Found this place and got seated right away. There's a couple of tables to eat outside and the rest is indoor. We got a table outside and there was a heater above us which kept us warm, while still feeling a bit of the cold weather. I was very comfortable. The service was good. Warm and inviting. Beppino is very close to San Marco's Square (Piazza de San Marco), Doge's Palace, and Saint Mark's Basilica. My son thoroughly enjoyed their "fried potatoes" (french fries) and pizza. I loved their bruschetta and pesto spaghetti. On our first night in Venice, we came across this restaurant and the menu looked good. I do think it's a tad pricier than the other restaurants we've eaten at in Rome and Florence, but we were so hungry. The calamari was pretty good and it comes with 2 slices of polenta. I had the fettucini with ham in a cream sauce and my husband ordered the carbonara. The dishes were both good, but I have to admit it took forever to come. Davvero carino! This was a lovely little restaurant we came across after a long day of sight seeing. They have lots of outdoor seating in a inner courtyard in the back which is shaded with umbrellas. The staff was overly and helpful and the food was delicious too. Thank you! read more

4 stars bc of their delicious creamy tiramisu! Homemade daily! It was the best thing I tasted here. I ordered the pre fixed menu which is a great deal. 3 plates of food for less than 15 euros! I didn't like the squid ink cuttle fish pasta, it was a bit salty. The grilled salmon was so crispy and cooked to perfection !!! I wish I had 2 plates of salmon! Yay! Another gluten free spot! We enjoyed a nice, reasonably priced meal here. In a busy area but they were able to take us right away for dinner. Really good gf penne pasta dish with bacon, onions & paprika in a tomato sauce. Sooo good! Also had the branzino which was a whole fish the waiter expertly filleted at the table! Nice bottle of pinot Grigio for 18 euro. . Total under 80 euro! No service fee. Not sure why they weren't very busy and no reviews for a year. Worth a stop. read more

Just finished our meal at this location. The wait staff was prompt and seated us near the window to watch the sidewalk. The overall visit was average. It worked out to be a good place to grab some pasta and dessert before hitting the streets again for some more shopping. read more

CUTE LITTLE PLACE We had lunch here. Not quite sure how we picked it from among the dozen or so other similar places along the same walking street - perhaps it was the checkered red & white tablecloths. we had a very nice Margherita Pizza and a Spaghetti Pesto, together with a Bellini & a Chianti. DONT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE FOOD POISONING. I got two oysters and clam spagghetti and was sick for 4 days. My friend got lobster pasta and was sick for 3 days. My other friend got pizza that came out partially raw. She just went hungry. Ok this place has 6 reviews. There is a reason for it these guys don't know how to cook. Imagine an empty calzone, yep a giant calzone nothing in it, oh some caned mushroom. If you like frozen lasagna, that is about 10 notches above this place. Keep in mind this place is in Italy. Stoufers is in the frozen food isle in USA. One complement they are very nice. read more

We chose this place today because we wanted grilled fish. We ended up getting this big grill platter because the waiter was impatient and wanted to push us to take this platter instead of the other one which was 24 euro. Anyways the platter was fresh and delicious but we liked to get menu of the lunch. So if you go to eat here decide from advance what you want to eat and don't let them intimidate you! They also put this big platter without a hitter under, the food gets cold very fast. Something general in Italy is that they are not that friendly. read more

My wife & I were hungry & we asked around for a classic Italian dinner. So we were told to go to rossopomodoro. We went there but it was an hour wait minimum. So, we decided to look for another restaurant since we were hungry & didn't want to wait. We walked about 10 feet down the block on the same side as rossopomodoro & found this great restaurant Beppino. The food, price, service & ambiance was all perfect. I went here based on ratings on Yelp. This was more recommended than others in the touristy area. But...someone trying get you into the store. Check. Servers pushing me to order more food. Check. Sign on a touristy restaurant which wasn't good. We wanted to try the bass and the server was asking for how many people and recommending for 3-4 people. At first I was thinking 1 person portion but way the server made it sound it seemed too small for our group of 7 although we were ordering other stuff. Fish that came out was humongous. Probably enough for 6-7 people and cost 90 Euros. It looked nice and seafood that came with it was tasty but fish itself was just ok. My party found clam spaghetti too salty although I thought it was good. Tomato soups was good. Vegetable soup was ok. Pizza diavolo was good. Spaghetti bolognese was good. Seafood risotto was ok. Seemed bit underdcooked. So for around St. Mark's area food is good. Just don't get pushed around by the waiter and order small portion. The waiter asked for tip at the end which was another sign of tourist trap. I took a quick look to make sure that table fee that is customary at restaurants weren't charged before adding tip. If this was first restaurant I've visited, I would've been more satisfied, but previous night and for first meal I ate at Taverna San Lio which set the bar extremely high. And Taverna San Lio is only 5 minutes walk away from St. Mark's Square. read more

Last meal in Venice and it was good. Good prices, good service (I was really impressed considering service experience in Europe) & really good food. We had: a Venetian Spritzer, fettuccini, bean and pasta soup, which was good, but just needed a little salt; a beef dish & pizza with a side of Marinara. The fettuccini had such a delicious taste, not too rich, just perfect. The pizza was great as well. The server was prompt taking our order and very friendly. The roasted chicken was good. Sides in Italy in general seem to be forgotten but I think this place knows Americans expect a side because I was offered potatoes or salad. Skip it, potatoes are french fries, the good old American kind unless that's what you are after. Sacher wasn't so good either and when the server asked, I said it was dry. I think he took it off the bill and also gave me a shot of limoncello. So that's why I gave them 4 stars. I was looking for authentic and I think I got their version of authentic catered to American picky eaters. I can't blame them for that. read more

Great Food, Service, Price and Location! Bepari was on the street bringing customers into this restaurant. What a great personality this young man had, really made us feel at home. Once seated, the service was beyond any we have had on our month long vacation. The food was excellent and just the right temperature. Xiaoyu was helping with the service and treated us with after dinner drinks. She was very sweet and a great waitress! On our last night we were in Venice they had our table waiting for us with candlelight when we arrived. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in Venice! read more
