error, the fact that loyalty means nothing, and that spending nearly $300 (or how much four visits cost in less than a year), including a kitchen tip, wasnt enough.

( Having managed 5 star restaurants I'm not sure about the placement of silverware and removal and replacement that occurred throughout with additional napkins. The server described the menu in great depth. I had the shaved ribeye with sautéed onion, really heavy and lacking sauce. Heavy and I guess it was good but I brought 80% home.
