I was very impressed with this restaurant. My coworker and I stopped here because this guy right outside the restaurant literally begged us to try the food. We obliged to eat here because we were hungry and I always wanted to try the pizza in Italy. I got my chance and it was amazing. I took my wife here a year later and I enjoyed the food both times I went here. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. I look forward to coming back here in the near future.

Food is food. Lots of the menu is listed as frozen. Mushrooms appeared as canned and ham was the cheap stuff. The price is the typical inflated prices for crappy ingredients. But none of us died and after over a week of Italian food it was kind of nice for the ravioli and spaghetti to look like Chef Boyardee and the bread to look like they came from a Pillsbury dough boy can. Basically a typical tourist money grab. Great location with high prices and low quality ingredients. Service was okay. Came for the location, left knowing I made a mistake.

Stopped here with my hubby and friends for dinner- the patio was packed and with our last 2 meals in Venice being garbage we based it on the crowd of people. The host Roberto made us an offer we couldn't refuse, "you don't like your first course, you don't pay and you leave" The food was delicious from the buffalo mozzarella, spaghetti alla vongola, homemade lasagna and massive calzones we were not disappointed. The homemade tomato sauce is supreme, which is a comment I rarely make. There are meal options that cater to all budgets. It doesn't hurt to try out this affordable restorante for lunch or dinner.

I was impressed. Warmfriendly service, a great location on the square and a tasty pizza. We also really enjoyed the wine, amarone Della Valpolicella

Didn't have to go far to find this a awesome ristorante. Marco, our waiter nailed it with his attention to detail and us. My husband had the calzone while I enjoyed authentic Italian pizza . The atmosphere was fantastic, with street music in the background at the plaza. Cozy, romantic place. Highly reccomend this place . Congrats to Marco and his new baby son

Was craving a calzone and happened to discover this place amongst the array of restaurants in the area. The servers outside were very welcoming and sat us outside as it was a nice day with great weather. There was not a long wait for our food to come out once we ordered and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of my calzone once it reached the table. The cheese was plentiful and the sauce was delicious, I only wish there was more prosciutto than mushrooms but it was still great. Inexpensive for great quality.

Went here for dinner on our last night in Venice. Someone recommended the octopus so I had to try. I had it in a salad as an appetizer and found the flavor lacking a little. The lasagna that I ordered as a main entry was a little too mushy. But the flavor was good. The white, house wine was very good as was the service. The waiter was a little forgetful but maybe it was just that he was too busy but when we had his attention he was very attentive and friendly. Would I visit again, not sure. Would I recommend is still up for debate....

This is one of the few places you can find a decent breakfast. Sit outside, drink a coffee or tea and enjoy a delicious meal to start your day of exploration. My boyfriend wasn't in the breakfast mood and ordered the calzone. My mouth dropped at the gigantic size when it came out to the table. I'm not sure how dinner is here, but I can definitely recommend the breakfast.

Come here to dine at a leisurely pace! Service was great and they were very accomodating. Here, they leave you for longer stretches of time so that you may dine in a relaxed atmosphere. It's not rushed at all. Food was very simple and very delicious. If you're seeking a place to grab something to eat and rest your feet, after wandering up and down the Grand Canal, settle here.

Good food, pleasant staff, quick service. Located at the main corner before one of the many shopping paths which makes a great spot for people watching.

A combination of a thunderstorm and an early dinner meant the place was empty, but Marco and other staff welcomed us warmly all the same. We had the antipasti Parmigiana Di Melanzane (fried eggplant with cheese) and enjoyed the mains Pasta Al Forno (baked pasta with beef and peas), Pasta Con Le Polpette E Salsa Di Pomodoro (spaghetti with meatballs - not pictured), and Turbante Di Pesce Spada "A Beccafico" (baked swordfish). These were also with the Casa Rosso wine and Birra Siciliana beer both blonde and red. All food was superb. The fried eggplant was flavorful and fresh, and the bread was crispy and savory. The baked pasta was rich, the spaghetti and meatballs were nostalgic, and the swordfish was delectable. Safe to say we all cleared our plates easily. We wish nothing but the very best for Marco and his restaurant. This food was some of the best we had on our two week stay throughout Italy. The atmosphere, staff, and of course the amazing food made for a great experience that we would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced homestyle Sicilian meal.

From the moment we arrived, the owner, Marco, made us feel genuinely welcome. He explained that the food is Sicilian and quite different from what you typically find in Venice, which was exactly what we were hoping for after days of similar menus. The menu is short, focused, and built around family recipes. We ordered the pasta of the day, the roast beef, and the smoked salmon dish, and every single item was fantastic. To finish, we had limoncello made by Marco's mother, and it was absolutely delicious. What really made the evening special was Marco and his family. They were warm, kind, and genuinely happy to share their story with us. We loved hearing about his late father and the lasting impact he had on both the family and the restaurant. One of the most memorable parts of the night was joining in the restaurant tradition of coloring pictures and exchanging them with drawings already hanging on the ceiling. We ended up taking home a picture created by a family member, and it will be making the journey back with us to Carlsbad, California. Without a doubt, this was the best dining experience of our entire trip through Europe. Highly recommended!!

For dinner in peak season, try to make a reservation as the restaurant is very small. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated immediately inside and greeted warmly by the restaurant owner. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (most under 20 Euros for a 75 ML bottle). For appetizers we ordered the cheese with honey for 13 Euros, absolutely amazing! We also combined this with the local olive oil and fresh bread brought to the table to start as well. For our second course we chose two pastas, the Penne Alla Amatriciana (I think it was around 12 Euros), and the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (I think it was around 12 Euros as well). Both had extremely fresh homemade ingredients and were out of this world and extreme attention to care in the preparation. For our entree we split the breaded pork chop (I think it was around 20 Euros), including a side of potatoes (similar to the steak fries that you would see in the U.S.) The service was absolutely amazing and we loved dining alongside the owner and his family and meeting the cat that also lives at the restaurant and comes by to greet you during the meal as well. It truly was like you were dining at the home of the owner and is a must try if you are in Venice!
