Conco D'oro pizza minus mushrooms for my hubby
    Leslie B.

Conca D'Oro is known as the oldest pizzeria in Venice. It was definitely one of the best pizza places we went to during out recent trip to Italy. According to my husband, it was the very best. We actually went there twice during our 4-day stay in Venice. I liked the atmosphere. It is on a fun corner with lots of restaurants and shops, and it is definitely a popular place. Service was great both times. Both times my husband ordered the Conca D'Oro Pizza. I tried it and it was really good... a slightly spicy salami pizza. I think the crust and sauce made it better than most pizzas. We also enjoyed a bottle of Chianti Classico each time. On my first visit, I had the pumpkin ravioli in a creamy sausage sauce. Honestly, it was so delicious and gluttonous, but too good not to eat it all. On my second visit, I almost ordered the same thing but decided to try something different. I ordered what I think are called Fazzoli, which are like bruschetta made out of pizza dough. I got the 5 fazzoli plate, in which each one has different toppings. The pizza dough was really good and it was nice and warm, but I just didn't care for the cold toppings (cold cuts, sauces, etc..). I felt that it would have been much better had the toppings been hot. Anyway, there were lots of other menu items that sounded great, but I didn't care for the one I ordered very much. All in all, I really enjoyed this place, but like some menu items more than the others. I highly recommend the pizza and lasagna.

This made my day. The prawns were the best! This is the first place that was of our choosing on this guided tour so it was a welcome escape.

Nice place in the Castello district and not far from St. Marks plaza. Went with family if 5. My wife has the Pizza and it was good. Their dough recipe is simple and delicious. I had pasticciata antico, a baked pasta dish and it was really tasty as well. The service was not very prompt, and had to flag waiter down to get more water or other needs for the table. After my dish arrived i decided i would like a glass of wine but never saw the waiter again until time to ask for check. This is either a sign of being understaffed, or just poor service. Atmosphere was nice and we had an upstairs table. Perhaps the patio service would have been better?

Great tasting pizza! We got the house specialty pizza with smoked prosciutto, spicy salami, and sausage. Fair warning, the spicy salmon was pretty darn spicy, but still tasted really good. The table next to us ordered a 6 foot long pizza, looked crazy and could have fed a large group of people alone. Can't speak about the taste, but sure looked unique. The waiters who served us were all very nice and quick. The food also came out pretty quickly as well. Pricing was good for being in a touristic area in Venice.

I have been to Venice a dozen times in about as many years. Any place you are going to eat near the hotels is going to be geared towards the tourists. In all those visits and restaurants this one is by far the most memorable and proved to be a great experience. In a town where the service leaves much to be desired we had the best service yet of the trip. Our server was fast, friendly and she even checked back in on us a few times to make sure that everything was okay. We had the garlic focaccia that was hot and fresh from the kitchen with a great flavor. We both had the vegetable soup which was also excellent and two different types of pizza that once again was excellent. The price compared with other tourist Venetian restaurants is fair. I did find €12 for a cup a bit high compared with the cost of a pizza at €13, but it was an excellent soup. The check also did not include a mandatory / hidden service fee or cover charge.

Delicious pizza in a good location. We were looking for a quick lunch just as we arrived in Venice. With so many places to choose from we were happy to have chosen here. Tables outside were nice. Service was friendly and quick. I would recommend trying their pizza!

The restaurant is beautiful inside and is celebrating their 70 year anniversary. The food came out quickly and the menu had great options. It wasn't the best food we have had in Venice but it was great compared to the Italian food we have back at home in the USA.

I get caught with anything that advertises history so when I read the sign "First Pizzeria in Venice - 1947", I was sold. Is this true? I don't know, lol, but it was catchy. Food: we both had pizza, nothing to brag about but it wasn't bad. I have had better pizza in Venice. Place is nice, seating is plentiful inside and outside. Service was friendly and fast. Overall not bad if you want a quick bite.

This is a great place in Venice! My friends and I were hungry at 11:15pm and were looking for a place to eat. We reached the restaurant at 11:35pm and when we asked one of the waiter if they were serving food and the waiter said all he can get for us is pizza. We felt relieved and lucky that we were going to get food. I really liked that those folks at restaurant were so accommodating and nice to us. We had ordered 3 pizza and all of them tasted delicious! If I ever get a chance again I will surely visit this place.

Wow! Sick of Italian food and looking for something new in the local streets of Venice... Conca de Oro came through with good music -non American- and amazing great tasting food... authentic tasting tacos, house mojito, and falafel burger!?!?! Phenomenal! Outside setting, service was great, fast, understating, perfect! Thank you! Love you Venice.

The service was great and all the pasta is amazing. The pumpkin ravioli pairs well with the Amarone.
