Second time this has happened. Later Fernando asked me to pre-pay my bill to close out the register. Then another server came by and asked to take my plate away...I said "I'm not quite finished" (never asked if I wanted a to go box) she pulled out her iPhone and showed me that it was 10:01. The broth leaned more creamy and soy-forward than the pork-based tonkotsu flavor I'm used to, and the chashu pork belly was quite firm instead of tender. Izumi is a very small cozy space with limited seating, and during our lunch there was a steady stream of takeout orders. At least 30 people came in to pick up food while we were there.
