Found this place while walking around in Venice. I believe I hit the jackpot. Got spritz and some pizza. Everything was so good. I was fortunate to have a waiter who also speaks English because my Italian is not so great. Very friendly and amazing food. Wish I could say I'll be back, but it's soooo far from home. Definitely must try!

    Taglioni in nero di seppia

Although the outside isn't anything spectacular, the true magic happens when you sit down to eat. We loved the food so much we actually went back the next (and our final) night. Our amazing waiter Andrea remembered us and sat us at the same table. I absolutely loved what I had the previous night- Taglioni in nero di seppia (pasta with squid ink with Venetian cuttlefish) that I was going to order it again. Andrea said no you had that last night, tonight you try Spagheti all'uovo allo scoglio (spaghetti with garlic, clams, mussels, squid and scampi). Both meals were utterly fantastic. Would recommend 1000%! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187870-d1320417-r1034142807-Da_Mamo-Venice_Veneto.html#

While Da Mamo is known for their pizza, I my personal favorite is their seafood pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly and everything was extremely fresh. Most restaurants in Italy offer their own version of homemade tiramisu and Da Mamo's version is the most unique and delicious of them all. The crunchy texture of the ladyfingers adds a whole new dimension to the dessert. The one thing I found slightly inconvenient is that we had to scan a QR code for menu and cellphone signals in the restaurant can be spotty at times.

We stopped in for a pizza and cool drink. Felt good to sit after several hours of walking. Located not to far from St Marks and close to the Rialto Bridge. It's a small cozy restaurant but be prepared for an energy filled noisy room. Service was great with quick seating. We split a pizza and they brought it out divided on two plates. We ordered the diavola a pizza. It was listed as spicy but it tasted like pepperoni from home. Thin crust was cooked nice and crispy. It was good. They brought us a complimentary small dark chocolate cup filled with a lemon liquor for dessert. The flavors blended well together and it was a nice way to end the meal. Good choice for lunch.

we were looking for places to try in venice and this place was highly suggested so we decided to try it out. you definitely need a reservation as the place is small and really popular; however after eating the food not sure why it's popular. we started off with the bruschetta and then had a pizza and salad. the bruschetta bread was nice but the tomatoes had no flavor. the salad was nice and healthy and a large portion size. the pizza was a bit disappointing as it was large in size but had little flavor or seasoning. overall the recommendation did not fulfill as it was a disappointing lunch

    Burano Pizza

Our tour guide recommended the perfect spot for dinner tonight, and it did not disappoint! This quaint little restaurant served up a delicious meal from start to finish. We began with the black tagliolini with prawns and grilled scallops--both absolutely amazing. For our main course, we enjoyed the Burano pizza, the Aries pizza, and a perfectly baked calzone. The evening ended on a sweet note with complimentary melon liqueur shots served in tiny chocolate cups. A memorable meal in a charming setting!

It's been a year since my husband and I visited this restaurant and I'm still craving the margherita pizza! The fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil were amazing delicious. The pizza crust was perfectly crunchy. It was pretty large pizza, but it was so good I finished the whole thing! The service was good, not super friendly but it was fine. The restaurant itself was very small, but we didn't mind. The small restaurant just makes it more interesting and part of the experience.

Even on a busy evening, they managed to sit the two of us without a reservation (granted we were there as they opened at 7). The food was delicious; the service was friendly and professional. They even split our pizza for us before bringing it to the table.

The carbonara was amazing!! Not too filling but so tasty! The restaurant is down a cute alley and is so quaint! The staff is so kind and quick to help!

Da Mamo is one of the best restaurants we've ever went to! It was the traditional Italian Cuisine. The staff were very attentive! The food took a while but it was worth it! While waiting, they served us with bread with balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil. We ordered the Fritto di Pesce, Spaghetti All'Uovo Allo Scoglio and Quattro Formaggi Pizza. The Fritto di Pesce (seafood sampler) was delicious, yummy and crunchy! The spaghetti (seafood pasta) was delicious and the pizza was delightful! After getting our check, they gave us "shots" of liquer as a thank you. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's definitely one of the places I would go back when visiting Venice.

We loved our dinner at this cute place! The appetizer we shared was one of my favorite dishes I had in Venice. Burrata con crema di melanzane bruciate e pomodorini caramellati. Burrata with burnt aubergine cream and caramelized cherry tomatoes. The pastas, pizzas and other entrees were also delicious. Several in our group also had dessert tiramisu and chocolate cake which received high marks. We loved the little touches of the after dinner drink, bread, and wonderful service.

Lots and lots of restaurants to choose from in Venice but this unassuming restaurant is a true gem…read more It's easy to miss as it's tucked in a corner right by a bridge. Once inside they have a couple tables with small window views of any gondolas passing by. We started off with a plate of lightly fried sardines topped with pickled white onions. The fry on the fish was super light and those vinegar-y onions were the perfect pairing. We cleaned that plate. The lasagna was well balanced with the meat, sauce, cheese. The squid ink pasta was chewy/al dente with a subtle touch of seafood flavors giving the cuttlefish. It was very umami but nothing too overbearing. Delicious! It's a Family business that was been around for many years. Grazie to the friendly staff and chef!

The jovial mood with the waiters with big personalities is gone. The menu you can find online is no longer available so you get a very limited menu to choose from--nearly entirely seafood. So if you have anyone in your party that just wants pasta with a red meat sauce or a non seafood lasagne, not available. We were a party of 8. Two people ordered the scallop appetizers. Pretty presentation on shells. 3 tiny scallops in the shells. More like an amuse bouche. Totally disappointing. The linguine with clams as an entree had clams so small you almost needed a magnifying glass to see them. Couldn't taste the clams and annoying to try to eat something so tiny , and just try to eat the pasta with all those tiny shells. The baby shrimp on polenta was actually good. But again the shrimp were like tiny hatchlings tempura battered. Tasted okay except for those that were soggy from the polenta that was very soupy. I wanted the gnocchi with crab which was on the very limited menu but no longer available. The alternative was gnocchi with a sea bass sauce which I chose but didn't like at all. The gnocchi were good but the sauce wasn't at all for me. We had to continue to ask for side dishes for the bread, butter, olive oil, salt and pepper. We will not return. Poor value for your money. Plus there is a cover charge and service included in your bill which was a surprise. Very sad to see our favorite Venetian restaurant decline so much.
