Look at all the one star reviews... they'll all from Californians. As someone from Austin TX, I can assure you, Californians ruin everything and are the most entitled people in the world. ANYWAYS... The food was very good. We were offered "normal or strong" cocktails when we ordered. There was delightful music playing from the juice shop next door. I got the carbonara, my wife got the tortellini... as excellent as any other meal we've had in Venice. I only give it four stars because a) the presentation was meh, and b) my carbonara could have used a bit more pork product. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly. I normally am not one to leave one star. This was underwhelming at its best. We ordered a martini and some limoncello spritz's and they were watered down and flat and tasted like sugar water. Please don't offer what you can not properly make!!!!! A JOKE OF A PLACE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS and listen to the reviews. Sham. The staff are nice and accommodating but the prices and food are ATROCIOUS, €5 for a can of Coke, €5 for two people to sit down ‍ the pizzas are dry, tasteless and hard. The pizzas are NOT fresh - more so frozen but they insist and insist they're fresh. Don't say you weren't warned. Truly disappointing the only nice thing was the decor. Money racket. It would be like me as an Irish person opening a Thai restaurant it doesn't work and clearly it's not working. Food is bland and not tasteful. Some serious changes are needed here, starting with the prices. I asked to speak to the manger or owner but was declined, which is laughable and says everything you need to know about who's running this place. We wandered into this marvelous little restaurant and had our best meal in Venice. The service was top notch and the food amazing. The simple bruschetta was perfection....the tomatoes were the star on perfectly toasted bread. The spaghetti and meatballs were simple, but delicious. Stopped by here for a late lunch/early dinner a couple of days ago in May. The restaurant is a bit tucked away, but is still situated on the usual walking corridors in Venice, as opposed to the side alleys. I came here with low expectations, and craving pizza, specifically. I mean, after all, I was in Italy... theres pizza everywhere. Im sure I could walk 20 feet and be able to find another restaurant that would be able serve the food equally as good or if not, better. There was both indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiter (Dexter) was amazing (I guess it was the luck of the draw after reading the other reviews?). He recommended for us to sit inside with the air conditioning. We sat down and was tended to promptly; not a lot of people were dining so that could have been the reason why we received the grade A service. Nonetheless, he accomodated to my family and my 4 month old daugther (there are bathrooms, but no changing table for babies). He recommended the seafood due to the specialty, but I was deadset on the pizza. Lets say that for the past 5 years (3 years living in California and 2 years living in Germany), Ive finally been able to find the taste and quality that I missed about pizza from New Jersey here. I had instant flashbacks to my childhood. The fried calamari was delicious as well. Not overfried or over battered. To go along with it, he brought put chilled red wine, which is outside the norm for what I like for red wine. It was surprisingly refreshing and good after a long hot day. And then another waiter said of Course we have it and pointed at the menu where there was a network and password listed on the cover of the menu. Had to ask for bread twice when all the other tables seemed to get bread as soon as they sat. Pizza was good. A little soggy because there was a lot of veggies on it and it flops over. Pasta was not like the picture at all. Had miniature meatballs and extremely salty. Couldn't finish my dish. Overall wouldn't recommend this place. They just don't care because they get people no matter what. And by people I mean tourists. Total was 36 euros. More expensive. Compared to the other places we went to. read more

I had already been warned about the terrible customer service in Italy, I am on my 3rd day in Venice and now I run into the worst service of all. The manager has an incredibly bad attitude and seems to need to sell at any cost, we asked him for two suggestions of dishes to share and he told us that all the dishes were for one person, when they arrived we realized that it was a lie that with a worse attitude than at the beginning he told us: "I'll give it to you to take", because, of course! One tourist has room in the room to store and reheat. He did not offer water, he practically threw the beers without serving them in the glass, and so I could continue... The food was excellent, but the service ruined them. If I could give no stars I would. I came here after reading reviews deciding to take the bad reviews with a grain of salt.But now I wish I would have heeded their warning. When I sat down I saw people eating dessert and thought it was likely a good sign. I ordered the beef filet with green pepper sauce. I asked for it to be cooked medium well,which the waiter didnt seem to understand, and clarified asking about 70% cooked with just a little pink to which I agreed was correct. They brought out the steak which was drowning in the sauce, totally overbeared the whole dish. I cut into the meat to have it barely cooked. Working in the service industry I dont like to cause unnecessary hassle but this was awful. I called the waiter over and expressed how it wasnt very good and asked if I could get it taken off the bill and get something else instead. He said he would check and left, coming back telling me they could. He proceeded to try to feed me a line about how in Italy well done means barely cooked. It is very apparent they dont value the opinion of their customers and will give the bare minimum in terms of quality. I ordered the vegetable soup to make up for the horrendous filet, which is better for certain. I most certainly would not recommend this establishment. I dont value taking my business to a place that very clearly lacks integrity. I feel this business has forgotten that it exists for the people it is serving. I would encourage readers to heed the warning of other reviewers and take your well earned money to another establishment that has much more integrity and care. We visited on a Friday night in February. The service was great and the food was very tasty. We just happen upon this place on our way to San Marco square, it look clean and inviting. Terrible experience. All of the food was disappointing and the waiter manipulated us into to purchasing food we didn't want. He said "would you like bread" and when we said yes he brought it out and then proceeded to charge us. As many people can relate bread is usually included when you go to an Italian restaurant. We didn't eat it because it was stale anyway. Unam was our waiter and overall was a very slimy guy. He pushed upsells the whole meal and didn't care at all about the customer experience. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Service was horrible, the waiters had attitudes, the food was extremely SALTY. I had to ask for them to make another one because the seafood pasta I got was nothing but salt. They refused and said he tried it and it's not the food but me. He asked if I'm an American and almost forced me to get a salad.
